Hey Wellness Warriors, the pod is back with a fresh new episode for your ears! I’m so excited for you all to listen to this one. On this episode, I sit down with Jennifer Tomlinson. Jennifer is the host of the Black Woman Be Well podcast and Interm Dean of Learning Support at Valencia College.
This episode was so fun to do y’all, I genuinely forgot I was interviewing Jennifer at one point! We laugh a LOT on this episode but Jennifer also gets serious with me and shares the steps she took to improve the well-being of her career and bring it into alignment with what her true purpose is. We also take a hilarious trip down memory lane in Best Breakup reminiscing about the dumb mistakes we’ve made in past romantic relationships. You don’t want to miss out on THAT conversation!
Enjoy, Warriors!

Hey Wellness Warriors, welcome back to another episode!
I know I say it almost every episode but I really do mean it every time, I’m so excited for you to listen to this episode! This week, I’m bringing you a conversation with my newest friend, the delightful Kristy Katzmann. Kristy is the host of The Life Unscripted Podcast and the former star of Fox’s reality dating show, Labor of Love.
Kristy is such a wonderful person with such an inspiring story. I can say first hand that her story changes lives because it changed mine! In the episode, we talk about how her financial health and her money mindset influenced her choice to pursue motherhood as a single mother and we discuss Kristy’s current recipe for her well-being.
Spoiler alert— caffeine is not a part of her recipe and I did not keep my cool about it!
Enjoy, Warriors!

Hey Wellness Warriors! I’m back with a guest this week and I could not be happier about it! After nearly a year of remote recordings, I sat down - socially distanced, of course - with my very dear friend, Cariluz Torres to record this pod. It felt so nice to sit in the same room and record an episode and you can definitely hear the excitement in my voice! Cari and I talk about a few things:
-How we met & the pole effect , AKA how pole dancing can be truly life changing.
-Cari’s yoga practice and the importance of discovering your Soul Family.
But mainly, we talk about Cari’s Occupational Pillar of Wellness and how Cari maintained her well-being throughout the big transition that 2020 brought her career. Enjoy, Warriors!

“Go in with purpose and intention”
Hey Hey hey Wellness Warriors! I am so excited to share this episode, I really really enjoyed my conversation with journalist Raquel Reichard (Latina magazine, Mitú, Remezcla). This episode was recorded in June during the beginning of the Black Lives Matter protests. We speak openly about how we’re processing everything that’s happening on the streets and how we’re showing up in the movement. We talk about how an incident in her 9th grade biology class would go on to change her life and influence her advocacy work within the Latinx community. And of course— we get into our highlights of the week and Best Break Ups!

“wait a minute…I think I might have done speed!”
Hey hey Wellness Warriors, I’m back after my lil breaky break with an episode that I had so much fun recording! I sat down with my longtime friend and Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Kelly Walker and learned all about Drugs. Okay, not all about drugs but we dip our feet in the pool of drug knowledge… from a medical standpoint. We talk about all types of drugs and what they do to the body, the importance of being honest with your healthcare professional and I ask all kinds of stupid questions because admittedly ya’ll, I’m very ignorant in this department. Also I discover that I might have taken speed when I was younger. …so yeah, it’s a fun episode!
