It's Baptism Sunday this week, May 29th at 10:30 am! Come and celebrate with us, as our 7 baptism candidates take this next step in their faith journey!
The title may seem like an insult to some of us, of course we like to worship! All of us like to sing songs that honour Jesus and we always like to say great things that lift up our God. But in the grand scheme of things, it comprises just a small portion of what it means to be a worshipper of God. So what does it take to be a true worshipper of God?
Countdown starts at 10:45 a.m. After that, one of our Pastors will have another great message to challenge and encourage us. All in all, we will be together for about 45 minutes. Our belief is that God has something powerful to say to you today. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your weekend with us. Watch on Facebook, YouTube orwww.bethelbrandon.ca
Weve all seen something rust before, whether on an old screw, old tools, or the back of our cars, but we know that they don't start that way. Just like time has an effect on metals, it can also have an effect on our hearts. This week pastor Bryce talks about how our hearts become rusted towards the Lord and how we can deal with it.
We are looking forward to an Easter celebration together! We have a unique presentation entitled The Three Pillars of Easter which will involve some multimedia presentation while we share the message of Easter. "The Blessings of a Surrendered Life" as we continue our study on the life of Jacob. Once Jacob was able to give his complete self to God it opened the door to bless him even further than he already had. "In what ways?" you may ask.
We continue the series, Lessons from a Guy Named Jacob. It involves the most impactful moment of his life and may make us conclude, Blessed are those with a limp for they will bless others through their limp. So what is the limp God has allowed in you that has drawn you closer to Him and allowed you to bless others?
We will be continuing the series Lessons from a Guy Named Jacob and we will be exploring the most powerful prayer recorded in the book of Genesis. It answers the question, How do I pray when I am between a rock and a hard place? We trust you will be blessed.

This week we continue to dig deeper into the life of Jacob. We will explore the fact that God is always moving us forward to a closer walk with Him. Jacob faced many crossroads that are not unlike the crossroads that we face today.
This week we continue to dig deeper into the life of Jacob. We will explore the fact that God is always moving us forward to a closer walk with Him. Jacob faced many crossroads that are not unlike the crossroads that we face today.
The drama of Jacobs story is not without its twists and turns and certainly reveals repercussions that we can easily relate to today. This week, as we hear about Jacobs marriages in Genesis 29 and 30, we are given a front row seat to seeing the harmful effects of envy, rejection, and disappointment.
We will continue to look at the life of Jacob who certainly had some incredible things happen in his life. One of the biggest events involved a time when the Spirit of God visited him in a unique way. It was so impactful in his life that he renamed the place Bethel, which means house of God. He needed a Bethel experience and we need the same kind of experience in our lives as well. How does that happen?
What do we do when we feel things arent going our way? What lengths will we go to ensure Gods hand rests on us?
This February we will be looking at some life lessons of one of scriptures' most colourful Old Testament characters, Jacob. We can certainly relate to some of the episodes that developed his life and how God worked to change his name from deceiver to one who strives with God. Hope you can join us as we are challenged by his story.
We are all challenged to pray every day. It is our greatest weapon. Satan will do anything to keep us from utilizing this powerful time with God. Part 3 of the sermon series Why Pray details some of our most crucial ingredients to a successful daily time with Jesus!
We are continuing the series Why Pray with the title, Is There Not A Cause?. We will be highlighting the reality that the world needs a praying church to stand and pray in the midst of confusion, heartache and bondage. If we dont pray against the onslaught of the enemy who will?
Many times we make our faith too complex. Complexity usually happens when people try to avoid the simple. In the last part of this series, Keep it Simple Saints, we ask the question, Is it actually possible to serve Jesus without Jesus. Tragically yes it is. Ultimately this leads us to the truth that God is not seeking our efforts but to strive to intimately walk with Him.
Often our focus is the BIG win; a strong offense, the long pass, celebrating the touchdown and accomplishing all our hopes and dreams. But what about when everything is coming against you and life seems to be getting the best of you. Psalm 62:5,6 says, I depend on God alone; I put my hope in Him. He alone protects and saves me; He is my defender and I shall never be defeated. What is a defender? Do I need a defender? Is God really my defender? Our focus this Sunday will be what it means to have a defender.
In the North American culture we move at a fast pace and due to the speed with which we move we sacrifice certain things. Often the first thing to go is our time with the Lord, leaving us wondering why life has been so hard and why we feel so far from the Lord. This Sunday we will talk about the importance of being at the feet of Jesus and why we need that time in our day-to-day lives.
Join us as our Guest speaker Jeromey Martini from Horizon Bible college shares with us.
This weekend, Pastor Mike continues the challenging series, KISS, Keep it Simple Saint. It focuses on casting off spiritual complexity to simply love God and those around us. Jesus tells us if we can do this, it will change our world.
Pastor Mikes message is entitled, Something New. It centers on the thought that God is continually seeking to do something new and something wonderful in our church and in our lives. The challenging question that is left to us is whether we are willing to take that step with God into new horizons.
We will be continuing with the sermon series Keep it Simple Saints which focuses on pure faith in an impure world. We will answer the question, Am I a good neighbour?
We will be reflecting on a passage of scripture that answers the question, What does it really look like to serve Jesus? You might be surprised at the simple picture this New Testament writer draws. Is it the same picture that you draw?
Relationships are essential, exciting, frustrating and mysterious, like the caramel in the Caramilk bar. You dont know how it gets in there, but it takes chocolate to another level. Likewise, relationships take our lives to another level. Watch or listen to learn more about having healthy relationships.

"The Sole Soul Purpose" concludes the series, "Proverbs Greatest Hits." It is inspired by Solomon's many statements, leading us to a challenge to pursue the God-sized dream that happens when we align our ambition with His.
We are continuing to look at Proverbs's greatest hits. We want to examine one of the crown gems of the Proverbs which describes in detail the exaltation of a woman of noble character. There is no other place in scripture that paints a picture like this. It is one of the most wonderful and more intimating scriptures a woman can read. The question that we need to ask is, what are the factors that produce such a person?
A special Labour day message from Proverbs entitled, The Value of Prudence. How is wisdom different than prudence? How is this important for me? Listen and find out!
Amazing is defined as something that causes great surprise or wonder; its astonishing. When we really stop and think about it whether you believe in a God or not the storyline that the God of all that exists would even for a fleeting moment look our direction is Amazing. And that he is wanting to extend grace to each and everyone one of us defined as pardon, mercy, giving favor to the recipient is even more Amazing.

This Sunday we are continuing our study from the book of Proverbs with a message entitled, Big Lessons from Small Creatures. Usually, when we look for examples of people to model, we look upward to those who have accomplished great things. However, in one passage in Proverbs, it is proven that some of our biggest lessons are learned by looking down at some of the least desirable creatures. What lessons can we possibly learn from them? Come this Sunday to see this lesson that packs a punch and will challenge all of our lives.
We are continuing our summer series, Proverbs Greatest Hits through August. This Sunday we will be talking about The Call to Care. It revolves around a theme in Proverbs which asks us if we want to dedicate our lives to God's purpose. It forces us to ask what is our calling?
Hopefully, you are enjoying our summer series entitled Proverbs Greatest Hit. This Sunday we explore the complexities of one of the most popular verses in the Book of Proverbs. It is known as the Parental Promise (Proverbs 24:12). What you learn will challenge the way you see this verse.
Many dont realize how much Solomon discusses the importance of sexual pureness and fidelity in our lives and in our marriage. He also interweaves descriptive imagery of the damage and carnage left behind when we dont follow Gods directive in this matter. The Holy Spirit certainly makes this resonate today for those struggling to figure life in a morally confused society.
One ofthe most popular passages ofProverbs tells us to trust God so that He can direct our paths, but have you ever considered the fine print that comes with thisscripture?
One of the biggest needs we have as we look at the possible end of a pandemic and the return to regular life is the need for wisdom. To not only seek a direction for the best way to move forward but also a direction from a loving God who wants the best for us. Where do we find this wisdom? From the book of Proverbs. So throughout the summer, we will be examining some of this wonderful books timeless direction for our lives. The summer series is called Proverbs' Greatest Hits. Come and join us and see what God has to tell us through His Word.

Faith is not defined by the miracle, its found in the story leading up to the miracle. We hear stories of people doing amazing things, acts of faith, and then we get wrapped up in the amazing thing they did and forget that there is a whole story behind it. There was struggle, pain, joy, peace and so much more that happened before what we might call a great act of faith.
As a former athlete myself I admire so much in what they can achieve both mentally and physically. They continue to push the limits of their breaking points and keep on going, andthey do all this for one purpose to win the ultimate prize in their sport! The same can be said about us as believers, it's so important that we have that Ultimate Goal in mind, so join us this Sunday as pastor Bryce talks more about the Ultimate Goal as a believer!
Being a dad is tough. But I am not going to give you platitudes or complain about how society views fathers. Thats not a dad thing to do. A dad thing to do is to deflect with some humour, remind you how amazing you are, tell you you got this, help you and then tie it all up with a I am proud of you and I love you always! Thats a dad thing to do. Great websites that talk about mental health https://drgrantmullen.com/ https://www.brettullman.com/ https://headsupguys.org/
Forgiven? I'm sorry, can you forgive me? We all wrestle with forgiveness on some level, either receiving forgiveness ourselves or extending forgiveness to others. What does this conversation sound like when it's with the God of the universe? In this message, we'll be looking at what it means to "be forgiven.
Do you ever feel like you are not good enough? God believes that you are!!! Watch as Bryce explores the idea that we are "Perfectly Imperfect.
Does God ever quarantine us to point out areas that need work in our lives? Watch as Pastor Mike explores the idea that He does.
God has done a significant event in our lives. Because of the cross we are reconciledto God and brought into a close relationship with Him. As a result, God has given us a ministry of reconciliation, which includes not just our family and those who we associate with but the world that we live in. Christians are called to be at the center of reconciliationin every area, starting with seeing people come to know Jesus but not ending there. When we pursue reconciliation, we are exhibiting the love of God as well as investing in the heart of God.
Few will question the importance of Mother's Day even though it is a hard day for some. If there was one phrase to describe the importance of motherhood, it is, A mother will always sacrifice. That sacrifice is the first example we see that compares to the love of God for us. This message highlights the examplesof sacrifice in James and John's mother; in Samuel's mother, Hannah; and in Jesus mother, Mary.
Do you feel overwhelmed and dont know what to do about it? Watch as we learn how to handle weariness.
Here at Bethel Brandon, we love to look back at what God has done and look forward in expectation that He will do even greater things in the days to come. We want to celebrate Gods faithfulness to us in 2020 and build on that momentum in 2021.
We are exploring the devastating effects of shame and guilt and how they seek to shackle us to our past and rob us of our future. However, the Bible states for those who passionately follow Jesus that, Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!. So does the Bible tell us how to unshackle ourselves from the shame of the past? Join us this Sunday and find out. Amazing Grace Video

It is a great sermon of encouragement for all of us who face challenging times. It is also a perfect message to invite a friend who is searching for truth in their life to hear. My hope is that it will minister to all of us.

Baptism is a special time where we celebrate a life changed by Jesus. A key moment in our journey to or back to Jesus is when we ask for forgiveness and commit to follow Him. Baptism is a symbol of turning away from our sin and selfishness to serving the Lord, where a person is briefly submerged in water, representing the death of our old self, and raised back up a new creation.
