Welcome to Rev Stella Ebegbuna's podcast, where Jesus takes the reins. Discussing everything pertaining to walking with Jesus and pleasing him.
Jesus wants you to be ready, specific and delberate in the place of prayer. Make the most of every opportunity that God gives you. Like blind Bartimaeus do not allow the crowd to drown your voice.
Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? Even as we are on locked down in a seeming unending pandemic most believers are asking the same question what next Lord, what are you doing? Lord please throw us some light. Jesus's response can be found in Acts 1:6-8
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. "
Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Mark 4:38-39 "...Master, care thou not that we perish?...." The disciples believed Jesus did not care because he allowed the storm, he left the storm to rage without immediate intervention and he did not arise to help them until they cried out to him by waking him up. God always expect faith from us, faith in Him and His purpose. His word is dependable and He will never abandon His own.
"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Joshua 1:8
"A good man obtains favour from the LORD, but a man of wicked devices He will condemn" Proverbs 12:2. As you find favour with God, God will give you favour with men. You need to go out of your way to pursue God and grow in favour with Him.
Mark 5:18-20 "....Go home to your family and tell them how much the LORD has done for you, and how he had mercy on you...."
James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of Life that God has promised to those who love him."
Proverbs 2:6-7 "For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth cone knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk."
Matthew 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men." Jesus wants you to retain your saltiness.
Matthew 6:25-27 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life." Do not worry about your life. Worry does to improve your life span neither can it change circumstances. Trust God!
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified do not be discouraged for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Psalm 100:4 Praise should always precede petition. The LORD wants to inhabit your life through your praise.
Mark 11:17 "And as he taught them, he said, 'Is it not written: My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'?
Jesus cultivated a life-style of prayer. He rose up early in the morning and away from where others could here or distract him. He showed us the importance of dependency upon God.
