On Sunday Pastor Bob continued his Undaunted Faith series from Hebrews 11. This week Bob taught about "acceptable faith", through the lens of Cain, Abel, and Enoch. Why was Abel's offering accepted by God while Cain's was rejected? Why was Enoch raptured to heaven? What can we learn from the faith of Cain, Abel, and Enoch?
On Sunday Pastor Bob started his eight-part series from Hebrews 11 called Undaunted Faith. As we journey through the chapter, we'll encounter a gallery of faith-filled individuals who faced trials, uncertainties, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, yet persevered because of their unwavering faith in God. This week Bob laid the foundation for the study by exploring "What is faith?"
On Sunday Pastor Shem spoke on Mark 14. He focused on Gethsemane, the garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives, where Jesus and his apostles spent time before Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion. Shem unpacked how the victory for our salvation was won in Gethsemane. The submission of Jesus to His Father’s will resulted from prayer. Prayer gave Jesus the courage to face the cross and ultimately the deep distress of being separated from His Father for the first time in eternity - to bring us full restoration for our sins.
On Sunday Pastor Bob delivered a powerful message called "Last Days According to Jesus II" from Mark 13. He shared concrete ways we can be ready for the last days and the importance of intentionally living out our faith by sharing both the good news of God's love, His coming judgment, and His gift of grace.
Pastor Bob shared the first week of his deep dive into Mark 13 in his message called "Last Days According to Jesus". Jesus tells us that although we don't know the day or the hour, we must watch and be ready for the last days.
This Week Pastor Bob spoke from Mark 14:1-11 in a message entitled "Don't Waste Your Life" which centered on the woman who anointed Jesus with expensive perfume. Pastor Bob took us through the reactions to this extravagant act in Jesus' time and today.
On Sunday Pastor Austin Medley and Anna Walker-Roberts shared the podium as we continued exploring the greatest commandment in a message entitled "Loving God, Loving People." Pastor Austin spoke about how to cultivate our love for God in order to give ourselves completely to Him. Anna spoke on the importance of loving people, specifically our neighbors, as a reflection of our love for God.
This Sunday we were treated to another amazing message from Doug Axe. He discussed the improbability of the theory of evolution by illustrating how the evolution model falls short both scientifically and spiritually. Doug’s presentation came to life with thought-provoking real-life examples.
In this week's message, Pastor Bob focused on Mark 12:28-44 where Jesus is asked, which is the greatest commandment. Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 6:4 and Leviticus 19:18 saying “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
This week's message focused on Mark 12:18-27 where Jesus answered the religious leaders' questions about the resurrection and how our acceptance of Jesus’ gift on the cross makes us eternal citizens of His kingdom.
Pastor Bob’s message this week came from Mark 12:1-17 and was titled, “Jesus and Politics”. He explained that Jesus didn’t actually talk much about the politics of his day, His focus was on the importance of the Kingdom of God. Tune in to hear how Jesus turned the world upside down when it came to power, Jesus’ revolution was moral and spiritual, not political.
Happy Easter from us here at Calvary Chapel! This week Pastor Bob took us through the story of Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus and their role in Jesus' burial.
Yesterday marked the start of Holy Week, the week of Jesus' triumphal entry, last supper, betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection. It's the weekend that changed history. Pastor Austin led us in a powerful Sunday with his message I Want To See in Mark 10:46-52 where Jesus healed Blind Bartimaeus. Jesus knew exactly what this blind man needed, but asked him, "what do you want me to do for you?" We believe something significant happens when we confess where we are and ask God to do for us what only He can do.
On Sunday, Pastor Bob continued in Mark 10 with his message "For Better or Worse" addressing the topic of Divorce.
This week, Pastor Bob taught on The Rich Young Ruler and encouraged us to check who (or what) our hearts are serving.
Pastor Bob taught us verse-by-verse through the latter half of Mark 9. If we can be great in the kingdom of God, than the kingdom of God can be great. Here's how we'd sum up Sunday's message: Strive to be great in the kingdom of God. Strive to know your calling and your giftings. Applaud when you see God doing something around the world. Understand that without God you can do nothing. We are all going to fall short at times, so learn from your failures. Jesus became one of us so that we might be great.
Pastor Bob continued in Mark 9 by teaching the passage where Jesus brings His disciples up to the mountain and, for the first time, unveiled his glory. The transfiguration occurred for three reasons: the disciples needed it. Jesus Himself needed it. And we need it. Not all of life is to be lived on the mountaintop, but sometimes God likes to have His finger on our bicycle seat, guiding us as we learn to pedal ahead in life.
Pastor Austin Medley kicked us off as we headed back into the Gospel of Mark for our Jesus the Servant series. We studied the passage in Mark 9 where Jesus' disciples argued amongst themselves, "Who is the greatest?" Pastor Austin laid out the following insights and ultimately, reminded us that Jesus is the greatest among us all. May we reflect on Jesus' words when He said "if anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all."
- Jesus wants to speak into the conversation of greatness.
- Jesus redefines what it means to be great.
- Greatness is caring for those among us.
David Brickner from Jews for Jesus joined us this past Sunday to update us on all the Messianic evangelism going on in Israel. His message gave us a fresh hope in light of the times we're in. Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord!
Pastor Bob walked us through a believer's relationship with money. And here's the thing, yes we're in a building campaign and we are encouraging all those who call ccdelco home to invest into this next season and building expansion, but we also want to inspire you to become generous with your money beyond this expansion. Because of the gospel, we as Christians get to have an open-handed, redeemed relationship with money... Ownership, Stewardship, Worship, Joy, and Sacrifice.
This week, Pastor Bob gave us a lesson on leadership from the book of Nehemiah. It's one thing to cast a great vision, but another to actually turn that vision into reality. Written 3,500 years ago, Nehemiah gave great wisdom and insight that has stood the test of time, and we encourage you to listen to this message and seek God on how to apply it to your season.
We have officially kicked off our Open Doors Sermon Series, intended to give you our church's vision for the next several years. Not only are we expanding our physical reach through a building campaign (we need more space!), but we are walking through ministry doors we believe God has opened for us. The goal of almost all human beings on the planet is to be happy. Why, even the Psalmist says, "Happy are the people who's God is Jehovah!" There's an abundant life out there for us, like Jesus calls us to in John 10:10, and perhaps 2024 is the year we take a hold of it! Pastor Bob kicked off 2024 with his message on how to strengthen the four core areas of human flourishing: God, money, career, and relationships.
Pastor Austin taught on Luke 5:1-11 when Jesus called his first disciples and broke their expectations of who the Messiah could be. God can break your expectations. And it’s only after God began to break Peter’s expectations did Peter see Jesus for who he really was.
This week, Pastor Bob weighed the qualifications for discipleship in Mark 8 as he unpacked what Jesus meant when he said, "Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."
We studied the story in Mark 7:24-37 of "A Gentile Shows Her Faith." Nothing moves God more than demonstrated acts of faith! And we see a woman demonstrate great faith who understood grace—that if God is a God of love, and if Jesus was sent to save lost people, then by the work of God’s unlimited love through Jesus' sacrifice, there was room at the table for her. We've all been carried to the table, brought by grace, humility, and faith.
Pastor John taught us in Mark 6 titled "Through The Storm." Why do we have storms? What's the purpose of storms? And what can we learn from them?
Pastor Bob led us to Mark 5 this past Sunday, exploring Jesus and demons. He explores the idea that evil is very real in our world, but Jesus has not given us a manual to fight against demons, he's given us Himself. His very nearness. God with us! We can stand in faith of a delivering God.
Pastor Bob continued in Mark 4 with the story of Jesus calming the storm. Or should it be called, "Jesus Taking the Disciples to the Other Side"? Take a listen to Pastor Bob's take on the storm they encountered on their way across the Sea of Galilee and the irrational fear the disciples—these fishermen—had. If we let fear rule our lives, safety and security will be the idols and gods of our life. We will worship the risk free life, where we never go to the other side. Where we don’t risk and grow.
We had the pleasure to welcome Abdu Murray to speak at both campuses! Abdu unpacked the conflict in the Middle East by walking us through Genesis 16 and ending at the cross. We can trust God with the future because we see His faithfulness in the past.
This week, Pastor Bob taught from Mark 2:23-3:6 on the Sabbath. His message titled "What Angers God?" tackled what we see in the teaching text: religion. Jesus (God in the flesh) is furious at the religious leaders for placing heavy burdens on people. Religion places heavy burdens that God never intended to do. Jesus came to lighten man’s burdens and the Sabbath is a gift that beckons us to cease from working and while resting, trust in the Lord.
Pastor Bob continued in Mark 2:1-12with the story of Jesus' healing the paralytic—of sins AND of his physical condition. Jesus lifted the weight of sins from people. That’s what he came to do. We get to be healed, whole, and forgiven people all because of our reconciled relationship back to God the Father. There is a God we don't have to be afraid of. Who we can bring our friends to. And who came to bring us into His home.
Pastor Bob continued in Mark 1:14-28 with his message, "How Sinners Get Cleansed", focusing in on Jesus' miracle of healing the leper. What areas of your life are you refusing to touch but are actually in need of God’s love and forgiveness?
Pastor Bob kicked off a new series in Mark called "Jesus the Servant." There are many themes in the Gospel of Mark, but not many might see the theme of servanthood, written to the Romans who had millions of indentured slaves. The picture of a "huperete" or under-rower is exactly who Jesus is to us: a slave in the bottom of the warship getting us from Point A to Point B. God came down the ladder, born in poverty, born in Bethlehem, born into obscurity. Born the lowest of the low. Your leader and Lord is a footwashing God. We were blessed to have Pastor Bob speak on his "10 Things I Know About Bible Prophecy" message that he presented at the conference with a few updates on the status of Israel.
This week we celebrated our 30th anniversary as a church as Pastor Bob spoke on the Parable of the Sower and likened it to the church. We must do our diligence in laying the seed, but it is the Lord who brings the harvest.
Pastor Bob completed the ASK Prayer Series with a message in John 17 on "Why Some Prayers Go Unanswered." Some of the greatest answered prayers in life are actually a "no" from God, who's the only one who can see the full picture—check out the full service below to learn why.
Pastor Bob continued with Part 2 of our ASK series titled, "The Abiding Principal" in John 15. We tend to think prayer is to get God on board with what we want, but prayer is to get us on board with what God desires. When we get alone with Him, he redirects our prayers to His will.
Pastor Bob started our new series on prayer with his message, "What Jesus Taught About Prayer." Our marching orders for this series isn't to look back and feel guilty about our prayer lives, but to look forward at the possibilities of a flourishing prayer life.
This past Sunday was a Moment Sunday with extended worship from Moment Worship and a teaching from Anna Walker Roberts. It was such a powerful time of confession and repentance as Anna likened God's care for us to a mother who washes her child's laundry.
On Sunday, we got to hear from Pastor Adler Roberts at both Main Campus & Ardmore Campus on Psalm 51 and how the revelation of the cross is the ultimate resolution David longed for in the Psalm and is readily available to us today.
Pastor Bob led us through Psalm 150 and talked about the heart of worship, theology of worship and the styles of worship. Scripture clearly invites us to praise the Lord all throughout the Psalms and Pastor Bob gives tangible language to how we can do this today.
Pastor Bob lead us through the green pasture that is Psalm 23 this past Sunday. He reminded us that there's a God who blesses us, who knows each and every one of us, and who is pursuing us.
This week, Pastor Shem preached on one of the most personal passages in the Bible: Psalm 139. God wants us to know who we are so we aren’t shaken and tossed. So we can stand confidently. Restfully. To be known is man’s highest need—and God wants you to know that He knows you completely.
How involved do you think God is with your individual life? Does your individual story make sense? This week, Mike Guaglione used Psalm 66 as the biblical view of how we view our stories. Your story not only makes sense, but inextricably involves God in every single way.
Pastor John Reilly kicked off our new series for the next 6 weeks by diving into Psalm 1. How do we live a blessed, happy life? God went through great measures to make the happy and blessed life a reality for us—all through the blood of Jesus. Pastor John gave us four 4 indicators of the blessed person:
- The blessed person is choosey with what advice they will take.
- The blessed person is choosey with their friends.
- The blessed person is choosey with their focus.
- The blessed person is choosey with their positioning.
But really, he boiled it down to blessing is what you get when all you want is God.

Pastor Bob completed our 1 John series this past Sunday with his message on love. To put it plainly, God was at his best when he ambushed you with his love. Period.
This week, Pastor Bob continues our 1 John series into chapter 3. As Christians it is important for us to identify ourselves as Children of God, and what comes with that. Jesus taught us what it means to be the Abba's child. Behold what manner of love the Father has lavished upon us to be called the children of God!
The world we live in is full of spiritual knock-offs. And 1 John cautions us against false teaching and false doctrine that steal our joy and well-being. Only the pure, true word of God can lastingly sustain us in a time of deception. Pastor Bob highlighted the importance of being aware that we are in the last days, though the exact day and hour is unknown. May we cultivate a love for truth to keep us joyful!
In Sunday's sermon, Pastor Bob explored the tension of loving the world God created but not loving the systems of darkness. Listen as he breaks down the dangers of loving the world found in 1 John 2.
Why do we have joy? One simple reason. Because we get to know God. When we know the author, we can understand the Bible and the heart behind it.
Starting a new series in 1 John, Pastor Bob leads us on a journey of finding joy in a world plagued by anxiety. We learn that we can not only find joy, but joy abundant, because of the finished work of Savior, Jesus.
This week, Pastor Bob took us through this year's prophesy update in regards to God's timing and communication through His word and to His people, speaking on the different ways the Bible can be read and understood and the current status of the prophesies of the Lord's return.
We concluded our Fruitful Life series this past Sunday with Pastor Bob's message on sowing and reaping. Chapter six in Galatians lays out a foundation of sowing and reaping, and Pastor Bob gave us the four principles to The Law of Great Returns.
- The Sower determines the size of the harvest.
- The seed-to-harvest ratio is exponential.
- There is a necessary delay between sowing and reaping.
- A great percent of the harvest comes all at once.
So, what are you asking God to fill? What are you believing Him for? May we never stop sowing to a God who wants you to reap
We celebrated Mother's Day with three short messages from Pastor Bob Guaglione, Anna Walker Roberts, and Mike Guaglione to honor our moms!
Pastor Bob taught us that the church has a culture of honor, modeled from the top down to bottom because it's instituted by God.
Anna taught us to combat the lies of motherhood with scripture. As a community, we must recognize the spiritual battles that moms carry and speak truth to remind them of Jesus rest and promises.
Mike taught us that honor is a fundamental part of the Christian faith. As we looked to Jesus' response at the Wedding in Cana, our prayer is to take our scripts, plans, and strategies and throw them in the trash, like God himself did, just to be able to honor someone.
Pastor Bob picked back up in our Galatians series for Part 2 of the Fruit of the Spirit. He reminded us that these fruit are not produced by human effort. They're not virtues to be worked on but a byproduct of the Spirit of God living inside of us. This week, we covered joy & peace. What's getting in the way of the peace and joy that we are to exhibit because of the Holy Spirit's dwelling inside of us? What are your joy-blockers? What could be stopping you from real shalom?
We got to host Ryan Ries from the Whosoevers Movement this past weekend and watched a move of God in our midst! Ryan's powerful messages of grace and truth compelled our community to respond to salvation, re-dedication, and interceding for loved ones. This is the second of two sermons Ryan shared with us this week.
We're diving deep into the Fruit of the Spirit—and first up is love. Pastor Bob urged us to stay plugged into the source, like an iPhone plugged into a charger or an orange simply abiding and growing on a tree. If we remain connected to the source, we will exhibit fruit. And to exhibit love is our greatest gift we can give to others. We get to see it manifest not that we love God but that he loved us. And sent his son to die for us.
We are close to death every day. But at the same time, we are just as close to life. Like the repentant thief on the cross, we have access to the kingdom of paradise with Jesus at any moment. There is a God who loves you more than anything you can imagine, and you were made to connect with Him. To live life abundantly.
We finally made it to the part of the series where we actually talk about the fruit in Galatians! And get comfy, because we're going to be spending a lot of time studying the Fruit of the Spirit. Pastor Bob dug into chapter five, where we highlighted the victory we have over the flesh just by walking with the Spirit. It's a lifestyle where the Holy Spirit will lead you into fruitful territory.
We dove back into Galatians 4 this past Sunday as Pastor Bob's message reminded us why we traded in religion for relationship. We have access to God as children because of Christ! We have an Abba. A Heavenly Father. A Dad to remind us who we are and how loved we are. Sunday's message encouraged us to really know the Father. Listen below if you missed it!
Pastor Adler Roberts jumped to Galatians 5 and broke down freedom for us. As Americans, it's easy to think we can define and understand freedom, but when we look at what Jesus did for us, it means so much more. Check out Sunday's service to dive deeper into the freedom that Christ set us free for.
This past Sunday, we dove into the Law. Many Christians may be tempted to throw out the Old Testament, but we learned three observations of the importance the law as mentioned in Galatians:
- The law is divine.
- The law is good.
- The law is temporary.
The law had a purpose. And because we can't measure up to the standards of the law, it brought us to Christ. And through Him, the law has fulfilled that purpose.
We've covered that Jesus rescued us from sin into freedom. But can we keep this freedom? Can we enjoy it? Pastor Bob took us through the beginning of Galatians 3 and focused—yet again—on the gospel of grace. Abraham, mentioned in verse 6, wasn't holy or righteous on his own. He was called by God. And we are called by God and called by grace.
Pastor Bob kicked off our new series rooted in the book of Galatians—also known as the "Christian Declaration of Independence." As we studied Jesus' rescue mission ("...who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age"), we zeroed in on the gospel, grace, and freedom. It was an incredible Sunday glorifying the costly gift of grace. God has come to make us free, to enjoy our freedom, and never go back to what enslaved us.
This weekend we got to hear from Pastor John Clifford as he took us through 1 John, and all things love. The beauty of understanding and experiencing love comes from knowing God intimately. God is love, so to know one, you get the other.
We took a little break from a typical Sunday with our Q panel and it was such a nice switch up. To sum it up: the Gospel is still relevant.
This week we completed our study of 1 & 2 Kings this past Sunday by studying the passage where Elijah gets called up to heaven. Pastor Bob spent some time talking about heaven: what it is, what it's defined by, and how the only requirement to enter is grace.
This past Sunday we continued with 1 Kings 19. Discouragement came to even the greatest men and women of God who have ever lived. Is there a cure? Yes! May the Lord speak to you in the thin silence this week.
We continued our "Who is God?" series in 1 Kings 18:17-39 with the showdown passage of Elijah calling fire down at Mount Carmel. There, the fire of God fell on a sinless substitute and proved the power of the one, true God.
This past Sunday, we continued studying the book of 1 Kings by looking at the life of the prophet Elijah.
This past Sunday, we finished up our Lessons from Good Kings series with a longtime friend of ccdelco, Bill Butterworth, speaking on the final Good King, Jesus Christ, the King of kings.
This week Pastor Bob highlighted Kings Hezekiah and Josiah. We've learned that no king other than Jesus was perfect, but we can learn leadership and life lessons from their mistakes.
This week we studied King Uzziah and watched his successful years of leadership fall to pride. Pastor Bob urged us to fight to stay small in our own eyes and look for opportunities to see God moving in our lives.

In our last week of our Letters: Colossians series, Mike Montgomery speaks on the purpose of suffering and being content with nothing but the Lord.
Family Matters This past Sunday, Pastor Bob led us through Colossians 3:18-4:1 and there was such a sense of freedom and lightness coming from the truth of the scriptures. Family matters. The roles and ordinances set by God in family matters. Our work matters. Everything we do matters when we do it unto the Lord!
This week we hosted Abdu Murray speaking on his new book "More Than a White Man's Religion: Why the Gospel Has Never Been Merely White, Male-Centered, or Just Another Religion". Abdu's message is that the Gospel is the very cure for the things it is being blamed for in today's culture.
This past Sunday was incredible. As we looked at Colossians 3:5-17, we were encouraged to put away the old self and put on the new.
Letters: Colossians continues as Pastor Bob takes us through Colossians 3:1-4 and how we are to think of heaven, and in doing so, we can bring some of it to earth.

Repentance is a gift. In a world where the word "repentance" seems to pair with punishment, guest speaker Vince Vitale explains that this is far from true. God gives us the gift of repentance, to patch holes where satan might try to squeeze in darkness. When we repent we are led to life everlasting, and so often we give up opportunities to repent out of fear of being corrected, made wrong or punished.
Guest speaker, Guy Wasko takes us through Ecclesiastes to touch on a question a lot of humans desire to understand: Does life have meaning?
As we near the end of our Summer series, we explore the idea of obedience following repentance which then leads to forgiveness.

Solomon knows all about chasing after happiness and we can learn a lot from reading his words on how to be content in every season. Nothing is ever wasted, even the waiting.
In the book of Proverbs, there are practical tools from the Lord and Solomon's experiences that are set to help us navigate wisdom.
We dove into the Song of Songs where Pastor Bob explained how this is both a beautiful example of a romance between Solomon and a Shulammite woman and an example of the love story between Christ and the Church.

We all experience pain in different ways wether it be physical, emotional, relational, etc. but the truth still remains that pain is hard.
Pastor John Reilly shared how pain in his life could have kept him and keeps so many of us from all that the Lord has. If God really promises to turn all things for good for those who love Him and walk according to His will (Romans 8:28) we can rest assured in the storm that we will experience glory one day and if not here on earth, at least we know that we will spend all of eternity with the Lord Almighty.
Pastor Bob addresses the topic of divorce in the book of Matthew. Follow along as he takes us through Matthew 19 and uncovers the Father's heart for marriage.
Pastor Bob walks us through the parable of the ten virgins found in Matthew 25. Throughout the book of Matthew, Jesus is seen teaching in parables to help His followers understand the things that are and the things that are to come. In Matthew 25 He uses the parable of a wedding and the importance of the bride staying ready for her bridegroom's return to explain how His people must be ready for His return, for no one knows the hour that He will come to judge the living and the dead, but we need to stay ready.
The ultimate reason for Jesus coming to earth and dying an undeserving death for our sins so that we can take on His righteousness is because of love.

The power of testimony.
John Clifford shared his story, and reminded us of God's incredible grace to love sinners like us.
The law came through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus.
It's through grace and truth that you and I exist. We can fall on our knees before a Savior who understands that we will never measure up to the law which is why He sent His son Jesus (Love) to pay the price and defeat death (eternal separation from God).
Most of the old Testament, we read that God was putting up guard rails on how to live life with Him, how to walk with Him and how to serve Him. God is sovereign and turns all things for good for those who love Him and walk according to His plans.
If we are living off of our own resources, power or strength, we won't get to see God move. May we never miss Him in all the moments, the high, the low and the mundane.
Pastor Bob talks about wasted potential, which is sometimes our promised land. He then reminds us of the heart of the gracious Father which is to bless and keep us, to make His face shine upon us, be gracious to us and give us peace.
There is a season for all things.
About a year ago, we collectively entered into the same season across the globe called COVID-19. It has since been a crazy year of uncertainty, confusion and hardship and yet, God was still at work. He showed up in big ways and proved His faithfulness as true.
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." Ecc. 3:1
Our generosity should be the overflow of our understanding of Jesus and His character. Once we understand who He is and how generous He is, we will want to lay everything at His feet in worship.

How much do we really understand that sin lurks at our door?
Sin is inherently part of our human nature, tracing all the way back to Adam and Eve in the garden. Scripture tells us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, and what a glorious truth to rejoice in! Sin, though it can bring fleeting pleasure, actually numbs us from the truth.
If you read the book of Leviticus, you will learn holiness and holiness is the essence of who God is.

God is never in a hurry. He has perfect will and a perfect plan that He wants to use us to accomplish. You might be the only burning bush someone encounters.

Exodus begins.
We embark on a study of the book of Exodus, which marks Israel's redemption from slavery in Egypt. We begin to understand that the grandeur narrative is that God's desire is always to deliver us from the evils of empires and worldliness.
Joseph was a lot more like you and me than we think.
He is one of the most unique characters in Genesis. He never audibly heard the voice of God, was never visited by an angel, and yet his role is still so important.
The Christian life is not easy. But we serve the God of the living, which means He is with us and for us!
The same God that had mercy on Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob also wants to have a real, personal relationship with you and me! He has been here all along and maybe we didn't even know it.
The longer you walk with God, the longer the foundations will be kicked out.
There is a God who is love...who is NOT defined by the success of this world, but by the sacrifice of His Son to save the world. This is demonstrated through Abraham and his son Isaac in Genesis 22. We know that this love was fully revealed later by the finality of the cross.
God longs to do a work and He longs to use us, imperfect humans, to carry out that work.
Often times, God chooses one man or woman to build a team that unifies and supports the call that has been placed on the heart of that one person. How cool that He desires to call and use us!
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Genesis 6:8
Noah was not perfect...he was human and just as sinful as any other and yet the Lord had favor on him and his family in the days of the flood. As bible-believing Christians, we believe that there will come a day when the Son of Man will come again to judge the earth for all of her unrighteousness. What can we do in these days to prepare?
There is a great need for repentance. We need to get to a place where our hearts are broken with the broken hearted and desperate for a healing of our land so that the Lord can have His way in our Nation.
Why would God tell Adam about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil if He didn't want him to eat from it?
God, in His lovingkindness gave Man the freedom to choose. We serve a God who actually allows us the freewill to choose Him. He wants to know us and is waiting for our "yes" but He will never force Himself upon anyone.
In Genesis 1 and 2 we see the Creator of the universe speak all that is into existence, showing us that His word can be trusted. Creation itself shows that God is good and in His goodness, He created abundance and variety.

We all experience seasons of discouragement; however, no season is ever wasted. We measure in happiness, but God measures in holiness, and we have an opportunity to seek His will in every circumstance. We must learn to delight ourselves in the Lord alone.
Life is hard. The great news is that as followers of Christ we have confidence by placing our faith in His death, burial and resurrection that when we leave this body, we are immediately in the presence of God.
Proverbs 24:16 reads, "For though a righteous man may fall seven times, he still gets up..."
What makes up a biblical friendship?
Cause – Good friends have a cause. Commitment – Great friends are committed. Catalyst – Biblical friends are a catalyst to transforming one another into who God is calling them to be.
“GOD, I’m not trying to rule the roost, I don’t want to be king of the mountain. I haven’t meddled where I have no business or fantasized grandiose plans. I’ve kept my feet on the ground, I’ve cultivated a quiet heart. Like a baby content in its mother’s arms, my soul is a baby content. Wait, Israel, for GOD. Wait with hope. Hope now; hope always!” —Psalm 131:1-3 MSG
Ambition directed in the wrong place can go all the wrong ways. Let us live a life of holy ambition, where we say "I want God to win and I want God to be noticed."
We are conquerors. Not because we battle like David, but because we have a champion in Jesus Christ.
What does it mean to be human? This is where David is going to take us. What’s it like to be human AND to walk with God?
In the next 5 weeks, we’re asking for bigger hearts for God. For passionate hearts that are sold out for God.
"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe"
The encounter with Thomas teaches us that doubt is a part of faith. A life of faith has an element of doubt.
Joseph was wealthy. Head of the Sanhedrin. Part of the aristocracy. Identifying with Jesus, he has everything to lose. His life. His wealth. His reputation.
Nehemiah mourns. Because that’s where change begins.
Can rebuild together? And mourn and weep and pray and let God reboot and rebuild.
In this candid, small group type of message, we take a look at Jesus' final prayer on earth in which he prays for unity within the church.
There are troubled hearts because of COVID-19 and there were troubled hearts before it. And we know exactly where to turn when our hearts are troubled.
We're taking a look at when Jesus identified his betrayer.
No one was closer to the truth than Judas Iscariot. He saw every miracle. Heard every teaching. And wasted it all.
A man called by God, close to the truth, walked away from it all.
We're talking about re-entry back into the church building & culture. We'll get through it together. We'll get through it while we grow. What we need now is the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Listen more. Love more. Be a person of grace.
Jesus chose you.
Before going to the cross, Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. In this moment He knew what was about to happen. He knew He would pay the penalty of sin for all of mankind, and in that garden, He even cried out to God the Father, asking if there was another way. But it was in that moment that He chose you.
Tune in and listen to Pastor Bob as he leads us through the story of HOPE, that is the man Jesus.
God is still in control.
We celebrate Palm Sunday and remember that Jesus was riding into the city of Jerusalem, fully aware of what was to come later that week. He knew that this was the only way to forgiveness and redemption. He was the way to eternal life for all mankind. Though what was to come was uncertain to the city of Jerusalem, Jesus knew, and He knew that His heavenly Father was in control. He was in control then and He is in control now.
Be encouraged this week, that no matter our circumstance, our mighty God is not surprised. He is still in control.
The scriptures have a way to shine the brightest when things get dark.
Pastor Shem encourages us to seek our mighty God, and to press into all that He is doing in the unseen. God is surprised by our current reality and He promises to turn all things good for those who love Him.
We are the Church.
The church is not the building but the people in it.
"The church community is where we learn to love God and others, where we are strengthened and transformed by truth from the word. Where we are taught to pray, to worship, to serve, where we can be most certain that we are investing our time and abilities for eternity. Where we can grow in our roles as friends, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers. The church is earth's single best place, God's specially designed place to start over, to grow, to change, for the glory of God."
Even in this uncertain time we remain confident of this: The Lord is merciful and working in the unseen. Just because we cannot "gather" in a building for church, it does not mean that the church has shut down. Now, Church, it is our time to shine hope to those in need. To love one another and spread the Joy of the Lord regardless of our circumstance.
We live in a fine tuned universe, giving us ripples of evidence that there is a Creator. If He created the beauty around us with specific purpose, what makes us any different?
Worthy of two weeks, we dive back into John chapter 11, where Jesus says that He is the Resurrection Life and the one who believes in Him will live though they die. Listen to what Pastor Bob has to say about living in our resurrection reality. We were all created with purpose and it is our job to start walking in it.
We know that our timing usually never lines up with God's, so what do we do when love delays? The story of Lazarus is a beautiful example of trusting God's timing in the process of waiting. Join us as Pastor Bob breaks down the story of Jesus bringing Lazarus back to life.
A good shepherd smells like sheep. Jesus is the greatest shepherd and has set the most extraordinary example of what it means to guard, guide and protect His sheep. We take a look at the miracle mentioned in John: Mary brings her request to Jesus and didn't know what He would do. But, she knew whatever he did would be right.
All of our problems stem from living a life opposed to the way life was designed. So, how do we get as close as we can to becoming the image bearers we were meant to be? As close to flourishing as we can get? We take a look in John chapter 1.
