Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

It is in your most broken place that you can pray the most heartfelt and sincere prayers. One of the most intimate and authentic prayers is given by a woman in the bible is by Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:11.
The Spirit says come....
The days have turned to weeks, then to months and now the year is almost over. As the curtain is closing on the year, your feet are getting heavier. The road ahead is getting more treacherous and your strength is waning. Looking back at where you have come from is not an option, there is so much pain, heartache and disappointment back there. A pained wince escapes your mouth when you try to remember what your journey has been like. The last few months have been a world of hurt to you.
The Spirit says come....
Is there something in your life that is troubling you? If yes, have you prayed about it? If not, pause just now and turn your eyes the Lord God and talk to your Father in heaven. If you have but nothing has happened, continue until it does. There are many reasons why you should take every opportunity to pray. We should pray as the darkness of the evil one encloses those who neglect to pray. The whispered temptations of the enemy entice them to sin; and it is all because they do not make use of the privileges that God has given them in the divine appointment of prayer.
The Spirit says come....
Marriage is something that will influence and affect your life both in this world and in the world to come. A sincere Christian will not advance his plans in this direction without the knowledge that God approves his course. He will not want to choose for himself, but will feel that God must choose for him. We are not to please ourselves.
The Spirit says come....
But God sees some way, when miracles are well beyond our view
His Love saves the day, when fear would tell us there is just no use
You can look the whole world over for the meaning of it all
For the purpose that mankind has always sought
In the end you'll discover, there is no other answer
But God

The children of God are not left alone and defenseless. Prayer moves the arm of Omnipotence. Prayer has "subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire" --we shall know what it means when we hear the reports of the martyrs who died for their faith--"turneth to flight the armies of the aliens." Heb. 11:33, 34.

Have you ever thrown a stone into a river, lake or ocean? If yes, then you know that once the stone hits the water it causes ripples that grow bigger and bigger as they move further away from the point the stone hit the water. Are you aware that just like the stone you are hitting your family tree and causing ripples?

We are to keep close to the side of Christ, walking in the path of self-denial and sacrifice. We are in an enemy's country. He who was cast out of heaven has come down with great power. With every conceivable artifice and device he is seeking to take souls captive. Unless we are constantly on guard we shall fall an easy prey to his unnumbered deceptions.

If our minds are fixed upon the things that are eternal, and not on the things of earth, we shall grasp the hand of infinite power, and what can make us sad? .

But even more wonderful they become when spoken to us by our saviour who wants us to be happy and find joy in our relationship with each other.True love is not merely a sentiment or an emotion. It is a living principle, a principle that is manifest in action. True love is a high and holy principle, altogether different in character from that love which is awakened by impulse and which suddenly dies when severely tested.
Begin this year with right purposes and pure motives. Bear in mind that day by day your words and acts are recorded in the books of heaven. You must meet them when the judgment shall sit and the books shall be opened. If we connect with God, the source of peace, and light, and truth, His Spirit will flow through us, to refresh and bless all around us. This year may be our last year of life. Shall we not enter upon it with thoughtful consideration?

What a comfort it is to know that our heavenly Father always gives what is for our highest good—"that which we ourselves would desire if with vision divinely enlightened we could see all things as they really are" (Steps to Christ, p. 96).
It's natural to look back on our lives and think, "I wish I had known that back then." We are living in a masked world, and I am not only talking about the physical masks all are required to wear everywhere. Currently with the facial masks the covering of the nose and mouth, faces become more difficult to recognize and decipher. Now partially hidden faces will obscure those features that we rely on to convey mood and emotion. In the world today we are all masked in one way or another. Masks serve as protection against an environment perceived as threatening and dangerous.
This is the last week of the month of New Year. I should have uploaded my first podcast already but I decided things would be done differently this year. Instead of running off with everyone else when the year kicked in, I found myself holding back at the starting line. I wondered where I was going anyway, what was the rat race all about anyway? What if i waited a little longer for my gun to go off? I hadn't really had it go "bang", so why was I about to run off? Here I am waiting.
As we prepare to usher in 2021, it is important to note that power changes hands at the gate, how you position yourself at the gate determines how your year will pan out. Very important to note are two things: one is make sure Jesus is in driver's seat of your life & ALL sins MUST go including all cherished SINS. At the gates of the city, important decisions and verdicts were handed down. Controversies were settled there. Financial transactions were sealed there. Honour was bestowed at the gate. Blessings were pronounced at the gate… and curses were issued as punishment for offences at the gate.
We are now in the last month of the year. Eleven months are behind us, and we are tapering towards the close of the year 2020. No matter how your year has been, as you prepare to bid goodbye to this very unique year, think about taking time to count your blessings. The reference in giving thanks is 'Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34. Theodore Roosevelt's quote "“Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.”
Seasons are very important elements in our lives. In areas between the polar and tropical regions, daylength, temperature, and rainfall change through the year. These changes give rise to the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. These four periods of the year can mirror the different seasons of our lives. Seasonal changes affect how we live and what we wear. To survive these seasons we need to adapt to these changes. As the seasons change we are awakened to the impermanence of life and we realize the importance of embracing the present. I love the verse Psalms 90:12 " Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
Love at first sight is defined in Collins dictionary as the experience of starting to be in love with someone as soon as you see them for the first time. Is it possible for two people to meet and instantly know they are in love?
A traumatic event is defined as one that poses a threat of serious injury or death to oneself or others, and elicits feelings of intense fear, helplessness, or horror. Post Traumatic Growth involves the development of new knowledge, abilities, relationships or hope and confidence following a traumatic stressor in addition to recovering successfully from acute stress reactions. Religion and spirituality may play an important and complex role in the relationship between post traumatic growth and forgiveness. The personal importance of religion has been shown to mediate the relationship between forgiveness and post traumatic growth (Schultz et al., 2010) and forgiveness interventions have facilitated post traumatic growth in religion and spirituality (Luskin, Ginzburg, & Thoresen, 2005; Rye & Pargament, 2002).
Our heavenly Father measures and weighs every trial before He permits it to come upon the believer. He considers the circumstances and the strength of the one who is to stand under the proving and test of God, and He never permits the temptations to be greater than the capacity of resistance. I It is obstacles that make men strong. It is . . . difficulties, conflicts, rebuffs, that make men of moral sinew. Too much ease and avoiding responsibility have made weaklings and dwarfs of those who ought to be responsible men of moral power and strong spiritual muscle. We are too quickly discouraged, and earnestly cry for the trial to be removed from us, when we should plead for patience to endure and grace to overcome.

Abuse in all its forms is an important topic to focus on because many children of God globally are either dying or suffering negative consequences for their health and well-being as a result of violence and abuse. Christian's need to speak out because we are God’s hands and feet in this world and we represent His love and healing power. The bible says “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble” (I Peter 3:8, NIV). Violence impacts everyone women, children and men.

In Luke 11:1 Jesus is praying. Watching from a distance are his disciples. With the prayer done one of them asks him "Lord, teach us to pray." I am trying to imagine what kind of prayer he said. Each word seemed to open the heavens. The prayer moved them into the very presence of the unseen God. The desire to learn to give such a prayer prompted the request. Teach us to pray!

Its often said women are their own worst enemy and that there's nothing out there worse for women than themselves. The curtain falls on the life of the strongest man that ever lived. In the arena with his enemies who want to make him a spectacle as they celebrate, in sacrificing to their god Dagon for delivering their enemy(Samson) into their hands.
Samson gets one more chance to do that which he had not been able to do since he was imprisoned, after the lovely Delilah betrayed him. In shackles and blind - spending his days grinding in the philistine prison; Samson comes to himself and takes this one chance to kill more philistines than ever did before, he too died with them.
Meet the God of second chances at the healside - he will give you a second chance if you cry out to him for mercy as Samson did in total surrender. Remember a broken and a contrite heart he will never turn away. There is hope in your darkness and despondency - a hand is waiting to lead you into abundant life - go on take it.
