🔥 The Deal’s Still On 🔥
Have you ever felt like God’s promises are taking too long? Maybe you feel like it’s too late, like the opportunity has passed, or maybe you’ve stumbled and think you’ve disqualified yourself.
But hear this: The Deal’s Still On.
👉 Abraham was 100 years old. Sarah was 90. The promise of God felt delayed, even impossible. Yet God reminded Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3:
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing… and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
✨ Here’s the truth:
Trust, not perfection. God’s promises don’t depend on your adequacy. They rest on His power.
No disqualification. Even when we stumble in fear, weakness, or sin, the cross has already purchased our redemption. God’s promises still stand.
Grace is greater. His grace overshadows every failure and fills every gap.
💡 If God has spoken it, He will bring it to pass. Delay is not denial. What He promised, He will fulfill — in His perfect time.

Create space for Him to speak. 6️⃣ Pay Attention to Dreams and Visions – God has spoken through dreams throughout Scripture—He still does today! 7️⃣ Test What You Hear – Align it with Scripture and seek wise counsel. 8️⃣ Be Willing to Obey – God often speaks to those who are ready to respond in faith. 9️⃣ Seek God in Community – Surround yourself with Spirit-led believers who can help confirm His guidance. 🔟 Trust the Holy Spirit’s Guidance – He will lead you into all truth when you surrender to Him.

About Kim Maas
For twenty-two years I was a professional nurse until I had a radical encounter with the Holy Spirit on March 22, 1994. The Lord led me to leave my career and serve God full-time. Since then I’ve been privileged to serve as a pastor in a local church for twelve years, I’ve written a few books that people tell me are good (I’ll take their word for it), I’ve traveled to some faraway places and seen our God do some amazing things. I’ve preached a heck of a lot of sermons, too, but who’s counting?
What really sets me on fire inside is helping men and women hear more clearly the voice of God and seeing them start to take steps forward with Him. There’s nothing like the feeling of knowing that you’re in God’s will and you’re moving forward, full of the Holy Spirit. About Glenn Burris
When Glenn Burris Jr. became interim president in 2009 and was elected a year later, The Foursquare Church was primed for a change. Many pastors wondered why they even needed to be part of a church network, and some in Foursquare began raising those concerns directly to Glenn. Though he had many obstacles to navigate, the church as a whole gratefully accepted Glenn’s leadership during that season.
Out of those realities, Reimagine Foursquare was born, and the 86-year-old denomination (now 97) started to make noticeable changes. Because of Glenn’s accessibility, including his prolific Facebook page, we experienced a leader who went far beyond the courtesies of typical executive leadership. When faced with tension, he took our calls, responded to our emails and flew out to our churches. “He broke the power-distance divide that haunts many organizations,” notes Ted Vail, vice president of global operations and director of Foursquare Missions International.
In 2013 Glenn, along with General Supervisor Tammy Dunahoo, visited each district in a series of Town Hall Meetings to learn what our pastors and leaders wanted Foursquare to become. Foursquare chaplains, missionaries and affinity groups were also integral to the conversations.
“Having the ability to spend several hours with our ministers in locations all across the country to listen deeply to their perspectives was worth every minute,” recalls Tammy. “It gave our eyes and hearts new clarity for prayer for them as well as better understanding of the needs we could meet and ideas for change we could enact. Glenn’s shepherd heart set the tone for each gathering, and we left feeling better connected and loving this Foursquare family all the more.”

Soon after the shock of losing my 23 year old son Dre to an apparent drug overdose, I set an appointment with Paul Kuzma a pastoral counselor who helps pastors and leaders overcome grief, pain and loss while they are in ministry.
All of us go through difficult loss in our lives, and each of us grieve differently. For me, I needed about 6 months of quiet healing with trusted friends and counselors, before I was ready to share about my loss publicly. I’m still in the grieving process, but already our story of loss encourages others.
In this interview with Paul Kuzma, we talk about being an emotionally healthy disciple and building emotionally healthy churches.

After the sudden suicide of her sister, Dr. Susan B. Mead sought Jesus to be her savior, healer and deliverer. Her faith was transformed from knowing about God to knowing God. A few years later, she lost her youngest son, Kyle to an accidental drug/alcohol overdose.

Fame is empty. It doesn’t satisfy. When God promotes, he doesn’t add any sorrow to it. It’s his hand that lifts us up, but usually there is a process. If we would be immediately promoted the moment that we first heard a word from the Lord, we wouldn’t have the character needed to sustain the great move of the Lord. It’s humility that proceeds honor. Humility paves the way for promotion.
If you are being promoted, it’s not for those you are going to serve. If you are being promoted by God, it’s for the advancing of the kingdom. Promotion by God doesn’t come from the east or the west, north or south. Promotion doesn’t come from striving or working hard. Promotion from the Lord comes by HIS hand. God rewards what we do in secret.
However, there is a fight that takes place as God is promoting you, it’s a fight with the enemy. We struggle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers.
1 Peter 5: 8-11, "8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
To walk with God and honor him, there will be promotions in your life. But don’t look to the right or the left or get jealous of someone else’s field. Look to the things God has called you to do and to be. Be confident as you follow him. He will promote you in due time.

Prayer transforms your character. Prayer creates a diligence in you as you seek God first. Humility is foundational to our walk with God. He created heaven and earth, and when we walk in humility we walk rightly with God and others.
Humility is not a poor self-image. Humility is not being hesitant or passive. Humility is realizing that your identity is in Christ. Humility is confidence placed in God.
“In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for
'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” I Peter 5:5-7

Tenacity is defined as "persistent determination". It is considered a good character trait since a tenacious character will achieve a goal they set despite any difficulties encountered while achieving that goal.
Tenacity means: To hold fast even when there’s resistance.
It’s kind of like a dog who got ahold of a bone and there is no way that anyone could get that bone away from the dog.
Part of the power of tenacity in prayer, is agreeing with what God in heaven has already determined. When we pray, we are carriers of his glory.
When you walk in the presence of God, you are different. People sense there is power flowing through you.
When you spend time tenaciously in prayer. You spend time with Jesus, and his authority flows through you. He has all authority in heaven and earth (Mathew 28:18) and he gives it to you to go in his authority and make disciples.

As we seek Jesus first in prayer, he reveals his divine call or purpose for our lives. We are called to love him and love others. Each one of us have a unique calling. You are his masterpiece. You've been created for good works that He prepared for you ahead of time.
Ephesians 2:10 NKJV, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Do you feel like you come to the end of the day and run out of steam? I need divine energy flowing through my veins.
I don’t want to walk in the flesh. I want the Spirit of God moving in me. It makes all the difference when I’m abiding with Jesus and filled with Holy Spirit.
Do you need a fresh dose of divine energy? Self-promotion is draining. It not only drains your energy it creates conflict in relationships. You are promoting yourself rather than the purposes of God in a community. When you think you’re more important than everyone else, that comes through in your attitude. It’s a selfish, lustful desire that sneaks into the hearts of Christians.
Prayer gives us an attitude adjustment. When we humble ourselves like Jesus did, his energy flows through us.
“What I’m getting at, friends, is that you should simply keep on doing what you’ve done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I’m separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13 MSG

Boldness is desperately needed in our lives to inherit the promises of God. When we come boldly to the throne of grace we acknowledge that God is good and He answers prayer. Jesus is your intercessor. He sent the Holy Spirit to be our advocate and comforter. Each of us need a childlike heart to come to Jesus and exchange our weakness for his strength.
Jesus is Our Compassionate King and Priest
“14 So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. 15 He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. 16 So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.” Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose. He conquered death, hell and the grave. He’s provided a promise for your eternity.
Jesus is the great shepherd. He had this plan from the time of our first sin in the garden of Eden. We are unable to save ourselves. We are unable to redeem ourselves. He’s a great high priest.
Coming to Jesus with a childlike heart, brings us close to Him in prayer.

Our prayers move mountains. We need courage in prayer to receive the promises of God for our lives. When Joshua was entering the promised land, God called him to be courageous and lead the people to cross the Jordan.
God said to Joshua: “ I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you— 4 from the Negev wilderness in the south to the Lebanon mountains in the north, from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea[a] in the west, including all the land of the Hittites.’ 5 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.
6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:3-8 NLT

Ephesians 4:26-27 AMP “Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. 27And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].”
The devil looks for an opportunity to gain access to your life through anger that leads to the sin of: a grudge, resentment, or bitterness. It’s like opening the door to the enemy and saying come on in and reek havoc here.
When you hold unforgiveness in your heart, it will hold you back from your destiny. Praying prayers of forgiveness can set you free.

Diligence in prayer is steady, earnest, and energetic effort to build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Diligence is required for you to become the person you are called to be. It calls for faith and perseverance. You are called to be diligent when you are opposed.
You are taking responsibility of what you are thinking and feeling.

“And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.”

Knowing Jesus intimately changes our lives. As we know him, we become like him. Jesus showed us the Father’s love.

Perseverance brings about the promises of God in our lives. Perseverance is a tool in the hand of God for miraculous provision. God is persevering with us. God always helps us come into agreement for God’s plans for our lives through perseverance.
There is often a gap of time between our sacrificial obedience and fruit. Sometimes we don’t even see the fruit of our decisions to obey God until eternity. We don’t always see things in our life time.
Caleb was 80 years old when he finally entered the promised land. He was a feisty man who claimed his land with the great joy of fulfillment. He passionately staked his ground saying “Give me my mountain” Caleb persevered and saw the fulfillment of God’s promises.
As we persevere in prayer, God’s promises are fulfilled.

Repentance is a change of mind, a change of heart, a change of will, a change of direct. It’s a complete life change. Repentance is a makeover God’s way. A makeover that makes us more beautiful because we look more like our maker.
When I was first learning to garden, I often found myself on my knees in beautiful Tennessee. In the spring I would be down on my knees planting flowers, then in the summer I would be down on my knees pulling weeds. There was one particular weed in my Tennessee garden that I was having trouble getting rid of. I would dig down deep and be sure that I had gotten the weed at the root and in a few weeks later when the rain fell it would pop up a few feet away. It had such a deep underground root system that I found Jesus using it as an example of my own sin areas.
As I was on my knees in the garden Jesus said to me, “This is what a besetting sin is like” The word besetting is from King James Version for Hebrews 12:1 and it refers to the primary area in your life that you’ve constantly struggled in. It’s a go to escape sin. Often a besetting sin is repeated through out the generations. For some people it’s sexual sin, pornography, it can be anxiety or fear patterns, It can be some sort of addiction, it can be self-indulgence over eating or over spending.
Cultivating a lifestyle of reprentance through daily prayer opens the gateway to the kingdom of God advancing in and through your life.

True Greatness is the opposite of fame and celebrity. Every one of us have been born for greatness. Greatness is summarized in Colossians 1:27 which says that the mystery is this: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Jesus said in Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Greatness is found serving others. Your greatness is realized as you rise up to the fullness of your calling through humility.
Everyone of us have been born with natural gifts. You have been fashioned uniquely in God’s image. Every single person on this earth is a treasure.
Understanding your identity as a son or daughter adopted by father God is key to greatness. It’s nothing that you’ve achieved, it’s found in the essence of who he’s created you to be. You are His joy and his delight.
You have a unique purpose in your life that’s only found through prayer and intimacy with Jesus. Who you are is multiplied with focus and power when you are set in place in a community of faith.
When you find your people, you’re able to fulfill your purpose even more fully. We come together and are able to fulfill a greater purpose together than alone.
