Welcome back to another mind-bending episode of the Still Searching podcast! This week, I'm beyond stoked to have the one and only Mizter Bonezz join us. He's not just a dope musician, but also someone who's been through the wringer with mental health and come out the other side with some incredible stories and insights.
We're diving into how music can be a lifeline when you're struggling, and how it can help you navigate the ups and downs of life. Mizter Bonezz opens up about his own journey, the hurdles he's faced, and how his art has been a form of therapy.
But that's not all—get ready for some wild tales as we chat about acid trips and their impact on creativity and mental well-being. Mizter Bonezz shares his personal experiences with psychedelics, and trust me, you don't want to miss these stories. We'll explore how these trips have influenced his music and his view of the world.
So, if you're curious about how psychedelics can expand your mind, passionate about mental health, or just a fan of Mizter Bonezz's sick beats, this episode is for you.

Racial brownface is a variation of blackface in which a person imitates a person of Latin American, Middle Eastern, North African, Polynesian, Native American, and/or South Asian ethnic origin. This can be done using makeup, hair-dye, and/or by wearing traditional ethnic clothing to make a person appear as though they belong one of these "brown" ethnic groups. It is typically defined as a racist phenomenon, whether or not the offender intended to be racist.

Here's my face to asphalt story. Enjoy.
Music by Peace 586
Luke 10:25
A Samaritan traveling the road came on him. When he saw the man’s condition, his heart went out to him. He gave him first aid, disinfecting and bandaging his wounds. Then he lifted him onto his donkey, led him to an inn, and made him comfortable. In the morning he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take good care of him. If it costs any more, put it on my bill—I’ll pay you on my way back.’
“What do you think? Which of the three became a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers?”
“The one who treated him kindly,” the religion scholar responded.
Jesus said, “Go and do the same.”

God of Grief
We weep with all those who have lost too much lately.
We acknowledge our brothers and sister that were taken by the evils of whiteness, racism, and violence.
Ahmaud
Breonna
George
Three names in a list too long to mourn.
We pray for mercy.
We pray for compassion.
We pray for justice.
God of Justice
We pray your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Forgive us as we have done so little to bring about your vision for this world.
Deliver us from this evil and oppression, violence and sin.
Recognized and unrecognized.
God of creation
You created the universe and everything in it and call all people your children.
So we pray for the end of our systems and institutions of racism.
Of Poverty.
Of hunger.
Of homelessness.
Of hatred.
Of war.
Stir our imaginations for active hope.
God of Peace
Keep your promises to the meek.
There is no justice unless there is justice for all.
God of the Great Reversal
Blessed are the poor.
Blessed are the peacemakers.
Blessed are those who can’t stop the tears.
Turn our sorrow into dancing and our mourning into joy.
May we work together for common purpose and peace as your people called to love.
Amen. -Ryan Pryor
Statement of Solidarity
Prayer of Lament
Dear Black Son
Pray with our feet
“Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit. He said, “There was once a judge in some city who never gave God a thought and cared nothing for people. A widow in that city kept after him: ‘My rights are being violated. Protect me!’
“He never gave her the time of day. But after this went on and on he said to himself, ‘I care nothing what God thinks, even less what people think. But because this widow won’t quit badgering me, I’d better do something and see that she gets justice—otherwise I’m going to end up beaten black-and-blue by her pounding.’”
Then the Master said, “Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?””

Graffiti is a term that dates back to Roman times and refers to etchings found in places like the Catacombs. It originates from the Greek word meaning simply “to write.” But modern graffiti is the visual art form of the global hip hop culture. With such affiliation, it connotes participation in a counter-cultural movement. Graffiti is the “voice of the streets”; it’s both a cry and a shout. Theology is simply “God-talk” (from the Greek words theos for God and logos for logic or word). But theology is sometimes thought of as little more than philosophical syllogisms about God. However, theology is much more than that. Theology is also the sum total of one’s thoughts about God, the world, humanity, the Church, and the future. Every person brings their whole self to theology. T.C. and I have a delightful conversation about our faith and tackle the popular subject of faith deconstruction.

Welcome to the Still Searching podcast where I interview my friends and we talk about the stories that shape us on this journey called life. Some people know what their searching for and others have no clue, either way the stories are worth sharing. Sometimes this show takes a very serious turn in talking about mental health issues and spirituality and other times it's just fun and OG Bubba Kush smoke.
