Devaj Gupta
Devaj Gupta is the founder of Anti Plastic Union of Students (A-PLUS). A-PLUS (Anti Plastic Union of Students) is an initiative seeking to make schools across NCR, India plastic free. PlastiCity, the latest addition to his efforts, is a podcast series dedicated to educate people about the different aspects of plastic. PlastiCity covers topics from the rise and fall of plastics popularity, to the deeper, more technical aspects discussing the seven types of plastics, to the use of bioplastic, to addressing plastic reduction at an individual level the rise of eco-tourism and much more.
Today we are glad to have with us Julie Luo, a from the renowned social sciences university in France, Sciences Po Paris. Julie is extremely passionate about the environment and is leading the environmental organization Sciences Po Environment at her campus in le Havre.
From following a strict vegan diet to taking part in incessant recycling, Julie does everything possible to minimize her carbon footprint. It is very inspiring to see how Julie handles her work with SPE along with heading the cheerleading team, being part of a number of societies, and maintaining a high academic record as she now goes on to pursue environment and society at UC Berkley!
Today we are glad to have with us Mr Paul Ayomide from Nigeria, an Ocean enthusiast and a strong advocate for sustainable development. His drive to make change and promote a sustainable planet has led to initiating and founding Aquaworld, an organization devoted to adding value to the aquatic world in all ramifications.
He is currently serving as a Team Lead and a Regional Supervisor at the Future Savers Sustainable Development Initiative, the Director of Operations of the U-Recycle Initiative and a Global Youth ambassador of the EarthDay Network. He is also a part of the World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council for World Oceans Day 2021 and is a member of the Commonwealth Youth Climate Network!
In this episode, we talk about SWM in India with Mr Chirag Mahajan from Waste Warriors, a non-profit organisation and a registered society committed to cleaning up India. Mr Mahajan, Sr. Manager of Communications for Waste Warriors gives his interesting and valuable opinion on the matter using his experience in the field.
