Welcome to my figurative apartment, my humble abode! Come in make yourself comfortable and let’s have a chat about life.
Here’s what I wrote in response to an assignment that asked me to describe a place that holds significant meaning in my life.
Rating: 3.5-4. This was a fun lighthearted read, full of adventure and thrill. The main characters were likable and endearing l, their banter and chemistry was top tier. Love them together I love that you can tell they really like each other as friends and lovers
I’m praying this feeling ends. But also embracing the process of being a human being with desires. In this episode I share my dissatisfaction with navigating dating and romance as a 20- something black woman. It’s crazy but I going to remain hopeful that love is mine and I’ll have it one day Lord willing.

Not me shooting my shot?! And not being good at basketball. But recognizing that I just started playing basketball for real. So I’m reminding myself to continue practice consistently to play confidently in the future. Doing all of that while exploring how the team I want to play for isn’t picking me. While simultaneously acknowledging that I don’t want to play for the team who’s picking me. And navigating what the means, what that says, and what I should do about it all.

Book: Magnolia Parks Rating: 3.75/5 Content/Trigger Warning: Sexual content included (it’s more fade to black but it’s still there) Substance/drug use and abuse Cheating/Affair Toxic codependent relationship
Overall: this book was entertaining heavy on the drama which was keeps you hooked but the romance is lack luster and subpar to say the least.
Characters and plot are horrible nothing good to say other than the fact that the drama was entertaining and that I like Christian Bridget and Jonah.
That’s it that’s all
Book: Make me Evelyn Sola Rating: 1.5/5 Content/Trigger warning: Emotional abuse mentioned Sexual content included Body Shaming
Overall: I do not like this book… here’s all the reasons why.

My thoughts: - drama was off the charts in this book - romance took the backseat but It started to ramp back up midway - I absolutely adore these characters - I was thoroughly entertained - it felt like I was watching a drama tv show - the writing was superb I felt - The author has a great gift and ability to write intense scenes which I enjoyed

To all the boys I’ve liked before: you’ve taught me so much. You’ve shown me a lot. You’ve allowed me the opportunity to grow. You showed me what I value in friendships and In romantic relationships. Even though you weren’t the ones for me, you in a way, prepared me for the one for me. And for that, I thank you. Yours Truly Kamari 🦋.

Essence of the podcast: our actions should not be dependent on others reactions. Jacob Wrestled With God: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%2032%3A22-32&version=NIV The new life sermon spoke about how when Jacob finally stopped fronting and admitted his name, that’s when God gave him his new identity in him—someone who would be father of many nations.

I recognize that my perspective on this topic is very limited. I am a black American therefore I can only reference my knowledge concerning my black American experience . So with that being said I hope to continue elaborating on this topic in the future while also adding more of a diverse and well rounded perspective on these issues. I hope you enjoy nonetheless.
