Since late 2017, after several Simply The Story instructors completed a training, Bible storytelling has permeated the Lemba congregation in Zimbabwe and reached into fringe sects. People are being impacted and an Oral Bible School has been planted.

Nestled away in the remote areas of Zimbabwe, lives the Lemba people. Their blood lineage, as well as their history, traces back to Israel around the time of their return from the Babylonian exile. After settling in Yemen for centuries with their foreign wives, the Lemba people suffered persecution when Islam arose. The people then crossed the Red Sea and into the horn of Africa and finally settling in Zimbabwe, Mozamique and other places. Their Jewish roots, religious practices, and holy ceremonies stem from the Scriptures. Some of the Lemba people are the Messianic believers who have placed their trust in Jesus, or Yeshua, as the promised Savior.
Hear the story of what God is doing in their midst from Bill Bjoraker, a professor in Jewish history and Messianic studies, as he interviews Godwill and Rumbi.

Jesse Walters loves God's Story: From Creation to Eternity and has led the charge to translate this 80 minute program into all of the languages in Ghana. God was not subtle in the way He moved Jesse out of retirement and into this project. Jesse says, we just need to obey God. "God's Story", starts in Genesis and spans the Bible giving people a meta-narrative or overview of Scripture in a storytelling format. Uniquely designed with two-thirds Old Testament and one-third New Testament, many people have testified of the impact of this incredible resource. Andrew, well trained in Seminary, realized his propensity to share information the way he learned did not translate well in Mexico. At the beginning of his ministry, he felt that when he invested "1" the return would be "10." After awhile Andrew felt that the return diminished greatly. Andrew's excitement in finding STS has affected the way he shares the Scriptures with people. He has even done interactive Bible stories from the pulpit to more than 600 people a a time.

Dick and Charlotte Day traveled to Malawi in 1990 after they retired and discovered a great need. Many children had been orphaned due to the aids epidemic leaving the "gogos" (or grandmothers in the Chichewa language) to care for their young. What started as a 1 year missions trip for the Days, turned into multiple programs for discipling, parenting training, early childhood development, feeding programs, and all with a Biblical focus.

Billy has been using Simply The Story (STS) Bible discussion method in Uganda since his children were little. Several years later, surprised that the lead instructor welcomed his children to attend an STS training in Ireland, Billy, his wife Joanna, and the 3 little ones chose to join him. Billy compares his PHD studies with what his children discover in the Scriptures akin to looking at the trees and sometimes missing the forest.

Mark Perkins, the CEO of Davar Partners International (DPI), shared about the re-focus of DPI and why. He is personally impacted by the need for more of the Scriptures being recorded. With almost 7000 languages in the world, only 9% have a full Bible, and worse, about 1% of the full Bibles are in a recorded form. However, a majority of the world (80%) are oral learners. This means many people can't read, barely read, or often choose not to read even when they can.
