Todays special guest is Kyle Reber he is a truly extraordinary human being making a world of difference in his community through martial arts. This is a topic a little different from others we have explored in previous podcasts but it is one that I am truly passionate about. The earthed podcast is a place to explore a range of topics all relevant to the improvement of ourselves and our environment, and As kyle mentions towards the end of todays episode Joe Rogen explains martial arts as a vehicle to self improvement I truly believe that have experienced the benefits of this myself and witnessing the benefits with in my son and my partner. Throughout todays episode we also touch on some pretty important ways martial arts can be leveraged to fight against domestic violence and sexual abuse as well as the benefits of martial arts for children and what it can do for their self esteem and self regulation. Kyle has been studying martial arts for 30 years and has even travelled to places like the Dominican republic to conduct empowerment exercises with disadvantaged communities. Kyle like many others has had to close his gym recently due to covid 19 so we also got the chance to explore how that was effecting him personally and ways that he was coping with the sudden changes. Tdays episode has something for everyone so even if you have no interest in martial arts im sure you will take something away from this incredible conversation. If you would like to get in touch you can contact Kyl on kyl@chikaramartialarts.com.au or check out http://www.chikaramartialarts.com.au/ (www.chikaramartialarts.com.au)
