Happy Gemini Season Y'all!

LYRICS to Fantasy by Earth Wind and Fire

"Every man has a place, in his heart there's a space

And the world can't erase his fantasies

Take a ride in the sky, on our ship, Fantasy

All your dreams will come true, right away

And we will live together, until the twelfth of never

Our voices will ring forever, as one

Every thought is a dream, rushing by in a stream

Bringing life to our kingdom of doing

Take a ride in the sky, on our ship, Fantasy

All your dreams will come true, miles away

Our voices will ring together until the twelfth of never

We all, will live forever, as one

Come see victory, in the land called, "Fantasy"

Loving life, a new decree

Bring your mind to everlasting liberty

As one

Come to see, victory in a land called, "Fantasy"

Loving life, for you and me, to behold, to your soul is ecstasy

You will find, other kind, that has been in search for you

Many lives has brought you to

Recognize it's your life, now in review

And as you stay for the play, fantasy, has in store for you

A glowing light will see you through

It's your day, shining day, all your dreams come true

As you glide, in your stride with the wind, as you fly away

Give a smile, from your lips, and say

I am free, yes I'm free, now I'm on my way

Come to see victory

In a land called, "Fantasy"

Loving life for you and me

To behold, to your soul is ecstasy

You will find other kind

That has been in search of you

Many lives has brought you to

Recognize, it's your life now in review (ahh-oh)

Oh, oh, oh, oh"

I went outside my comfort zone and decided to use my personal tarot deck Mystic Mondays by Grace Duong.

In the tarot deck, the number 10 is associated with the last card of each of the four suits of the Minor Arcana: the Ten of Wands, the Ten of Cups, the Ten of Swords, and the Ten of Pentacles.

After reflecting on this episode it became clear to me why the number 10 popped up for both of the card recipients today. Each of these cards represents a completion (or end) or fulfillment of the energy of its respective suit. Overall, the number 10 in the tarot deck is significant as it represents completion, fulfillment, and the cyclical nature of life. Just PERFECT messaging for celebrating a new birth year.

The feeling of being backstabbed can be very difficult to overcome, but it is possible. Be patient with yourself and allow yourself to heal at your own pace.

Here are some strategies that may help:

  1. Recognize and accept your feelings: It is natural to feel hurt and betrayed when someone you trusted turns against you. It's important to acknowledge your emotions and allow yourself to feel them fully. Ignoring or suppressing your feelings can make it harder to move on.
  2. Evaluate the situation objectively: Take a step back and try to look at the situation objectively. Was the person really trying to harm you, or did they have other motivations? Was there anything you could have done differently to prevent the situation?
  3. Talk to someone you trust: Talking to a trusted friend, family member, or therapist can help you process your feelings and gain perspective on the situation. They may be able to offer support and guidance on how to move forward.
  4. Focus on the positive: Instead of dwelling on the negative experience, try to focus on the positive aspects of your life. Spend time with people who make you feel good, engage in activities you enjoy, and work on personal goals.
  5. Let go of grudges: Holding onto anger and resentment towards the person who backstabbed you will only harm you in the long run. Try to let go of these negative emotions and focus on your own healing and growth.

Repairing a broken family is not an easy task, and it requires effort and commitment from all family members involved. It's important to work towards a common goal of healing and creating a healthier and more positive family dynamic. Here are some steps that can help:

  1. Communicate: Open and honest communication is essential for repairing a broken family. Encourage all family members to share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. It's important to listen actively, acknowledge each other's perspectives, and work towards understanding each other's points of view.
  2. Address underlying issues: Identify the root causes of the family problems and address them directly. This may involve seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor who can facilitate communication and provide tools and strategies for resolving conflicts.
  3. Set boundaries: In some cases, setting boundaries may be necessary to protect your emotional wellbeing. This may involve limiting contact with certain family members or establishing clear guidelines for behavior and communication.
  4. Practice forgiveness: Forgiveness is an important part of healing and repairing relationships within a family. It's important to let go of past resentments and hurts and move towards a more positive future together.
  5. Focus on the positive: Instead of dwelling on past problems, try to focus on positive aspects of the family relationship. Celebrate each other's accomplishments, share joyful moments together, and work on building new memories and experiences.

Today’s episode is called End and thanks to Frank Ocean for the inspiration in naming it that.

"All You Need Is Love" was released by The Beatles as a single on July 7, 1967 (only a couple weeks after the day I was born) and it quickly became one of the band's most popular and enduring hits. The song's message is simple and universal: that love is the most important thing in life and that it can conquer all obstacles.

The song's lyrics advocate for a world where love and understanding are the primary values, and where people can overcome their differences and live in harmony. The chorus, with its repeated refrain of "All you need is love," captures this message in a simple and memorable way.

Overall, "All You Need Is Love" is a celebration of the power of love to transcend borders, barriers, and conflicts, and to bring people together in a spirit of unity and hope.

The message of "All You Need Is Love" can be seen as related to the concept of the heart-mind connection as well , which is the idea that the heart and mind are interconnected and influence each other in various ways.

From a psychological perspective, the heart-mind connection refers to the idea that our emotions and feelings are not just experienced in the heart, but are also processed and influenced by our brain and nervous system. For example, studies have shown that positive emotions such as love, compassion, and gratitude can lead to changes in brain activity, hormone levels, and immune function, which can in turn have a positive impact on our physical and mental health.

In the context of "All You Need Is Love," the song's message can be seen as promoting the idea that love is not just an emotion felt in the heart, but is a state of being that involves both our hearts and minds. By embracing love and compassion, we can create a positive feedback loop between our emotions and our physiology, leading to improved health and well-being.

The song's emphasis on the power of love to overcome divisions and promote unity can also be seen as related to the heart-mind connection. By fostering feelings of love and compassion, we can create a sense of connection and empathy with others, which can in turn lead to greater understanding and higher vibrating harmony in our relationships and communities

The concept of love can also factor into the idea of "rest as resistance." (The messaging behind The Nap’s Ministry’s Rest Deck and overall philosophy”. Love can be seen as a powerful force that motivates us to care for ourselves and others, and to resist the harmful societal norms that prioritize productivity and work over well-being and self-care.

In the context of "rest as resistance," love can motivate individuals to prioritize rest and self-care as a way to show love and compassion for themselves and others.

By honoring and nurturing this love and compassion, individuals can resist harmful societal norms and create a more sustainable and compassionate world.

Topics that arose in this reading:

Finding your purpose involves self-reflection, exploring your passions and values, and setting goals. Consider what activities bring you joy and fulfillment and how you can use those skills to contribute to the world. Remember that finding your purpose is a journey, and it may take time and effort, but the process can really be rewarding and fulfilling.

Is envy the issue? Well, one way to stop feeling envious of others is to focus on your own strengths, accomplishments, and goals. Instead of comparing yourself to others, try to appreciate your own unique qualities and work towards achieving your own objectives. It may also be helpful to practice gratitude and recognize the positive aspects of your life.

And also let's try to avoid blaming others for your problems by taking responsibility for your actions and decisions. We can focus on solutions instead of blaming others and try to see things from different perspectives. Also, practicing empathy and understanding towards others.

Living one's life is a journey that is unique to every individual, and some people believe that it is connected to their soul journey or spiritual path. This can involve exploring one's purpose, values, and beliefs, as well as developing a deeper understanding of oneself and the world around them.

Whew! Lawdy! This was a doozy! But good messaging fo sho!

This episode's theme is something we can all adhere to...

I decided to provide a bonus for today's recipient and the message from Louise Hay's Heart Thoughts helps to support the advice:

"Relax and enjoy life. Know that whatever you need to know is revealed to you in the perfect time/space sequence.

The prayer/affirmation:

"I am at peace. Today you are a new person. Relax and free your thoughts of all stresses and pressure. No person, place or thing can irritate or annoy you. You are at peace. You are a free person living in a world that is a reflection of your own love and understanding. You are not against anything. You are for everything that will improve the quality of your life. You use your words and thoughts as tools to shape your future. You express gratitude often and look for things to be thankful for. You are relaxed. You live a peaceful life."

Starting a new chapter in life can be exciting and may present opportunities for new experiences, including romance. It can be a chance to meet new people, try new things, and create new memories. While it may feel daunting at times, embrace the journey and enjoy the ride. Remember to prioritize self-care, communicate openly and honestly, and have fun. Best of luck!

When I think of home. This is about feeling at home within one's own skin instead of seeking it outside of yourself.

Focusing on authenticity can help you stay present by allowing you to fully engage with the current moment without distraction from past or future concerns. By embracing your true self and being honest about your feelings, you can cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and connection to the present.

That's wild cuz I just finished watching a series on Gaia from Joe Dispenza where he discusses some of these concepts; the known and the unknown.

Because I only had one card to read today, I've gifted the birthday girl with the essential meanings, the oracle message, the relationship message, the prosperity message and the protection message.

I was vibing to "Invocacion - Uji Remix" from the playlist DEEP Tribal Jungle House. I can hear it playing a bit so I hope I don't get blocked. Aye Aye.

Sometimes life hands you lemons. You know how to make lemonade right?

Cliche? Yes! The truth? Also yes!

The phrase "turning lemons into lemonade" means to turn a difficult or negative situation into a positive one. It's about finding the silver lining in a challenging situation and making the best of it.

Adapting after an epiphany involves taking action on the newfound insight or perspective. Consider the changes you want to make and create a plan for implementing them. It may also be helpful to seek support from others who can help you stay accountable and provide guidance along the way. Remember to be patient with yourself as change can take time.

Finding your authentic voice involves exploring your true self, values, beliefs, and experiences. Some tips to help you find your authentic voice include practicing self-reflection, identifying your unique strengths and talents, expressing your opinions and ideas, and staying true to your values. It may also be helpful to seek feedback from trusted individuals and to practice writing regularly. Remember, finding your authentic voice is a journey that takes time and self-discovery.

Topics that arose in this reading:

People with five senses rely on sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell to perceive and experience the world around them. Trusting your vibes refers to the idea of following your intuition or gut feelings in making decisions or judgments. It means tuning into your own instincts and using them as a guide. Trusting your instincts and being open to change can lead to a more successful outcome. Being intuitive and adaptable allows for openness to change and the ability to adjust to new circumstances. Don't resist the shared consciousness. Feeding the soul and being flexible as a means to confound the ego.

This NEW New and Improved series was really my way to store these birthday readings without using up space on my Google Drive. I'mma always be grassroots.

Just like a Gemini to workshop an idea in an IG live and bring it to life in less than a week...

I wanted to make good on my new moon in Aquarius affirmation to:

  • Realize the game.
  • Discover how to help people more.
  • Use humor.
  • Call the people that I love more.

I have no idea how that last one applies to a podcast but I'll find a way.

This week's theme is...

Leaving your comfort zone. Both readings hit on this. WOW! Cuz this is exactly what I had to do to re-vamp a podcast YET AGAIN.

Now come get y'all readings, I'm tired of explaining this ish.

Walking along the streets of gentrified Bed-Stuy after a disappointing meal at a local spot…

We’re talking cultural appropriation y’all.  Many tangents.  Many stops to look into some windows (why no shades people?).

Does my wearing a t-shirt proclaiming my love for Haiti, make me a cultural appropriator?

In honesty, I was looking for validation… I got it.  Mission Accomplished.

Thanks to Mandisa, Marjeth and Folash for their contribution to this podcast.

I am utterly confounded by the excitement behind this series.  What the hell am I missing?  I've scoured the internet (actually just the first page from a Google search) and I can't find one single like-minded person that agrees.

There's just so much more wrong than right.

Listen to find out why I think it's all a bunch of...hype.
