On this weeks episode we mark Cerebral palsy day by discussing some facts on this condition and sharing my personal journey as someone who has CP. CP is one of the most common physical disabilities but doesn’t get coverage. In fact there are still many societies around the world were people with CP are kept uneducated and hidden away from the rest of the community. I hope my story resonates with you and helps encourage people to include others. Together we can rid disability of stigma and make this world a better, more equal place. Thank you for watching. Another episode coming next week on the topic of transportation/accessibility plus more football content. Hope you enjoy, stay tuned.

Petition asking the UK Parliament to provide funding to make venues accessible to visitors and performers. SIGN HERE - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/630579This week guest I am joined by hip hop artist, music producer, DJ and Journalist Sanjeev Mann! This is one of the podcasts we have ever done. Wether you have a disability or not I guarantee there is something in here you can relate too. Of course there are a lot of barriers which come with a disability. The lack of accessibility or representation in every area that is so often discussed purely on the surface level and not necessarily addressing the deeper impact this has on our lives. Sanjeev articulates perfectly the challenges faced and in this discussion we talk about all of these area’s. Self image, perceptions, inspiration porn (yes it’s a real thing) and so much more. On his journey Sanjeev speaks on the importance of confidence, believing in yourself and living in the moment. Everything he works for is to a role model for others to know they can do it too. There is much that connected with me throughout this and I know it can with you too. Please watch it, share it, get as many people on this as we can. You definitely won’t regret giving this a listen. All About Ability is back and here to stay. Every Tuesday 5PM with new guests. This week guest I’m joined by one of Scotland’s best young wrestlers Ashley Vega!

Ashley started wrestling at the very young age of 15 and now 21 has already been on a incredible journey. She opened up on what it was like for young woman in the wrestling industry, the change in culture since speaking out movement, dealing with bullies and what she had to overcome in order to keep chasing her wrestling dreams.

For me Ashley defines what this podcast is about, coming through struggles wanting to give the help to next generation that she didn’t have. For someone so young to show that level of mental strength left me inspired and motivated but most importantly can help anyone who listens dealing with a tough time right now know they can come through it too. So much respect, if there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that Ashley Vega is indeed undeniable.

I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

On stage performing from such a young age we  discuss what that was like for him, the different experiences and  eventual transition to pursue his dream of becoming a wrestler.  Learning of ICW and deciding to move to Scotland at 18 he’s had a long  crazy journey that’s just about to get that bit more insane. Already  with a successful year winning 2022 Square Go which guarantees him a  shot at the World Heavyweight Championship any point he chooses in the  next year, Leyton faces his toughest challenge yet in upcoming King of  Insanity match against BT Gunn.  Leyton spoke on his personal journey and passion for wrestling dedicating his life to becoming the best wrestler he can be. I was blown away by  his amazing work ethic, if you are needing some motivation in your life  right now listen to this man’s story.    Leyton and BT have had some great battles for months and it all comes  down to this, one last fight to see who the best is. If you have never  been to a wrestling event before go get a ticket for this and you will  not be disappointed! It’s fair to say I’m hyped! This week guest I’m joined by Reilly’s Gaff host Evan Riley in his first guest podcast appearance!

Starting from TikTok Evan grew a following for his hilarious sense of humour, we go through why he started them, his thought process behind it, how he comes up with such relatable scenarios using Scottish patter. We watch a couple of his TikTok’s and I actually can’t stop myself from laughing, much like all the way through this podcast.

All things Reilly’s Gaff from his favourite moments, how he came up with the name, what he’s learned doing a podcast and of course some really funny gaff stories.

All of what I’ve said so far is probably what you and I expected, he did not disappoint but I think where Evan got me the most was his overall view on life. Being completely himself and comfortable with that, encouraging people to do the same. His genuine attitude shines through, it was was such a pleaser to get to know him, there is a lot to like.

This week guest I’m joined by the hilarious Paul Dock!

It was really interesting getting an insight to his creative way of thinking from how he comes up with sketches, the process of putting them together, his passion for art illustration and where that comes from.

Paul talks about when he felt things were starting to blow up in a good way for him on social media, wanting to support others building platforms for their art, his future goals and much more.

I appreciated the open discussion with him on the stigma of disability and hope it can raise some positive awareness.

This episode was recorded quite a while ago, it’s taken some time to put it out but Paul is someone I’m very much a fan of and loved having him in the studio for a great chat, enjoy.

This weeks guest I am joined by professional Wrestler David McCallum known as Ravie Davie!

With his comedy show “Bams to the slaughter” coming up this Friday Davie talks about aiming to make it different to any other show and from what I heard it’s definitely worth getting a ticket.

From his journey into wrestling, coming through the most difficult times to chase after his dreams David story is one of the most inspiring I have ever had the pleasure of listening to! The ability to be incredibly heartfelt while also being hilarious throughout is a rare talent David definitely has.

He defines exactly what this podcast is for. No matter how bad things get or how difficult your situation is you can come through it, do everything people said you couldn’t and inspire the next generation. Thank you Ravie Davie. Enjoy!

Long time friend Darren talks about his return to stand up comedy, what reignited his passion for it, the ups and downs of lockdown, where the idea for Bobby’s character came from and much more.

It’s fair to say things got emotional in the room and we all shared a moment I will never forget. I hope that anyone who watches and feels they are struggling knows they can reach out and help is here.

Paul created Gamtalk to educate young people on the dangers of gambling less than a year ago and already has 30+ secondary schools signed up, 1 professional football club 2 colleges and 1 university all over the UK!

Gamtalk is a prevention Company that aims to help young people understand the problem before they are old enough to experience it.

Paul’s want to help others really came through and struck me in this conversation as we go where addiction can begin, what needs to change, why this is his passion, aims for the company and many more subjects that need to be brought to light when it comes to problem Gambling.

I could relate to what he spoke on here and I’m sure many others will. It always feels good to speak to someone who is really working to make a big difference, genuinely can’t praise the work he is doing enough.

With Ménière’s disease being a progressive condition it’s possible Gillian could eventually loss all her hearing and is learning BSL (British Sign Language).

Gillian's passion is to make a real difference and to help people in so many areas. This really came through in this conversation and left me optimistic! I really hope she gets your vote in the upon coming elections.

In episode 1 of All About Ability I shared a journey filled with mental health struggles and how I dealt with them in the hope to help someone else.

I got so many incredible messages saying how much it helped and we’ve went on to have amazing guests and conversations since.

With mental health it has always felt like a battle in my head and while dealing with my issues, getting support through anti depressants therapy and everything in between - I was trying everything and still felt like I was loosing that battle. All the support why am I still getting beat? Why do I still feel there’s no way back? The answer was because despite everything I still didn’t believe in myself.

You can have everything everyone says you need but you need to decide, you need to find that something inside you that believes in the process and believes you can win, you can go on.

One very special person made me realise I could believe, I could overcome and I could win - even when she wasn’t here anymore.

As we experience another lockdown and people are struggling now more than ever I feel the need to share what saved me when at my worst and what I hope you can too - We have to show what we’ve came through and how to help others come forward, help end the stigma.

20th and final episode of 2020.

In Memory of Mary Hannah McGarvey.
