Helping Entrepreneurs, Digital Marketers and Affiliate Marketers with simple and easy to implement online marketing tips to help create a passive income through affiliate marketing.
Hey, hey, welcome to Michelle's Online marketing made easy Podcast!
Before jumping ahead into creating your sales process, you need to take the time to build your value ladder. In short this is your products and services mapped out in ascending order of value and price.
To start you want some kind of lead magnet. Something you can offer for FREE. Goal in this step is to capture leads and qualify them that they are the right customer.
EX: Checklist, guide, video free sample or a trial.
Your Initial Offer - Price would be under $10. Your goal here is to recapture your Ad spend and to continue qualifying your customer to ensure they aren't just a tire kicker. They are interested and need your products/services.
EX: Book, course, product
1st Tier - Price would be under $100. The goal with this step in your value ladder is to increase your profits and build trust with your customer.
EX: More extensive course, service, software, product
2nd Tier - Price would be under $1000. This tier focuses on recurring income and also increasing your profits.
EX: Course, membership, custom service you offer or product (buy one get one) or additional product at reduced prices.
Top Tier - Price would be OVER $1000. This is your final tier and again, focuses on recurring income and increasing your profits. This would be your most expensive product that you offer. Like a 1 on 1 coaching or a done for you service or even a master mind event.
As your customer moves up your value ladder they are offered more value. More can mean more than just more product, it could save people time as well. Your value ladder doesn't need to have 5 tiers but offering multiple value tiers at various price points give you more opportunity to give your customers exactly what they need.
An example of a value ladder could be for a say a clothing boutique, you could offer accessories for free or at a discounted rate. Like a purse, jewelry, belt, etc.
Another example, if you are on the online marketing space, you could offer a FREE guide to start a blog, or checklist for SEO Optimization, then when they put in their email address and you take them to the next step, you could offer a larger book for $7 with more information than the first FREE guide you offered. If they go ahead and purchase that product, you could then offer a course to buy with more in-depth training to help them with their online marketing. final tier could be 1 on 1 coaching. You understanding the basics of a value ladder now?
The Value Ladder is vital to any company wanting to sell products or services.

If you are currently selling a product or services, most likely someone else is selling the same product or services. You will have to have your own spin or twist on the product that you are offering to your customer to show them why they should buy from you instead of someone else. You have to build an offer that is irresistible, perceived as inexpensive but, packed full of value for your customers so you can serve them at the highest level. Make whatever you add to your offer unique to you and only available when they purchase thru you.
This leads me to your offer stack. What an offer stack is basically is an offer stacked full of value. You need to offer your customers some unique items to go along with the original product or service to show why they should buy from you. Some companies offer a buy two get one free. Some will offer a free guide of some sort.
Now you want to make sure that what you are offering is congruent with your product or services.
(Examples - weight loss guide with how to make money online product)
Creating offers will not be a one-time exercise, it will be something you do over and over again with each ad you post, or every email you send. It may be one of the most important roles you have as a business owner.
The hook is simply the headlines, images and videos that will grab your customers attention and get them to stop scrolling. This is the bait that will get them to come into your world so you can serve them and change their lives. What is the result that you are going to get for them? You will be at the busiest places online where your customers are hanging out and you need to throw out your best hooks to grab their attention just long enough to tell them your story.
The story is story selling. Just offering your customers a list of stuff is not going to get them to take out their credit cards. They need to be able to connect with you on an emotional level. They need to get to know, like and trust you. If you build that rapport with them and provide them the story behind why you are qualified to help them with their problems or pains.
I hope this episode has helped you with the bare bones of what is needed to get started selling your products or services. If you just try to tell people "hey buy my stuff", hey check out my website. Hey this thing is really cool, it will not go very well for you.
