A show that talks about current topics, interventions and parent education from occupational, physical, speech, feeding and ABA therapies in pediatrics.
As teens with disabilities grow into young adults they are faced with many choices that can impact their independence. At TEAM 4 Kids an OT has created a class that promotes independence and with many activities of daily living called “The Game of Life”. The Game of Life class incorporates motor skills and executive functioning skills (such as following directions, problem solving and sequencing) to increase independence with these life skills. During this episode we talk with the creator of this group to learn more about how it works and if your teen might benefit from going.
During this show we will answer important questions about sensory processing. What it means? How is it an integral part of learning and development? If your child is diagnosed with sensory processing deficits, how can an occupational therapist help?
