"A Rifleman never stops learning, a Rifleman never stops teaching. A Rifleman continuously seeks ways to to protect the freedoms and liberties the Founding Fathers left us, to improve himself, his home, his family, his community, his state and his nation, everyday of his life. A Rifleman adapts, a Rifleman overcomes and a Rifleman persists. This is not just some fancy gilded rhetoric we throw around like popcorn and pennies. This is the code we live by here. There is nothing wrong, no matter how often the mass of talking heads tells you it is wrong, or outdated, or corny, stupid and cavemanish, with having a code to live by in your life. Modern Americans have forgotten their code. They have forgotten how to be Americans. We are here to help them remember."-Scout

I'm sure that many of you have some things you would like to say, erhaps something left unsaid before that you want to express now.
Michael lovedthis show, let's make one last great episode.
About twice a year we will do a show where we go over the skills and techniques required to make the shot. Tonight will be one of those shows.
A refresher on using your sling during shooting. The shooting positions used by Riflemen, including steadu hold factors in the positions and how body geometry affects the shooter's position.
"Natural Point of Aim", what it is, how to aquire it and shift it on to your target.
Firing The Shot by the specific steps required to make the shot. Including the correct use of your sights and your relationship to them. How breathing affeccts the impact of the round on target, the physical and mental aspects of making the shot, trigger squeeze and what happens in the milliseconds after you squeeze the trigger. All of these things will affect the impact of the round downrange. These are not new or suddenly discovered steps, they have been figured out over the last 400 years of firearms use by Riflemen.
We will talk about the math of making the shot. Understanding the relationship between your sights, the impact of the round on the target and how to make corrections to your sights. The "black magic" of actually turning the buttons and knobs on your rifle.
We will also discuss the shooters cadence whiile firing the shot, and the idea of shutting out everything in your universe except yourself, your rifle and the taget when shooting.
The show welcomes callers and you can reach us by phone by dialing 347-308-8790
Look forward to seeing you there!

I want to talk about several of the battles that occurred in the month of May, during The American Revolutionary War. The Battle of Cedars, Megs Raid and The Battle of Waxhaws. These battles were part of the eight long years of The Ameican Revolutionary War. Only one, Meg's Raid was actually a successful battle given Patriot sucess status. The Cedars and Waxhaws were both British victories and both had serious ramifications for both sides.

We will cover a variety of subjects tonight. I want to talk about training in inclement weather, with gear on, wearing protective eye wear and gloves. All of the protective gear you need to wear can make a big difference in how you perform, and can men the difference between making it to the end of gh event or not. Catching a secondary projectile in your eye can be a complete game changer or ender.
Want to remind folks to be working on their preps as well. Even just adding small items, or remembering to store water frozen in your freezer, it all helps.

There has been a lot of discussion of late concerning what would happen if we had any type of an event which would cause local, state or federal government to go on high alert or actually shut down all, or portions, of our city, state or naation. We have seen a rash of "training" events lately and will undoubtedly see a lot more of them. The government is preparing for...something...and even if it is just an honest preparation for some event in the forseeable future, it is nonetheless disturbing and well worth taking the time to consider what you will do when and if something such as a nationl "State of Emergency" is declared.
Join us tonight to discuss what you can do to make sure you are preparing for events such as this and thnking about how you will respond to theem.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed December 14th, 2010 in Arizona's Peck Canyon by Mexican bandits carrying weapons illegally provided to them through Operation Fast and Furious. Kent Terry, Agent Brian Terry's brother, will be our guest to discuss the events surrounding the murder of Agent Terry and the situation which unfolded after the murder. How the investigation became less and less about finding out who did this, and why this happened, and more about making sure the folks involved in this fiasco were safeguarded.
The family has been respectfully silent for several years now as the case was being investigated by ATF and Justice, but are willing to discuss some of the details of the investigation at this time. You will not be happy with what you hear.

In the lead up tp the events of April 19th, 1775, there were a series of events which primed the pump of the American COlonists and allowed them to become very prepared for that first day of conflict. These events were known as "The Powder Alarms". Tonight we will discuss how they affected the colonists and how we are experiencing the same deadly "dance' with current government.

The American Revolutionary War did not start off out of the blue. It had been percolating for over 40 years, and can trace back it's roots almost 100 years. It began with the people's belief that they had the ability to govern them selves, and the governments belief that the people were there to submit to governmental rule.
We find ourselves more and more today, in the same dilema. The government feels it should be asked for permission, by the people, for every single thing they do. That there is no facet of American life that should not be controlled by the government. Government has grown soi arge that it over shadows everything we do every single day. Permits, licenses, fees, taxes, tens of thousands of laws on every imaginable issue.
Tonight we are going to talk about how the events of April 19th began starting just a year before. And see if you think that we are in a similar position today.

People are always asking me about what type firearms, or what forms of martial arts, are the best bet for self defense, but the most important and versatile tool you can use to defend yourself and your loved ones is already in your posession, it is attached right above your shoulders. You win 100% of the gunfights/fist fights/robberies/carjackings/kidknappings etc., that you never get involved in. 100% of the fights you run away from.
And most instructors I hear from tell their students to make sure they are practicing "Situational Awareness", paying attention to their color code system, or OODA loops, but a lot of the time never really go in to what that means or why it is important. Kind of like telling someone to make sure they are in a good supported position, executing the shot by the precise steps and following through, which will actually helpthem to make the shot, but not if they are not also explaining what that position is, or what the precise steps are.
Tonight we i
"What a beautiful day!, we should go to the range and do some shooting" And you should, but since the chances you will experience some form of inclement weather during rough situations, you should also try to make sure you understand how you and your firearm and additional gear funtion in rain, snow, ice heat etc. What you do, what your gear does when it is wet, iced over, too hot to touch.
Training during cold, wet, hot weather is never really that fun, but the things you learn about yourself, and your gear are invaluable to your ability to function competently during inclement weahter.

One of the secrets to a great garden is what you feed it. You control the garden's diet and what you get out of it is directly related to what you put into it. Composting is going to be a key ingredient to feeding your garden, keeping the soil alive and healthy, and making sure you are reusing the stuff that is coing out of the home rather than adding it to the refuse mountains growing around the nation.
We will also discuss "Hay Bale Gardening". This is the method of using bales of straw as containers to hold and grow your plants. When I first heard about this, I thought it was just kind of a lazy urban thing that was trending, but as I continue to study and learn about it, I find it is a really great way to add to your gardening skills for a good many reasons.
We always want to have you share your gardening, or any other skills oyu have, with the listeners. You can do this by calling in to 347-308-8790 and speaking with the call screener.

We had a great "Ghosts of Goliad" Fundamentals of Rifle course this last weekend with the Central Texas Militia. They did a great job and we hope to work with them again in the future. They are doing their best to insure they have thew rifle skills to defend their selves and their loved ones, and the State of Texas and The Constitution of The United States. They are continuing to improve their education and skill sets.
We had a 10 minute class on beer making, as well as short discussions of alternate power and about water storage and purification. These folks are trying to learn how to become more self reliant and better prepared to handle situations which might arise during man made or natural cessation of services events.
The folks in the III%ers/Grid Down Communication Course the weekend before were doing the same. Learning to communicte when the normal systems go down
What are you doing to insure you have the ability to feed, defend and care for your family, loved ones and neighbors in the coming year?

Thanksgiving is the time of the year when the harvests have been brought in, the year is drawing to a close for outside work, people would be putting away foods to take them through the winter, and folks would gather together and celebrate another year. What are the things you are happy and thankful for this year?

Sparks31 has been on the shsow previously to speak about the skills and techniques needed to initiate and maintain communications with the outside world, using your own equipment, FRS, CB and Ham Radios, during a "grid down" situation. He returns tonight to continue that discussion and to talk about what he will be teaching at the upcoming BattleRoadUSA Grid Down Communications course December 6th/7th, 2014 at our facilities in Central Texas.
Even if you are not planning on attending the course, this is information you will want to have in your work bag in the event all other means of communications are unavailable to you. In a natural or man made disaster, or any type of "grid down" situation, having the ability to determine what is going on the the rest of the world, outside your field of view, is an extremely important ability.
We will also discuss ways to use your communications systems as the basis for your intelligence program. Being able to listen to service providers, EMS, Sheriff's Dept, Police, etc., in your area can help you determine what is happening in your area of operations. Knowing that there is something going down in your area, or close to you can be very important in your home defense or community defense plan.

There is a lot of excitement after the elections yesterday. But this has happened before with Republicans taking control of the house and senate, and then.....nothing. They sat around and toasted each other on their success and said it was too hard to get anything done. We need to start tomorrow, repairing the damage done by ALL of the previous administrations. Having the ability to provide immediate first aid to yourself or others is an important aspect of individual and group self reliance. And the only way to really do this is to have some of the things you will need to provide that first aid on your person, in your vehicle, in your home or camp when the need arises. But what do you really need? if you could have an ambulance with you and all the gear that it would hold that would be great, but normally you will only have the ability to carry a few of the most needed and most likely to be used supplies. What should they be?
Caleb Causey is Head of Lone Star Medics here in Texas, and he and his sharp/dedicated crew have built a well respected company providing some of the best tactical and combat type medicine/first aid instruction in the state. Caleb will add his expertise and experience to the discussion tonight on what you really must have, what you can have and what would be nice to have in several different scenarios, for individual first aid kits (IFAK), group kits and medical bug out bags.
We will also be talking about some improvised first aid supplies you can get or use in cases where you can not get the stuff you should actually be using.

It is time for another assault on the Constitution. With Harry Reid pushing SJR19 back in May he has begun another effort to limit Political Freedom of Speech. Before the American War for Independence, colonists in America faced a very dangerous situation when speaking their minds about politictians. You could be arrested, beaten, imprisoned and even executed for saying even true things about government officials.
The First Amendment to The Constitution was meant to specifically protect political free speech. Flag Burning, suspending crosses in urine and shouting "Death To America!!!" are all simply happy bi-products of the 1st Amendment.
The McCain/Feingold Act, also known as the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, was the latest atempt at limiting The First Amendment. It never made it and instead, the companion legislation, H.R. 2356—introduced by Rep. Chris Shays (R-CT), is the version that became law. Shays–Meehan was originally introduced as H.R. 380.[3]
Now Senate Joint Resolution 19 will once again attempt to limit what type of political speech is allowed.
Join us tonight to discuss why this is bad and how this can be stopped.
We will also discuss the upcoming fundamentals of rifle marksmanship courses,
"The Ghosts of Goliad Project".
Two day rifle marksmanship courses designed to give you a rock solid understanding of the fundamentals of rifle marksmanshiip and at the same time, give you an understanding of what happend in Texas in 1835 to produce the War for Texas Independence and a new Republic. The course also runs hourly introductions to self reliance and prepping topics.

I get asked all the time about what firearms people should procure for end of the world situations. First off, as you know, I consider "the end of the world scenarios" to be the last type scenario you should be preparing for, but it just so happens that most of the weapons I would suggest for the end of the world will also work in all of the most common self defense situations most people will face.
And the first thing you should know is that everyone's situation is going to be a bit different and because of that, suggestions for self and home defense may well also be different. There is no one size fits all that is going to work for everyone.
If you live in a home 70 miles from anywhere and anyone in the wilds of Montanna, your needs and your situation is going to be different than a person living in an apartment in downtown Houston.
What you are going to have to consider as possible "threats" which will have to be overcome may well be much different as well. You will not have to worry about an 800 pound grizzly bear in downtown Houston (barring an earthquake releasing zoo animals), and the family in Montana is more than probably not going to be worrying about immediate hordes of looters trying to break down their doors.
Everyone has a different level and type of threat and everyone has different levels of experience and familiarity with firearms.
Tonight we are going to discuss where you need to start thinking about your own situation and preparing for it when deciding on what type of firearm might be most usefull to you and yours in most home and self defense situations.
Be sure and call in with your comments and suggestions at 347-308-8790

We are bombarded every day with news of rebels in Syria that must be "dealt with", rebels that we kind fo actually armed. Tonight we will discuss the current immigration problems facing America. What is happening along the borders of America and what we might face down the road from unchecked illegal immigration.
Mexico just signed a special agreement with several of the Central American countries giving them a special pass if they are heading towards America, fast tracking them to our borders.
The Obama administration helped create this by telling the folks in other countries that theey woud not turn away minors, and making it as easy as ossible for them to cross illegally, and now saying it is the fault of republicans because they will not do what Obama tells them to, so he will create special executive orders to "fix" the situation.
With illegal drug smuggling and the violence that goes with it, the already over burdened border patrol and immigration services, we now have the current massive wave of minor and unaccompanied children which is paralyzing the border.
We are in danger of not just a huge burden on our medical, economic, justice systems, but the immigrants are racing for the borders to take advantage of what they feel will be the next big amnesty wave.
These new illegal immigrants are now bringing with them diseases that have not been seen here in America for many years. Many of the so called "minors" are kids 18 years old who have been part of dangerous criminal gangs for years, including murderers, rapists and current illegal gang members.
What are we going to do to solve our illegal immigration problems in America?
We will also give you an update on the BattleRoadUSA training schedule for the rest of the year.

A lot of folks say we are at the end of an era. That we have run the nation, the world, the earth, into the dirt and into the last chapter of our current, modern history. There is talk of our own nation freezing up financially, of banks and Wall Street ruining us, of our nation degenerating into a civil war. Desperation, War, Chaos.
We have alwasy been on the edge of- something-, since the beginning of history
But that does not mean we should not be working to insure we are watching what is going on around us and trying to stay engaged with safeguarding the rights and freedoms of America.
There has been a huge push to overide our rights of privacy in this country with the NSA accessing everything we do electronically now. And almost everything we do today has an electronic componenet to it.
Our law enforcement agencies across the nation have become increasingly militarized and violence againt citizens is now commonplace.
Our senators and congressmen are all racking up criminal charges and unethical behaviour violations. They have become career politicians with no real understanding of what the lives of regular citizens are like and they live under special laws they have enacted or exempt themselves from the laws everyone else must live under. They vote for special medical care for themselves and their families while soldiers die on waiting lists at goverment hospitals and the rest of us are forced by law to become part of a government run socialized medical program. Though they are paid for their service, they vote them selves pensions so that once they have served a term, they can have a pension for life.
Who else can get away with such behavior? Not you or I. They have become so disc onnected from what it means to live in the real world, that they can no longer make good decisions about what is right and wrong.
I do not have the answers, I hope some of you do and you will share them tonight
Join me tonight to discuss the importance of running a good dry fire game on a regular basis. I have talked about this before, but I want to make sure I am reminding folks that the best way to keep your skills sharp is to make sure you are running a good dry fire game.

On September 1st, 1774, General Thomas Gage, Royal Governor of The Massachusetts Bay Colonies, responded to the protests of the Massachusetts Bay Colonists, who were upset by years of opression and the implementation of "The Intolerable Acts", by staging a raid to remove the gunpowder stored in a powder storage magazine.
Gage had been sent a note from William Brattle, the leader of the Provincial Miitia, that the colonists and towns had removed all of their powder, and all that was left ws the "Kings" powder. Gage decided to seize the powder from the magazine, near what is now Somerville, to keep it from falling into the hands of the militias.
The raid was a success for Gage in one way. He was able to seize the powder, as well as two field pieces from the neighboring town of Cambridge and returned with all of the powder and cannon to Boston. But what Gage did not realize was the effect the event would have on the colonists.
The raid galvanized the colonists in a way Gage had not expected. By the end of the day on the 2nd, there were reports of tens of thousands of armed colonisits heading for Boston. Intent on joining what they thought was a war in progress. Gage postponed an additional scheduled powder raid after this, but not for long. He began attempting to raid additional powder storage locations several more times, but because of intelligence gathering operations put in place by the colonists, Gage did not have another success with his raids, and eventually, the policy of powder raids lead to the events at Lexington and Concord.
Instead of deterring the colonists, General Gages raids were actually training the colonists in how to respond to the raids.
Join me tonight to discuss the Powder Raids and what effect they had on the colonists, and how they lead to the first battle of The American Revolutionary War.
Hope to see you there!

So many folks think that being prepared means you have to be prepared for anything and everything, all at once, or not at all. It is that all or nothing thing that kills most folks plans who are thinking about starting their preps. If you can do that great, but I like to think of it like being stranded out in the middle of nowhere, in a rental car (because if it were my own I would be in decent shape) and checking the car to see what you have with you that you can use, and finding a can of prok and beans and a cigarette lighter.
Wow! what a find! Just those two small things put you way ahead of the gamne right? Well, you can start doing that exact kind of thing, right now, today. You don't have to get everything at once and get tons of uit. Just get started.
And we will talk about some of the uses for the stuff you can start buying in bulk now. Remember, you don't have to wait for the end of the world to start using the stuff you are stocking up on now, in fact, you want to use it on a daily basis, you just need to make sure you are replacing it.
Tonight we wil talk about the things you can get started with, things on sale right now at your local super stores, things you can use to get you ahead of the game.

U.S. Army Col. Harry G. Riley, retired, who runs the Patriots for America website, and founder of the "Operation American Spring" event is my guest tonight. Colonel Riley has been in the news lately for the creation of an event, modeled on the 33 million Egyptians who stood up to their government and removed the Muslim Brotherhood officials from office, that hopes to bring possibly millions of Constitutional Patriots to the District of Columbia to protest the erosion and escalating disregard for our constitutional rights under the current, and former administrations, and it is his desire to see a good many of the current administration removed from office immediatly.
Col. Riley hopes for at least a million of the protesters to make a permanent camp in D.C. until the changes protestors are requesting are made.
We will get the details of the planned event, what Col. Riley hopes to accomplish with this event and how this will be different than other "million person marches", or the "occupy" movements from the last few years.
Also, while the event is planned as a peaceful and non violent movement, there has been talk of violence from other groups not associated with Operation American Spring who may be attending the event as well, and we will ask Col. Riley what effect that is having on the event.
Join us tonight live, 7:00PM Central Time and be sure to call in with any questions or comments you may have. The call in number is 347-308-8790

Tom Stalcup, Producer of the Epix Documentary "TWA Flight 800" and Hannk Hughes Lead NTSB Investigator for the TWA Flight 800 crash, will be my guest tonight.
TWA Flight 800 exploded in midair and crashed into the sea off the coast of Long Island, July 17, 1996 killing all of the crew and passengers. It was one of the deadliest airline crashes in American history. The official cause of the crash was listed as a "fuel tank vapor explosion", though no evidence was ever found to validate that determination.
This documentary is not a "conspiracy theory" film. It is a factual telling of the most documented government cover up that has ever been recorded. The folks testifying that they were coerced, lied to, kept from doing their jobs, forbidden to write reports or examine evidence and witnesses to the cover up are not crazy tin hats, they are the actual Federal NTSB investigators, FBI labratory supervisors, military pilots, and hundreds of honest American citizens who were actual eyewitnesses who have come out sixteen years later to recount their experiences on the day of the crash, and during the year long in investigation.
am sure this was not the first time Americans were ever lied to by the government, and will most certainly never be the last, but it might have been the first time the government realised they could get away with so much by controlling and manipulating the media and their own investigators, and it is most certainly the most detailed recording and witnessed cover up in our history.
I have never been a "conspiracy theorist" and am not one now. But this is not a conspiracy theory, it is simply a documentation of how evidence was destroyed, mishandled, witnesses were coerced and intimidated, ignored, and the American public was lied to.
I think you need to see the documentaty and listen to this interview
Jim Neighbors was not satisfied with the way mainstream media was covering stories and wanted a way to get information directly out to Americans, right in front of their faces in a way that would make it hard for them to ignore. As plainly written as possible. But how to do that?
Well, it seems that millions of people drive under overpasses on their way to and from anywhere and everywhere each and every day. If you were to stand on an overpass and hold up a sign, chances are the folks driving underneath it would look up and read what you had written on that sign. And guess what? They do!
Starting back in June of 2013 Jim started asking folks in each of the states to begin holding up signs on their local overpasses with messages like "Impeach Obama" on them and other signs with Benghazi, and any of the events mainstream media was not covering. Attempting to get folkjs to read the signs on the way home and then look up the information when they got home and read about it.
The idea has caught on very well with folks in almost all the states starting their own chapters of the org and holding signs on overpasses.
This is actually an easy way for folks to get out and get involved, to do something to help enlighten their fellow Americans.
Coming on April 24th, Tom Stalcup, Producer of the EPIX documentary "TWA Flight 800" and Hank Hughes, the lead NTSB investigfator for TWA Flight 800 crash investigation will be my guests. Tom Stalcup narrates the EPIX documentary as it discusses the most documented cover up of the causes and events surrounding one of the worst airline crashes in American history. Do not miss this show.
On May 1st, Colonel Harry Riley will be my guest to discuss The American Spring Project. Leading millions of Americans on a march in Washington DC to let our government know we are done with their disregard for The Constitution of These United States.
Hey Guys, a problem has come up with using the Appleseed Project message system to send out show reminders. While the show is the sole property of myself and is in no way affiliated with The Appleseed Project, we have been using their mail system to send out show reminders.

Several years ago Melanie Davis began interviewing veterans and collecting their stories in a project designed to preserve the stories of these individual veterans and their struggle to overcome the challenges of transitioning from the military to civillian life and many of whom did so with combat and service related injuries, including PTSD.
Melanie's project has been growing and spreading out and is taking her places where she can help American veterans with these transitions.
I floated a project to Appleseed a while back hoping we could find local charities to partner with so that we could give back to our communities locally. It did not go anywhere, but, that does not mean you can not get involved and help out in some way by supporting the people who are trying to help others.
Before big government took over the role of handing out money to charities and organizations who helped their fellow Americans, American citizens took care of everyone in the country on their own, and at a much better rate. We know what our local charities need and don't need. We are perfectly willing to help out with money, donations and physical and mental labor without anyone taking it out of our paychecks by force.
Listen to the show tomight and take a look at the work Mrs. Davis is doing and let it inspire you to help out in any way you can. Be it with LoveYourVeterans.org, or some other charity or support organization in your neighboprhood.

Last week we did a show about the recent event held by Appleseed in a Colorado school. And I think the subject matter was important enough that I am continuing with the message this week, following up on that story with a talk to some folks who are working on getting events such as the Colorado School Appleseed mainstreamed. Mary Schow is working on an project called Marksmanship in The Schools and she is going to tell us how we can help to get rifle marksmanship instruction re inserted in American schools.
We will also have Rachel Malone, Appleseed Shoot Boss and founder of Texas Firearms Freedom Project She will be talking about her path into shooting, into Appleseed and how she got started with the 2nd Amendment work she is doing to help Texans, and firearms owners everywhere in America, protect their 2nd Amendment rights.

Up until just a generation ago, rifle marksmanship programs were familiar features on school campuses in America. Millions of Americans learned to shoot at school programs taught in school basements, in school gyms and at ranges the schools took school children to as part of their school's marksmanship programs.
Then it started disappearing in the 60s, even more in the 70s. By the 80s it had almost vanished. Very few schools remain that have active rifle marksmanship programs. But, that is starting to change. And we can help change it.
When I was a kid, everyone I knew had firearms and did at least some type of shooting. Hunting, skeet, target practice and just plinking on evenings and weekends. Even all of the girls I knew growing up knew how to shoot. Now, I live rurally, and of the kids living out rurally today, very few have had any kind of experience, introduction or instruction in firearms and shooting. I imagine the kids in cities have had even less.
This poses a very real problem for the future of our 2nd Amendment rights. When these millions of kids, who have never had any involvement in the shooting sports industry become of voting age, they will have no dog in this hunt. To them, having the right to posses or use a firearm means nothing. They have never owned a firearm, never experienced shooting, so what would they miss? Getting rifle marksmanship into the Schools should be a priority for Americans who are concerned about the direction the erosion of our 2A rights has been taking. We should be pushing for a very up front and aggressive educational program for rifle marksmanship in our schools.
Jim and Kim Heath, two of the Appleseed Project volunteers have been doing just that and they will be on the show tonight to tell us how to go about getting rifle marksmanship programs into our schools.
You can add your voice to the discussion by calling 347-308-8790

Hannibal ad portas, Hannibal is at the gates, Roman parents would tell their misbehaving children this, invoking their fear of Hannibal. We need to be doing the same thing now. Hannibal it seems, is at the gates again.
With the current push for gun consfication in Connecticut, we are entering into a very dangerous area. With almost 80% of the states firearm owners refusing to register their firearms and risking having the state start going door to door and confiscating folks arms the state is on the verge of a serious and dangerous situation.
Anti gunners yell about pro gun folks resistence to registering their firearms, but this is the exact scenario 2A folks fear. I would like to hear from listeners about their opinions of the current situation in Connecticut.

Fernando Aguirre, also known as "FerFal" has become somewhat a legend in the Prepping/Survival communities among folks who have read about his troubles and experiences there while he and his family lived through the economic and financial collapse which occurred in Argentina during the depression there in 1998-2002.
Many Americans have never heard of the Argentinian Collapse, and some of the others who have think that Argentina was some kind of third world country and that an event like that could never happen in America.
However, though Argentina has been suffering through a 60 year cycle of financial and economic ups and downs, with vast natural resources, wealth, science and culture, it is far from being a third world country. And if it can happen in Argentina, it can happen anywhere.
Listen to FerFal recount what lead up to Argentina's collapse, what he and his family had to do to survive, while thousands of other Argentinians perished and cities burned. With America printing money as fast as we an spend it and our government leading us into a financial tornado, this could well be a future we may soon experience.
The show tonight will be prerecorded since I am having to straddle a six hour time span between Texas and London, so I won't be able to take calls tonight
To learn more about Ferfal's experiences in Argentina and his advice on how to prepare for any type of natural or man made disasters, you can purchase his book for Amazon here- http://www.amazon.com/The-Modern-Survival-Manual-Surviving/dp/9870563457 and read more on survival and prepping on FerFal's Blog at http://ferfal.blogspot.com/

We have a ton of chores we need to keep up with as Appleseed folks pushing the mission, promotions, finding new locations close to populated areas, keeping our own training up to standards, learning new skills and teaching techniques, becoming better story tellers, trying to schedule Liberty Seeds and on and on. But one of the most important jobs we will do for Appleseed is to recruit new instructors to help carry the load.
I have tried everything I know to make this a success locally and nationally and I could sure use your help in insuring we are doing everything possible to grow our ranks and add new instructors to the Appleseed Instructor Crews.
Call in tonight with your ideas and suggestions at 347-308-8790
We will also discuss getting everything ready for planting your spring crops, what to plant, and why your preps should be on a regular schedule.
I have been having a bit of trouble with the current email system for the show so I am including a sign up link for a dedicated email service which should do a better job of sending out emails and where you can sign up for additional information on upcoming Appleseed events, BattleRoad events and prepping news and info. Broadening your perspective, to make good preparation choices.
Survival isn't good enough, we want to thrive.
We have covered the battles of Princeton and Trenton before on the show, but I do not think they can be discussed enough. The hardships the Colonials endured and the strength and courage it took to not only to fight in this horrible weather, but just to endure it. No food, little or no clothes or supplies for cold weather. Men marching through the days and night without sleep or in many cases without shoes on their feet.
We will also talk about the Forage Wars, and what they meant to the men and women on both sides of the battles.
Join me tonight to see how the men who stood together in ranks pushed themselves to make a stand during the hardest days in the American Revolutionary War, and think about how you would fare in those conditions.
Hope to see you there!

We have covered fire before on the show and it is time to go over it again as well as making sure you are working on your first aaid program. When I talk with folks about their fire skills, I will hear people all the time tell me they have flint and steel or fire sticks or bow kits, but when I ask them about the last time they started a fire with them, I get a glassy eyed look and a "not in a while" answer.
Fire making skills are like rifle skills. They perish and erode without use and practice.
We will also discuss your first aid program. To make sure you are prepared for an event requiring first aid skills you need to be constantly working on your first aid skills and improving your gear.
We will also talk about adding new Appleseed ranges to your area. This is something we need to be working on constantly in order to broaden our coverage and to make it easier for folks to decide to join up as instructors.

We have spoken many times about the importance of creating and running a dry fire game in order to help you build your rifle marksmanship skills and to maintain them over the year in between visits to the rifle range.
Your dry fire game is very important because it does not require you to visit a rifle range in order to work on your skills and techniques, requires no live ammunition or a sunny warm day and is something which can be done on a regular basis at home.
In addition we will be talking again tonight about making sure you are working on your water preps. Water is one of the key pillars of survival. You may survive for a month without food, might, but without water you can perish within days. Making sure you have considered this and are figuring out what to you have to do to insure you have water for yourself and your family is an important part of your prep.

After along hiatus off the air, I felt compelled to speak to you.
When we were a young nation, with no financial capital and minimal government, we still needed to provide the minimum essential services to keep people safe and secure in their posessions. We had no "tax base" and no government to speak of. We did it through Voluntary Association.
As Alexis de Toqueville wrote it"
"Americans of all ages, all conditions, all minds constantly unite. Not only do they have commercial and industrial associations in which all take part, but they also have a thousand other kinds: religious, moral, grave, futile, very general and very particular, immense and very small; Americans use associations to give fêtes, to found seminaries, to build inns, to raise churches, to distribute books, to send missionaries to the antipodes; in this manner they create hospitals, prisons, schools. ...... Everywhere that, at the head of a new undertaking, you see the government in France and a great lord in England, count on it that you will perceive an association in the United States.

Government has always been a corrupt entity. Ever since the first group of less hairy apes banded together for mutual defense and support, and one of the biggest, and most scheming apes elected itself leader, there has been corruption, favoritism, nepotism and just downright thuggery.
America is no different. We ran a good game for a little while, being a brand new entity, but we have been working on getting dirty for a long time and we have been spiraling down into corruption and spoil at breakneck speed for the last two decades.
It seems there is nothing that our government will not do now, from lying and stealing to murdering it's own citizens, individually, and by the plane, helicopter and compound full. Government has become so large and powerful and so contempt-full of the people it governs that it has become completely careless and sloppy at covering up the lies and thefts and murders now. Our leaders go on TV and just tell us that we can not believe what we see or hear. That because they say the sky is green, we should just swallow it whole without questioning them. In fact, they get indignant about our questions and have made it common practice to go after folks who shine too much light on the lies the government deals out to us. In some cases, who knows really how many, shining a light on the governments lies has caused the shiners death.
So what can we do about it? My grandfather told me once when we were cleaning out the chicken coop, that sometimes the coop gets so nasty and infested with vermin, that there is no good solution for the mess. The only thing that can be done is to get a can of kerosine, some newspaper and a match. That may be the point we are at now. Maybe we need a big can of kerosine and a big match.
Call in tonight and tell me what you think the solution could be 347-308-8790

In 1988 Richard Mack left a job he loved to move home to AZ to run for Graham County sheriff. Nobody thought he could win, as he had never been a cop in Arizona or in his hometown and he hadn’t even lived there for nearly 12 years. He won. Then he ran for re-election in 1992. He won again.
Soon thereafter, the Brady bill was signed into law by Bill Clinton. Three federal agents showed up at his AZ Sheriffs Association meeting and handed each of them a document from the Dept. of the Treasury, which detailed what their “orders” were to comply with the Brady bill.
All the sheriffs were shocked and against it. However, each sheriff said there was nothing they could do about it, “you can’t fight city hall” was the frequent comment. Sheriff Mack disagreed and decided to sue the government. Everybody said he was crazy and that he could not win. Six other sheriffs from various parts of the USA joined the lawsuit. The case went all the way to the U S Supreme Court and miracle of miracles, Sheriff Mack WON! That is why there is no "Brady II", "Brady III" etc., because they were all set up and ready to run. Sheriff Mack ended that run of constitutional rights grabbing.
Next time some one asks you, or you ask yourself, "what can one person do?", this is a good example.
Listen to the show tonight to find out what you can do to help keep your county sheriff the highest legal authority in your county. See you there!

How did we get in this mess? Looking at the scandals of Washington and almost every other city in America, the Obamacare fiasco, the corruption plaguing our city, state and federal governments, the endless wars we have managed to get wrapped up in and the looming financial disaster facing the nation. We can only keep fooling ourselves that the money is going to show up and everything is going to be ok for only so long. At some point the bill is going to come due and no amount of printing ink over at the treasury dept. is going to fix it.
How are we we going to fix this?

Join me tonight to talk about several topics of interest to The Rifleman as a Prepared Leader Series. We will discuss the importance of having good negotiating skills in crisis situations. How the skills of tracking is one you can not afford to be without. And we will discuss picking what to grow in your garden including a list of about a dozen very easy vegetables to start with.
We will also talk about sprouting seeds for the table and the benefits of eating sprouts. And finally we will talk about how to keep things moving with Appleseed during the ammo crunch. You can do Library Seeds, trade shows, all of the stuff you would normally do to keep the program in folks minds. Don't let the low numbers get you down, keep the faith, keep spreading the word. The ammo shortage is about to run it's course and we will be back in business soon.
Join me tonight as I continue our ongoing discussion of The Rifleman as a self reliant family and community leader. Tonight we will talk about gardening, seeds, hugelculture and a lot more. We will also cover some of the items you can begin putting away now as barter goods. And, we will talk about Appleseed promotions a little more as we ran out of time last week. The show ruuns 7:00-9:00PM CST and the call in number is 347-308-8790. See you there! -Scout
Join me tonight to discuss the need for considering shelter in your prep. Shelter is imperative to your survival, and shelter is not just a house. You can take shelter with you on the road or create it out of your surroundings in the wild. Whatever creates a barrier between you and the elements is considered shelter.
We will also talk about the events in Colorado this last week. The recall and ouster of two Colorado Senators was brought about by Colorado citizens who were angered over the senators restrictive gun control laws which they felt had been rammed down their throats by unresponsive lawmakers.
We can certainly take a cue from their play book and continue to remove lawmakers that refuse to listen to their constituents. Even better, the whole idea behind Appleseed is to get folks to understand they can prevent this from happening in the first place by organizing and preventing such lawmakers to be elected.
I invite any of the Colorado citizens to call in to comment on the recall.
Join us tonight 7:00PM CST and feel free to call in with any comments or questions 347-308-8790 Hope to see you there! -Scout
Join me tonight for discussion of fire starting, devices, techniques, tinder and building. Plus information on emergency lighting options available for power down situations.
We will also cover Liberty Seeds in more depth. Last week I realized I had just skimmed right by them, so please call in with your reports on Liberty Seeds you have run.
Finally, we will touch base on the events that seem to be leading us to a conflict in Syria. What is happening there, why this is happening and what we can try to do about it.
We welcome your phone calls so that you can be a part of the show. The call in number is 347-308-8790
Hope to see you there!

We have several things to discuss tonight. As water is the most important part of your preps, you need to make sure you have safe clean water you can drink. In a down grid situation, no water is safe to drink unless you yourself have purified it or it came from an unopened bottle of water. You need to be able to use any of several methods and usually combining methods to insure water purity. Also want to discuss The Appleseed "Liberty Seed" program, and the "Appleseed Neighborhood" program. With ammunition still hard to find, and expensive for a lot of folks, these two programs allow us to get out the same Appleseed message we talk to folks about at shooting Appleseeds. And I want to talk to folks about the recent documentary covering the TWA Flight 800 downing. Fifteen years after the TWA aircraft was mysteriously brought down in the Atlantic, folks are breaking their silence about the event. Government investigators, eyewitnesses, former U.S. Government Agents/employees are telling their stories of FBI falsifying information, destroying evidence (on camera) intimidating witnesses and lying over and over to senate investigators. All to protect who? To cover up What? Why? I bring this up not to simply draw attention to this one specific event, but because this has become the norm for our government. Our government holds it's citizens in such disgusting contempt that it lies in bold face font, completely sloppy and incompetent lies, they do not care if you believe them or not, because they are the government. What are YOU going to do about it? What can we do about it? The government seems to have hit upon a smashing tactic of dosing the public with mass multiple scandals since it has learned that if they just pile them up, there is no way anyone will take them seriously. We have to fix this. Hope to see you there! -Scout
Tonight we will discuss the first set of fundamentals for firing the shot. Executing the shot by The Six Steps. How to do this in your dry fire game, at the range and how to use Target Analysis to help diagnose and correct common shooting problems.
I also want to discuss the importance of folks beginning their medical preps now. This can be something that can take a while and have some cost to it, so the time to start is now and integrate it into your weekly prep schedule.
Insuring that if you have to take prescription medication you are acquiring a stockpile of it now and rotating through your stock during your consumption of the medicine. Starting to stockpile bandages and all of the other first aid gear you may need to keep you well now, so that you have it on hand in the event of a natural or man made disaster or cessation of services.
Hope to see you there!

If you have made the decision to integrate a firearm into your home/personal defense plan, that is great. But what type of firearm are you going to need? What are the specific questions you need to ask yourself before deciding on a firearm? And what impact does bringing a firearm into your home and keeping it available to you have on your home, family, guests?
We touched on this a couple of weeks ago but I want to talk more about it tonight, as well as talk to folks about making sure you are staying on top of your "Dry Fire Game".
Your dry fire game is not just aligning your sights and then holding them on the target while you squeeze the trigger. It covers every single thing you would do with the firearm except loading live rounds and firing it.
My definition of a good dry fire game includes every thing you will do with the firearm in your hands. From retrieving it from its station or drawing it-to putting it back in the holster or returning it to station. Including sights, sighting and trigger squeeze, failures and stoppages, practicing magazine changes, reloading cylinders or single loading rifles, using your firearm and working the mechanical operations of it one handed, off handed, laying down, kneeling, on your back etc., movement techniques with the firearm in your home.
Every single thing you can possibly imagine yourself doing with your personal defense firearm. Running through these tasks in your mind and then performing them physically on a regular basis. Imagining scenarios or acting them out and making decisions about what you will do and how you will respond to as many situations as you can, before you have to make those decisions.
Be sure and call in with your suggestions and ideas for a home/personal defense firearm and why you would use it or suggest it, and what you would suggest for others to use. Hope to see you here! -Scout
Join us tonight as we take a break from The Prepared Rifleman Series to bring you a discussion of The American Revolutionary War Battles of August, with special focus on The Battle of Long Island, also known as The Battle of Brooklyn.
This was the first battle fought after America declared itself independent in July of 1776. It was the first major battle for the newly formed Continental Army, and was a stunning dose of harsh reality when American forces were severely defeated on the fields of Brooklyn by a larger and more experienced British Army.
Until this point the battles had been fought largely by the states militias and were for the most part successful battles for the Americans.
However, The Battle of Brooklyn signaled the first in a long line of crushing defeats, forcing Washington and the Continental Army farther and farther west in retreat until they were pushed across the Hudson River during the winter of 1776.
It is also a story that shows the beginning of Washington's resilience and his ability to pull off a stunning escape in the middle of a British victory,(which he would do several times during the war) saving what was left of the new Continental Army so that it could continue to fight during the coming year.
Join us as we retell a fast paced and very important battle in America's history. We will also cover as many other American Revolutionary War "Battles of August" as time permits during the show.
Hope to see you there!

As part of our series on The Rifleman being prepared, we discuss issues of personal safety tonight.
When folks talk about personal safety in relation to self reliance, prepping and security, they think about buying guns and ammunition, or how they would guard their homes and supplies, or set up perimeter watches and guard duties.
But you do not need any kind of natural or man made disaster to put you in peril. People's everyday lives are already dangerous enough and we are under threat of criminal activities and other personal safety concerns we might face without any kind of disaster situation required to facilitate it. Every day we run the gauntlet of robbery, burglary, assault, car theft and car jacking, murder and a myriad of of other personal safety issues. You need to make sure you are doing all you can on an everyday basis to insure your personal safety and the safety of your loved ones.
This is really not that hard to do if you will take a look at your life to assess your risks and decide what practices you can put in place in your every day life to increase your odds of day to day survival.
From small simple things like locking your doors the minute you enter your home, car, hotel room or office, to filtering the water you drink at home or on the road through simple home/portable filtration devices to remove heavy metals like lead and mercury and other toxins such as arsenic and other toxins to limiting or eliminating dangerous behaviors, you can start stacking the odds for survival in your favor immediately.
You can call in to the show at 347-308-8790 and answer the call screeners questions off the air.
Join us tonight 7:00PM CST
Hope to see you there!

When someone says the word "Survivalist" it conjures images of a rugged individual, going it alone against all odds and struggling towards a difficult victory. Merriam's says it is- a person who advocates or practices survival-ism, especially : one who has prepared to survive in the anarchy of an anticipated breakdown of society.
All of these definitions and visions of survivalists are very misleading though because they leave out the most important part of surviving any type of man made or natural disaster. And that is, the rest of their group. The other members of the group of folks who through their combined efforts, will successfully survive and event, because no one makes it through these things alone. We will also be speaking with Stewart Rhodes, Founder of Oath Keepers about the upcoming event they are sponsoring in Bayview Idaho this coming weekend where folks will most certainly be talking abuot working together to insure their survival. Oath Keepers Summer Gathering at Annual North West Patriots and Preparedness Rally, July 26-28
Join us tonight as we discuss the importance of working with other members of your family and community to get through rough times.

The Prepared Rifleman and firearms for emergency and survival situations. Well here it is guys, the part of prepping and survival everyone usually starts with first and that everyone thinks is the sexy part of survival.
What firearms might benefit you best in certain situations and why. What you should think about having on hand in the way of ammunition, fixed and folding blades, hatchets and axes and many other items that might help increase your odds for survival and why.
The philosophy behind firearms(and other survival tools that have defensive capabilities) and emergency/survival situations. How every situation is not an end of the world scenario and the choices you make might could get you into hot water.
I would like folks to call in and tell me what their opinions are for the survival firearms they have chosen or would choose and share their ideas with the rest of the listeners.
You can call in at 347-308-8790 and follow the recorded instructions and then answer the call screener off the air. Hope to see you guys here! -Scout
Join me tonight 7:00PM CST as we discus the Prepared Riflemen making sure that they have food in emergency situations. We will also discuss the way this can be expanded to your every day life and make you a more free and prepared individual by carrying this over into non emergencies and making it part of your every day living plan for yourself, your family and your community. We will have a rough overview of food and food storage tonight and I will follow it up with several more detailed and specific shows in the coming weeks. Be sure and go to the blog page at http://riflemanradio.blogspot.com/ for more information after the show airs. Hope to see everyone here! -Scout
"Bugging in", which is the opposite of "Bugging Out", or running away, is a term used to describe the act of remaining in place during a man made or natural disaster. This is the reccomended procedure for all but a few of the situations individuals might face during natural or man made disasters. Remaining in your home is a pretty logical decision right? You have all your stuff at your home, you are familiar with the location and maybe have friends or neighbors nearbby who might be able to help in a difficult situation. But even though bugging in might be a lot safer and a better choice for caring for yourself and your family if you are caught in a disaster or cessation of services situation, there is still a great deal you can do to tip the odds in your favor for surviving in place. Hope to see you there! -Scout
Hey guys, tonight's show will cover the general aspects of "bugging out", the terminology for getting out of the area where you happen to be, either living or visiting, when an event occurs. The show will start a bit later tonight, 8:00PM CST as I have prior committment which has me getting home later than usual. I hope to see you all there! -Scout
Richard Duarte is a Miami attorney with over twenty years of experience in the legal arena. In 1992, he and his family were living in South Florida when Hurricane Andrew, a category five, and one of the most powerful hurricanes to ever come ashore in America made landfall. Richard hunkered down in his bathroom with his young family weathering the terrifying storm as it destroyed his home and his neighborhood, as well as a great deal of southern Florida. He came out of his destroyed home the next day to find all utilities gone, looters running rampant and no responders, aide or supplies to care for himself and his family.
This was a life changing event for Richard. He had never given much if any, thought to being prepared or to self reliance/survival, but after the storm he decided to he would never be unprepared for an event such as this, or any other disaster, natural or man made, that might threaten him or his family again. He would teach himself how to survive. When Richard first started learning about survival, there was really not much information available to folks. You had to really dig to find information or learn it yourself. Over the last twenty years Richard has become thoroughly educated on surviving disasters, natural or man made, in urban environments. He has been sharing this information with others in the form of a book he authored, "Surviving Doomsday, a Guide for Surviving Urban Disasters" and in speaking engagements where he is a highly sought after speaker on this topic.
Join us tonight, with pencil and notebook on your table and listen to Richard as he gives you the benefit of his twenty years of study of this subject. As I told you in last weeks broadcast. You do not have to wait until you can afford to do everything at once. Start preparing right now, and listening to this episode with Richard Duarte is going to give you a fast leg up . Scout
Shooting a Rifleman's score on the AQT is something an individual does on their own, no one can shoot your target for you. It is just you, your rifle and the target. Shooting a 210 or above will get you a patch, but it is not the end of your journey by any means. Being a Rifleman is more than shooting a 210 or above on the Appleseed Projects Army Qualification Test. Being a Rifleman means doing everything you can to improve your situation and your abilities to provide for your family, your community, your state and your nation. It starts with a man alone, but it ends with a man standing with his family, his community and his nation. A lot of folks believe that they can hunker down alone, or bug out on their own ahead of an event and save themselves, in a kind of lone wolf or Rambo style. But even if they could, it is not enough that you make it safe through these events by yourself as an individual, you need to be in a good enough position that once you yourself have made it through safely, you can then guide your family and your community by providing leadership and support to those around you in your community. But first, it starts with you. Can you provide for your self and then your family in the event of an emergency? If the roads get iced over this fall for three days, if a tornado visits your community, have you done all you can to insure your own and your family's safety? And what about your community? I will be running a series of programs in the next few months, bringing on guests and covering topics that will help you improve your ability to survive natural and man made disasters and cessation of services situations. Tonight we will begin with an introduction to these skills and ideas. From finding and making water safe, to doing what you can now to start storing food for you and your family. Hope to see you there! -Scout
Tonight we discuss the problems plaguing the Texas and Mexico Border. Texas shares the longest border, of any of America's states, with another country.
Wayne Thompson has been a Law Enforcement Officer for over ten years in a small Texas town. Before that he worked providing security for South Texas oil field. He has been studying and speaking about the problems with the Texas Mexico border for many years and he will share his thoughts and experiences with us tonight. We will also have callers from our Texas Mexico border area.
There are over 1,200 miles of border that Texas shares with Mexico. There are 20 legal crossings from Mexico into Texas, but there are thousands of illegal crossings of the Texas Mexico border every day.
These illegal crossing have caused tremendous damage to our nation economically, politically, socially and financially. The problems are especially relevant to our border states. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
The illegal trafficking of humans, drugs and almost anything else you can imagine causes billions of dollars in damage to America and our citizens.
The Mexican Drug Cartels are so wealthy they hand out bribes to all of Mexico's officials and corruption is a way of life there. And if corruption and bribes do not work, the cartel's thousands of well armed street soldiers publicly kill and terrorize anyone who stands in their way.
Americans were outraged when the journalist Nick Berg was beheaded on video and there were calls for war. In Mexico, people's heads are cut off all of the time. One of the cartels had a truckload of heads dumped in the middle of the freeway during rush hour to make a point.
You can call in at 347-308-8790 and follow the call screeners directions to get on the air with your questions or comments.
I hope to see everyone there!

Tonight we discuss The Battle of Oriskany again, and also The Battle of Waxhaws, where the phrase Tarleton's Quarter originated. I know we have discussed The Battle of Oriskany a couple of times before, but it is an important battle in our history, ad one of my favorites.
For the last 27 years, Jan Morgan has been an investigative journalist and TV news anchor and reporter, working with The Associated Press and winning a great many awards for her work along the way. Along with her journalism and investigative skills skills, she is now a successful documentary maker, she hosts a television show and she is a tireless blogger and author, using her considerable skills in journalism and investigative reporting to shine the spotlight on the current attack on conservative values, and on our nations rights and freedoms. Ms. Morgan has done a great deal of work lately on 2nd Amendment issues and I have asked her to come on the show tonight to discuss the reasons why she believes the current attack on American gun rights is underway. With the gun homicide rate in America at almost 100 year lows, why now? What is the target the anti gunners are aiming at for the end of their anti gun push,( it can't just be a disarmed America) and the things we can all do to help defend the rights and freedoms that we enjoy by virtue of living in this nation. I hope to see you all there! Michael Adam Rifleman Radio
Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy are two of my favorite people in the self reliance/prepping media. They have been doing high quality shows on medicine, first aid, essential herbs and gardening, as well as slipping a thousand other parcels of important information on becoming self reliant, into the excellent string of shows they have done over the last three years. This coming week on Rifleman Radio they will be discussing methods of "Collapse Medicine", which is how you can start thinking about first aid and treating injuries and illnesses to yourself and your loved ones in the event of any kind of cessation of services situation. Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy have a weekly radio show that I would like you guys to start listening to. It is one of the best ways I know to spend a couple of hours every week makiing sure you are doing all you can to educate yourself and become more prepared to care for yourselves and your loved ones. -Scout
Join us tonight live at 7:00PM Central for discussion of the NRA Convention that The Appleseed Project representatives attended this last weekend in Houston Texas. We had a great time speaking with reps from across the nation and gettting the word out about Appleseed. We want to tell you what we had hoped to accomplish, what we did acccomplish and what we are planning for next year.
Join me tonight on The Rifleman Radio Show where I will be discussing the Siege of Boston and the occupation of Dorchester Heights which ended the siege a year later.
We will also be taking after action reports from some of the folks who ran over 100 April 19th, 1775 Patriot's Day Appleseed Project events across the nation last weekend. Join us live at 7:00PM Central The call in number is 347-308-8790 See you there! -Scout
Tonight we are going to talk about the events leading up to the battles of Lexington and Concord and how the Colonists were preparing for possible conflict with the British Regulars. We will also have the guys and girls from the BattleRoadUSA Precision Rifle/Sniper course that just ended last week on to discuss the course.
Writer, Director and Producer Charles Wiedman will be our guest tonight on Rifleman Radio, live, 7:00PM CST.
Mr. Wiedman's movie company, "RuffHouse Studios" has recently finished filming "The Sinner", a 46 minute rough and tumble, faith based film that follows a cigar smoking, tequila drinking, fist fighting protagonist named Fisher Rood who is on a mission to tear down Satan's kingdom one lost soul at a time while dispensing Old Testament style justice and outrunning the agents of an evil global organization.
Sounds good right? It is. Wiedman was determined to reinvent the faith based genre with THE SINNER, explaining "I set out to create a positive spiritual picture in a very rough, 'Highway to Heaven' meets 'High Plains Drifter' kiind of way. I wanted to make it a tough, cool and accessible to everyone, not just for the faith based choir. I didn't want my protagonist to be an all-knowing angel or a preacher or even a good guy. I wanted him to be a sinner himself.
THE SINNER was filmed locally in Austin Texas with a good crew of local talent and even has Alex Jones in the cast. Join us tonight to discuss THE SINNER with director Charles Wiedman and to find out what we can do to help push faith based films back into the mainstream. See you there! -Scout
Most of you know actor Adam Baldwin from the great body of work he has done in the movie industry over the last 30 plus years. He started out as "Linderman" in "My Bodyguard" in the early eighties and went on to "Animal Mother" in Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket", appeared as the Tory Captain in"The Patriot" with Mel Gibson and then on to "Serenity" and "Firefly" as Jayne Cobb, Major Mitchell in "Independence Day" and has done about two movies or television shows a year for the past thirty years. He has done over 100 movies and television shows as well as doing voices for a great many animated television programs and he is the voice of several video games like "HALO" and "Half-Life".
While most folks think of Hollywood as being a hot bed of leftist thought and work, there are some few folks in LA that are conservative voices and Adam Baldwin is one of them. Mr. Baldwin keeps a close watch on current events and is a constitutional voice in a world peopled with Obama worshipers.
Join us tonight for a discussion of his career and for talk about the nation's current events.

Michael Bane, Executive Producer and Talent for The DownRange TV production "Shooting Gallery" and I began talking about doing an episode dedicated to Appleseed back in 2006. Michael has been an ardent supporter of Appleseed and the Appleseed Mission since the beginning of our organization. Michael and I did an episode together on his radio show back then and we have been talking about doing a TV show about Appleseed ever since but nothing could be worked out for several years. Well, it finally got on the schedule and Michael and his crew filmed it. It aired 02/20/13 on The Outdoor Channel. I watched this episode and I think that the folks in Colorado, Jim and Kim Heath and all of the instructors featured in the episode were about as professional as you can get. I might be biased, but I think it is one of the best Shooting Galleries aired so far. Jim and Kim will be on the show tonight to talk about the filming and about how they think it hashelped to fill the lines in Colorado and with over a million viewers, how it is helping to introduce and mainstream Appleseed to millions of Americans in the shooting sports. We also discuss the continued ammunition shortage and what we can do to fill the lines until there is a break in the situation and the supply catches up to the demand. Hope to see you there! -Scout
"Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them " That is where we are now. We should not be lamenting the current problems in America with the attack on gun owners and their rights. We should be happy that is being dragged into an open conflict. All of the years of worrying about what our government might try to do to us can be forgotten now that they are doing it and we can now gear up and ready ourselves for the fight ahead. Revel in the coming battle and make sure you have a front seat place in it by doing something to make sure our rights and freedoms are protected. Make sure that is who you are and what you are doing, takiing a front line stance in the battle for the rights of Americans to live their lives under the freedoms given to us by a higher power and listed in the Constitution. See you Thursday night at 7:00PM CST
A discussion of where we are today, and how we can improve the nations situation peacefully but forcefully
Are we already in a Zombie Apocalypse? Are those folks shuffling through their lives with drool draining from their lips already dead, or maybe just sleepwalking. Look around you and see how many people are aware of what is going on aroung them. It seems like more and more people are just going through the motions, or performing the acts of their lives like somnambulists. Sleepwalking through their lives. How can we wake them up?
We are in a very dangerous time period at this point in our history. Americans are so ready to argue and fight and curse and scream, tear each other up and set each other on fire right now that it seems like we are right on the edge of a critical point of massive implosion. Race and politics and morality are all in a whirlwind of ignorance and malevolence.
There is usually no middle ground and the two sides have become so polarized now that no one is going to walk out and meet in the middle anyway. And even if they were, where has the "middle" migrated to? It seems like it has moved so far to the left of our spectrum politically, economically, morally and culturally, that if the distance between the two sides were compared to a highway, the middle would now be on the opposing lanes far edge of the shoulder.
How and why has this happened? I believe the answer has a great deal to do with the media's poisoning of, and the overrunning of our nation with misinformation and down right lies. The information overload of today's society that allows this and the ignorance on the part of the very same media, and of Americans in general. The media has very few, if any, scruples left and a great deal of the folks listening to them are ignorant and lazy and apparently perfectly willing to be bottle fed the poisonous pablum fed to them by the media rather than seek out the real truth for them selves.
What are we going to do? It seems like we are running a race with a train trying to make it to the crossing before it runs us over. Are we going to make it? I do not know. Do you? What do you think we can do as our part on our own everyday level?
Many of you have heard of Stewart Rhodes. If you have been in Appleseed long enough, you remember Stewart as a member of Appleseed, and as the author of the SWAT Magazine article that we still use for promotions.
And most of you have heard of The Oathkeepers by now, but for those of you who have not, they are an organization dedicated to insuring that the men and women who serve in our armed forces, enforce laws on our streets, fight fires across America, and anyone who has ever served in the armed forces, all remember that they have sworn to do their duties under the guidelines of our nations Constitution. That the rights, enumerated in our Constitution, but given to us by a higher power than man, are the rights of all Americans and are to be remembered when they/we are given orders to carry out.
Join us tonight as we discuss Oathkeepers with Stewart and find out what "Keeping Your Oath" means.
Hey Guys, Beth Schoenberg, who was with The Derry Brownfield Show, and now on her own doing "Common Sense Coalition" Rado is our guest tonight. Beth has been on the show before and she has called in to the show on occasion. She has always been a great guest and she is always welcome here. Beth has been an advocate of The Appleseed Project since our beginning and she has talked about and pushed Appleseed and had Appleseed Reps on her show when she was with Derry Brownfield, helping to push the project. Beth is a vast whirlwind/mountain of knowledge and an intense advocate of all of the rights, not guranteeed by, but simply annotated, in the constitution. I hope you will join us tonight as we discuss current events concerning the 2nd Amendment and other topics of interest related to thhese items. -Scout
Dr. Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen, author, forager and edible wild, (and some not so wild) plant expert joins us tonight to discuss foraging for edible wild plants that grow all across the nation. I have been telling folks that they have a duty to be prepared for any kind of aa rough spot in life including dealing with disasters, food shortages etc. And being able to identify edible plants that are growing wild in the woods, vacant fields, in your own backyard, is a skill we should all have. When not running scieintific experiments for his paying job at his lab, Dr. Merriwether can be found in the woods and fields across the nation identifying and studying edible wild plants. Dr. Merriwether devotes a great amount of what spare time he has teaching foraging courses to the public at different locations around the state, and he has a website and a blog page dedicated to bringing this information to to the public. Food prices will soon be at a level Americans have never seen before. If you can help stretch your grocery dollar by foraging for a bt of your food, you might be able to shift those saved dollars over to ammunition. Dr. Merriwether will be talking about what you can do to help put some food on your table, in all seasons, by foraging, on the plains, in the woods, the mountains and swamps, even if you live in a city, there are still ways to supplement your diet by foraging. Be sure to listen and find out how. -Scout
Nelson Abbac joins us tonight to discuss his new book "Freedom's Forge, Striking The Sparks of Liberty". Nelson is a family man, an author, an Appleseed Project Instructor and an American Patriot. His latest work is a terrific example of what good historical fiction should be. If you have listened to the show, you have probably heard me mention that there is a terrible shortage of written works, both fiction, and, non fiction, that detail the events leading up to April 19, 1775. Thanks to Nelson, we now have another good bit of historical fiction that allows us to visit that time and help us to understand the people and the times they were living in. Nelson takes us on this journey through the eyes of a Scottish fugitive, marooned in the New World and thrust into the midddle of the events which would spin up into the beginning of a new nation. Nelson intertwines fictional characters with actual players in the intrigues swirling through the city of Boston. I have always said that you need to look no further than our own Revolutionary War history to find the most dashing heroes, the most beautiful and romantic women and the most exciting intrigues and exploits, and Nelson has proves this with a rip roaring tale of the men and women who were central in the formation of our nation during the days of the Boston Tea Party and immediatly after. This book belongs on your shelf right beside David Hackett Fischer's "Paul Revere's Ride", Thomas B Allen's,"Tories" and Esther Forbes book, "Johnny Tremain". All great books which allow us to peer inside the times and lives of the people who lived during the beginning of our nation. Be sure to call in with your questions. The reason this is a live show is to allow you to have a say in what the show talks about and to add your voice to the conversation. I hope to see you all there. -Scout
So 2012 is done. We were told we would be gone now by those who had deciphered the Mayan Calander. Just like we were told the world would crash in 2000 by the Tech Lords. We were told by Major Pitcairn that The British could march from one end of the colonies to the other with a single Battalion of Troop and a drawn sword, gelding the opponents of General Gage, and we are still here. For how long, who can say? But we are here right now. What will you be doing differently in 2013 in order to assure the continuation of this nation?Sure, there are a lot of folks who say they would do something, but how many do you think would actually take action in a situation such as faced the colonists in 1775? We have folks today who spout out "They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead hands". But do you think they really mean it? Would they actually be willing to put everything they have on the line and to dispute the government with force of arms? Would you barracade your door and then engage in a gun battle with troops sent to disarm you like Jason Russell did along the road to Menotomy? Do you think he thought he might die that day? I can tell you I believe he thought he may very die, and that he was willing to do so in order to live in a land where an "Englishman's Home is his Castle". This nation needs some work. We need to get out the hammers and saws, the mops and brooms and the oil cans and new window panes and roof tin. We need to be working as hard as we can to insure this nation does not go to its death from neglect. We are at some pretty powerful crossroads and there is not a lot of time for idling about. What do you have planned for your part in this effort? Better think about it. -Scout
The evil it took to walk into a school and purposely target small children for murder is incomprehensible The fact that someone could form such an idea as this in their head, and then a actually carry it out is beyond my understanding. And now that it has been done, and before the dust from this horrible tragedy has settled, there are people who will use this terrible tragedy to construct evil of their own making. As Terrible as it sounds, this event was a blessing to certain people. And they saw it as such, a blessing. I have no doubt that certain people jumped for joy when they saw that this evil had been committed. These are people who would use this event to further their political goals and ambitions and use this event to craft legislation that will further enable them to control another facet of Americans lives. This sounds like it is some kind of an evil fiction story, certainly there can not be folks who would find joy in this, but there are. These people put on a sad face and use their best theatrics to fool the general public and to further inflame the story of the event . How did we get to this point? A horrible tragedy has been turned into an issue of control. No amount of law making will make this right or prevent another such tragedy, so why is it being done? To exercise control. America has become a country polarized and drawn In two separate directions. There is no longer debate between the two factions. The art of debate seems to have died in this nation. God bless and keep those who died in this horrible tragedy, and their families and loved ones as well. And God bless and save our nation and all of the people's in it, and prevent us from spiralling out of control.
Tonight we will talk about the battles that occurred during the month of December during the years of the American Revolutionary War. Starting with a quick discussion of the Boston Tea Party, not an in depth one, since I want to talk about the Tea Party on the radio show, by itself in depth, during the week it actually happened. But there were a dozen battles that occurred during the years of the American Revolutionary War in the month of December and we will talk about them tonight. I like to talk about the battles in the month they occurred as it is easier to understand the cold of winter if it is cold outside, and the battles of summer if it is hot outside. Makes sense right? Be sure and take the time to call in and thank your local Appleseed crew on air, they really appreciate it folks, the same way you would.
Join us tonight-live!- 7:00PM CST For The Rifleman Radio Show
And feel free to call in with questions comments or just to listen by dialing 347-308-8790 and following the recorded instructions and then answering the call screener off the air.
Tonight's guest will be discussing a board game he designed to teach the people who play it the secrets of The Constitution of These United States. It seems as we go along, we get farther and farther away from what the Founders had in their minds when they created this nation.
We have an absolutely brilliant road map of how our government should run. The things it should do, and the things it can not do.
If everyone in this nation were familiar with the constitution, and I do not mean that they know how to parrot incorrect translations of the Constitution, like "The separation of Church and State", or 'The rights of The Militia, not the people to bear arms" or any number of the Constitutional rights and freedoms you hear misquoted. I mean knowing what the document says and being able to look at it from the stand point of the men who wrote it in the time they were writing it, then we would be in much better shape today.
Things like this board game are a great way to sneak in a learning opportunity for the folks playing it. And I am not just talking about the teenagers that might play it.
Use it to illustrate the rights and freedoms to your neighbor who thinks that the government should be our nanny and our sheriff all in one. Play the game with them and let them see what the document really means.
Hope to see you there!

We will be talking to Jim and Kim Heath, from Colorado aboiut their recent Appleseed event that Michael Bane, from Down Range TV, filmed for his televiision show. Mr. Banes TV show is a very popular one and I really think this will be a great chance for a lot of folks to hear about The Appleseed Project. We also discuss the Appleseed "Winter War" and why it is so important to schedule events in the winter months, in order to keep Appleseed a 12 month a year program. Join us tonight to lend an ear and a voice to the discussion, and be sure to have a local crew member in mind to call in and thank on the air tonight. Hope to see everyone there! Scout
"Hic Esse Monstras"- "Here there be Monsters..." A beautiful bit of wording covering the unknown areas on the maps of early sailors, warning them of venturing to far into these unknown waters. "Here there be Monsters.." or just the unknown that is a very fearfull thing. What can we, as leaders in our communities do to provide for the unknown? We continue or discussion of being prepared to weather any and all events that might require you to be on your own for any length of time. Also tonight, we discuss the "Battles of November". American Revolutionary War battles that were fought in the month of November during the Revolution. I look forward to seeing everyone there! Scout
"Ecce aliusquattuor annis",--"Behold, another Four Years", Join us tonight as we discuss what people think will be the results of having President Obama as our president for another four years. This is not a political discussion, no talk about parties or how to win any races or get control of any part of the government, just a discussion of what people think might be the result of having the same man at the controls for the next four years that we have had for the last four years. What might happen, what people should be doing to make sure our nation remains the absolute best nation we can make it. Hope to see everyone there!! Scout
At least it should be, right? Every day should be the end of the world as we know it because we should be reinventing the world every day we wake up and find ourselves still alive. We should never be accepting the world around us as the only way it can ever be.
It should always be in our minds to make sure we are creating the world we want to live in. How can we do this? Well, the best way, unless we wake up to an EMP, or a comet striking the earth, is always one small step at a time, a little bit every day. That is the same way we can change the rest of the world we live in, the groups we are part of. Making them our own and investing ourselves in their success.
America is entering into one of the most dangerous periods in it's history. More dangerous than even in the first days of The American Revolution. If we had failed then, I can say with almost complete certainty we would have tried again and again until we succeeded. If we fail now, we do not lose just a battle, or even a war, we lose a nation and the ideas that created it. We lose our heritage and we lose the nation we want to leave to our progeny. Instead of leaving them a home we make them orphans.
We do not have a defined enemy like our ancestors did in many cases. We can not put our sights on a British Regular and make it right with a squeeze of our triggers. Our enemy is much more subtle and heinous. Our enemy knows we will not recognize it in time to save ourselves. Our enemy is one of our own making, it is our own disregard for saving ourselves and taking the huge step of recognizing our enemy in our own faces, and closing with our enemy to do battle.
What are you doing to make sure we do not lose the most important battle in our history?
I hope to see you all there!

Join us tonight for discussion with Smokey Briggs, Editor of The Monahans Press in Monahans Texas, and Founder of "The Pecos Texas Run and Gun in The Sun". Smokey talks about the state of the written word, as far as newspapers go, and about the "Pecos Texas Run and Gun in The Sun". Smokey Briggs was one of the first Appleseed Project supporters in Texas and he also runs the annual "Pecos Texas Run and Gun in The Sun". The Run and Gun in The Sun is an annual shooting event in Pecos Texas where attendees run a six to seven mile loop and shoot at six stations along the way. The folks who attend this event are some of the best folks in the nation. I think that driving out to Pecos Texas, and then driving another hour even farther into the desert on four wheel drive roads, on the way to a six mile run through the desert, kind of winnows out the chaff of the folks who attend. The kernals left in the basket after the trip are the exact ones you want to spend time with. I look forward to seeing everyone there! Scout
Greetings! Tonight we are broadcasting from the thriving Metropolis of Pecos Texas where we will be the guests of Smokey Briggs, a fellow Appleseed member and the owner of two of the newspapers serving the Pecos/Monohans are, where we will be runing the "Pecos Run and Gun in the Sun" tomorrow. A seven mile course with seven shooting stations along the way, including a Redcoat station run by Appleseed Range Officers. So join us to talk about the event and about much more. I hope to see you all there!
That's right!! Zombies in California!! Well, actually Zombie targets at an Appleseed Experimental Event. Bob210 out in California is trying out an experimental shoot in ZCalifornia to see how it might work within Appleseed and what kind of a reception it gets in California. We have a lot to talk about with a lot of news in the Appleseed World. Join us tonight at 7:00PM CST for The Rifleman Radio Show!!! Scout
Colorado Jim.and Prone to Knit Kim, our Colorado and Self Reliance EXPO Reps will be our guests tonight to talk about the marriage of Appleseed and the self reliance/prepping folks at the Hickory NC Self Reliance Expo. I hope to see you there! Scout
A Rebel? From the Farflex/Google dictionary- Rebel, noun 1. One who rebels or is in rebellion: 2 verb-2. to dissent from an accepted moral code or convention of behaviour. A rebel is one who goes against the flow, swims upstream and does not allow themselves to be swept away, to be overcome by current thought and forced downstream with the flow. Maybe we should be rebelling against the current "accepted" moral code and our current behaviour in this country. Is that you? If that describes you, if it is you, we need you, we need a thousand of you, a million of you, and we need you all now! Maybe you are an "Insurgent"-adj. designating or of a faction in revolt against the leadership of a political party. noun-a person engaged in insurgent activity. Maybe we are all "innsurgents" too...and if we are not, maybe we should be. Maybe it is time to join the insurgency.
Join us tonight live, at 7:00PM Central for The Rifleman Radio Show. Tonight we will be taking listener calls about anything they want to speak about. In between listener calls we will be discussing Promotions possibilities and ways to get folks on the line and shooting at Appleseeds. No limits on subjects other than keeping a civil discussion on them. We have 50 lines paid for so no waiting. Do your duty and call in to the show with your piece of the puzzle.
"May you live in interesting times....." The above is an ancient Chinese proverb with a bit of a different meaning than what it actually says. It was the first of three curses, with the other two being, "May you come to the attention of the government". And, "May you find what you are looking for". Each of which can be easily construed to be fraught with peril. And that seems to be where we are now, in..interesting times. What are you doing to make sure you are getting the most out of living in an interesting time? Join me tonight at 7:00PM Central for "The Rifleman Radio Show"
No one has to tell you times are tough and look to be getting tougher. No one has an answer that we have sent to represent us as, a nation. There are vyery few examples of humans making any great changes in their lives, their economy, their personal theory of life or their political beliefs untill they are forced to. And the "They are forced to" is usually a dangerous and ugly form of change no one would ever willingly select for themselves or their loved ones. You see this over and over in history with events like the recent bursting of the housing bubble, our own Great Depression, and even recently the financial failures of Argentina and Greece. The failure of theses nations and certainly our own financial failures were no surprise. Everyone saw them.coming from miles and miles away. And yet nothing could be done. Everyone simply sat there and watched the events unfurl like a slow motion train wreck. Is this what we see coming over the horizon at us with break neck speed like a run away locomotive? And of so, what is to be done about it? Why don't we talk about this tonight and see what our best options are.
The show tonight is the seventh part of a seven part series on Making The Shot. Tonight we cover a lot of things including the last AQT of the day, the Benediction and most importantly, the days between the beginning of the event on Sat. morning and the end of the day on Sunday, and much more. I urge you guys to call in with any thing you want to add as far as running an Appleseed, and the days in between.
Join me tonight at 7:00PM Central for The Rifleman Radio Show. Tonight we discuss "The Rifleman's Bubble", "The Rifleman's Dance", and running The AQT (Army Qualifiction Test). We will also discuss telling "The Story", how to figure out the best way to tell the story that works for you and how to help new instructors with their story.
Join me tonight live at 7:00PM Central for The Rifleman Radio Show. Tonight we discuss "Talking Targets" and the importance of the instructor teaching this and the attendee understanding it, Dry Firing, Prep Time, "Ball and Dummy", "The Rifleman's Bubble" and many of the things that you need to understand in order to make you a better instructor and a better shooter.
Join us tonight, live, at 7:00pm Central for The Rifleman Radio Show. Tonight we discuss Natural Point of Aim, what it is how to determine it, to check it etc. Also we discuss positions and transitions and ways to make getting into the correct positions and then shooting from them an easier task for the Rifleman. We will also have some of the folks who ran the recent Appleseed participation in the Self Reliance Expo in Arlington last weekend. What they experienced and why the folks they were targeting were ready made to attend an Appleseed.
Tonight we have Scott Valencia from Self Reliance Expo and Red Shed Media as our guest to speak about the upcoming Self Reliance Expo being held in the DFW area July 27/28, along with the Glenn Beck Show. Scott believes in The Appleseed Project's mission and has generously given The Appleseed Project space in the Self Reliance Expo at each of the events in order for Appleseed to further our message. We also have Jim and Kim, Appleseed Instructors from Colorado coming on the show to talk about their involvement with The Self Reliance Expo Crew . They have been working with Scott and the Self Reliance Expo crew for a while running a booth with an indoor pellet gun range for participants to actually shoot Red Coat Targets and get a taste of what Appleseed does. Castle Mountain and Patriot Gal will also be on to talk about the Backwoods Home Magazine Shoot in Brookings Oregon. They have teamed up with Backwoods Home Magazine to have a shoot that already has 50 preregs and looks to be another great opportunity to team up with the prepping community. We will also have our regular call in "thank your local crew" and after action reports from around the nation. See you there! Scout
We had planned to discuss Inches, Minutes and Clicks last week, but our interview with Chuck Untersee, the director of "Behold a Pale Horse" went a bit long and we ran out of time before we could get to it. We will devote tonight to making sure we get this done along with discussing "Talking Targets" and a few other things related to IMC.
Tonight we have Chuck Untersee, the Director of the movie "Behold a Pale Horse", which Appleseed had a part in, as our guest, and we have Part Three of our seven part "Making The Shot" series. Part Three is "Inches, Minutes and Clicks". When we are teaching "Inches, Minutes and Clicks" and how they pertain to your target and rifle, we need to remember that it is a simple translation process. We are taking the raw data of holes in the paper, "inches", and translating it into "minutes", which are then understandable and usable by our rifles when converted to "clicks". The IMC portion of the instruction at an Appleseed is sometimes one of the stickiest sections of the instruction I have witnessed after many years of teaching at Appleseeds. It is often made into a much more complex and confusing idea than needed by many instructors, mainly new instructors. The easiest way to teach IMC is to keep it as simple as possible and to go from stepping stone to stepping stone when teaching it. Go from the known to the new when teaching IMC. From the circle, which most folks can grasp to the cone of 45 degrees, to the degree, to the cone of 60 minutes into the cone of one minute, etc. Make sure you always lead the students from one stone to the next and they will be able to follow you fairly easily, most of the time. Hope to see you there-Scout.
The second part of the seven part series, "Making The Shot". Tonight we talk about the six steps involved in in the actual firing of the shot.
In order to consistently make the shot you ned to have a steady, supported firing position. This is always the first step in your sequence of makiing the shot. You can make a supported position in many ways. Standing, seated, prone, leaning against a tree, sitting on a bench and on and on, but in order to make the shot consistenmtly, you must have a steady supported position. We will discuss this tonight as the first part of a seven part series on "Making The Shot" As always we will make time in the first twenty minutes for you to call in and thank your local crews. Hope to see you all there.
That would make you one in a hundred, a commonly used remark to indicate praise. But are you? With over 200 million Americans in this nation today, we do not need 90% or 80% or even 10% of Americans to flip their switches on and start doing the things needed to save the nation. We only need 1% of Americans to become actively engaged in defending the freedoms and liberties we all enjoy by virtue of living in this nation in order to preserve them. Think about that. One out of every one hundred folks are all it takes to save the nation (if we have not drifted over the line already).
America became a world leader within two generations of the formation of our nation. Many philosophers and many great minds throughout history have spoken and written oabout the stages a nation goes through on it's way from birth to death, and many current great minds see Americoa beginning to start it's downward slide from world leader to an empty wrecked shell that will have to bow and scrape before the up and coming nations of the 21st century. But, there is no law of nature that would force America to accept this path. There is, in all probability still time to avert the looming disaster and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and retain a first nation place in our world. As a smart tough leader in partnership with other like minded nations. Join us tonight for discussion of how you can play your part in this historical event.
Hannibal ante portas! Hanibal is at the door!!! With the translation beiing, "Danger is at the door!" Join us tonight on The Rifleman Radio Show for a discussion of the dangers we face today as Americans, and some of the lessons we could learn from the Romans. Also, we continue our discussion of The Battle for New York and the retreat across The Delaware River after the British return from the defeat at Boston.
Tonight we talk about what you can do to help change the world we live in. How simple things can go a long way toward safeguarding the freedoms and liberties we enjoy by virtue of living in this nation.
The events of April 19th, 1775 were not a spontaneous uprising of American farmers and shopkeepers who decided to begin a revolt out of the blue. This was something that had been cooking itself up for several years. This is the way all revolts start. This is the way all revolutions begin. Tonight we discus the spin up of the war after Bunker Hill and Dorchester Heights. What the colonists did after their first three heady vctories, after the British set sail for Halifax and before the reality of what war would mean set in.
Tonight we discuss the After Action Reports from the April 19th events and also discuss what happened in America immediatly after the events of April 19th, 1775.
That is what the papers could have read on April 19th, 1775. Because that is what happened. Colonial Militiamen began firing on British occupational troops who had already attacked Colonial forces at Lexington Green and at the North Bridge in Concord. We will discuss the events of April 19th, 1775 tonight and also the 100 simultaneous shoots The Appleseed Project will be running across the nation to honor the men and women who stood in ranks that day to safeguard and protect their rights and begin the events that would birth this nation.
236 years, 11 months and three weeks ago, thousands of men and women worked together standing in ranks under fire, gathering supplies, spreading the alarm, rounding up horses and equipment to assist the Colonial militias from the dozens of cities and towns surrounding Boston. We are only a week away from the April 21/22 Patriots' Day Shoots that are the Appleseed Project's signature weekend. We will have over one hundred events on that weekend all across the nation. Tonight we can discuss some of the final details for last minute preperations and promotions.
The road to open warfare in America was not a short one. We covered the beginning of the events that lead to the American Revolution last week. We continue exploring the lighting of the fuses that lead to The America Revolutionary War tonight with discussion on The Committee of Safety, Paul Revere and the British response to the Colonists .
We are coming up on the April 19th, the day the AMerican Revolutionary War began and the day our nation was birthed. With this, we are also coming up on the signature weekend shoots of The Appleseed Project which celebrate this day. We will be spending some time tonight talking about the events that led the Colonists into the American Revolutionary War.
The American Revolutionary War was had it's share of treason and treachery by spies and traaitors from both sides. Patriots and Loyalists both ran networks of spies and both sides had betrayals by soldiers in their service. Join me tonight as I discuss Spies and Treason in The American Revolutionary War.
We talk about medicine, hospitals and surgical procedures that folks living during the American Revolutionary War could look forward to.
Want to become The Masters of The Universe? You can do it. Maybe not all at once, but by setting yourself small goals and then meeting and exceeding them, you will be well on your way.
Trey Tuggle, a former Navy SEAL and the current head of the NRA's newly formed Tactical Rifle Program is our guest on The Rifleman Radio Show Thursday February 23, 7:00PM Central. Trey will give us an inside look at the NRA's Tactical Rifle Program, explain The National Defense Match and discuss what the NRA has cooking this year and in the near future.
We finish up The Burgoyne Campaign with The Battle of Saratoga and the entrance of The French into the American Revolutionary War.
We are with The Appleseed Project volunteers at The Dallas Self Reliance Expo Tonight. We are having a great time and a great many of the folks in the Self Reliance/Prepping community are here with us tody.
Join us tonight live at 7:00PM Central ffor The Rifleman Radio Show. Tonight we continue our discussion of The Burgoyne Campaign and it's affect on the American Revolutionary War.
The story of the Burgoyne Campaign of 1777 continues tonight with discussion of Ft. Stanwix, The Battle of Oriskany and The pre cursor to the campaign, the Battle of Valcour Island.
We have covered the winter of 1776-1777 and now we continue on with the Campaigns of 1777. We also discuss getting started in Appleseed and also how to get events scheduled in your area, including getting folks to look for Designated Appleseed Ranges..
Jack Dailey, "Fred" the founder of The Revol;utionary War Veterans Association" which sponsors "The Apleseed Project" is our guest tonight. We will talk about the history of Appleseed, the present projects we have running and the future of Appleseed as he sees it. Be sure to join us tonight 7:00PM Central
Dr. David Hackett Fischer joins us to discuss his Pulitzer Prize-winning book "Washington's Crossing". In Washington's Crossing, Fischer provides a narrative of George Washington's leadership of the Continental Army during the winter of 1776-1777. It was this time of year, over 230 years ago in the winter of 1776-1777 that George Washington's small army attacked across the Delaware river again and again. His "Crossing" was actually several crossings including recrossing the river after the first Battle of Trenton with 900 Hessian prisoners he had captured. Dr. Fischer will discuss the importance of The First and Second Battles of Trenton, and The Battle of Princeton and also the Winter Forage War of 1777. As you guys know, Dr. Fischer is the author of the Appleseed Project Textbook, "Paul Revere's Ride".
Join us tonight for discussion of the coming year and we also have a reality tv casting producer coming on the show to invite Rifleman Radio Show listeners to audition for a reality tv she is casting. See you there.
Join us tonight for discussion of the things we can expect in the next year and of the things we have been thankful for this year. We also continnue to discuss The Battles of Trenton and Princeton.
It is only a couple of weeks from, and 230 plus years after Washington's historic crossing of the Delaware River in order to attack the towns of Princeton and Trenton on Christmas and New Years. This was the turning point of the war. The future of America looked bleak with multiple defeats and with no real direction, other than a constant retreat, for our forces. The American cause was saved from possible failure by just a handfull of the American troops serving under Washington.
For years I did not think I could do anything to alter the direction our nation was going in. I beat the top of the television, threw things at it, yelled at it, yelled at the radio shows I listened to. And it did nothing to change the way things were going. So, what could I do? I did not want to go in the "Taxi Driver" direction but what was left? I lived out in the middle of nowhere and worked all day seven days a week. So how could I help? How could I plug myself into the equation and make a difference? Then one day I read Fred's column in SGN and I got plugged in. That was almost six years ago now and Appleseed has really grown. It is beginning to be what it was meant to be and it will continue to grow and fill it's place in American History. It is not a perfect organization, I do not know of any "perfect" organizations, but it is the best thing going to get folks off the couch and taking part in their lives and in maintaining the rights and freedoms we enjoy by being citizens of this nation. Don't you want to be a part of this? Don't you want to be able to tell your grandkids about being a part of an organization that helped secure our liberty? I know I do.
Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, objects at rest teend to remain sedentary. No different than Americans, right? Except that the majority of the energy expended by people is not directional or at least not consistently directional. There is so much waste of energy. And then there are the vast numbers of folks who the second part of the above sentence refers to. These are the folks who "remain sedentary". Sitting on their couches or watching tv and expennding no energy. Where do you fall in this scale? From full speed ahead an damn the torpedos to the folks sitting on their couches with a light covering of moss and vines. How can you maximise your potential for getting things done?
Tonight we have Sheriff Richard Mack on the show. Sheriff Mack has been working for many years now on informing Americans about the constitutional powers of the County Sheriff and about the Constitutional rights of American Citizens. His current project "The Constitutional Sheriffs Convention"is an effort to inform all of the Sheriff's Offices in the U.S. about the powers given to the Sheriffs by the U.S. Constitution. He is working currently with "Free America Now" and many other groups to forward this project and inform Americans about the Constitutional powers that belong to American Sheriffs. Sheriff Mack has specified a video you can watch to help you understand what he is trying to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4RuWK2Ww-4&feature=youtu.be
We are taking calls and questions tonight about The Appleseed Project and our mission, goals, history etc. So if you have questions about Appleseed, or information you would like to add to the collective Appleseed Knowledge bank, give us a call tonight 7:00PM Central
Tonight we have some more letters from the men and women who fought the battles in The South during the American Revolutionary War. Including discussion of Francis Marion, "The Swamp Fox" and his role in leading American Partisans and helping to turn the tide against the British in The Carolinas and the role the Southerners played in repelling the British in the South and helping to bring thee American Revolutionary War to a conclusion. Join us at 7:00PM Central for a live airing of the program.
Join us tonight as we get the after action report from the October 15/16, Chugiak, Alaska shoot.
Morgan was coming up on a meeting with Tarelton in South Carolina. With his back to the Broad River, Morgan knew a retreat across the river could be disasterous. ALso, if he retreated he would very well lose his militia, but he was afraid of the militia possibly panicking again as had occurred at Camden. When he solved this problem at Cowpens it would turn out to be the best fought battle the Patriots ever fought. Greene would try these same tactics again twice in different battles but never with the same degree of success. Join us for discussion of COwpens, from the mouths of the men who were there, and also for discussion of current Appleseed business as well as as highlights from The Pecos Run and Gun last weekend in Pecos Texas.
The Appleseed Project has developed a system of shooting instruction that is fantastic, but we did not develop the system from scratch, we just distilled down the iformation from 500 years of firearms usage and present it to you in a way that is easy to wrap your mind around it. Join us tonight as we discuss The Six Steps to firing The Shot. This is the second of several parts of the instruction we present at Appleseeds. The first part is building a proper shooting position and covers slings and positional steady hold factors. There are several other considerations you will need to know in order to make the shot after mastering the six steps, such as Natural Point of Aim, IMC, windage and come-ups, but tonight we focus on The SixSteps.
Tonight we discuss making sure you have yourself and your family prepared in order to weather different situations you may encounter in life. "In the Rabbit Hole" A group that helps you prepare for some of these situations in an "Urban Survival" situation is our guest.
Difficile est tenere quae acceperis nisi exerceas It is difficult to retain what you may have learned if you do not practice it. Exactly, shooting is a perishable art and it will rust and disolve without keeping it sharp and bright with practice. How can you keep your skills up without going to the range once a week? Easy, dryfiring i your home.
"Audio, Video, Disco" "I hear, I see, I learn" The latin words have become common usage words in our language today. But they arrived here with a distinct meaning. And presented in this phrase, they have an even more certain meaning. "I hear" meaning, I listen. I am listening to what is being said, not waiting to talk. "Isee", I am not so wrapped up in my own small life that I can not see the mechanics of the world in a bigger picture sense and try to understand where I live in this world. "I learn", I do not put my hand on the stove every day in order to figure out that a stove top in use is hot. That is what we are supposed to be doing every day in order to make sure we are helping to lead our nation in the right direction, not running to try and catch up to the buss carrying the folks who do not have a clue and are just being driven to wherever whoever is driving the bus takes them. As citizens of this nation, we were not meant to be herded into pens and kept quietly in ignorance of what our future is. We were meant to be the Authors of our future, of our destiny. Are you doing this? Are you penning your own future? Writing your own story and living it to the fullest of your ability while doing your duty of safeguarding the freedoms and liberties that living in this nation affords you. If you are not, you should be. Come to an Appleseed and let us help you get started.
Non mihi non tibi sed nobis- Not for you, not for me, but for us, the foundation of a good relationship. That is why we do what we do at Appleseed. I do not do it for me, I do not do it for the other Appleseed Instructors, I do it for my children, my nation and for those who will come after. I have to do a great many things for Appleseed that take a lot of time, or that I do not really care to do. A lot of work. If I could I would only do the actual events because they are fun and very satisfying. It is all the work between the end of an event and the beginning of the next event that is the hard part.
Fluctuat nec mergitur- It is tossed by the wavaes but it does not sink. That kind of sounds like our nation right? And like Appleseed too. As a nation we have been through many rough timess and yet we have pulled through each of them. As an organization we have also had some rough times and we continue to push through them in order to fulfill our mission. And we can sure use your help. Right now we are in the middle of a big promotions push and we need everyone involved in the program to lend a hand with promotions. That means we need you to help. Please listen in and decide where you can best help with the effort to fill the lines at Appleseeds so we can fill their hearts with the message we need them to hear. Thanks Scout
Please join us tonight at 7:00PM Central for The Rifleman Radio Show. Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America will be our guest during the show tonight. GOA has been on the cutting edge of defending the rights of American Gun Owners for many years and they continue to do so to this day. Not only does GOA work to defend existing rights, but they continue to work on expanding the rights of Americans in the areas of gun ownership. At Appleseed, we do not run an information or lobbying organization, we run a growing organization that agressively seeks out Americans and asks them to get off the couch and become defenders of their rights and freedoms. We are concentrating our efforts in getting folks energized and up and working. We do not try and tell them how to do this specifically as there are dozens, even hundreds of organizations out there already set up to do this. We tell folks that Gun Owners of America is one the organizations Americans should be working with to make sure their rights and freedoms do not evaporate in the coming years.
There are literally millions of folks who would like to attend an Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship event, and we have hundreds of locations with thousands of instructors to teach them. So why are the lines not filled to capacity every weekend? Because the vast majority of Americans do not know we exist. How can we resolve this? Well, there are many ways to get the word out about Appleseed and we will give a few of them to you tonight.
Lethargus hostis hvmani generis-Apathy, the Enemy of The Human Race. You have heard me say this over and over. When America perishes, it will not be from a Godzilla type event, but from rust, from apathy, from laziness. Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion, bodies at rest tend to remain sedentary. But you do not have to be one of the sedentary bodies. Find out what you can do to make sure you keep yourself in motion.
Tonight we have reports from the Appleseed in Alaska, info about the Hawiian Appleseed and we will talk about The Corona 210. Please join us to hear from the folks who instructed and who the folks who attendedthe Alaskan shoot and also hear from the folks involved in Hawii and Corona California.
The title above is from a childrens my wife had. I read the book one of the many times I visited her classroom when she was teaching kindergarten and first grade. I was very surprised to see the book back then and to read all of the accurate details in it. History, especially anything to do with The American Revolutionary War and the formation of the nation has been slowly but surely chipped away and discarrded in American classrooms in the last four decades. I picked it up last week when I was cleaning the bookshlves and thinning out the library in our home and while reading it again, realized it had a lot of ideas that could be used in discussion of American Heritage, history, and also in our current American situations.
We are a fairly informed group, by teaching and listening to folks telling "The Story" of the events of April 19th 1775. But what happened in the days immediatly after the events of April 19th 1775? Tonight we take a look at the events following Lexington, Concord and Battle Road and how the war progressed in the first early days of America's Revolutionary War.
I am in New York doing Appleseeds this month and bring you the show live from Central New York tonight. Join us for discussion of current Appleseed news and History of The American Revolution.
"Etiam capillus unus habet umbram"-"Even one hair has a shadow". Sometimes even the smalest things have large consequences, for the good and the bad. How do we know who the next big Appleseed person will be or where they will come from? You need to make sure they are coming from your shooting line. Also, we have more Letters from The American Revolution. Tonight we hear about Partisan fighting in the colonies.
Please join us tonight on "The Rifleman Radio Show" as Benjamin Smith, editor of "Patriots of The American Revolution" magazine is our guest. This magazine is absolutely a wealth of information about the most exciting period in our nations history. Mr. Smith will discuss diferent stories the mnagazine has covered. POTAR magazine also accepts stories from folks about relatives who fought in The Rev. War and I know many of you have such stories.
Mr. Smith has donated a full page add in the magazine to help promote Appleseed and I know you all want to return the favor by suscribing to such an exciting and professionally done magazine whiich covers our favorite topic.
The magazine website is http://www.patriotsar.com/ I look forward to seeing you all there.
Scout

We will also have more "Letters From The AMerican Revolution" covering the war at sea in the colonies and beyond. Hope to see you there.
A fronte praecipitium a tergo lupi-"A precipice in front and wolves behind" Times are hard and not looking as though they are going to become easier or less dangerous anytime soon. What can we do as an organization, as a people to make sure we get through these times?
We will hear from more American Revolutionary War participants by reading the letters they wrote over two hundred and thirty years ago.
"Ex uno disce omnes"- "From one person learns all persons" And that is what the Appleseed Project is all about. The Seventh Step, each of us becoming teachers and passing on what we have learned. Making sure that once we are squared away, the folks to the left and right are informed about how they can help safeguard the freedoms and liberties that being an American affords us.
Please join us tonight with our guest "Patriots of The American Revolution" Magazine Editor Benjamin Smith. His magazine is dedicated to remembering the men and women who were instrumental in the formation of this country during The American Revolutionary War. Remembering those who came before honors them. Keeping the ideas of freedom and liberty for all Americans also honors them.
On tonights show I will br reading letters written by men a women from both sides of The American Revolutionary War. These letters provide a unique perspective on the events that occurred during the War for American Independence
"Graviora manent" - Which translates as "Greater dangers await". And they do. We had an episode a few weeks ago that was guest hosted by Jack Spirko from "The Survival Podcast" and we discussed how imperative it is that we live our lives in such a way that we arte constantly considering and preparing for the tough times that may or may not be coming. (They are) This show is a follow up on the idea of Appleseed folks being prepared for tough situations so that they can be the leaders who help their families and neighbors in tough times.
Non Semper Erit Aestas- "It will not always be summer". And it won't will it? Summer ends and then fall and then winter. And it comes faster than you think. this phrase was used to talk to folks about the fact that it will not always be summer, that the time to prepare for difficult times is right now. And I am not necessarily speaking about any kind of survival/prep in as far as your individual family surviving. I am talking about making sure the whole nation survives. Making sure that the preparing for winter analogy is being used to tell folks that the time to make sure you are doing enough to ensure the survival of your nation is not when you see the nation coming down around you, but when it is eay, or relatively so, right now. When you can actually affect the future of this nation and hopefully save it, not by arming yourself and fighting in the streets, but by making phone calls, sending emails, writing letters, going to an Appleseed and getting your friends, family, relatives, neighbors etc. to attend an event with you. By becoming an active part of the governing body of this nation.
Join us tonight for The Appleseed Project's "Virtual Muster" Night. We will try to have as many Appleseed folks online on the forum and listening to the radio show as possible tonight. The Appleseed Project Virtual Muster will begin at 6:00PM Central.
Beth Schoenberg and "The Derry Brownfield Show" have always been wonderful supporters of The Appleseed Project while doing a great job of making sure Americans know about what is going on with American freedoms and liberty on their radio show.
Derry Brownfield died last month and Beth is coming on tonight to talk about what a great American Derry Brownfield was, about what they have been doing on the radio show and the future of the show.
We will also talk about the upcoming April 16/17 weekend and how we can continue to prepare for a historic Patriot's Day Shoot.
I hope to see you there,
Scout
Chris Knox from The Firearms Coalition is our guest tonight. Chris and his brother Jeff Knox run "The Firearms Coalition" in the tradition of their father Neal Knox. The Knox Family has been writing about, and active in, defending the rights of gun owners in America for almost fifty years. Chris has been a member of The Appleseed Project for several years now. He has been a supporter of Appleseed attending events and writing articles about Appleseed and has guested on the radio show several times in the last few years. It is always a pleasure to have him on the show and listen to him speak about defending America's gun owners rights.
Tonight we begin discussions of the upcoming April 16/17 events across the nation. How we can make them the best events we can. Promotions, making sure ranges are ready, crews are set etc.
Jack Spirko is the modern voice of survival/preparedness in America and he does an absolutely fantastic job of giving Americans information about "prepping". His daily one hour pod-casts are filled with information on living a lifestyle of preparedness, where in the course of each day you add another layer of preparation to your survival plan. Working toward building a comprehensive plan for preparedness for you and your family and community. Jack will not teach you how to tear up a pair of jeans and make a loincloth, but you will hear information on everything from home mortgage loans and paying down your credit bills to catching fish with flowers and drying and storing food(including how to make Biltong). Jack is a great speaker and he doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He is a "Man to Ride The River With" Don't miss this show.
Judy Rhodes with the DIVA-WOW, Women Outdoor Worldwide Organization is our guest tonight. By the time this show airs Ms. Rhodes will have attended a Ladies Only Appleseed in the DFW area that was put on with the help of DIVA-WOW and she will discuss what the DIVA-WOW organization is, what they do and how her organization is helping to educate women on all aspects of outdoor sports in Texas including the shooting sports.

Tonight we discuss Law Enforcement Officers and Appleseed. What their experiences have been, how they heard about Appleseed, what made them finally attend and how attending an event has helped them. Also, how can we make the invitation for LEOs to attend more successful and more helpull for them.
"Fugit hora", "The hour flies", and boy does it. So many things to do so little time to get them done, I hope enough time. Are you ready for what is coming down the pike? And what might that be? Does a Rifleman have a duty to be prepared for the eventualities in life? I think the answer is yes. We will discuss how a Rifleman can prepare for being a leader in when he needs to be.
Latin for "The Eagle doesn't capture flies" or, "don't sweat the small stuff" A good idea to live by. So many things happen in the course a day, a week, a month, a year that do not really matter in the long run. But there are many things that do matter. How can we learn to separate the two.
Join us tonight live at 7:00PM Central as Fred will be our guest and will answer questions tonight.
Aut viam inveniam aut faciam- "I will find a way or I will make one". Words Americans have lived by since the beginning of the nation. Words I see followed by Appleseeders every time I work with them. But do Americans as a whole still believe this? Or are we beginning to just seek the easiest way like water following gravity along the path of least resistance. Doing the right thing is hard. Recently I was told by another Master Instructor that he had heard a great bit of advice concerning what we as Appleseeders, as Riflemen, should be trying to do. "The only thing a Rifleman needs to do is the next right thing". It sure sounds easy....right?
Tonight we discuss some of the events that occurred at Lexington Green on April 19th,1775 and why they were important, then and now.
Recent troubles I have experienced with my computer hardware and software have reminded me how easy it is for certain problems, which seem like your real "most important" problems, to be masking the actual real problem/s which are plaguing you.
We are experience the same situations in our lives and within the program every day.

The Appleseed Project is doing everything in our power to make sure they do. Got an extra two days in the year to see how we do it? Come to an Appleseed event and find out. www.rwva.org

Why the Appleseed Project is for all Americans and needs all Americans to succede. The rights provided to Americans by The Constitution cover all Americans of every race, gender, ethnicity, and political persuasion. It must be safeguarded by every one of those persons. In the words of Ronald Reagan, quoting Hillel, "If not now, when, if not us, who? I look forward to seeing everyone there. Scout

Do you wonder how you as one person can do anything to change the direction of the nation? We can help you figure this out.
When Lincoln gave his address at Gettysburg, he harkend directly back to the Founding Fathers and the American Revolution. Where do our leaders refer back to now? Who are their heros? WWho are yours? The cliche of "Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it" is not some silly old wives tale. It is the absolute truth. If you do not know your history, you do not know where to go in the future. That is why we are so dedicated to making sure Americans hear about their history at APpleseeds. Join us tonight as we talk about the importance of American history
How did the Founding Fathers ever do what they did? How did they manage to write the documents they did without any "I"s
How did they write "We The People"? Why was it not "I, The Person"
How have we come so far that now the individual is more important than the tribe? Than the Nation?
That rights are less important than "wrongs"?
Chris Knox from The firearms Coalition will be our guest tonight. Chris Knox is Neal Knox's son and a writer and gun rights advocate in his own right. Chris has a new book out he will talk about tonight as well as discussing gun laws and the direction America is heading. The time to decide where you stand on the isssues facing America today, has arrived. What are the issues? Where do you stand? The Appleseed Project can help you get geared up to sort out the issues and start making these decisions. You can set some easy goals of improving your marksmanship, meet those goals while meeting folks of like minds. You can discuss your ideas and concerns with them while getting your mind right abaout stepping up and fulfilling your sacred obligations and responsibilities to your country. I asked Chris Knox to come on tonight and he said he would if he could get some phoe time to get on the show so I hope he will get some time to share with us.
Aaron Zelman is head of the organization Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership and he will be coming on the show to speak about what JPFO does and how the organization is working to help safeguard our 2Amendment rights.
Last week I was asked where I thought we would be in five years and I asked the listeners to think about this also and be ready to call in and talk about their ideas.
That is one of the "U.S.M.C. Rules For Gunfighting" and it is very appropriate for us to use in our everyday lives. We cannot take what we hear on the radio, or read in the newspapers anymore as the truth without making sure we verify what we are hearing or reading. We have to depend on ourselves instead of depending on others, and that goes for everything we do. When we sleep at night, do we intrust the safety of our family and home to someone else? Or do we make sure that our family members are safe under our care? Or do we just assume that someone is looking out for them and never worry about their safety? We need to understand that our rights and liberties require the same care to make sure they do not dissapear while we sleep/ Are we up to this? Can we spaer enough time to make sure that our liberties and freedoms will be there when we wake up tomorrow?
"Or most assuredly, we shall all hang separatley....." Benjamin Franklin...And while he was making a joke during the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it was actually very serious and real. These men were most definitely going to be executed for treason, and they were willing to risk this for their cause. What are we willing to risk today? Is a few days a month too much to "risk" for the preservation of our freedoms and liberties? We all have divergent ideas on what direction our country should be taking, what the best answers are for our economy, our industry, personal freedoms and liberties, but unless we stand together and make alliances based on the parts of our ideas that are the same, we standd a good chance of "all hanging together". Help us all find a common plot of ground we can use to begin turning the tide of the current creep and rot. Come to an Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship Clinic and see what all the noise is about. Become the master of yourr rifle, and then decide to become a "Rifleman", a Patriot.
How committed are you to living a rifleman's life? What is it and what should it take? Second topic is an IIT call
Each and every citizen of this nation is oblilgated to take part in safeguarding America's liberties and freedoms. How many are on the wall watching? It should be millions and millions, but it is much fewer than you would imagine. OK, so getting more folks to respond to their obligations should be a top priority for Patriots, but how do we go about doing this? How to insure Americans are awake and paying attention to what is going on in our nation?
Americans have a massive dose of ADD that allows only the last few days of memories to be easily recovered and accessed. Anything further than that and it starts to get cloudy and confusing. "Why are we in Afghanistan, Iraq?" "Why are we not letting folks like Saddam Hussein and Kim Jung Ill realize their full potential as dictators?" Wait...something like this sounds familiar, WWII and some guy.....oh well, lost it, the answer is gone now. We can't remember. Why do we not give the government complete control of our lives and make all of our decisions? This has never been tried before right? And if it had been, it all worked out ok....right? Unbelievable. The ignorance of the common American, the ones who can not even name the Vice President they voted for. The ones who look at a picture of George Washingtom and say"Some old guy, who knows, that was way before my time dude" The ones who when asked what the bill of rights are, start spouting out the Miranda warning. Americans....if you can call them that, seem to have a complete collective loss of memory when asked to give the government cmplete control over private industry. The cannot remember the failures of the government in every single venture of this type in America's history. Every single time the government has gotten it's hands on a business or organization or program it has destroyed it. This would be a good reason not to hand over these programs to the government would it not? But with American Amnesia we hand those keys over again and again and we get the same results again and again. How will we end this? We become the people who hand down history ourselves, by mouth, to everyone we can speak to. At The Appleseed Project, we do this every weekend of the year. We start wiith the events of Apeil 19th, 1775. Join us tonight as we discuss the way you too can join us on your own path to becoming a Rifleman, a Patriot.
If the people of this nation ever woke up and decided to take the responsibility for the nation that is their right and their sacred duty, the world would be a different place overnight. But how to get them to take on that responsibility? Join us Tuesday night at 7:00pm central time for discussion on how to get Americans to take responsibility for their country, for their lives and for their heritage.
The times we are living in are some of the most important and dangerous times we have ever experienced. Are you aware of this? If you are what are you doing to make sure this nation and the the freedoms and liberties associated with it survive for those who come after us? Because if it is nothing, you are doing the same thing that millions of other Americans are doing each day. Sleep walking through their lives and living in an auto pilot existence until one day soon you will wake up and find your country has changed into something you do not recognize and your freedoms and liberties have also morphed into unrecognizable non rights. Do something now to help preserve our nation, to nurture it and keep our freedoms strong. Come to an Appleseed and experience the feeling of setting a goal and acheiving it, of getting involved in your life and in the safeguarding of our nations rights and liberties. Come to an Appleseed and experience the heritage of rifle marksmanship and safety and hear about the men and women who came before you and safeguarded the rights and freedoms that they then handed to you with love and respect. Come to an Appleseed and begin your journey on the path to becoming a "Rifleman". Scout
The American Revolution didn't start out of the blue on April 19th, 1775. It was not a spontaneous uprising of farmers who swarmed on the British Regulars that day as a careful manipulation of history by the men who handled recording the history would lead us to believe. There were many factors involved in getting 22,000 men under arms and marching-running towards Concord that day. When two bodies of people begin on a course of actions that lead them to become embroiled in conflict, they become involved in a choreographed dance that can push them ever closer towards an eventuality of war if left unchecked. This is what happened in the Colonies in the years leading up to the Revolution and culminated in the events of April 19th, 1775. At any point the two sides could have chosen different answers to the difficulties they were facing but they didn't. The answers chosen were those that fit inside the channel that would lead to war. They made choices based on what they knew and what they had to work with. We have choices we neeed to make today as Americans and we need to make sure we are making the right ones. How do we makes these choices and how do we make sure they are the right ones? How can we increase the choices we have available to us? How can we make sure that the liberties and freedoms that those men and women secured for us so many years ago remain as part of our heritage and are handed down to our posterity? These are the questions we should be asking ourselves these days and making sure we are working towards answering them after we ask ourselves. If you would like to become a part of the answer and become a better American I can help you. Become part of the Appleseed Program and start living the life of a "Rifleman" Join us tonight as we discuss the questions we should be asking ourselves and the possible answwers we have to work with.
If you got up this morning after a Rip Van Winkle snooze and read the newspaper, you would not really know what country you were in today. So many changes in our nation and so much turmoil and strife currently, but just because you read about a ton of new rules and regulations and ridiculous laws, the country does not have to stay this way.
With your help we can begin to preserve the way of life we have know in this nation for 230+ years. We can stem the tide of bowing down before the altar of government and begin to replace that with making our representatives accountable to the American people.
But before we do anything, we have to awaken the "Sleeping Americans", the Americans who go through life in a somnambulist state, sleep walking through their lives and scittering about, bouncing from side to side on a bowling lane with the gutter guards up, from cradle to grave. How do we awaken them? Get them to an Appleseed event, let them hear about how bands of everyday men and women gathered themselves together became heroes by standing up for their rights and liberties. Get them to see how rewarding, and how easy it is to set their feet on the path to becoming a "Rifleman" and a real American participating in their lives and safeguarding the freedoms and liberties the Founding Fathers left this nation.
We also want to speak about some of the new changes coming to the Appleseed Project and the Appleseed Forum. We will have guests who will help explain the new forum being set up and able to answer questions you have about it.
Thanks and God bless all involved in helping to make this such a worthwhile program.
These times do indeed try men's souls. Now more than ever are we in need of the men who will stay, stand the course, united in the toughest of times we have faced in the last half century of tough times, I mean tough for our nation. For individuals, the times seem normal, or if not normal, then filled with outlandish events designed to obfuscate and obscure the real problems facing out nation.
Which event seems to require more attention, the absolutely unbelievable amount of debt that is being attached to the backs of Americans, or the death of Michael Jackson, pop start and Howard Hughes style recluse? In one case we are being loaded with an amount of debt that will truely make us nothing more than "beasts of burden" to our government, and in the other, we find out we are held in the lowest esteeem by the media who insist that the story of a mentally unhinged boy/man is the pablum we crave/deserve.
Each is an example of far the people in charge of our government and our media have seperated themselves from the common men and women of this country.
And what to do about it? How to insure that when the snow melts and the men of Valley Forge exit their damp and disease ridden cabins they are ready to face what ever places itself in their paths, Knowledge.
Knowledge is the key and you have to be awake to hear the words of knowledge required to set this nation back on the path of preserving our heritage and our liberties and freedoms.
That is our calling, we are the midnoght dispatch riders spreading out across the nation and waking people to the fact that their nation is calling for them. That we have a nation filled with liberties and freedoms unlike any other nation on the face of the earth. And now is the time to ensure that we do not lose these freedoms, not after they have been lost.
Help us in this mission.
How much will it take to finally be too much? How far can Americans be pushed before something breaks? And what will it take to wake the masses so that they will even know they are supposed to be heading towards a breaking point. How much air will the "living-breathing" consitution have to suck before Americans realise it has a resperitory disease? Also tonight we have reports from state and regional coordintors and we will discuss natural point of aim, how to determine your NPOA, and then shift it onto your target. We welcome your calls and comments on the air and in the chat room.
Appleseed is a rifle marksmanship and safety organization that teaches an intense three part story of American history. The story of folks who did not sit idle and assume that they would be taken care of by their government.
The decided that they, as the people who made up the country should have a say in how it was run. Nowdays it seems Americans are willing to just sit in their fog and take whatever the government saya and does as the last word on how the country should be run. The Founding Father must be spinning in their graves and shedding tears of anger at all they sacrificed so that the real government, the people, would always have the last say, was in vain. Join us tonight for more discussion of how we can reverse this trend. Plus we will talk about dry firing, how you can become a productive memof the organization and also about upcoming events and recent Appleseed Shooting Clinics.
What does it take to live the life of a "Rifleman"? What does it take to be an American? What does it take to be an American? Are you an American just because you were born here? Are you a Rifleman just because ou own a rifle? Join us tonight as we talk about what it means to live the life of a Rifleman, and what it means to be an American.
For want of a nail, a shoe was lost, for want of a shoe a horse was lost, for want of a horse, a man was lost... Little things can have big consequences. The time to put a stop to something is when it is a tiny thing, not when it is a world wide path of destruction.
But how to stop it? How to even inform people of the missing nail? Every time something major has happeneid in this world, it began as somethig tiny, and it could have ended very easily right then.
How do we let people know a nail is missing? Let us get started trying to tell them tonight.
Will it? If it is who's fault is that? Are you doing what you can to insure it is? Are you being responsible to your Sneators and Representatives by providing them with your ideas on issues? If not, how are they to know what you need, what you wish for your country, what stirs your heart.
Being an Ameican is not something you get from being born here. It is something you get by being vigilant and by insuring you are participating in the mechanics of keeping this country on track. Other wise, you are doing no more than a person in faraway Timbuktu. Comenting on events in this nation as if you were a visitor.
Join us Tuesday night at 7:00PM central time for another broadcast of "The Rifleman Show". We will let you know whhat events are taking place where. What we could use help with, and hear stories from folks on the sharp end of the stick at Appleseeds and Rifleman's Boot Camps.
With all that is being stacked against Americans in the way of weekly, almost daily assaults against our freedoms and rights, what are we doing to meet these threats?
With the wolves at the door you would think that freedom minded people would gather together, stand together, to defend their rights, but you would be wrong.
Each day Americans are informed of more regulations covering every aspect of their lives. Each day the U.S. government grows at an exponential rate. It is not as if this can continue indefinitely, something will eventually have to give. What can you do to help change the course of history? How can you as one person make a difference? Let us start with the assumption that you want to do something about what is happening, because the majority of Americans do not want to be disturbed by having to think about these things. We will discuss upcoming events, directions the program is going and how you can help, not just with Appleseed, but with your family, your community, your county, your state and your country.
Where are we in the current Revolution and what does it mean for you. We are in the dark days of the winter of 1776 and what happens in the next few weeks will determine how the story ends this time. Why you should never let your ego get between you and the m,ission, and what exactly IS the mission. I am trying to get Rifle Woan to come on and give us an admin update and I am going to appeal to the audience to use all the current forms of electronic news spreading software to push the Appleseed Project.
In the American Revolution never was the outcome assured. In the early days many ere ready to stand up for their rightss and liberty...for a little while...or until things got rough, or cold, or they ran out of money...or food....or warm clothes...or when it looked like it might not go so well for the Colonials, then they picked up their gear and went home. We can not afford to repeat the mistakes made
