Kay Ashton, is a fun loving 30 year old living in Salford. She is single, working full time and wants to be a mum. Oh, she lives with a disability also which is genetic. Kay, is embarking on her mission to be a mum by using PGD to ensure her child does not inherit her disability. We follow her through the laugher, the tears, dating and general emotional rollercoaster this will bring.

In Central Point we propose to 1. create a tool/UI to support patients and get feedback from them. 2. through semi-automatic techniques collate information from datasets & publications to feed KG 3. provide enhanced views and eventually new knowledge to all users.

I am so pleased that my best friend got married to the love of her life. Marriage in a pandemic world can be pretty spectacular thats for sure and let's be honest you only ever need each other at that moment in time as you can always celebrate in style later.

Kay is going through IVF with a pinch of science called PGD, (implantation Genetic Diagnosis). She is 30 years of age, disabled and single. The appointments have started now for Kay and this week she is seen remotely with the clinic in Leeds. Despite it being remote, Kay still had to go to hospital...... What did she do this time. We hear about other things Kay has been up to recently too. There is a celebration to be had....

This week we learn about the little pinch of science that Kay is having with IVF, it's called PGD!, (Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis).... Kay gets a little tongue side saying it, so will call it pre genetic diagnosis. We also learn a little bit about her friend Sam.
