Manager of the YearSouthampton's Ronald Koeman was our favourite for the best manager in the league this year. Putting together a stunning Southampton team that definitely exceeded all expectations and was able to deliver high value and high entertainment with much lesser in terms of resources. And all that after a summer in which the team was gutted of its stars.Jose Mourinho (Chelsea) was also up there in our discussion, only just missing out to Koeman.Player of the YearNo surprises here, with Eden Hazard winning the Player of the Year Award vote unanimously. Hazard probably had an outstanding season for Chelsea coming through many times when Chelsea needed the 3 points. He has established himself as a proper world class talent and a definite threat for next year.
Young Player of the YearOur Young Player of the Year is Harry Kane, Kane has been in superb form for Tottenham this season despite starting the campaign as third-choice striker, netting 30 goals in all competitions for the club while also scoring on his senior England debut.
Goal of the Year
Our pick this year was tough - the only contentious choice in the whole awards. After much debate, we settled on Charlie Adam's long range strike from his own half to beat Chelsea's Courtois.
Honorable mentions to Jack Wilshere (Arsenal) for his last day volley against West Brom, Juan Mata for his bicycle kick against Liverpool, Coutinho for his strike against Southampton, and Graziano Pelle (Southampton) and Charlie Adam (QPR) for their flick and volleys against each other's teams.

Transfer Hit and Flop of the YearUnanimously, it was Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez who cost the club £42.5 million but provided many many more times that value. He settled in faster at Arsenal than it takes Real Madrid to fire Managers. Contributing nearly 24 goals in all competitions, Alexis, is one to watch out for.Our pick for flop of the year was Mario Balotelli. He was always a gamble, and turned out to be one that failed spectacularly. Just one goal all season despite ample playing time is a bad return for even most midfielders, never mind the supposedly lead striker. At least he didn't get in trouble, right?
