Q1: My parents died a year ago and I am the trustee of their trust. I have been able to make most of the distributions but my dad had a stock account in his name. The stock account is worth $440,000 and the investment company won't let me touch it. They say I need to get a court order to get the money. What court order are they talking about? My parents have a trust, why do I need a court order?   Q2: I just bought life insurance and the company wants me to name a beneficiary. If you can't speak for yourself, you will need a Health Care Directive to appoint someone to speak on your behalf regarding healthcare, life support, and organ donation decisions.
