Our God is a God of order, who does all things well. “God is not a God of disorder but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33). With God, disorder and chaos give way to order and peace.
Discipleship Is Serious Business What does it mean to be a deep Christ-follower today when the unlimited options, noisy distractions, and million versions of truth swamp our soul? How is it possible to be a deep person while being swept up in community, school, and church events, shopping, networking, laundering, family-building, and a 50-60 hour work week?

aking care of your mental health is equally as important as taking care of your physical health. Those living with a mental illness or disorder — whether ongoing or temporary — often find that it affects many areas of their life, including their personal relationships and work. The best way to navigate mental illness and care for one’s mental health? Seek out treatment from a professional.
How do you know when it’s time to reach out? If you’re feeling constantly overwhelmed, it’s probably a good idea to seek support. The good news is that there are many types of mental healthcare available folks — in fact, there are even ways to connect virtually..
“They’re mine. I bought them. I chose them. Go speak. My sheep hear my voice, and they follow me, so speak for me.” Isn’t that amazing that Jesus gives that to you? “Open your mouth. Sound my name and my gospel. Let my voice be heard in yours. My sheep hear my voice, and they follow.”
You cannot fail. Get it done in the hardest places of the world. It’s not your job to convert anybody. Let the voice be heard. You’ll get it done.

Our feelings are valid because we feel them. They have a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean you get to do whatever you want as a result of it, without your behavior impacting your relationships.
Barton Goldsmith, Ph.D., LMFT writes
Ultimately, we all want to experience and share the good stuff more than the toxic stuff that course through our days, but it can take a while to develop the habit. It’s not as much about practicing as it is about how you come across and what it feels like when you say what’s truly going on inside your head.
When you open your mouth, you are also opening your heart, and knowing that someone truly hears what you are feeling and understands you is soothing to your soul.

When you love yourself, you create self-confidence, self-worth, and compassion. One of the biggest problems we all face in this age of Instagram and Facebook is about validating ourselves through the approval of others. When we are constantly comparing our lives to other people or have worth tied up in their opinions of us, we are setting ourselves up for misery. The answer is to have that sense of self so cemented that nothing anyone can say or do can knock you from your knowledge of who you are and what you are worth. That deep place of self-love is the starting place for all miracles!

A want is something that you desire and something that an individual does not possess yet. Unlike a need, which is mandatory for existence such as in the case of oxygen, water, or food, wants are not mandatory for the existence. ... • A desire is a more intense craving that a person has for something or someone. • The main difference is that while a desire is stronger and an intense feeling, this is comparatively less in the case of a want.

Thessalonians 2:16 -May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 -Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.
We are of much value that a life of a God was sacrificed for us so that we could have a chance to be part of the family of God! Our calling to God’s way of life, through the suffering and shed blood of Christ, was made in hopes of you and I answering that call. If we weren’t of such great value and weren’t designed to have such a great potential, God wouldn’t have wasted His time dealing with us humans. Remind yourself continually that your life is worth something; it was worth the life of our King Jesus Chris. Believe that and cement that in your heart.

According to History. com
Mother’s Day is a holiday honoring motherhood that is observed in different forms throughout the world. In the United States, Mother’s Day 2021 will occur on Sunday, May 9. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Jarvis would later denounce the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar. While dates and celebrations vary, Mother’s Day traditionally involves presenting moms with flowers, cards and other gifts
History of Mother’s Day Celebrations of mothers and motherhood can be traced back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, who held festivals in honor of the mother goddesses Rhea and Cybele, but the clearest modern precedent for Mother’s Day is the early Christian festival known as “Mothering Sunday.”
Once a major tradition in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe, this celebration fell on the fourth Sunday in Lent and was originally seen as a time when the faithful would return to their “mother church”—the main church in the vicinity of their home—for a special service.
Over time the Mothering Sunday tradition shifted into a more secular holiday, and children would present their mothers with flowers and other tokens of appreciation. This custom eventually faded in popularity before merging with the American Mother’s Day in the 1930s and 1940s.
Did you know? More phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year. These holiday chats with Mom often cause phone traffic to spike by as much as 37 percent.
Ann Reeves Jarvis and Julia Ward Howe The origins of Mother’s Day as celebrated in the United States date back to the 19th century. In the years before the Civil War, Ann Reeves Jarvis of West Virginia helped start “Mothers’ Day Work Clubs” to teach local women how to properly care for their children.
These clubs later became a unifying force in a region of the country still divided over the Civil War. In 1868 Jarvis organized “Mothers’ Friendship Day,” at which mothers gathered with former Union and Confederate soldiers to promote reconciliation.
Another precursor to Mother’s Day came from the abolitionist and suffragette Julia Ward Howe. In 1870 Howe wrote the “Mother’s Day Proclamation,” a call to action that asked mothers to unite in promoting world peace. In 1873 Howe campaigned for a “Mother’s Peace Day” to be celebrated every June 2.
Other early Mother’s Day pioneers include Juliet Calhoun Blakely, a temperance activist who inspired a local Mother’s Day in Albion, Michigan, in the 1870s. The duo of Mary Towles Sasseen and Frank Hering, meanwhile, both worked to organize a Mothers’ Day in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Some have even called Hering “the father of Mothers’ Day.”
Anna Jarvis Turns Mother's Day Into a National Holiday The official Mother’s Day holiday arose in the 1900s as a result of the efforts of Anna Jarvis, daughter of Ann Reeves Jarvis. Following her mother’s 1905 death, Anna Jarvis conceived of Mother’s Day as a way of honoring the sacrifices mothers made for their children.
After gaining financial backing from a Philadelphia department store owner named John Wanamaker, in May 1908 she organized the first official Mother’s Day celebration at a Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia. That same day also saw thousands of people attend a Mother’s Day event at one of Wanamaker’s retail stores in Philadelphia.
Following the success of her first Mother’s Day, Jarvis—who remained unmarried and childless her whole life—resolved to see her holiday added to the national calendar. Arguing that American holidays were biased toward male achievements, she started a massive letter writing campaign to newspapers and prominent politicians urging the adoption of a special day honoring motherhood.
By 1912 many states, towns and churches had adopted Mother’s Day as an annual holiday, and Jarvis had established the Mother’s Day International Association to help promote her cause. Her persistence paid off in 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson signed a measure officially establishing the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.
Jarvis Decries Commercialized Mother’s Day Anna Jarvis had originally conceived of Mother’s Day as a day of personal celebration between mothers and families. Her version of the day involved wearing a white carnation as a badge and visiting one’s mother or attending church services. But once Mother’s Day became a national holiday, it was not long before florists, card companies and other merchants capitalized on its popularity.
While Jarvis had initially worked with the floral industry to help raise Mother’s Day’s profile, by 1920 she had become disgusted with how the holiday had been commercialized. She outwardly denounced the transformation and urged people to stop buying Mother’s Day flowers, cards and candies.
Jarvis eventually resorted to an open campaign against Mother’s Day profiteers, speaking out against confectioners, florists and even charities. She also launched countless lawsuits against groups that had used the name “Mother’s Day,” eventually spending most of her personal wealth in legal fees. By the time of her death in 1948 Jarvis had disowned the holiday altogether, and even actively lobbied the government to see it removed from the American calendar.
Mother’s Day Around the World While versions of Mother’s Day are celebrated worldwide, traditions vary depending on the country. In Thailand, for example, Mother’s Day is always celebrated in August on the birthday of the current queen, Sirikit.
Another alternate observance of Mother’s Day can be found in Ethiopia, where families gather each fall to sing songs and eat a large feast as part of Antrosht, a multi-day celebration honoring motherhood.
In the United States, Mother’s Day continues to be celebrated by presenting mothers and other women with gifts and flowers, and it has become one of the biggest holidays for consumer spending. Families also celebrate by giving mothers a day off from activities like cooking or other household chores.
At times, Mother’s Day has also been a date for launching political or feminist causes. In 1968 Coretta Scott King, wife of Martin Luther King, Jr., used Mother’s Day to host a march in support of underprivileged women and children. In the 1970s women’s groups also used the holiday as a time to highlight the need for equal rights and access to childcare.

Child abuse and neglect are common. At least 1 in 7 children have experienced child abuse and/or neglect in the past year, and this is likely an underestimate. In 2019, 1,840 children died of abuse and neglect in the United States. Children living in poverty experience more abuse and neglect.

Don’t turn back’ means, that, with faith in Christ, you won’t see the things that are troubling you as a land-mine for today and tomorrow, but as wounds of humility. Then you can engage in prayer in renunciation of the will, and let the bad thoughts die.
In life we want to often turn back because of normalcy and complacent. In order to move forward as we often have to do in growth and process. Now let's remember turning does not mean not to remember or recall but do not return to the same in which you recalled which mean a mannerism or some form of action.

If you don't have a way, you make a way. Brandi Webb went from a young girl dreaming about acting to actually writing, directing and starring in plays and films. In 2005, Brandi Webb, made her first debut as playwright, producer and director for her very own off-Broadway stage play, "Yet to Evolve” in Times Square, NYC . The play caught a lot of attention and press and was covered on the Bronx 12 News. Due to the success of “Yet To Evolve,” Brandi launched a theatre company named after the play. Brandi Webb has been producing and directing for 15 years.
As a producer, Brandi Webb is best recognized for her ability to attain the seemingly unattainable. With an ambitious nature and an outside of the box mentality, she specializes in getting a production whatever it needs regardless of how challenging the task is. Ms. Webb's production tasks are completed quickly, yet efficiently and her professional manner holds her in an organized and reliable light. As a director, Brandi Webb is best known for having a good visual eye, which allows her to be great with blocking, camera shots/angles, and casting. She is exceptionally able to analyze and see what's necessary for bringing a vision to life and capturing it on stage/camera.
For Ms. Webb, professionalism is everything. The on set experience she gained as an actor from childhood, taught her common industry ethics such as, "the show must go on," "Never be late or absent," "be prepared/ off book," and "respect your director," have manifested into Brandi Webb's producing and directing career. Ms. Webb believes professionalism sets the tone for how a production will turn out.
Brandi Webb earned her Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and Communication from Clark Atlanta University, and her Associates in Theatre Arts from Borough Manhattan Community College.

StArt a conversation.. Talking about abuse is hard
Personal Bill of Rights
https://dharmaspirit.com/pdf/Personal%20Bill%20of%20Rights_Handout.pdf
https://www.thehotline.org/support-others/start-a-conversation/
Watching someone experience abuse is challenging, especially if that person is someone you know and love. Abuse is about power and control, meaning there may be a clear imbalance in the relationship where one partner has or ends up with more power and control over the other.
Conversations with a survivor about their situation can be hard: they may not want to discuss the abuse they’re experiencing for any number of reasons, including fear, shame, or even concern for their partner who has abusive behavior.
If you’ve noticed warning signs of abuse affecting someone in your life, your instinct may be to intervene or even “save them” from the relationship, but it’s never that simple.
