@mind_over_mirrors is a podcast promoting discussion around mental health and ways of living freely, despite what today's culture and society may tell us.
A conversation about living in a fast-paced society. Sometimes trying to thrive in all areas of life can feel like pressure. Like playing a game. But is the game really worth it?
In this episode, Scarlett visits the Bless Network, a faith-orientated and community-focused organisation that does incredible outreach with refugees along the Presqu'île in Caen, based in Northern France. Bless’ mission has always been to see people discover and live out their calling. Scarlett is joined by Chloé Ménager who heads up S.O.S Chai, a project which delivers food and supplies to the refugee community in Caen, from an old refurbished ambulance.

For the purpose of this podcast we’ll be referring to the people we’ve been interacting with through SOS CHAI as ‘refugees’. Through conversation, we’ve established that it’s not always the case that people enjoy the label of refugee and the connotations which come with it. Whilst listening, please remember that every person that SOS Chai encounters is a unique human being with their story and their own family.
Scarlett is joined with good mate Hollie, as they discuss the navigation of life post-grad. Living in your 20s can be a whirlwind. Lots of expectations, pressures, and honestly, a few disappointments. Through all the ups and downs, there's always stuff to laugh at and moments where we can gain a new perspective. However you feel, and whatever stage of 20s you find yourself in, we're all winging it together!

Join Scarlett and Jake as they discuss men's mental health and how our culture can combat the stigma attached to it. Introducing, The Beer Bouquet, a brand new company enabling you to send a cold one in the post to a friend who needs it most. Jake's inspiration being this new project was to encourage chatting with a mate over a beer despite pubs being closed. A quick, easy and convenient way to check-in with mates.

Whether that is deleting social media for a few days or hiking down a mountain with a machete strapped to your back.
