Welcome to Open Door Politics where the purpose of this podcast is to have an open and factual discussion of modern day events that have political implications. This discussion is between two individuals with fundamentally opposing views on how to make the best national progress and what that means for you.
Joel and Jason take the time to break down what it actually means to defund the police. No speculation, no assumptions, just facts. While they may not agree on the methods, they both know a much different and, hopefully, more peaceful nation is in the near future. To finish the episode, they take the listeners through what Jason believes to be one of the most pivotal singular events to happen in America's recent history.
With the current state of the nation being one of frustration, pain, and suffering immediately following the events surrounding George Floyd's death, episode 7 guides listeners through a complicated look into the American right of protest, the power it conveys, and its meaning in today's world.
Episode 6 picks apart some facts and some misinformation about the dangers of mail-in voting, why Nancy Pelosi and the left is pushing for national mail in voting and the very real presence of voter fraud. The second half of episode 6 describes how politics has been so pivotal in the progression of Black America while Joel and Jason also touch on two of the most recent racist events in the US.
Episode 5 brings Joel and Jason to the table with two very different views on what the 3 Trillion dollar Covid-19 aide bill, that was just passed in the House, spells for the future of our Country. In the second half of the show, Jason really digs deep into the worst 25 cities in America based on crime, homelessness and health, and how the vast majority are run by Democratic Mayors.
