Hello Loyal Listeners and welcome back to "The Music of History"!! As promised, we have brought to you "The Music of History 1962", here in this Super Informative and long running program, where We will always ask the question, " Does the Time make the Music or The Music recall the Time?" We feature another great show from our series, simply entitled The 1960's.......
Soon The Music of History will be in cooperation with Bethune Cookman University in Florida, and in appreciation of the Historical Black Colleges and University's in these United States, "The Music of History" will be premiering, also a second show, our Brand New Entity, "The Music of Jamaican History". This newly created and Super Informative series will be formatted in an almost mirror image of its predecessor " The Music of History", but will now contain the History of Jamaica and the Music that went with it. Our pilot show , so to speak, will be on the "Rastafari" prophet Marcus Garvey and will lead into his United Negro Improvement Association. From there in that series on Marcus Garvey, "The Music of Jamaican History" will dive into the origins of Rasta Fari as its original title. Leonard Percival Howell or "Gong" was the First "Rasta" and the show will continue from there.
We are very Happy too have been able to announce this new adventure for our programs on Terrestrial Radio. We must give big props to Sylvester Polk and Horatio Walker, without these two gentlemen and as mentors to me, this would never have been possible.
