Becky Holland is the Founder and CEO at BH&P, an innovative communications brand that enables businesses with purpose to accelerate growth without limits! After a long career working with top agencies and brands such as Microsoft, English Heritage, Marks & Spencer, NatWest, Santander, Corel, Dell, Schroders, Acer and many others, Becky changed things around a bit when she had children - consulting, financial management, and creating her own cake design and wedding cake business. Three years as marketing director of a leadership development business, gave Becky a passion for coaching, leadership development and the human-side of business, so she went back into the agency-side for a bit.

Becky knew she wanted to do work that really mattered - and working in business development for someone else's agency was never going to cut it. An opportunity arose in 2015 to branch out on her own, and started BH&P, at that time Becky Holland & Partners Ltd. The huge amount of hours she put into building the brand, purpose and team, have allowed her to do work that truly stands out.

Brands large and small have trusted BH&P over the past 8 years - highlights include launching The Business Finance Guide for ICAEW and The British Business Bank, winning a 12-agency pitch to set up and run Stay Energy Safe on behalf of the national charity Crimestoppers, running the most successful global growth campaign Epicor has ever seen, launching CBILs and BBILs at the start of the pandemic - and working with brands such as Purition, Sea Change Wines, TradeBridge, innova, IDS and Levell.

With the support of my phenomenal and multi-award-winning Creative Director Claus Larsen, and her incredible team - Jim, Nav, Eleni, Jamie, Sophia, Ed, Hasan, Charlotte, Ela and Petru - as well as an extended partner network that reaches South Africa, Canada, Columbia, the US, France and China, Becky is relentlessly focused on creating growth for our clients, growing brand equity and establishing highly creative solutions that drive significant commercial success.

Becky's true passion is for big ideas, brilliantly executed. Becky is a champion for equality and diversity, and is super-excited that BH&P have recently applied for B-Corp status. Becky states, "I am reminded daily - in good times and bad - of the need to keep doing things differently"

This podcast is Becky's story into becoming who she was meant to become, the CEO of one of the most innovative marketing brands in the UK today.

Digger Wordsworth - There is life after death!! I've had conversations with Angels... Evidence of a higher realm

Is there life after death? Possibly the biggest question we have as humans. Perhaps a taboo subject, something people do not want to talk about, think about or even consider. But, Digger Wordsworth has a fascinating perspective to share. He has had first-hand experience in talking to Angels and in this show shares his evidence of their being in a higher spiritual realm. Digger has released a book that contains his conversations with Angels, which he discussed during this engaging and eye-opening conversation.

  • Introduction
  • My first experiences with spirituality
  • Dismissing early coincidences
  • If this is all there is, what's the point?
  • Guidance from Silver Birch, evidence from 1936
  • What's the actual evidence of a higher realm
  • This is more than life after death, it's an eternal life
  • My mother suddenly passes away, how I knew something was going to happen
  • Death is the last taboo, we are not able to talk about it enough
  • Starting to talk to Angels through an Ouija board
  • Angels talking in a formal language to start
  • The Story of a woman whose son was killed by a sniper
  • I felt terrible like there has been a murder in that house
  • All religions have some truth, and answers for us to evaluate
  • Simon's view, I believe some people (mediums) can pick up on an energies
  • The spiritual realm exists, and it’s a beautiful place

Paul Whitacre is a Singer and Songwriter based in Denver, Colorado who was part of the band, ‘Whitacre’ who had toured nationally and played some major venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but COVID-19 closed that chapter of music sooner than expected. Since the beginning of quarantine, he has written, produced, and released two Eps and had over 400,000 listens on Spotify.

In facing adversity of the quarantine, Paul decided to use the quarantine as an opportunity, not allowing it to become an excuse, and is found a way to progress his career and music regardless.

A.P Beswick is an Author of Children's Books, here is his story in his own words;

"I began writing around two years ago when my children asked me to create a bedtime story for them and there the lost lion was created. Soon what followed was the pelacrocomonkeyphant (a mysterious creature that is a blend of a pelican, a crocodile a monkey and an elephant) and teddy and the lost sock. My children loved these stories.

I would spend most nights sat by their beds reading these to them and seeing my youngest daughters face light up as she intently listened to the words I had put together with such fascination was the most enjoyable experience for myself.

I had the idea for my first novel around six years ago, however it wasn’t until I started writing bedtime stories for my children that I gained the confidence to push myself to try and write it down.

It has been a real journey writing my story, from plotting and scene-setting to character development I have had to learn a lot as I went along. I find writing therapeutic and often after a long or busy day at work, once my daughter is tucked up in bed I sit at my laptop and continue to work on my stories which helps me to unwind and relax.

Mental health is my vocation and my passion and I try to include topics subtly within my stories with the hope that one day someone might pick up my story, realise that they are not alone in the way they are feeling, that it is ok to feel that way and to talk to someone.

I hope you enjoy my stories and I look forward to sharing this journey with you"

Skip Cummins is the author of the new book, "Mastering You from the Inside Out, survive and thrive personally and professionally" currently available on Amazon.

Here are some questions from Skip to you...

  1. Are you stuck personally or professionally?
  2. Have you ever had your ass kicked? Been fired, gone through a divorce, been demoted, been betrayed by someone you trusted?
  3. Have you ever said or thought, “I sure wish I knew then what I know now?”

If your answer to any of those questions is yes, I can help.

Why? Because I’ve been there done that! Several years ago after improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of people touched by treatment-resistant illnesses and creating over $1 billion in public shareholder value, false allegations took away everything I worked my entire life for…my reputation, my CEO job making over $600,000/year, my career, some $50 million of my net worth, my identity. And ultimately my family.

But just like every problem you’ll face in your lifetime, my seemingly insurmountable ass-kicking gave me a huge opportunity to take a long hard, brutally honest look at what I did to facilitate that ass-kicking, identify everything I know NOW that I wish I knew THEN that would have prevented that ass-kicking, and create and implement a plan to ensure that it never happens again!

How can I help you? My newfound knowledge inspired me to write Mastering You in which I (1) share with you not only my extraordinary successes, but also the unimaginable tragedies I’ve overcome and most importantly, my opportunities of a lifetime killing mistakes and failures, and (2) provide you with a proven formula and the tools to empower you to master you from the inside out so that you can be more successful than me, make fewer mistakes, have fewer failures and realize not squander more of your opportunities of a lifetime.

For more information on how I can help go to www.skipcummins.com

From our resident 'Toffeman' host Simon Cockram discusses Everton signing more number 10's and forgetting they need a striker, to the often boring, very optimistic, sometimes pessimistic, sometimes hilarious views of our Spurs fans residents Ross Smith and 'West Ham hater' Nigel Someck. Harvey Smith is watching the clock as its time for Liverpool to win everything again and believes the season is essentially over already since the 'Liverpool system' will win, no matter what! Oh, and did you know that Salah is emotionally detached since he is jealous of Mane? This one is a hoot! Enjoy.

Matt Garvey love’s working in the Apprenticeship sector and currently serves as Managing Director of West Berkshire Training Consortium.

Matt quotes “It’s fulfilling and rewarding providing the opportunity to enrich the lives of young people. I've been a company director since 2004 and also worked in the apprenticeship provider sector since 1999 for commercial providers, colleges and more recently the charitable sector. I believe that vocational training and apprenticeships are the future of our country and that young people learning on-the-job form the backbone of a workforce. Although I went to university I remember leaving as an unemployable prospect. Contrast this with the amazing investment an employer can realise through a quality apprenticeship programme. Therefore I am passionate about providing a first-class, innovative and value-added services. I can find no more rewarding experience than seeing a 16yo apprentice develop over 2-4 years into a successful young professional thanks, in part, to our support. Apprenticeships will be the primary vehicle for social mobility over the next 10 years transforming the futures of millions. My job is to make that happen in the context of a fast-moving economy, changing government priorities, new competitors and Ofsted. With success rates 18% higher than the national average, steady financial performance and Ofsted grade 2 (2017) I'm happy with my progress.....but so much more remains to be done”

Hampshire, UK-based Abandon Ship! are a nostalgic indie rock band with anthemic group vocals and catchy hooks. The band was born in 2017 when old friends Luke Burywood (Vocals/Guitar) and Jordan Baggs (Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals) reconnected in the hinterland of Basingstoke, England.

Drawn to the spit, grime and alternative music scene of now-defunct rock bar Sanctuary, the pair were soon to co-opt Martin Sylvester (ex-Mary Kelly) to drumming duties with Clayton Deakin (bass) completing the line-up.

Taking inspiration from the music and ambitions of Foals, The 1975 and Japanese House, while absorbing influences as diverse as Death Cab for Cutie, Sticky Fingers, American Football and PUP, Abandon Ship! are determined not to place limits around their emerging sound.

The band have been busy raising their profile at live dates throughout 2019; at Tramlines Fringe Festival where Noel Galligher headlined and most recently on tour alongside TUYS. Previously the band have provided support to Larkins, Milk Teeth and Muncie Girls in front of sold-out crowds.

Their songs draw on first and second-hand observations of the pleasures and disaffections of post-millennial Britain modern tales which oscillate in an emotional wasteland between swagger and self-doubt.

A self-produced de-but EP mastered by Robin Scmidt (The 1975, Everything Everything, Blur) will gradually come into focus by early 2020.

Whether the lyrics are using The Mezingers as inspiration to create the character Casey on Say The Word or having the realisations of coming to age on Wrong Again “so I’ll get my haircut and start using my first name”, two things are always present- real-world youthful observations whilst remaining fun and infectious.
