Jesus condemns the religion and ministries of the Jewish leaders by using the critiques of the Old Testament prophets.
The religious leaders confront Jesus and question Jesus' authority. Jesus authoritatively stuns and stumps them and proves yet again, He IS THE Authority.
Jesus is angry with the Jews because they have missed the entire point of their religion. The cursing of the fig tree and the flipping of the moneychanger temples shows this. We need to take note. Are we doing the mission?
Jesus enters into Jerusalem to take the city and the world by the storm of His humble, yet powerful, death, burial and resurrection!
Do you see with humble eyes? Only those who are desperate for Christ and dependent on Him can truly see Him and follow Him.
Jesus came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. We are called to serve like Him.
Jesus challenges the rich young ruler: do you love God more than wealth and what it says about your goodness and performance ability?
Will you enter the Kingdom of God? How can you? With faith like a child. Listen in to learn what that means.
When we despise or cast out believers in Jesus who we don't agree with or feel comfortable with, we cause a wound against their simple faith. The penalty for doing this is the terrors of Hell for the unrepentant divisive person.
Jesus teaches us to focus on the main thing: HIM. And to love and respect others in Christ who do things differently than we do.
Jesus heals a demon possess boy to show the healing of humanity by the power of faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus shows His disciples that He alone is the only Son of God and the one who will establish the Kingdom of God. He says that the Kingdom will come and they will see it before they die. Do you see Jesus as the Son and the King?
Are you ready to lose everything for Jesus and the mission of the gospel? Your rights? Your freedoms? Your security? Your life? If doing so spreads the gospel and name of Jesus? This is true Christianity.
The more you demand a miracle in order to believe the less you will believe the miracles you've already seen (especially the miracle at the cross and empty tomb).
Jesus shows church people that reaching our neighbors, even when we are different from them and disagree with them, is the ultimate mission. We fight for souls, we don't fight for our rights or religious status.

The heart is the target. Sin is not overcome by external regulations but by internal transformation.
Jesus confronts Legalism and the abusiveness it unleashes on others even while claiming to be holy. It breaks the commands of God to love Him and others by hating others and loving self.
The only way to have true religion is to experience God's unmerited love as a humble beggar. If you try to earn it through laws and regulations, it will only make you holier than thou and a hypocritical worshipper of God.

The feeding of the 5,000. Jesus has compassion on you when you feel like a wandering sheep in the crises you face. He will feed you and teach you. He will satisfy you by His great love for you!
Disciples are required to proclaim Jesus and His message of salvation from judgment. That last part will not win you many friends. Are you willing to experience rejection and even death for God like John the Baptist did?
A disciple must do the ministry of proclaiming repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We can't just be receivers of biblical information and pursuers of spiritual formation. We must be missionaries of Gospel Transformation. But that means many will reject you. Are you willing to still follow Jesus' lead?
Sometimes it is hard to believe Jesus is who He says He is. Ask Him for belief and to help your unbelief. If He is truly God, He WILL answer that humble prayer.
Jesus has Authority over Demons, Disease and Death. And He will save all who have faith in Him.
Jesus heals the man with a legion of demons. Jesus has authority over ALL names and authorities.
