Magic Kingdom was the most visited theme park in the world in 2018 and has recently been ranked as the 2nd most popular place in the world to propose.
While I would never discount the magic of a proposal in some of the most popular Magic Kingdom locations like in the middle of Main Street USA overlooking the Cinderella's Castle, those popular spots are not for everyone. I'm sitting down with my recent bride Kelly to talk about how she planned her Mackinac Island destination wedding in northern Michigan.
Kelly had been dreaming of a wedding on the island for years and when her Fiance Bobby (who had never traveled there before) agreed to it, they immediately began planning. They decided to host their event at Mission Point Resort over Labor Day weekend. Living eight hours away in Illinois and not being able to visit the venues during the winter, they had to play some of the planning by ear.

I'm sitting down with Disney travel planner Katie Fisher, from Pictures and Postcards Travel, to talk about how to plan a bachelorette party trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Katie and I met in 2001 when we were both interns with the Disney College Program. We both come from Disney loving families and Disney is part of our everyday lives. As a travel planner, Katie helps travelers from all over the United States plan and get the most out of their Disney vacations.
With the increase in popularity of traveling bachelorette parties, we know that not every bride is a Vegas party girl. Some brides might be more excited about the magic of the Disney Parks. This episode is for her bridesmaids to plan a girls trip she'll never forget!
