Life Finds Its Way Anyway w/Ingvar Tatura is another collaboration with the legendary Mr Tatura. His piece "Life Finds Its Way Anyway" moved me in a way that captures my heart, mind and musical soul. So here it is.

Soundcloud like life itself is full of surprises! I love life and the magic of living in such a strange world full of random and coincidence, ah but there are no coincidences you say. Well I agree and in that light: one day about a month ago a creative and witty artistic man sent me a message asking," -Are you interested in sonifying the poem below, based on the Beowulf-myth?-", I readily agreed. And after a bit of back and forth between Jo Richter- the artist poet in question- and myself the gauntlet was laid before me. I have to admit a few things as I told Jo, really I am not much of a slinging singer, but rather a fellow that makes music without words. Upon occasion I do write and try to sing or at least do justice in the story I am telling using my voice. It isn't easy and always a bit uncomfortable for me. But Jo insisted I use "use my voice" sonifying his poem.
I have to admit I was overwhelmed and some what intimidated at the task at hand. So after a bit of delay in making the track I sent Jo a message stating I was slow to make the track due to the homestead farm/ranch I live on. You see on our homestead we raise goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and ducks and that doesn't include the wildlife that is in abundance here in the mountains of Colorado, including birds large and small, black bears, mule deer, rabbits, coyotes, bobcats and mountain lions too. I imagine you get the idea of our mountain homestead reality.
Anyway, Jo was so excited to hear about all of the animals he suggested I use them in the piece, thus we had the basis of out collaboration. For me everything is about sounds. I always try to tell a story in the music I create as that is how I see myself as a storyteller with and or without words. So there you have it boys and girls the behind the scenes insight into our little work of art.

This piece was something I initially composed as a submission/invitation to the fabulous Agnostura Elwar. @agnosturaelwar. I was lucky enough for him to reply with something I believe that is something very special. In my mind at least, we seem to have some kind of chemistry together that defies distance, space and time. I hope you agree .
My dear friend Ingvar blessed me with a great guitar part and these kind words about this piece, " My brother from Wet Mountain Valley, Colorado, United States, mr. Re-Evolution Café Orchestra @re-evolution_cafe has sent me several great recordings for me to add something. Thats an honor, but also its hard work, hahaha."
"Well, this was challenging, I did it the free spirit way. It would have been easier to do it through the guitaramp, hi gain, load because then you feel the music much on your body than sitting with headphones and play. This is without a lot of rehearsal just because if I rehears to much I tries to hard to follow scales and harmonies, but this music aint about that. I think leaving music theory is good learning, be free from the chains."
I am lucky to have such a kind talented collaborator who is willing and able to risk playing so emotionally soulful. Bravo sir!
