There are 100’s of community gardens across our kiwi landscape, serving community needs and giving to community projects just like the one in Hamilton (Waimarie Community Gardens). These community gardens are not made for large scale hand outs on a daily basis but do give to some community projects as stated on Waimarie Community Gardens Web Site.

On the other hand we have 100’s of urban communities that are struggling to make it across the poverty line in New Zealand. As food prices go up, these struggling families generally take the cheaper options on a noodle based diet rather than a nutritional based diet. The Kai Shop in Hamilton (@TheKaiShopHamilton) have already talked about these issues and are spearheading a solution and also Manaki Tangata with Ronika are also part of the solution with feeding the homeless.

We need to take these community gardens to the next level and make them Agrihood. What is Agrihood? Agrihood gardens are truly urban and are planted on sidewalks, roundabouts, median strips, etc in neighbourhoods that could really use them on a daily basis but you could take it a step further and make a web of Agrihood gardens with neighbourhoods that don't need the food to support neighbourhoods that do.

Agrihood gardens could go a long way in helping to tackle food security and create interconnecting community partnerships. There are many other partnerships that these gardens could be used as a springboard to improving those communities in need. These partnerships could include support mentoring from Universities for best practices, local council for land usage, community groups like Hamilton Organic Gardens to help maintain these gardens and a community trust that brings people together to help distribute the food evenly to those in need and to charity groups to help support poverty.

These Agrihoods gardens would compliment and support local sustainable food ecosystems to build better communities and build towards sustainable kiwi culture.

World Homeless Day

What is World Homeless Day and what does this day mean to the homeless? The purpose of World Homeless Day is to draw attention to homeless people’s needs locally and provide opportunities for the community to get involved in responding to homelessness, while taking advantage of the stage as an ‘international day’. There are 4 ways you can join in and have an immediate impact in helping the homeless community today.

1. Volunteer - The World Homeless Day focuses on thinking globally and acting locally. Try your community’s volunteer matching programs or join us https://www.facebook.com/sustainablehomelessness to support our initiatives that make a real difference to the homeless community.

2. Donate - We have a givealittle page https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/sustainable-homelessness where 100% of our donations goes back to helping this community. Leverage your donation by getting others from your work, school, family and faith community to contribute as well.

3. Learn and Share - Learn more about homelessness and its solutions by reading current research and by following us at https://www.facebook.com/sustainablehomelessness. The more people that start the conversation the more people will come to understand how these people want to change their lives for the better.

4. Advocate - Contact your politicians at the municipal, provincial/territorial or federal level. Ask them to support solutions to homelessness including a national housing strategy.

Taking the time today to be part of the solution to helping the homeless people get back into a normal society, we start to build better humans which leads to better communities demonstrating what virtuous principled people we can be and be remembered as the generation that ended homelessness.

We have spent 1.7 Billion Dollars in Foreign Aid in the past 4 years. If we can spend that much on other countries then why can't we spend that much on our own kiwi backyard fixing our own poverty like homelessness. We need a rethink on how we spend money in this country to helping our kiwi brothers and sisters out of poverty.

There is a serious bee crisis happening around the world and it’s a threat to worldwide food biosecurity. At least 50% of all bee’s die of annually due to nutrition, loss of foraging land, parasites (Varroa Mite), pathogens (viruses) and pesticides. What does this lead to if we lose our bee’s, at least 30% of all food would disappear. decline in biodiversity and food costs would escalate causing social unrest.

The solution to the bee problem will be a bioshield one. We need to look at nature for the solution, so what does nature like? Nature likes a complex fractalization at different orders of magnitude, the more complex the fractional phrases the more niches there are to support different microbes and other organisms that give armamentarium of defences (biosheild) to respond to catastrophe. So what is the solution and what does it look like.

The solution has come from a wonderful man, Paul Stamets who has patented the idea and scientist have proven his works. Mushroom mycelium extracts are the answer. As test have confirmed when applying the antiviral effects of feeding mushroom mycelium extracts of Chaga and Reishi to bee’s against the Black Queen Cell Virus we get a 500:1 for both, when applying the antiviral effects of feeding mushroom mycelium extracts of Amadou and Reishi to bee’s against the Deformed Wing Virus we get 879:1 from the Amadou and 80:1 from the Reishi and when applying the antiviral effects of feeding mushroom mycelium extracts of Reishi to bee’s against the Lake Sinai Virus its 45000:1.

To help more we must consider bringing back bee and mushroom habitat, stop the use of pesticides and create food sources for bees to consume like sugar water and plant life. Let's all do our bit to help and Thank You Paul for helping to find the solution.

Ibogaine is a naturally occurring psychoactive substance that has been demonstrated to interrupt substance use disorders as well as possess other neurological and psychological benefits. It is found naturally in a number of plant sources and is a member of the Apocynaceae family other wise known as iboga (Tabernanthe iboga) which has been used for centuries by traditional communities in West Africa for ritual and healing purposes.

In the early 1990’s the US National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) began the development of Ibogaine by fully funding pre clinical animal trials as well as phase 1 safety trials on human subjects under the auspices of Dr Deborah Mash at the University of Miami. The results confirmed that Ibogaine decreases the self administration of stimulants, opiates and alcohol.

People using Ibogaine in rehab today say it has had an immediate impact and if wrap around services are strong people who have taken Ibogaine have successfully beaten there addiction problems to start a new life. Sustainable Rehabilitation is about the Taniwha (Guardian) that lives within and the Taniwha (Guardian) we commune with and how that fundamental idea might perpetuate rehabilitation for us as individuals and for a Maori Nation to lead the world in all things sustainable to creating a better world for future generations. This will be an open discussion forum for the public to look at problems in society whether it is an individual or an organisation or both just like our prison system. We will wait for your ideas that we can discuss to look at;

The Public Identifies The Issues The Forum Understands Everyone's Interest List The Possible Solutions Evaluate The Options We All Agree To A Consensus We Create A Document To Agreements We Monitor And Evaluate Agree On Further Contingencies If Required On Consensus

So when we do start a Sustainable Rehabilitation project we do a clickup project management plan, that way we can all participate in our goal in fixing the problem we think there is.

Our Maori history and traditions leads us to great indigenous people of Aotearoa New Zealand. Our Ancestors built great industry and trade relations with other countries under the umbrella of the Maori Flag, symbolised by Hokioi the largest eagle to have existed. Have a look at Mahinarangi Forbes video and watch what we once were apart off. Mahinarangi Forbes youtube presentation, press the link https://youtu.be/Zj2fOpEIxKQ

It takes people with courage, vision and passion to create and build that industry we once were under. As we create and build that industry we can solve many of our poverty issues. We once had many industries like Maori Housing but as governments have come in they have changed the name several times and have sold a lot of those housing assets off. We need to create housing like we had Moari housing traditionally. If we start to build these industry's again as a collective, it will alleviate the housing crisis, create employment and a string of direct and indirect economic growth powering the kiwi economy especially as we take on more industry's and be the driving force of development.

We would also look at building relationships with other like minded indigenous people to help them build their industries so we can trade and build markets with. Building trust and transparency in the exchange markets will need new technology like Traxprint, Escrow and other emerging key blockchain technology if we want to build that indigenous product to consume / farmer produce to consumer / business product and or service to consumer / homemade product to consumer and all types of trades and services to consumer so anti fraud measures are in place so there are no improper transactions in the system and it has the confidence of the consumer who will benefit the most with low cost and honest exchanges with the right expectations.

Were nowhere near anywhere but starting the conversation goes along way to the development of the idea of who we once were and who we could be in the future, Hokioi Futures.

Modernising Our Maori Traditions

Today we will discuss the traditional Poi and how we could modernise it into the next big health craze just like Rumba and Tai Boxing has made that leap.

What is Poi? Traditionally it was used in several ways but we generally know it to be a medium to help tell a story, like in Maori Actions Songs and in some stories as a Maori Weapon. You need a certain style and finesse in the ancient art as it is still portrayed today in Kapa Haka. To perfect the different types of Poi you need to be physically fit, of sound mind and spirit and work in cohesion with your fellow members to work as one to convey your story in Poi. This takes a lot of dedication and hard work to achieve.

So how does the Poi come from humbled beginnings to inspire Maori Youth to infuse the past and modernise it with modern music, stylish moves with charisma and make it your own to be a force in the fitness industry like Ramba and Tai Boxing. These youth have the desire, all they need is the business smarts of mature Maori Leaders to take the movement into the modern era and commercialise it like Rumba and Tai Boxing as a healthy active lifestyle.

The positive spin off this would create would be exponential with Maori youth both here and abroad and also with other cultures from around the world. This would create jobs, boost tourism with people wanting to get into the craze, imagine the merchandising sales and the list goes on.

There are many opportunities within the digital youth market especially when it comes to sustainability, youth business, consultation and consensus, crypto-currency, partnerships, support mentoring, educational services, health services, applying unused resources, understanding the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) connecting us all, communication and also working on the spirit of the Treaty Of Waitangi in our work creating an ever more awareness of our responsibilities in the development of youth to succeed in an ever changing world. This will then lead to a dynamic, sophisticated ecosystem that is ever innovative in delivering sustainable products and services to youth in our digital space to utilise and build upon sustainable best practices in everyday life to be an ever responsible, ethical and moral youth working towards a greater sustainable future.

We want to challenge youth to make informed decisions when thinking about purchasing products and services and how those products and services affect the environment from product manufacturing, sourcing their ingredients, logistics of that product to how it is sold. That way we come up with a listing of supporting products that are zero emissions or working towards zero emissions to a positive emissions by going above and beyond by planting forests and having recycling systems to further add to an ever more sustainable future. If we give youth direction and vision in purchasing power they then can have a huge impact on sustainability and force companies to rethink how they operate in a sustainable way and creating a greater sustainable future.

At the heart of this Sustainable Youth digital platform we want to create and educate sustainable businesses for youth using sustainable practices. If we can give youth a head start in life enabling them to create passive incomes streams with sustainable practices through our digital education system, driven by hard work and ethics we can then have a generation of youth making a positive impact on the environment while living sustainably in everyday life.

We can head and deliver many opportunities to youth via our Sustainable Youth digital platform, as youth start to educate and develop the skills of our sustainable network they will start to create content and take part and implement our sustainable model in everyday life. In so doing youth will start to create sustainable micro economic boosts all over the country which would then lead to wider economic growth as their micro sustainable businesses start to perform and mature. We have many sustainable angles that we are implementing on our platform for youth especially those in low socio-economic areas that can have a direct and indirect way of impacting the sustainable economics globally. This then sets a vision for youth, a pathway to freedom for youth and we also help youth on a platform they well understand and more importantly create moral, ethical and sustainable youth who then add value to better communities and kiwi culture.

Sustainable Community Food is about collaboration of food sources of farming/community/home to consumer. In a world of an ever growing population having an ever more impact on our environment which includes climate change and an ever demand for resources we will need to look at new ideas in the digital space to solve these problems.

Building Digital Infrastructure like farm/community/home food ecosystems, logistic ecosytems from producer to consumer and educating consumers about cost of product A Beans v's cost of product B Meat to show beans to produce are far less impact on the environment and cost to make for example than meat.

Efficiencies and Productivity brings in a culture of traditional and new ideas to improve our sustainability in cost reductions, decision making through AI, to grow food and provide food and reduce food waste to an ever growing population.

The Challengers Of Digitalisation so the ecosystem can operate with efficiency will cost and need investment, will need data sharing capabilities, security, an ability to educate and adapt in a new ecosystem and in some cases a lack of resources like phone, internet and data can halt progress.

Precision Data Analysis will more than likely include a blockchain technology to give all a true indication of resources, resources allocation, logistics and future demand meet with today implementation to meet that demand. The idea is to create an ecosystem where no one goes hungry and provides for a social need to be more responsible to the environment so our future generations can live in more harmony with our environment.
