Hey Clubbers! UP IE Club's Anniversary is coming up once again and for our 54th anniversary special episode we have invited back some IE Club legends, or rather, Engineering Week Legends: Josh Juinio, Javi Mauleon, Onzo Hernandez, Rome Magtanong, and Julio Villenas! Hosted by Mio Gorospe, this episode will dive deep into how their friendship came about, and why IE Club remains to be an avenue where lifelong bonds are formed. Join us in this episode where they share their fun anecdotes, wild college stories, and advice to the younger batches!
It’s another wonderful time of the year! But for people buying gifts- it’s another stressful Christmas shopping season. Gift-giving is a strenuous task when going out there unprepared. In this episode, Julianne, Angela and Emman will talk about their favorite Christmas memories with family and friends. As the talk progresses, gift guides will also be revealed by our fellow clubbers. Let’s reminisce about the past and look forward to a stress-free shopping experience this season!
It’s spooky season, but the stories we’re going to tell are scarier than you think. Hold your breaths and grab your flashlights because this episode is about to get … lonely? In this episode, we’re going to explore what it means to be ghosted and the mixed feelings that come with it. What do you do when you’re ghosted? What do you do if they won’t leave you alone? What if the roles were reversed? All this and more in the latest episode of the IE Club Podcast!
“Inclusion elevates all.” But can an organization truly be inclusive with a rigorous application process? Have non-IE clubbers really felt welcomed throughout the semesters? When and why did the founders of the organization even decide to open membership to those outside the course? These are the burning questions that will put your favorite org on the hot seat! There are many reasons why IE Club attracts students every semester but once you’re in, you start to see the real perks of being a clubber. And just like with any organization, you start to see the cons of being a clubber as well. In this episode, we explore all these topics and more and hopefully, you’ll remember why you signed up for this in the first place.
It’s enlistment season! That means that it’s a jungle out there for Iskos and Iskas when it comes to getting the courses one wants, especially General Education courses or GEs. Some of you might wonder why GEs are needed or why it exists. For one, well it is required for undergraduates to take. Second, it is value adding. Third, well it could be because you might sit right next to a pretty girl or a cool guy and think you might have a shot at a relationship. Well for whatever reason that is, GEs are indeed part of the curriculum, and no one can take that away. GEs can inspire people or make them think deeper and more critically. Some GEs, well you could say, are just “walk in the park”. Others, you might need extra effort. In the end, it is all worth trying! This episode will talk and explore more about GEs. How it changed or shaped minds, how it influenced and conveyed perspectives, and how it can be used to explore and understand different areas in life.
The XTRA Pod is back for another season! Being a campus-wide student leader is one of the greatest feats a student could achieve. It takes a lot of grit, on top of one’s academics, to be able to give the best of one’s abilities. Students look up to them and rely that whatever they do, it is for the good of the whole student body. But how did they manage to handle pressure? Are they “built different” than most of the students? What inspires them to go for the extra mile? This first episode is a bit extra as we will listen and take a sneak peek in the real lives of student leaders both from the University of the Philippines Diliman featuring Iza Dolores, the USC vice-chairperson and JV Macaspac, one of ESC’s councilors.
Remember roleplaying as soldiers, astronauts, or whatever else your heart desired? Coming back with another app-led episode, we welcome the Berba gang– Jero, Renzo, and Paco– as they talk about their childhood dreams, where they are now, and who they aspire to be. Along with Carl, an IE Club applicant, join us as we listen to the ins and outs of org life with the pinsans.
For XTRA Pod’s first-ever app-led episode, we have guests Eloi, Rana, and Gab talk about the freshie culture then vs now, the highs & lows of their freshie life, and how IE Club helped in strengthening their friendships during their starting years. Marq, a 20B Applicant, takes these graduating besties along for a trip down memory lane!
Curious about the app process? What was Clubber life like before the virus? In today’s episode, we’ve got MemComm leads, Tomas and Ethan to share their thoughts and experiences from their app process. With the help of their host, Mac-mac, these two spend an hour’s worth of content talking about growth, life lessons, and maturity within IE Club.

What's up clubbers! In light of IE Club's 53rd annviersary as an org, we've prepared a pair of special alumni-centered episodes featuring former clubber undergrads and their life after college.
