This episode explores how to find, honour, and follow your purpose, even during challenging times. In essence, purpose is about authentically expressing your unique gift or message to the world.
Quote: “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
Living your purpose feels like: being passionate, being clear on the direction you are heading, experiencing flow, attracting authentic relationships, and finding inner peace.
Purpose is not just tied to career; it encompasses all aspects of life. Purpose is like a puzzle, where each piece represents different aspects of yourself. Living in congruence with your values and aligning various aspects of life contributes to living your purpose.
Two fundamental elements for purpose:
Combining knowing your authentic self with taking aligned action creates a roadmap to purpose. Your purpose is always evolving, so embrace the journey of self-discovery and alignment.
Remember to pause and reflect on your own journey as you listen to this episode, and feel free to take notes on what resonates with you.

In this episode, we'll embark on a profound meditation experience designed to help you unlock your true potential, tap into your self-worth, and invite abundance into your life. In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to forget just how remarkable and deserving we are. This meditation is a reminder that you possess the power to attract and manifest the abundance you seek.
Before we begin, find a quiet and comfortable space where you can relax without any distractions. If you're driving or operating machinery, I encourage you to return to this meditation later when you can fully immerse yourself in the experience.
So, let's begin this transformative journey together. Sit or lie down, close your eyes, and take a few deep, soothing breaths. Inhale positivity, exhale self-doubt. Inhale self-worth, exhale scarcity. You are deserving of all the abundance that the universe has to offer, and it's time to acknowledge and embrace that truth.
As we move through this meditation, remember that your self-worth is not determined by external factors but by the love and respect you have for yourself. Embrace the abundance that already resides within you and watch it radiate out into the world.
Now, let's dive deep into this meditation on self-worth and abundance. Are you ready? Let's begin.

Chicas Poderosas is a non-profit organization. With philanthropic and foundation support it grows networks of women, LGBTQIA+ people, people of African descent, migrants and dissidents who transform communities through diverse and representative narratives.
Chicas Poderosas works with both journalists and national and international media. They have impacted more than 10’000 journalists, increasing their leadership and awareness on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) issues. Through the work and training of Chicas Poderosas, innovative and pioneering media outlets have been able to embed this new mindset into their organizations such as inclusive leadership practices, gender and race sensitive journalism, and diverse workforce policies.
Mariana shares a story of how a report of Chicas Poderosas changed the law in support of women’s health. She looks back at her experience in media newsrooms in London and Miami and how that created the momentum for her to fully engage herself in Chicas Poderosas. Having grown the community to a substantial size for the last ten years, she is proud of the impact the organisation has had so far.
Her next vision is exploring a new way of living, closer to nature. She is regenerating a piece of land in the Algarve, in the South of Portugal. Together with friends she is planting trees and is living in tents and hosting meetings under the stars. Her experience so far has been extremely healing and rejuvenating.
Self-care for her means allowing the dance between performance and balance to unfold naturally. Over the years she had realised that we are not built for action only, but that calm and rest are essential for our wellbeing in the long-run. For her, feminine energy is the force that takes care of the softer parts of ourselves and she feels that this healing power is very much needed not only for individuals but also for the system and the planet overall.
This podcast episode is for everyone who seeks inspiration for dreaming big and taking bold action. Mariana is a powerhouse for conscious change and a role model for many.

Wenn man also Raum Zeit selbst manipulieren könnte, könnte man eventuell Überlichtgeschwindigkeiten erreichen.”
Warum fällt uns Veränderung so schwer?

Hilda N. Liswani is a sustainability leader with a focus on inclusive innovation. She has more than 10 years of experience working with policymakers, venture capitalists, corporations, and academics to develop, communicate, and implement sustainability strategies. Notable organizations include EPFL, the EU, the Mastercard Foundation, and Siemens. Through her organization WeBloom, she is passionate about diversity and inclusion to transform tech ecosystems around the world. She has been awarded the Queen's Young Leaders Award and honored as a Forbes 30 under 30. And as a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum, she is part of a community of change makers. She believes that innovation can only reach its full potential if it involves everyone.
Heidi: Hilda, you are the Executive Director of WeBloom, a non-profit organization based in Zurich. What is your vision for this organization and how did WeBloom come about?
Hilda: Our vision at WeBloom is pretty bold and ambitious. We want to transform global tech ecosystems around the world and make them more inclusive. We want them to reflect the society they claim to serve. All these products and services from tech companies designed to help us, the consumers. We want them to reflect society as a whole.
The reason WeBloom was created is because in the processes of tech development, tech investment, in all the different areas of the tech industry, there's just not enough inclusion of women and men or cultural minorities. And that's a really critical problem because tech impacts all of our lives.
Heidi: There is a connection between diversity, inclusion and sustainability that is obvious to some people but less so to others.
Hilda: The relationship between diversity and sustainability? These seem like two very different issues, but they are connected: Most sustainability solutions are actually developed by women. On the investor side, among retail investors, women tend to be more interested in supporting sustainability projects. So they are the main drivers of sustainability. And, most sustainability startups are founded by women. If women develop most sustainability solutions and at the same time do not have access to the right funding, this means that many sustainability solutions do not come to market
Heidi: What do you think are the consequences of not addressing these issues?
Hilda: According to McKinsey, we will lose 26% of GDP if we don't integrate all women into the economy. And at the end of last year, the Linnean Report was published: a series of studies found that many female executives are currently leaving their jobs because they cannot reconcile them with their values.
And on a human level? If women are not able to participate, what does that mean for our society? What does that mean for the younger generation? How are women perceived on a daily basis? How do they experience their daily lives? So there are consequences on both the macro and micro levels.

Self-compassion is one element that yoga has encouraged her to develop within herself. This has led to her mission which is to guide her students via yoga towards their inner voice, to help them find calm within, and to support them to develop the strength needed to fully blossom.
Self-care plays an important part in all of this. Yoga is a practice that improves the connection we have with our body and shows us what’s truly authentic to us, what our needs and boundaries are. The most beautiful element is that all the learning and benefits of a regular yoga practice spread into one’s everyday life.

For many of us, a major part of our health and wellbeing journey involves 'cleaning up' our food. But what about our skincare? This is an area that often gets missed or undervalued, even though our skin is our body's biggest organ.
For my guest Natalia Monnard (known as Nats), her passion for creating beauty products all began with an unlikely product... deodorant. What started as a personal need to find a great toxic-free option turned into a business mission to create the product that was missing from her search.
With true entrepreneurial spirit, Natalia saw a problem and sought to find a creative way to fix it. This purpose led her to transition from her very successful corporate career in banking to team up with co-founder Sarah to create their natural beauty company SQIN Ø.
And they didn't stop at deodorant! SQIN Ø produce a range of 100% natural, chemical free beauty products that include moisturises, oils and balms. But their recent success in securing crowdfunding means that a new batch of products will shortly be revealed.
In this episode, Nats shares a wealth of guidance and wisdom on everything from natural skincare and starting your own business, to the pitfalls of positive thinking and the limitations of approaching 'work-life balance' as if our career and personal lives are in competition with each other.
She warns us of the lack of transparency in the natural beauty industry, how toxins hide even in the products that claim to be organic, and why we must avoid anti-perspirant and reach for deodorant instead.
We also delve deep into her personal entrepreneurial journey. She shares her top lessons learned after one year in business, the number one thing that helped her leave behind a traditionally successful career, and the two 'sources of courage' she regularly leans upon when she's having one of those days where everything feels hard.
Whether you're curious or passionate about natural skincare, or want some inspiration about starting your own business, this episode is for you. Nats shows us that purpose and vision are not just things we do or work towards, but are a system of beliefs that can offer us incredible support and motivation through both the joys and challenges of creating something new.
Natalia Monnard is CEO and Co-Founder at SQIN Ø (SQIN ZERO), a Swiss startup working in natural skincare and sustainability. The company was founded in December 2020 and launched its first product only 5 months later in May 2021. Since then, the company has developed an entire facial skincare line in addition to its initial core product, natural deodorant cream. Before that, Natalia spent a decade working in financial services, specifically in Wealth Management.
Quotes
“On average, women use about 12 beauty products per day. This is almost a 160 different chemicals on a daily basis going onto the largest organ of our body.” – our skin.
“Today we have developed more awareness about what we eat, but still put a lot of chemicals on our face, some of which have been proven to have a negative affect on our health.”
“Natural skincare is an important topic because it’s about consistently in our wellbeing choices. Holistic health is not just about diet and exercise, but what we put onto our body.”
“I feel our society today is a bit obsessed with positivity, which is a lot of pressure and is quite unhealthy. It’s nice to be positive most of the time, but you also need to learn to embrace that sometimes you will not be positive, and that’s OK. Embracing your bad day is how we find ways out of it.”

WATER FOR WATER (WfW) is an international non-profit organisation with the vision of making the use of water resources climate-friendly and fair. Through long-term partnerships and holistic approaches, WfW sustainably improves the water and sanitation supply in Zambia and Mozambique. In Switzerland, Zambia and Mozambique, WfW places a strong focus on education and awareness-raising - always with the aim of establishing professional WASH systems and promoting the conscious use of water. Tumba M. Mupango is Programme Manager for Capacity Development at WfW in Zambia and advises the government in Zambia as a member of the Advisory Board.
Question 1: Tumba, you have been working on water supply and sanitation projects in Zambia for more than ten years. Have you noticed any improvement? Answer: According to a demographic and health survey in Zambia, more than 36 percent of the population lacks access to basic water supply and more than 67 percent lack access to basic sanitation. Zambia has made many efforts to address these challenges. The development goal: to ensure access to fair and safe water and drinking water for all by 2030. Thanks to WfW, four districts of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, have already been connected to the water supply.
Question 2: As part of your work at WfW, you sit on the government's advisory board in Zambia, which deals with water and skills development issues. What are the challenges? Answer: Zambia’s Vision 2030 focuses on skills development and investment in educational qualifications that respond to the demands of the labour market. With this in mind, we established the Water and Sanitation Sector Skills Advisory Board, which aims to match the increased demand for skilled labour in the sector with supply. WfW has supported over 500 students to gain trade and craft qualifications in the water and sanitation sector.
Question 3: What is the difference that local people in Zambia experience through skills and know-how development? Answer: In 2020, there were about 3800 secondary schools, nine public universities and about 54 private universities in Zambia. Every year, over 100,000 students graduate from secondary school and cannot get into universities because higher education and universities in Zambia are expensive compared to vocational training.
Question 4: Your personal story is a difficult one, but also very inspiring. You grew up in a family with six siblings and had to take care of your family from an early age. This hard time fostered your dedication to support women from disadvantaged backgrounds. Answer: I lost my father at the age of 13, my older siblings were just 17 and the youngest 6. We were raised by my mother and many hard-working women in my extended family. Because of this experience, I have always been committed to making life better for the next generation of women.
Question 5: How is safe drinking water related to gender equality? And how do the projects you run help other women? Answer: There are direct and indirect links from our projects to gender equality. One is that the provision of clean water is a time factor, during which women could better engage in other economic activities that improve their livelihoods. On skills development: Most of the students I support are girls and women. The aim is for them to be self-sufficient and to finance their own livelihood.

Kernthemen:
Zitate:

Heute schmücken ihre Texte u.a.

– Katja Ruhnke [37:25]

Financial independence for women has changed considerably in the past century, but we still have a long way to go. This also holds true for the financial sector, where current levels of diversity and inclusion leave much to be desired. Today’s guest, Dr. Mara Harvey, served as Senior Wealth Manager at a prestigious Swiss bank and holds a doctorate in political economy from Fribourg University, as well as a degree in economic policy and economic metrics.
Mara is the author of a series of illustrated children’s books called ‘A Smart Way to Start’, which aims to teach young children and parents about money, ethics, and sustainability. She is passionately driven by two powerful causes: the need for true economic and gender equality for future generations, and for all of us, including children, to become educated on the impact that our financial decisions have on the world, including the Sustainable Development Goals as defined by the United Nations.
In my conversation with Mara, we discuss the creation of ‘A Smart Way to Start’, what she’s learned from working in the financial sector for over twenty years, and why we all need to be reminded of the devastating impact that decades of unequal pay have had and continue to have, on the wealth of women. Join us for an eye-opening conversation on sustainability, equality, and women in finance.
Key Points:
• Introducing the concept of the pocket money pay gap.
• Why we should be concerned about the financial future of the young female generation.
• How Mara’s book series ‘A Smart Way to Start’ educates children and parents about money.
• The main message that Mara wants young readers to take away from her books.
• The exciting news that Mara’s 5th book is now part of the United Nations Library.
• How Mara’s books are linked to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
• Mara’s many years of experience in wealth management and the differences she’s noticed in how men and women invest their money.
• How money messaging in the media affects the way women invest.
• The confidence gap and how this affects women’s financial lives.
• Mara’s concerns over the financial knowledge gap and its effect on future generations.
• Why we need to be aware of the long-term consequences of having had pay gaps.
• How Mara’s experiences as a woman in finance have motivated her to address financial inequities and education.
• Why the financial industry still has a long way to go when it comes to diversity and inclusion.
• How Mara maintained her well-being during her high-pressure career.
• Mara shares her message for all the women in the world: make talking about money, with your partner, with your children, an absolute priority.
Quotes:
“All the biases that we see in the workplace are actually present in society, all around us. And they influence our children too, without us even really being conscious of how deep that bias goes, and how far-reaching it is.” — Mara Harvey [0:02:12]
“Women have a strong tendency to save but not necessarily invest. They are less engaged in long-term financial investment decisions than men are. And very often they abdicate that long term decision making to their partners.” — Mara Harvey [0:07:40]
“Women tend to believe that men are more knowledgeable about finance than they are. And there is research that proves this. And it's just a belief, there are no facts to endorse it.” — Mara Harvey [0:08:59]

Gemstones are the heart & soul of some of the most exquisite jewelry in the world. Beyond that, they carry such an immense clarity, beauty and presence which can make our own essence shine brighter. Doris Hangartner is an accredited gemologist and private jeweler in the centre of Zurich. In this episode, she takes us on a mystical journey through the characteristics and symbolism of her favorite gems, including the Paraiba Tourmaline. For Doris, gemstones embody the grandeur of nature on a micro-scale, they help us to be more present, and resound with the harmony of an orchestra when placed together in the right way.
She shares with us her knowledge about how each gem has its own personality and, in this sense, can be matched to a person in a highly individualized fashion. Matching a gem to a person is one of her favourite elements of her mission. She hosts special evenings where she pairs gems with exquisite joys such as champagne or classical music. You will learn why gems make a great financial investment, why a deeper connection to a gem is something anybody can feel, and a whole lot more!
Key Points:
• An introduction to Doris Hangartner, her education in gemology, and how she founded Doris Hangartner AG.
• The feeling that different gems exude and how they represent aspects of the human experience.
• Doris’ feelings about Paraiba Tourmaline, how it represents nature and connects to the Age of Aquarius.
• How Paraiba Tourmaline represents the four aggregate states of water.
• Different ways that gems connect people to a higher frequency or state of being.
• How gems are like people and have different personality traits and preferences.
• A description of gem-matching and its purpose to match people to gems they connect with.
• How gems that Doris has matched to clients are crafted into a jewelry piece of their choice.
• The evenings that Doris hosts where she matches gems with other exquisite joys such as champagnes or classical music.
• Why connecting to a gemstone is not an exclusive experience and is open to anybody.
• The benefits of being present and how wearing gemstones can help with this.
• Gems as an investment and why people should acquire them instead of other assets.
• How Doris found her passion after her brothers discovered a rock with gems inside it.
• Doris speaks about her mission of spreading knowledge about the essence of gems.
• A message from Doris to all the women in the world: dare to shine!
Quotes:
“They are so vibrant, they are so uplifting, they bring something completely new to the world.” — Doris Hangartner [0:03:53]
“It’s unbelievable what you can see in a stone, which you can also see in nature and in real life. It is as if it is nature on a different scale.” — Doris Hangartner [0:07:52]
“A gem, in my feeling, has the ability to put us in touch with something far greater.” — Doris Hangartner [0:12:39]
“I very strongly believe that everyone can have a connection with stones. My wish is that everyone looks at their gemstones and starts finding a deeper meaning in them.” — Doris Hangartner [0:20:38]

The festive season is nearly here! How are you feeling about it? Self-care is most powerful when it responds to what you are experiencing in the moment. With this in mind, I’ve come up with a couple of things to avoid so you can cultivate a state of peace during the advent season.
1. Curating happiness instead of chasing perfectionism
Having some comfort and luxuries isn’t a bad thing, but be careful not to slip into control-mode and perfectionism. You don’t need all the perfectly dressed family singing around a perfectly decorated tree to make it extra special. Think about how you want to feel, and make space for it.
2. Mindfulness instead of worrying about the state of the world
We are living through extraordinary times. What next year will bring is written in the stars. When you feel yourself future tripping and fearing the worst, practice the art of serenity. Consciously step away from the hullabaloo for a few minutes, hours or maybe even days. Turn your gaze to the good and the beautiful. Give more importance to the here & now, because the only way to positively influence the future is by consciously shaping the present.
3. Conscious enjoyment instead of overindulgence
Even if gingerbread hearts, mulled wine and fondue make life worth living, be aware of the difference between feeling good and eating above your capacity. When we overindulge, we skip past the pleasurable feelings that these things can bring, and crash into lethargy and sometimes even sickness.
4. Selected social media detox instead of excessive media consumption
In our modern lifestyles, many of us are absorbing information all throughout the day without even realising it. When our brain is overloaded with things it needs to rationalise, contemplation gets pushed out. Why not use this festive season to reconnect with the more reflective and creative parts of yourself?
5. Getting out into nature instead of home office cocooning
It’s super tempting to stay in your home office cocoon, but it’s not healthy. Walks in nature are excellent for your body, mind and soul.
If despite all the good intentions, December gets too overwhelming, join me for the 21-day sugar-detox & meditation challenge starting on 2 January 2022: https://heidihauer.com/challenge/

Im Buch ‘Conscious Investing’ bezeichnet Dr. Christin ter Braak-Forstinger, LL.M. diesen Zugang als ‘state of personal awareness and a form of impactful investing’ und erweitert somit den etablierten Begriff des ‘Impact Investing’.

Was gesunde Ernährung tatsächlich bedeutet erfahren wir in diesem Interview.

Mindfulness is a powerful practice that supports your health, wellbeing and intuition in every area of your life. Incorporating mindfulness into your working day facilitates significant shifts whenever things feel ‘off and out of control’.
Tight deadlines, tedious administrative tasks, difficult bosses, demanding clients, etc. can create a whirlwind that makes it feel impossible to stay grounded and connected to your wellbeing and inner peace. For many people, work is just a series of demands they have to tick off, which keeps them from taking mindful breaks until late into the evening, when they are too exhausted to do any kind of self-care practice.
In this episode, I share tips on how to incorporate mindfulness into your work day by putting your attention on 3 core areas. This practice will support you to anchor to the present moment, even when the chaos of life and career pulls you out of balance.
Emotional buildups cannot be fully healed by conventional means alone. Releasing past trauma is a matter of mind, body, and spirit, which is why this connection cannot be ignored. Thankfully it is becoming more mainstream due to people like Sushma Sagar who is on a mission to demystify energy healing and take it out of the ‘weird’, into the weekday. Sushma is the founder of the London-based energy healing clinic The Calmery, and she is also the author of Find Your Flow. She joins us on the show to help us learn more about energy healing and the work that she does in the field of reiki.Sushma gives listeners a brief introduction to the practice of reiki as well as the seven chakras. She speaks about the role of the chakras as energy centres that develop at different stages in our lives. Using an energy healing practice like reiki, we can tune into our chakras to take stock of ourselves and begin to release blocked emotion. She gives us some practical first steps about how to tap into this universal energy to heal ourselves. This is a practice that we can start doing at home without any training because it is a latent skill that all humans possess! In this conversation, we also explore Sushma’s own journey from the corporate world into the field of energy healing and how it was a slow process of moving toward self-acceptance and authenticity. Join us and take a step closer to becoming more conscious of your energy flow and its healing powers!
Key Points:
Quotes:
“Reiki is a practice where you need to become attuned first, and the attunement simply means opening yourself up to be a channel for a universal energy to be able to flow through you.” [0:05:02]
“The thing about channeling energy is you stand back and allow it to happen and that itself is the skill, to just not question.” [0:07:36]
“In our bodies there are seven energy centers and they are portals and central spots where the energy comes together.” [0:015:19]
“You can clean your energy without being reiki attuned. You simply notice if your emotions are heavy and then you do whatever you like to do to release them.” [0:25:34]

In this captivating episode, Neuroscientist and science communicator Dr Sarah McKay takes us through a fascinating look into the female brain and psyche.
Sarah debunks the common assumption that male and female brains are vastly different, and calls for a more nuanced understanding that breaks out of rigid biological differences and into the complexity and diversity of how social conditioning and individual experience shapes our brain’s development and influences the way we think, feel and behave.
We also talk about the process of behaviour change from a neurological perspective, how we can work with this awareness to support our goals and wellbeing, and the role fear and hormones really play in our brain chemistry and experience.
If you’re curious about the neuroscience behind self-development and wellbeing and how you can start to bring this awareness into your own growth journey, this is an episode not to be missed!

In this episode I am reading step 17 and 26 from Part 3 (PREPARE FOR THE SHOW) and Part 4 (PLAY IT FOR REAL):
Part III: Prepare for the Show
Being yourself when you’re alone is nice, but if that’s the only time you’re authentic, it’s neither sustainable nor will it substantially change your life.To build an inner world and an outer world that you actually want to live in, your actions have to match your aspirations. In this part, you’ll start to understand how your current relationships and environments are influencing you. You’ll see who and what is taking up your energy or lowering your confidence, and where your behaviour isn’t exactly mirroring your true self or wants. This is all about standing firmly in your power. Are you ready? Of course you are!
Part IV: Play it for Real
While Part III was mainly about awareness, Part IV will guide you to step up and step out as your true self into the world. This is where you’ll learn about boundaries and protection. There are two reasons why this part is a make-or-break for the entire programme. First, you need to shine your own light again. If you are around people who dim your light, whether they’re conscious of it or not, you’ve prob- ably started to only share the smallest version of yourself with the world in order to stay safe. In this case, shining your light, even though others might not always approve of it, is the learning opportunity here. Second, you need to learn to sustain that light. Building up a life that is fulfilling and nurturing takes time and focus, especially at the beginning of your conscious creation journey. Being clear about your boundaries as you engage and interact constructively with others is not a task for one weekend, it’s a life-long practice. So, in Part IV, you’ll be doing what can often feel scary: being seen and heard as you set clear boundaries. Be brave, be loving and be kind to yourself as you venture out into a new life. These steps won’t be easy, but neither is hiding in the shadows. I would even say, it’s easier to take little coura- geous steps over the next few weeks than to let yourself be boxed or pushed by others into a life that doesn’t feel like yours.
If you do the exercises, please reach out to me and let me know how it goes.

It would be wonderful – revolutionary! – to live in a world where all women naturally and easily felt empowered to be who they truly are, without fear of rejection, embarrassment or failure; where women felt free to express themselves openly and embrace their diverse talents in a joyful, peaceful way.
Heidi Hauer guides women to realise that they have choices available to them to fulfil their own dreams. In her book, Heidi shows us that true happiness is not the result of a picture-perfect life but instead an experience that starts from within – from nurturing our very own Queendom.
We all have moments in life that feel like a crossroads. You may have that sinking feeling that you’re in the wrong life – whether you feel trapped in a bad relationship, friendship or in a dead-end job – and secretly you hope for Mr Right to come along and sort everything out for you. This book will help you find your way back to yourself, and it will give you the confidence you need to make your own happiness, whether Mr Right is there or not.
Through a set of 28 exercises complemented by beautiful illustrations, Heidi guides the reader into building a strong foundation for their own inner peace and happiness. The stories and activities are designed to help readers become crystal clear on their hopes and dreams. Practical, reassuring and truly inspiring, Heidi’s book encourages readers to invest their time and energy back into themselves, and relax into the journey of life.

Stop. Recharge. Reset. Ready? Go!
This time last year no-one of us had imagined the events that unfolded in 2020. Never before was the quote by John C. Maxwell so relevant for all of us than today:
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
In this short but sweet episode, I talk about the need to let go of any action focused reviews of what you achieved in 2020, and instead the concept of bringing a gentler approach to reflecting upon what you experienced and learned.
I give a brief overview of how I approached and integrated my experience over the last 12 months, while offering some reflective pointers that will help you to recognise the joy within the chaos, while realigning and moving forward with self-love and intention.

Do you ever find yourself grappling with a voice inside that says things like: This isn’t good enough; I haven’t done enough; My life / career / body / relationships aren’t good enough? You aren’t alone. This internal narrative seems to be a common one for career-driven people who have big visions for themselves and their work.
In this episode I talk about the ways this voice can impact you, and explore three core often overlooked reasons as to why it might be showing up. From a possible sign of unhappiness, to the neglected voice of your forgotten goals, I’ll take you through some practices that will help you to see what’s really happening for you, while also supporting you to reposition yourself on a path that you truly wish to be on.

As Cindia shares the process of writing her book, we delve into an inspiring conversation about creativity, finding inspiration, working though the functional and celebratory stages of writing and things authors can think about when it comes to the big question of how to approach publishing.

When we talk about getting the most out of our day, we often approach it through the eyes of productivity; trying to squeeze as much work or activity as possible into every moment. This very tempting but misleading approach often keeps us chasing our tails while feeling exhausted.
In this episode, I take you through a very different way to design your day. From breakfast to bedtime, I guide you through the choices you can make, particularly around food that will support you to sustain your energy and stay focused on your goals while feeling at your best.
If you often feel like your time and energy keep running out, that your days are out of your control or that you never seem fully present in your body or your life, this episode is for you.
In this immensely engaging conversation, I’m talking with Kasia Urbaniak, the founder and CEO of The Academy - A School of Power for Women, and author of the book Unbound: A Woman’s Guide To Power. Kasia brings a truly unique approach to her work, which is teaching women the foundations of power and influence and is supporting them to step into leadership positions in their relationships, families, workplaces and wider communities.
Over the course of nearly 20 years, she has worked as professional Dominatrix, practiced Taoist alchemy in one of the oldest female-led monasteries in China and obtained dozens of certifications in different disciplines, including Medical Qi Gong and Systemic Constellations.
In this episode Kasia reveals some of the invisible but significant ways that ‘good girl’ conditioning shows up in our life, and how this can lead to so much of a woman’s energy going into physical, emotional and energetic labor in a very unconscious way. The result? Often exhaustion, frustration, feeling unseen and unacknowledged and not having rightful time to tend to passion projects and personal goals.
We discuss the meaning of power, and Kasia offers very interesting insights into how woman can use their voice to respond to power imbalance and recover their sovereignty and decision making capacities. Along with many other fascinating and exciting explorations, we also talk about the pitfalls of aspiring to be selfless, and how being selfish in a way that feels good actually better equips us to see the positive impacts we desire.
Traditional ways of losing weight are often stressful, highly emotional and rarely much fun. The dieting industry is full of assumptions, questionable ‘quick fix’ promises and often perpetuates demoralising stereotypes about what a happy, healthy and beautiful body should (and shouldn’t) look like.
In this solo episode I guide you through 4 key ways you can make weight loss more joyful. We’ll look at your motivations for losing weight in the first place, debunk the idea of ‘secret shortcuts’ and explore ways you can stay in your own wellness lane while continuing to actually enjoy your life as you work towards your goals.
Fiona Arrigo is internationally acclaimed as a profoundly intuitive healer, mentor and life teacher. She is the founder of The Arrigo Programme and ‘A Place to Heal’ in London, UK. Fiona is a psychotherapist and Biodynamic psychologist who also draws on a lifetime of study into ancient philosophies and teachings.
In the episode Fiona shares her take on the global initiation we are currently facing to live a kinder, softer and more inclusive existence for ourselves, our communities and the environment. We talk about our pressure-based cultures, and what we can do to support ourselves and each other when anxiety rises. We talk about giving ourselves the permission to rest and the characteristics of what it could look like to be a ‘evolving woman’.
Everyone responds differently to uncertainty and change. However, something that is greatly beneficial to all of us is learning how to consistently tap into an inner peace and calm that will support us to feel anchored and grounded within ourselves, even if everything around us seems to be in flux.
In this solo episode I talk about the emotional impact of feeling like we have no control of our life and environment. I share simple but powerful practices you can do for yourself within the home that will support you to feel more in control, less overwhelmed and ultimately more balanced in times of high stress.
Seyi Akiwowo is the Founder and Executive Director of Glitch, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ending online abuse and championing digital citizenship. In this episode, we talk about the realities of online abuse in our modern world. Vanessa is co-founder and director of The Activate Collective, which champions new voices in UK politics through funding and training underrepresented female activists.
We discuss the vision behind the movement, the incredible leadership potential that is born through lived experience, and the importance of waking up to how gender has, and continues to affect the potential of our career; something that is impacted by culture and in policy making.
Prepare for an engaging conversation that will provoke you into considering what it means to be fuelled by your values, to centre diversity and to champion the innate knowledge and skills that exist outside of university, boardrooms or current parliament.
In part one of my interview with Vanessa Pine, we talk about the elusive topic of happiness, particularly as it relates to building a successful career and business. Vanessa is co-founder of Atlas Partners, an award winning public affairs consultancy in London. Vanessa explains why effective leadership isn’t just about management, but supporting, appreciating and challenging your team. We talk about how this applies to working with millennials, alongside the connection between purpose, motivation, productivity and happiness.
