The last few months there has been a lot of buzz about the government banning TikTok. I think people were absolutely shocked when they went to open up the app early this week and got a notification that it had indeed been banned. In all honesty, this is the one app that I haven’t invested my time in. This reason is equal parts I didn’t want my daughter on it and equal part I didn’t want another app. That hasn’t stopped , 1.5 billion people that are active on TikTok. It has emerged as a dominant platform, offering a space for creative content, and viral trends. However, as we recently witnessed during TikTok’s global outage, relying solely on one platform can leave businesses vulnerable and scrambling for alternatives.
When events like this occur we learn a vital lesson: diversifying your marketing efforts is not just smart—it’s essential. Let’s dive into why diversification matters and how you can protect your business from being overly reliant on any single platform.

The idea of failure is often seen as something to be avoided at all costs. Many of us grow up believing that failing is a reflection of our worth or ability, and this belief can prevent us from trying new things, stepping outside our comfort zones, or pursuing our dreams. But what if failure wasn't something to be feared? What if, instead, it was embraced as a crucial component of growth and self-confidence?
In this podcast episode, Brittni emphasizes that failure builds self-confidence by encouraging risk-taking and resilience, and it is a necessary stepping stone toward achieving success in both life and business. There are four possible outcomes in life—success, failure, giving up, and inaction—meaning that failure is the second-best outcome because it signifies effort and progress. Embracing failure, rather than avoiding it, leads to personal development, deeper insights, and ultimately, success.

In this episode, Brittni explores the significance of setting boundaries to maintain healthy relationships and personal well-being. She explains the concept of boundaries, explaining that they aren't meant to control others but to establish guidelines for how we protect our emotional, physical, and mental spaces. In this episode, Brittni shares a powerful life coaching concept that has helped her navigate immense personal challenges, including the loss of her son, a divorce, and a move back to Utah. She explores the crucial difference between adopting a survivor vs. victim mindset. While we may not control the hardships that come our way, we do have a choice in how we respond. Brittni discusses the consequences of a victim mentality, where we feel stuck, blame others, and avoid accountability. In contrast, adopting a survivor mindset fosters resilience, strength, and growth. This episode is a reminder that we are enough, and we can choose to become better, not bitter.

In this episode, the Brittni reflects on the importance of overcoming the need for constant approval from others. Sharing a personal story about her daughter’s struggle with friends, she highlights how many of us seek validation by changing our behavior, appearance, or actions to be liked. However, this often compromises our authenticity and happiness. Remember, embrace the idea that not everyone will like us—just like not everyone likes peaches—and that’s okay. By accepting this, we can gain confidence, deepen relationships, and live more authentically. True empowerment comes from being unapologetically yourself, regardless of others' opinions.

In this episode, we explore "The Manual," a set of unspoken expectations we hold for others—like partners, friends, or coworkers—believing they should behave in certain ways to make us feel good. When these expectations aren’t met, it can lead to disappointment and resentment.
The issue with the Manual is that it places our emotional well-being in others' hands, leaving us feeling powerless. By letting go of these expectations and taking responsibility for our emotions, we reclaim our power and create healthier relationships. This involves recognizing our unspoken rules, evaluating their usefulness, and communicating our needs clearly.
Letting go of the Manual allows us to stop trying to control others, appreciate them for who they are, and focus on building more fulfilling, authentic connections.

In this episode, Brittni Discusses Revitalized Womanhood with Gina Trimmer.
What is Revitalized Womanhood? Revitalized Womanhood - a community that thrives on personal growth, offers information and helps build skills that can empower women to feel comfortable in their own skin and in their own lives. It’s more than a podcast, more than social media, it’s a SISTERHOOD of like-minded women all working to become more effective mothers, wives, business owners and community leaders. Women working to reclaim and restore WOMANHOOD to its rightful place.
So, who is Gina Trimmer, the mom behind the mic? Gina Trimmer is a Southern Utah, boy mama x 3 and wife to her handsome hubs of 16 years. She’s a lover of coffee, and keeps busy doing all the mom things – running errands, laundry, cleaning, school pickup, football practice, ya know the usual stuff. Except, sometimes she’s doing it across the globe!
Gina and her family went from living the "American Dream" life to losing it all in the recession. In what they thought was the darkest time, they made the decision to change all of those bad habits of overspending and consumerism into budgeting and saving every penny. This "new" lifestyle allowed them the opportunity to invest and create multiple businesses that made it possible {6 years later} for them to retire by the age of 35 and spend the next years traveling across the world, hitting over 40 countries and having endless adventures along the way.
They settled back down in Utah while Gina was pregnant with her youngest son, but they have plans to begin traveling long-term again in Jan 2023! Gina documented her travels on her wildly popular IG @pure.imperfection. She has recently transitioned to the Podcaster life and you can find her podcast IG at @revitalizedwomanhood.

There is a tool, or rather an insight, that I teach my clients. When we are dealing with change, there is a point during this transformation when things are hard, challenging, or uncomfortable. I refer to this time as the “The Bad Before The Good” We are struggling and feel despair, frustration, or even sadness. This feeling will not last forever, but it is just part of the process of change. Understand that being in the “Bad Before The Good” is just part of getting to where you want to go and becoming who you want to be.

He claims he "wins everything" now it just takes a little time and work. He graduated in 2008 with a degree from the School of Family Life at BYU. At the time he was embarrassed that he took "the fastest easiest way out" but now feels God has brought him full circle. He’s committed to "enhancing the quality of life of individuals and families within the home and communities worldwide." Glenn eventually landed on the steps of The Life Coach School where he certified as a "Life & Health" coach. His business now focuses on helping men…particularly men whose wives have transformed from coaching. His diversity has helped him understand men of all walks – blue, white and any collar color. Maybe it’s just me? I’m a curious being. If you’ve met me in person, you know that I’m a very inquisitive person. I ask A LOT of questions.

One of the most valuable and empowering tools is to identify, control, and change your thoughts. The instant we let others’ opinions, words, or actions affect us, we have allowed ourselves the inability to reach our full potential. These habits may have developed in our early years, but it isn’t too late to reverse them and teach them to ourselves.
Starting the drama takes little effort, but learning to end the drama is the real achievement. Don’t go throughout your life feeling offended or hurt. You can learn to identify your thoughts and eventually control and change them to serve you and help you progress.

This episode features Chris from The Stealthy Rich. Chris is half of The Stealthy Rich which is made up of two normal guys with families and full-time jobs in the Houston metro. They have made seemingly small ordinary decisions that have compounded over time to produce extraordinary results. They both have families and kids, they are savers, they hack life and finances in almost every way, and they have mastered the rental property game even with families, full-time jobs, and lots of soccer practice taking much of their time. They have completed over 75 single-family deals over the last 7 years and have amassed a portfolio worth over 26 million dollars with zero of their own money in it. They also efficiently manage their own properties through the creation of repeatable systems because it's still fun and they refuse to pay somebody else to have fun for them. They are passionate about FI, life hacking, and real estate. They still work because they love what they do, but have taken a step back to make sure they have the flexibility to spend time with their families.

Boundaries can be complicated and messy if you don’t set them upfront, but also remember setting boundaries is also something you are learning as you go. Your business will evolve and so will your boundaries. When you are first starting you might not have a lot of boundaries, but as you get busier in your business you will realize you need way more boundaries to accomplish the things you want to accomplish. When we take on more than we can handle it starts to affect our work.

I joke that I am a perfectionist with borderline OCD. My kids always complain that I need to have everything perfect all the time. I used to think that was a compliment. They would get so annoyed when their hair had to always be done and their beds made. I frantically ran around the house cleaning everything, including closets, minutes before we traveled out of town. I cringed at inside-out socks in the laundry and repeatedly demonstrated the importance of putting towels away with the folds facing outward. I’m pretty sure, in my case, perfectionism is not a compliment. Can you relate? The curse of perfection can sometimes hold us back and we don’t realize it.

I love a good collaboration. I’ve worked with so many amazing people in my life. It’s not only helped me grow as a person, but it’s also helped my business grow by leaps and bounds. Recently, I was with a bunch of teenage girls — we were volunteering with the Refugee Service of Texas to help set up some apartments. The positive attitude and enthusiasm of these incredible teenagers were contagious. One of my favorite quotes of the day that I kept hearing over and over was, “Teamwork makes the dream work!” Don’t you love that? It’s so true!
Collaboration is such a powerful tool for all small business owners, regardless of the industry you’re in. It’s the connections you form with others, and the different ways you collaborate with those people, that’ll help you grow your business to new levels. If you’re not convinced collaboration is really worth the time and effort, I’ve put together five reasons you should care about collaboration in your small business.
You can spend hours reading blogs, magazines, and books for inspiration, but if you’re not communicating, sharing, and discussing that information, you’re missing out. It’s so important to get outside your own head to get a fresh perspective, push you out of your comfort zone, trigger your creativity, and learn from others who have valuable experience and knowledge. Take the time to seek out collaborations that can be inspiring and help you think in a new way.
Every contact you make might not result in collaboration, but you’ll expand your network and grow as a person. I recently held a retreat, and it was with such an amazing group of people. There were coaches there, photographers, real estate agents, and more. One of the attendees made the comment at the beginning of the retreat that it was such an interesting mix of people. At the end of the retreat, she pulled me aside and told me she got so much out of the retreat because it was such a diverse group. So remember that a good collaboration doesn’t always look the way you expect it to look.
Collaboration Is Educational One of the biggest benefits of collaboration is the opportunity for learning. In fact, every interaction you have with someone outside your immediate circle can teach you something valuable. Some of the most successful collaborations involve combining two very different skill sets, perspectives, and strengths to the table. When this happens, you’re guaranteed learning opportunities.
Collaboration Can Help You Save Money Many collaborative relationships involve combining ideas and strategies; hands-on work; and, sometimes, expenses. If you collaborate with another business and part of the terms involves sharing development and marketing expenses, you can double your budget while reducing costs.
You’ll be getting a bigger bang for your buck than you would be if you were using only your own resources. With that said, make sure you set good boundaries and all the parties involved are equally invested in the success of the collaboration.
There’s nothing worse than a collaboration in which you do all the work, take all the risks, and don’t get the same in return.
Think about the last difficult problem you faced in your business. When we get stumped, most of us immediately go to a partner, a mentor, or another trusted resource who acts as a sounding board and helps us work through the problem. The harder the problem is to solve, the more we can benefit from getting the input of someone outside the situation. When you add new viewpoints and experiences to the mix, you’ll be surprised how much you can accomplish.
There are so many benefits to working together on a collaboration. You have great support, but you also learn so much when it’s done correctly.
There are so many options and opportunities to help others and help your own business grow through collaborations. The good news is that small business collaboration doesn’t necessarily require a significant time or financial investment if you think creatively.
Tips for Collaborations That Grow Your Business Collaboration is essential for all types of businesses. There are so many ways to collaborate, and it’s essential that brands try it as much as possible.
I think when people are thinking about business collaboration, it’s often easy to get overwhelmed or confused as to whom to collaborate with and what to collaborate on.
Let’s take a deep dive into collaborations. I want to share some ideas that will help skyrocket business growth along the way!
Collaborate With Other Brands Collaborating with other brands is a great way to get your content seen by a new audience. Remember that the brand shouldn’t be your competition; instead, they should have the same ideal client. Here are some ideas for doing brand collaborations.
Cross marketing is one of the best things you can do for your business. It’s a great opportunity to quickly and easily reach another audience. It’s also an advantage for your brand to share third-party content. It builds brand loyalty and keeps followers on your social media pages for longer.
Here are a few good examples of cross-promotion:
If you help organize people’s houses, you can collaborate with real estate agents.
Collaborate With Influencers
Collaborating with influencers isn’t just for big brands. Although some businesses might be reluctant to work with influencers, many businesses have gotten great results. Here are a few advantages of working with influencers.
When using influencer marketing and influencer collaboration ideas, it’s essential to choose the right kind of influencer. It’s best to look at engagement over numbers — 1,000 engaged viewers is better than 100,000 non-engaged viewers — and the viewership has to be one that matches your brand.
Influencers must be paid or at least compensated. Sometimes if they’re smaller, they’ll accept a free product, but brands should generally plan on paying out if they’re after quality content.
Guest posting on blogs has all the benefits of posting on social media. Your brand gets a shout-out to their audience, and you could get new customers because of it.
In addition, it’s great for SEO and most websites allowing guest posts will let you earn a link back to your website, helping you to be found in Google searches.
And, of course, you can do it the other way around: Get free content for your blog or website by allowing guest posters.
Starting a podcast is a great small business collaboration idea to connect with other people in your niche and with those who have similar interests. While not every brand has a podcast and it’s not something that’ll immediately drive sales, podcasting is a fantastic way to network and build connections, as well as present yourself as a brand that really cares about the work that it does.
Having a popular podcast will also skyrocket brand loyalty, as people will be constantly tuning in to hear what you have to say about different matters.
Starting an interview series on your blog, Instagram, Facebook group, or YouTube account is a great idea for creating relationships with other businesses in your niche.
You’ll get great content for your chosen platform, and people will be happy for the exposure. To gain more benefits, you could ask anyone you interview if they’re willing to interview you in return.
By visiting networking events, you’ll get the chance to meet people in person. If you want to reach people to collaborate with, here’s your perfect opportunity. You’ll also get the chance to bounce ideas off of people and be inspired.
You can attend network events specific for networking, or what I think is more effective is getting involved in your community through volunteer opportunities.
Collaboration in action is a win-win. If you haven’t done a collaboration before, just do it. You have to start somewhere. I promise you will learn as you go. If you’ve already done a collaboration, push yourself to do more. You’ll see the benefits for sure.
If you’re hesitant about doing your first collaboration, don’t worry — I got you. I’ve included my collaboration guide in the show notes! Grab yourself a copy, and let the collaborations begin!
I hope you found all this info helpful!

I once referred to the negative people in my life as toxic. I would say that a person is toxic or that relationship is toxic. Guess what? There is no such thing as toxic people. We make the choice who we surround ourselves with. We also make the choice of how we want to react. Other people do not control us. When you learn to control your thoughts you will learn that you can be around anyone and it does not affect you.
Did you know there is a difference between confidence and self-confidence? There is and I am going to tell you how to get more of both!
