Jamilly Whitfield

Let’s take a moment to define Beauty. How does it look? How does it feel? How does it translate through you? In today’s world of social media platforms, like Instagram and Facebook, we often see various perceptions of beauty. We compare ourselves to others in appearance, status and style, focusing on the world’s definition of Beauty, and often forgetting about the beauty within ourselves. The journey to the Beauteous You is not yet defined -- or is it? My name is Jamilly Whitfield and I am the host and creator of “Beauteous Me”. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), mom, wife and career woman, I have over fifteen years of professional and personal experience with trauma, abuse and issues related to women. I’ve guided countless women through the journey of discovering their inner beauty despite the adverse experiences they’ve encountered in life. I will host candid conversations on universal issues women face on a weekly basis. If you are searching for everyday inspiration, in the midst of self-discovery and can contribute to our daily topics or just wish to hear some great conversations and advice, this is the place for you. In this episode, we delve into the topic of adrenal fatigue and its profound impact on physical well-being and mental health. Our guest, Maja Miller, is a metabolic health coach and functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner who uses clinical labs to analyze blood, urine, stool, hair, and more to determine why her clients feel burned out, exhausted, and sick.

Maja explains that adrenal fatigue is a term used to describe a cluster of symptoms that occur when the adrenal glands, small organs that sit on top of the kidneys, cannot produce adequate amounts of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Common symptoms include fatigue, insomnia, weight gain, brain fog, sugar cravings, decreased sex drive, and feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained.

Maja stresses that adrenal fatigue is a complex condition that can be triggered by a range of factors, including chronic stress, poor diet and lifestyle habits, food intolerances, hormonal imbalances, and chronic infections. She emphasizes that mainstream medicine often fails to recognize adrenal fatigue as a legitimate condition, leading many sufferers to be misdiagnosed or left untreated.

Maja then breaks down the intricate web of connections between adrenal fatigue, the gut microbiome, and the immune system. She explains that chronic stress causes the body to release a flood of cortisol, which can lead to gut dysfunction, leaky gut syndrome, and chronic inflammation over time. This, in turn, can cause autoimmunity, hormonal imbalances, and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

Throughout the episode, Maja shares inspiring success stories of clients who have transformed their health by addressing the root causes of their adrenal fatigue. She stresses the importance of taking a comprehensive, personalized approach that includes optimizing diet and lifestyle habits, addressing hidden infections, rebalancing the gut microbiome, and supporting the adrenal glands with targeted supplements and adaptogenic herbs.

Overall, this episode provides invaluable insights into the complex interplay between adrenal fatigue and overall health and well-being. Whether you are struggling with burnout and exhaustion or simply seeking to optimize your health, the knowledge and strategies shared by Maja Miller will inspire and empower you to take charge of your health and transform your life.

This episode is truly a connection between a therapist and a Self-Mastery Coach. This conversation was truly one for the books.

Andrea Lowell is a Self Mastery Coach from Long Beach, CA. After spending half of her life in the entertainment industry, she discovered it's not "being on TV," having a house on the beach, or a cool car in the driveway that equates to success. In fact, she was miserable when she "had it all." She used her own despair and hopelessness as the fertile ground for radical self improvement and personal growth. After an instant awakening in 2012, she put herself to work; inner work. And also by incorporated decades of research into Quantum Mechanics, Ancient Wisdom, and Self Healing! She discovered that by uncovering her core essence through radical self awareness, and coupling that with harnessing Universal and Natural Law, she not only became a manifesting master, but also Self Mastered! She put this blueprint-for-bliss into a course, “The I AM Everything Project,” at the suggestion of a client. She has now guided countless women, from any and all stages of their current personal development, personal pain, stagnation, or frustration, into Self Mastered queens! Her formula is proven and simple. She has discovered that by integrating her knowledge into a daily lifestyle, she has uncovered the keys to living drama-free, guilt-free, shame-free, and full of Self Worth, Self Love, joy, purpose, and ABUNDANCE! Andrea Lowell is happily married to her partner of 20 years, James. They love to spend as much time in Nature as possible, opting to overland and backpack for their vacations. They have found that the less they desire, the more they have and receive. Inner peace and Bliss are what Andrea has found to be the result of her lifestyle and outlook on life. Connect with Andrea
