Episode #12 - John Longmire
This weeks guest is Corowa born and bred, North Melbourne Champion Player and current coach at the Sydney Swans John Longmire.
John has gone on to be one of Corowa's finest sports stars and role models. Hear his journey from his early days growing up on the farm in Balldale, playing senior football at Corowa Rutherglen as a 16 year old and going down to win a Coleman Medal, a Best and Fairest and become a Premiership player at North Melbourne.
We also discuss his career as a coach, winning the premiership in 2012 at Sydney and the comparisons between winning as a player versus a coach.

This weeks guest on the show takes a different tangent when we interview, Yarrawonga born and Mulwala dance champion Alarna Donovan.
Alarna has a World Gran Prix Dance Championship, The Blackpool Invitational Best New Comers title, 5 x Australian Adult Champion and along with numerous other Australian titles.
Hear her journey from starting out at the age of 7, the sacrifices she makes as a young dancer and her journey to become one of the best Australian dancers.

This weeks guest on 'There Must Be Something In The Water' is Rutherglen Football Star Rob Campbell.
After a successful campaign playing Rutherglen juniors then the Murray Bushrangers, Rob made the most of his opportunities to be drafted to the Hawthorn Football Club.
Becoming the number 1 ruckmen in his time at Hawthorn Rob was an integral member of the Hawthorn Football Club as they climbed the ranks and became a powerhouse of the AFL and himself becoming a premiership player for the club.
Here his journey from Rutherglen and his successful career at Hawthorn and what he is up to in the coaching ranks in football.
Episode #9 - Lea Hansen
This weeks guest on 'There Must Be Something In The Water' is Corowa cricket star Lea Hansen.
Lea played all his junior and senior cricket for Corowa and Buraja before having a stint in Melbourne playing district and then moving to Canberra as apart of the Canberra Comets Mercantile Mutual Cup side where he was named in the Team of the year for the competition. This resulted in Lea being selected for the Prime Ministers XI and an Australian A tour against India A in Los Angeles.
We have some great cricket stories involving Lea's journey playing cricket, playing with Merv Hughes and some of the names he played with and against playing at that high level.

Episode #8 - Mick Gayfer
This weeks guest is Collingwood 1990 premiership player and Rutherglen born and bred, Mick Gayfer.
Mick played over 140 games for Collingwood and was known for his close checking defence and played on some of the games greats including Dunstall and Lockett.
Hear of his upbringing in Rutherglen, and playing for Corowa Rutherglen in the former Coreen leagues days before heading to Corowa Rutherglen in the Ovens and Murray. Also the journey from the bush to Melbourne and the eventual career at Collingwood.
This weeks guest on 'There Must Be Something In The Water' is Corowa Golfing star Marcus Fraser. Born and bred in Corowa, hear Marcus' story of how he got into the sport of golf, his early battles with his brother Adam, his amateur career where he represented Australia 7 times before his professional career took off on the European Tour after winning the Russian Open.
Hear of life on the tour, the tough times of playing such an isolating sport and his journey of a career of over 15 years as a professional golfer with so much success along the journey culminating in his words his greatest achievement, representing Australia at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

This week guests is none other than Corowa born and 1975 Nth Melbourne Premiership player, Peter Chisnall. Here about Peter growing up and playing junior footy through the ranks at Corowa. Being apart of the last ever Corowa premiership before it's merger in 1968, being apart of history being a member of Nth Melbourne's first ever premiership side. There are plenty of great stories in this podcast as anyone would know, 'Chissy' is a great story teller and motivator and was a joy to have as a guest on the show.
Episode 5 - Sophie Hanrahan
Episode 5 features former CDHBU junior star and now Corowa Rutherglen Netball star in Sophie Hanrahan. Sophie who has won 3 league A Grade Best and Fairest medals including back to back Toni Wilson A Grade Ovens and Murray League Best and Fairest's all at the age of the 23.
She is already a star of the Ovens and Murray and who knows where her Netball journey will take her and was a great guest. Hear her journey from junior netball days and then being an integral part of the Corowa Rutherglen resurgence in Netball the past couple of years including three sides playing off in grand finals in 2019.
Guest #4 - Travis Osborne
The fourth guest on "There Must Be Something In The Water' is 2 x World Wakeboarding Champion Travis Osborne. Trav or Ozzie grew up in Corowa along the Murray and the mighty Murray became a pivotal figure in his Wakeboarding career. You will here stories of how he got into the sport, his successes, his friends and family who supported him along the journey and just some crazy stories involving some stunts and rare moments like nearly shutting down Moomba for good.
Guest #3 - Shannon Wallis
This weeks episode is with professional caddy and Corowa local Shannon Wallis. Shan as he is known was a handy golfer in his own right but took a different path and worked in the golf industry as a caddy for over 16 years and has worked with golfers such as Corowa's Marcus Fraser, Nathan Green, Robert Allenby and currently who he is working for America's Brandt Snedeker. Here how Shan got into golf and subsequently caddying, his high's, his experiences with Tiger Woods and some of his stories along the journey.
Our second guest of 'There Must Be Something In The Water' is Corowa's only Olympic Gold Medalist, Steve Mowlam. Steve is also a Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist and was voted the best goalkeeper in the world in 2006. Here Steve's journey in the sport and how his resilience and self-belief being catalysts for the successful career he had.
The first ever episode features Trap Shooter James Willett. James has already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics now held in 2021 and has been to the Rio Olympics and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Hear how James got into the Sport, hear of his successes so far and how long he thinks he can compete at an elite level.
