In today’s episode, we’re talking about trusting where you are on your path. This is easier said then done when things don’t appear to be going well. We’re using the example of a relationship breakdown to openly talk about how you can trust the path you’re walking because of the joy and the pain you’re experiencing.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about the importance of celebrating your wins; being grateful for where you are on your path in this moment. It’s easy to get frustrated with not being where we want to be yet staying focused on this attracts more of the same – frustration, disappointment, and lack. So, if you yearn for change in your life or want to reach those goals of yours, the best thing you can do for yourself is to be proud of how far you’ve come!

In today’s episode, we’re asking a BIG question – Is your behaviour valid? Everything we do is to meet a need, and every need we have is valid. But is the way you’re going about meeting the need really serving your Highest good? Or… is it just a habit you’ve picked up? When you raise your awareness to what you’re doing and why, you also realise your power. Are you ready?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about the excuses you’re making, wrapped up as pretty little reasons, complete with a cute bowtie. Why would you make excuses to yourself that would hinder you from accomplishing what you set out for yourself? It doesn’t seem to make sense. But, you’re doing it, nonetheless. Let’s talk about why.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about how many people believe they need to break through and escape the matrix. But after seeing the matrix crumble before my very eyes in a Reiki Master initiation, I understand the matrix differently. Not only do I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that indeed nothing is real – that reality itself is relative – but that rather than escaping it, we need to grasp the fact that we ARE the matrix.

We’re looking at a example from a student of mine who didn’t think he had any limiting beliefs about money until our conversation. In today’s episode, we’re talking about how some people get offended that people would expect to earn money for their services. What is the difference between offering money in exchange for a massage, doctor’s appointment, or even a consultation with a lawyer and for someone offering to help guide you on your path to find your connection to yourself – like a spiritual counsellor, card reader, or even NLP Practitioner? I believe I know exactly what the difference is, and it has nothing to do with whether or not they deserve to earn a living for helping someone else!

In today’s episode, we’re talking about the gains vs losses when healing from trauma. Sometimes we can get so caught up in the fear of losing ourselves that we forget about what we’ll be gaining when we heal. You don’t need to lose your identity to heal, but how you resonate with different aspects of your story may change. The vibrant soul that is within will finally be able to shine! On today’s episode, we’re talking about how you get what you expect! All your experiences have caused you to expect certain things in your life, and for things to go a certain way. Because you are expecting to see “it”, you do. Ever know someone who has 20 people tell them after a meeting that they did a fantastic job, but when one person asks for clarity about something they didn’t understand, they intently focus on that? They’re using that one person as evidence that they did a terrible job instead of using the other 20 as evidence for the opposite. Do you do this?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about how nobody can help you but you. It’s not that there isn’t a potential knight in shining armour who would be willing to help. It’s more that if you don’t believe you deserve it, you won’t even realise the offer for help is there. Plus, nobody else can do the work for you! You are the only one who can experiment with what works for you, and that happens when you implement what you are learning.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about how you are NOT the centre of anyone else’s story but your own. That means that no matter what is going on in your life – how other people are behaving, what they’re saying or doing, it is always all about THEM. Even that adult bully you’re dealing with at work. He or she learned that behaviour when they were younger. Making someone else feel weak allows them to feel strong and powerful. Their behaviour is all about allowing themselves to feel this way. You are likely not even a supporting character in their story! You’re just the one that’s there, and if it wasn’t you, it would be someone else. Ready to dive into this topic?

Will I get backlash? Is this going to turn into an argument? Will I hurt their feelings? What if they don’t respect my wishes? There are so many questions that begin churning in your head that sometimes it can feel easier to just ignore the problem, let it fester, or even just walk away from the relationship altogether. But is that what you really want? Is that what you deserve?

Do you allow yourself to acknowledge, feel and express all your emotions, or just the ones that society deems to be acceptable? In today’s episode, we’re talking about how to increase your vibration from a place of stagnant energy into ease and flow. Changing your state of mind by trying to move from anger into joy is not possible in one big swoop – the difference in energy vibration is too great. But, if you learn to take smaller steps by searching for the next best thought, even if that is still a thought filled with stagnant energy (a place you do not want to be or stay), you will find yourself shifting your mood, state of mind, and energy quicker than you would expect!

In today’s episode, we’re talking about how to protect your energy, either to stop yourself from absorbing unwanted energy from others, or to prevent yourself from losing your own energy. We do these types of energy exchanges when we don’t realise that we have this ability. Unfortunately, while it may help to make someone else feel better, we are left drained and feeling worse. Or sometimes we absorb someone else’s positive energy in order to feel better ourselves. Either way you cut it, that is not how you want to help or be helped! So, let’s talk about how you can stop this, right now!

In today’s episode, we’re talking about your perception of the world around you and your place in it. Every one of us has a different perspective of our world, all based on how our unconscious mind filters the information coming through our five senses. When we understand this more fully, we can begin to realise that those past experiences and hurts we have had did not necessarily happen the way we perceived them to. And that can be a huge part of our healing.

Did you know that there are four cycles to both the moon and menstruation? Did you know that these cycles correspond to your mood, energy levels, food cravings, exercise ability, productivity, creativity, and more?
Instead of making a to-do list, or a best-made plan, only to not find the energy to complete it all and then be hard on yourself because of this supposed failure, what if you followed your cyclical truth? By tapping into your cycle and planning accordingly, you will set yourself up for more success than you can imagine. Would that help you accept and love yourself?

Maybe you notice this when you set up a new exercise or healthy living routine that starts out strong but doesn’t take long for it to fizzle like a distant memory.
It’s difficult not to be hard on yourself and feel like you’ve failed. But what if I told you that the side of you that wants “this” and the side that “doesn’t” are going about reaching the same goal in different ways? Would that help you to accept and love yourself? Let me explain…

Is it time to transform your health? Are you like many of us who have gained the COVID 15? Have you noticed you’ve developed some habits over this lockdown period that are just plain unhealthy?
Today we’re talking with Health Transformation Coach Arlene Santiago, about how you can transform your health, with simple strategies that won’t break the bank, your back, your schedule, or your mood.
Arlene noticed her clients were struggling to eat better. I mean, let’s face it, we all know what we’re supposed to do to get more fit, right? But it’s difficult with all the temptations out there! Although both nutrition and exercise are both important to transform your health, Arlene has chosen to help moms eat better through concentrating on their mindset. And you know how much I like to talk about the power of our mindset.
You can find out more about Arlene and her work, access her social media profiles, as well as my free 30-Challenge, free Book Club, and my Shift your Mindset Guide with workbook, over in the show notes.
Ending racism is our responsibility – all of ours. It’s not “someone” else’s job – it’s ours, together as a society… as human beings. I mean, how can we honestly stand by knowing that people are being marginalised, beaten, discriminated against, and even losing their lives because of the colour of their skin?
I don’t know about you, but I grew up hearing all kinds of, what I now know to be, racist jokes, songs, and language. It wasn’t until I grew into a teenager that I began to question what I was saying and even thinking about anyone who was different from me. I didn’t like it. This is not who I wanted to be. This is not how I wanted to see others, treat them, or make them feel.
I had a responsibility to make different choices, and that’s exactly what I did and still do. We all have this ability, but it has to start with the awareness that we’re even doing it in the first place. How can you change what you don’t know is broken?
The Black Lives Matter movement that we are currently experiencing is the mirror we all need to be looking into, exposing the deep dark truth that even though we may not see it right in front of our faces, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Book Journey Mentor and founder of Conscious Dreams Publishing, Daniella Blechner (Danni) is talking openly with us today about her experiences as a black woman in the UK, why the Black Lives Matter movement isn’t discriminating against anyone who isn’t black, why some are triggered by the word privilege, and what we all can do to play our very important role in ending racism in our society.
This is a powerful episode that I truly hope will open the eyes of those currently in the dark, stimulate the conversation and motivate everyone to stand up. The time is now.

It’s imperative to use video to get visible in this day and age, don’t you think? It might surprise you then to learn to that many small and large business alike are either not using video or are not using it well.
Today we’re talking with video for business expert, Tom Stanhope, about how you can shift your mindset to build your confidence and get comfortable on camera so you can harness the power video has to offer. This is so crucial in our digital world. It’s how we build rapport with our audience, who then become engaged customers or clients that we can help on a deeper level.
Tom knows that many business owners that know they need to be using video, actually hang back from stepping into the limelight because of their own self-limiting beliefs.
And like all our guests, he knows what this is like from personal experience – he’s been there too!
Fears, doubts and anxieties about being in front of the camera can get in the way of your true desire to spread your message and grow your business. Smashing these beliefs, alongside a tried and tested content strategy and creation process, helps take you from nervous novice to confident creator. And that’s exactly why today’s episode is focusing on mindset over technology. You can always learn about the tech, but all that knowledge won’t change your mindset. So, let’s start there.
Are you ready to learn Tom’s mindset tricks to get visible in your business using both pre-recorded and live video? Me too!

Have you ever been giving a presentation, doing a Live video, giving a talk, hosting a meeting, or any other situation where you’re putting yourself in front of others, and find yourself convinced others are judging you? Maybe they’re judging your educational background, gender, ability to speak confidently. But how do you really know they’re in fact judging you? Could you be judging yourself?
Today, we’re talking with executive and business psychology coach and founder of RenOC, Karen Kwong, about Impostor Syndrome, the persistent inability to believe that your success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of your own efforts or skills. We’re talking about how this can manifest, learning about some interesting examples, and of course, learning what we can do about it.
Karen’s getting real with us today about what Impostor Syndrome is, why we need to be strong and confident instead of relying on others to give us what we think we need, and how to address Impostor Syndrome, no matter how it’s manifesting.

How do you empower thyself to find your purpose and true potential, speed up your evolution, regain your power and create the life of your dreams?
Today we’re talking with Personal Life Guide, Healer and Teacher, Annie Riley, about resurrecting that connection to your Higher Self to open your awareness to the so-called “coincidences” that guide you in your life.
Annie is sharing with us the powerful system of healing and teaching that supported her in overcoming grief, depression, and anxiety triggered by bereavement and a failing marriage. She is dedicated to supporting other women struggling in midlife to help them see how they too can create positive futures.
Through a series of what some would call “coincidences”, Annie found her way back to her connection to her Higher Self, through Life Activation, then Empower Thyself classes and initiation, and finally The Modern Mystery School. Now she helps others, guiding them to find their true potential using a fusion of ancient wisdom, NLP, and psychology.
And she’s sharing some of her vast knowledge with us today!

Do you feel you have a healthy mind? That’s such a strange question, isn’t it? But in a world that is so fixated on mental illness, it’s important to shift the focus towards mental health. How do we get a healthy mind?
Today we’re talking with trained psychotherapist and coach, Sarie Taylor, about how to change the narrative around anxiety to build a healthy mind, by understanding three core principles that can literally change your relationship with anxiety, yourself and others.
Sarie found herself going from attending university and travelling the world, to being housebound within a couple of weeks with severe anxiety. She spent a month hospitalised and heavily medicated, with her support team focused on what was broken. Once released, she spent over 10 years “fixing” herself. During that time, Sarie underwent therapy, and became trained in numerous modalities, including Psychotherapy, NLP, CBT, and Hypnotherapy, all in her quest to create a healthy mind from the outside in. During those years, she had no idea that the answer actually lay within.
Sarie now helps others completely transform their relationship with stress and anxiety and fall back in love with life, as she did, in a fraction of the time, all through the understanding of three basic principles first described by Sydney Banks: Mind, Thought and Consciousness.
These principles were literally the piece to the puzzle for Sarie to create a healthy mind, that she continues to use today, and that she shares with her clients to help them change their relationship with anxiety, and with themselves. And she’s sharing them with us today!

Cancer is a devastating disease, there’s no question about that. But are we doing the best we can in it’s treatment and prevention? Let me clarify.
You’re a unique individual, right? I mean, you have the same cells, organs, proteins and hormones as I do. Our brains look the same too, but does that mean we all think the same? Of course not. We are individuals who react differently to the same situation, based on our past experiences.
Today we’re talking with Marcus Freudenmann, the producer of the documentary "Cancer is Curable Now" and director of the TRULY HEAL academy, about how this same concept needs to be applied to the treatment, and prevention of disease. Every person with cancer has their own past experiences, including their experiences with health. The cancer may be the same, but the way it affects each of us because of our differences in our health history, and therefore the way we treat it, is specific to each person.
Currently, most Western medicine focuses on treating the cancer – a one size fits all mentality. But what if we took the whole person into account and treated them instead? That means thoroughly investigating their overall health history, not just their history of cancer.
And if we did that with success, could we not start focusing on your health now, as a preventative measure for disease in general?
Marcus is sharing all his findings in his years of research, including why some treatments don’t work for some the way they do for others when battling cancer.
This is a fascinating conversation that will open your eyes and get you thinking.

Are you currently following your passion? Did you think you were until the Coronavirus lockdown? It’s often in difficult times that we are able to see what is otherwise right in front of our faces – we are not happy.
Today we’re talking with lead vocalist Millie Manders, from the band Millie Manders and the Shutup, about how vital it is to be following your passion, whatever that may be, not just in terms of your general happiness and sense of satisfaction in life, but for your mental health.
Would you believe that although Millie has had a passion for music her entire life, she didn’t always plan to have music as part of her career, never mind her entire career? That’s right. Millie Manders had to decide to take a chance on herself, ditch her career and lifestyle in order to get a degree, and change her career entirely to ensure she was following her passion.
Millie is outlining the specific strategies she used to take that chance on herself. And in many ways, they are the same strategies she’s using to get through the lockdown, coping with mental health issues.
This is such a powerful episode that will move you on so many levels.

What does it mean to swim with the current? Perhaps more importantly, how can we use this notion to help us get through difficult times, like the one we’re facing with Coronavirus?
Today we’re talking with personal success trainer and author, Matt Zinman, about the importance of recognising when you’re swimming against the current, you know those times when you’re putting in full effort and just feel like you’re banging your head against the wall, getting nowhere? And perhaps more importantly, how do you turn yourself around to swim with the current instead, whether it’s to get through difficult situations and circumstances, or to create happy and healthy relationships?
Matt’s experience as an entrepreneur, athlete, single parent, caretaker, consultant and non-profit founder drive him to be a difference-maker. If that’s not enough, Matt’s the CEO of The Internship Institute, which he established in 2007, to bridge the gap between education, active duty and employment by “Making Experience Matter”.
He’s a frequent lecturer at colleges, universities, professional associations and civic organisations, as well as a published author on a number of related topics.
And he’s sharing his insights with us today on how to swim with the current so you can get through whatever it is you’re facing.

How many times have you caught yourself putting in so much effort to make something happen – something you really, REALLY, wanted at one point – only to find you’re unhappy?
Today we’re talking about how sometimes we can fall out of alignment with what we once wanted, for many different reasons, and how important it is to recognise and honour yourself with where you’re at today. That means, just because you started something, doesn’t mean you have to finish it.
It also means that sometimes we come up with the best plans for ourselves and then we just can’t seem to follow through. Maybe it’s a weight loss goal, a healthier mindset, or business plan we’re wanting to implement. If you’re finding yourself stuck in a pattern of wanting something but not making it happen, it might be time to ask yourself, “Do I even want this to work?”
Registered holistic nutritionist, certified life coach and wellness coach, podcast producer, international best-selling author, international radio show host, and fellow Canadian extraordinaire, Lisa Berry, is an expert at breathing life into the dreams of people wanting to create a Lifestyle Love story for themselves.
Now, we’re going to talk about what that means and looks like, as well as what it means to actually want it. After all, just because it sounds great, doesn’t mean it’s right for you in this moment. Perhaps it is. Or perhaps the next moment is your moment. You have to be ready for the change, and willing to do the work it takes. And convincing yourself you are when you’re really not, sets you up for a massive let down. So, how can you get this right? Lisa’s sharing all her strategies and thoughts on this today!

How confident are you that the work you do is in alignment with what you want? If you’re like so many people, entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs-in-waiting, who realise they have serious changes to make, you might be struggling with exactly how you’re supposed to implement the plethora of information that is available to you on how to do this.
Today we’re talking with practical empowerment coach and business strategist, Sonja Thompkins, about how understanding what needs to be done is different from knowing how to implement the tools and strategies that will help you achieve your goal.
Sonja has so many clients who have found themselves stuck in that old trap of working their life around their business, when the reality is, they began their entrepreneurship hoping to do the opposite.
That’s exactly what Sonja believes we should all be doing – working our business around our lives. Wouldn’t it be incredible to adjust your business around your life? Could you imagine how empowered you’d feel?
What’s stopping you? Don’t we all deserve to be empowered entrepreneurs? Heck yes we do!
Sonja’s sharing with us her top tips to implement practical empowerment. In other words, how do you ensure your business is in alignment with what you want, and how do you change it if it’s not?
If you’re an entrepreneur or are dreaming of being one someday, this episode is a must catch.

How are you handling the challenges you face in life? We all have them, and while some people seem to be “lucky” in life, the truth is, we all have choices to make every moment of every day. Those choices either hold us back or propel us forward.
Today we’re talking with Sicilian singer/songwriter, Vina Rose, about how you can turn challenges into opportunities, whether we’re talking about your personal or professional life, during coronavirus and beyond.
Leaving a popular TV show career behind, along with her home, friends and family, to move to London was a difficult decision for Vina. But it was one she knew she needed to make in order to grow and thrive as an artist, and person. And it paid off as she released “Breathe Again”, her debut single in 2019 and is now about to release her EP “Crossroads” on the 24th April 2020.
This was not luck. This was choice. Vina Rose made some very difficult decisions along the way, worked hard, was consistent, kept her eye on her goal, and pushed herself out of her comfort zone in order to get to this point. And that’s what she’s still doing now amidst the coronavirus lock down we’re all facing.
Opportunities don’t always spring up with a big sign on them that scream, “Grab hold of me, I promise it will be worth it!” In fact, most opportunities don’t look or feel fabulous in the moment. We experience them as full on challenges. Sometimes the challenge seems so great, we can’t imagine how we’ll get through it, never mind turn it into something positive. Vina Rose is going to share with us her secret to turning challenge into opportunity – a crucial life skill, in my opinion, and one that sets the “lucky” apart from the “unlucky”.
You can find links to Vina Rose's website, her social media profiles, and get the pre-save link for her EP release, as well as links for the Online Entrepreneur Membership Group, my free Anxiety to Action Cheat Sheet, and Chris Atley's course for coaches, The Coaches Code, over in the show notes.
How will we be able to bounce back from coronavirus? That’s the question that so many of us are asking each other and ourselves. The truth is, while some people are experiencing the effects much worse than some others, we are all being impacted. At the end of the day, it’s not about what happens to you. It’s about how you react to it.
It’s like anything else in the world – it’s all relative. Some people will be experiencing utter destruction in their lives, losing their job and therefore their income, which may cause them to lose their home. These same people may have also lost loved ones to the disease itself. Yet, some will be holding their heads high, determined to come out on top. While others may have to adjust to working from home, still earning a healthy income, with everyone they love safe and sound. Yet, some of them may be experiencing debilitating anxiety and feel like they are being swallowed whole by the darkness.
Today we’re talking with Environmental Psychologist and Wellbeing Trainer, Lee Chambers, about how we can bounce back, when we’re ready and able to, from coronavirus. And while we are all experiencing this differently, we are all experiencing it all-the-same. That means, to bounce back, we need to ensure we are doing the things that work for us as individuals.
He’s the perfect person to talk to us about putting strategies in place now to help us bounce back in the future, not just because of his training and how he’s been helping others for years. In 2014, when Lee was just in his twenties, he lost the ability to walk through illness. He had a choice in that moment. He could have decided that was it, and there was no point in trying to walk again, feeling sorry for himself in his wheelchair. Or, he could choose to focus on what he was grateful for in order to shift his perspective and keep his mindset positive. Guess which he chose?
Before we dive into Lee’s interview, I need to apologise for the audio echo at the beginning of the episode. I do manage to figure out how to correct it after my first couple questions, so bear with us!
And sticking with us is so important because Lee is sharing the transferable strategies that he used to bounce back and walk again. We can all learn a thing or two from Lee.
You can grab links to Lee Chamber's website & social media profiles, as well as to my Shifting your Mindset Guide, free 30-Day Challenge, and free Anxiety to Action Cheat Sheet for Entrepreneurs, in the show notes.
There are no two ways about it. Because of coronavirus and COVID19, we are living in unprecedented times where, for most of us, our entire way of life is shifting. Whether it’s working from home, being out of work all together, or not being able to have physical contact with other people, we are all adjusting to a different life, however short lived it may be.
Today we are talking about the importance of being flexible at this time – with ourselves, our relationships, our businesses, and with others. None of us knows what the future holds, and for many, this could be a great time for growth, whether it be personally or professionally. And for others, it may be the perfect time to take stock of what’s important.
Hannah Kinkead is a costume designer working and touring with some of the largest names in the Pop, Rock and Hip-Hop industries, including Madonna, Beyoncé and KISS. And if that isn’t enough, in 2017 Hannah founded Go for Wardrobe, offering seamster’s, wardrobe assistants and dressers to touring artists in the music and theatre industry.
It goes without saying that the music and theatre industries are on hold, like everything else in the world right now. And that means that Hannah, like many others, is home-bound - grounded, if you will.
Hannah is the perfect person to talk to at this time because she knows exactly what it’s like to have to shift gears quickly. She must adapt to life on the road, travelling the world, creating styles for shows, photo shoots and music videos, working alongside celebrity stylists and major fashion designers and couture fashion houses.
But when the latest tour is over, she also must adapt to “normal” life, integrating herself back into her life with family and friends. And while she does that, she also needs to recuperate from months of working without any days off, jet lag, and adjusting to the differences of living away from her husband to now spending quality time together daily.
While we are all adjusting over the last couple of weeks to this new way of life, this is something Hannah faces all throughout the year. And, her business Go for Wardrobe is frozen, as are so many other businesses at this time. So, who better to have on today’s show?
She’s giving us her top tips for adjusting, whether you’re slowing down or if life as you know it has stopped cold.
So, press play on this episode so you don't miss a thing!

Trigger Warning
Fear is something we all experience in our lives. It’s a normal physiological response that we need to keep us safe. The issue for us is that we’re no longer running from predators! Our ancestors experienced fear and literally used that fear to act – to run from what wanted to kill and eat them!
Today we’re talking about learning to turn our fear into power and strength in this modern day, so we can move forward and claim our power.
Debby Bibaud, is a single parent who has overcome sexual assault and has made a momentous change in how the Canadian RCMP must deal with sexual assaults in the future, all across Canada.
Debby knows all too well what it’s like to experience fear. But through her experiences she’s also learned the control she has over her own thoughts and mindset, coining her motto: Be afraid and do it anyway!
You see, Debby made a crucial shift in her perspective after her sexual assault. Instead of using the narrative of this happening to her, she made a conscious choice to start describing it as happening for her. The difference is that this shift allows Debby to be aware of all the positive she has in her life, because of the direction her life has taken. And that change in direction for Debby happened because of that experience.
She’s met people, including me, along her journey – people she likely never would have crossed paths with if that experience hadn’t happened. And she’s had a passion lit beneath her to help other women, not just in their recovery, but in the way the police treat them during their investigation, giving them the dignity they deserve.
It doesn’t mean she wishes it would happen again or would wish it upon anyone else. Instead, it means she can move forward with her emotional and mental health intact.
She’s written a chapter in a book, Sacred Hearts Rising Sparks of Light, about how she overcame her struggles and chose forgiveness – forgiveness of herself, of her attacker, and of the RCMP officer that prompted the changes that Debby forged within the system.
She’s an incredibly courageous and inspirational person that shares so much with us today, that I know you don’t want to miss this.
You can get links to Debby's Facebook, the story on Global News, her son's interview giving tips to other kids, as well as my Moving Forward after Abuse Webinar, Anxiety to Action Cheat Sheet, and Shifting your Mindset Guide, in the show notes.
So... that happened.
Here we were, all of us minding our own business one moment and in lock down (aka quarantine) the next, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And we're struggling. Big time.
It's not just our physical health we are all concerned with. It's also our mental health, because with isolation, huge changes to our routines and support systems, and the fear that future uncertainty brings, comes the risk to our emotional and mental well-being.
So, let's talk opening today, in our first ever live show, about coronavirus and your mental health, during this pandemic and beyond.

How often do you let the opinions and attitudes of others affect you? It’s something we don’t often think about, but if we’re being honest, most of us would say we have been greatly affected by others.
Today we’re talking about the choices we have in life to learn and grow, or to be halted in our tracks when life deals us a different hand from the majority.
Jessica Victoria is a classical composer and singer-songwriter who was born blind. She composes Braille music, plays the harp and is a trained operatic singer who has performed for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, among other incredible venues in the United States, South America and Europe. And she’s releasing her album in May this year (2020), proving that no disability should define you.
You see, being born blind, Jessica grew up knowing nothing else. This was her version of normal. She was the outgoing, life of the party kind of child, until an adult began treating her differently, like something was wrong with her.
Jessica’s first taste at navigating the attitudes of others about her blindness had a profound impact on her, causing her to withdraw from her life. That is, until she found music. In that moment, Jessica was awakened to her true self.
It’s not that she no longer is subjected to the opinion and attitudes of others, but that she chooses to look at them differently – to find the teachable moments.
She’s sharing with us today the lessons she has learned over the years, ultimately because of her blindness. This is an incredibly inspirational episode that I know you don’t want to miss.
You can find links to Jessica Victoria's website, social media platforms and music, along with my Moving Forward after Abuse free webinar, Becoming Fulfilled and Satisfied with your Life mini-course, and Audio Books Now, over in the show notes.
So you’re thinking about starting up a business, whether it’s leaving the corporate world in favour for entrepreneurship, or selling your business to start something new, and you’re consumed with trying to figure out what you want to invest your time and money in for your business venture.
Today we’re talking about how to start a business in unfamiliar territory. Perhaps it’s that in order to offer what you want to offer, you need to learn about many other components that currently escape you. Or perhaps you are driven to offer something that you have no experience in at all.
Vicki Wilkes, a Research Metallurgist and Technical Sales Engineer who owned a ran a business with her husband, Darren, designing, building and supporting bespoke materials testing machines around the world, woke up one day and realised they were spending all their time doing the business instead of growing it. That was the moment they decided to sell it and move on. But to what?
After much discussion, they decided to completely change gears and open a live entertainment venue and bar called Red By Night, on The Waterfont in Brierley Hill. And here’s the really cool part – neither had any experience with playing music or running a bar!
If you’re wondering the same as me: How in the world to two engineers get into the live entertainment business, and make it succeed when they have no past experience in the industry, then you’re in luck because that’s exactly what we’re going to cover today! Vicki is sharing her top tips today on how to start your business, even when it’s in unfamiliar territory.

Do you rely on your gut instincts, especially when making important decision in your life and business?
A lot of us do, and a lot of the experts promote listening to your gut as the best way to ensure you’re making the right decision that is best for your needs at the time. But not today’s expert!
Today we’re talking about why we shouldn’t trust our gut instincts, especially when it comes to business.
Cognitive Neuroscientist, Behavioural Economist, Disaster Avoidance Expert and best-selling author, Dr. Gleb Tsipursky explains that our gut instincts are still wired to a small hunter gatherer tribe lifestyle isolated from other tribes, instead of the modern society filled with social media and global opportunities that is our current reality.
Quite literally, we don’t have sabre tooth tigers roaming around that we need to confront, yet our gut still tells us to fight or flee when it senses “danger”. The problem is that “danger” has air quotes included because it’s not typically truly dangerous situations that are life and death. Rather, they are caused by tension in our relationships, or discomfort at being pushed out of our comfort zone when we’re tackling a new task.
And that’s the problem. The disconnect between what our gut is trying to protect us from doesn’t match the reality. By following our gut instinct, we are potentially setting ourselves up for failure by making judgement errors that drive bad decisions and lead to poor outcomes. This is what is referred to as cognitive biases, and Gleb explains there are over a hundred of them!
In this episode, Gleb shares with us the questions you should be asking yourself in order to avoid potential decision disasters.

How comfortable are you at tooting your own horn about the work you do, the skills you have, and what you’ve overcome? Despite being completely counter-intuitive, so many entrepreneurs struggle with this every day.
So, the question becomes, “How are you expecting to be successful without people knowing about how amazing you are and how what you offer will help them?”
Today we’re talking with best-selling author, speaker, multi-award-winning business coach and podcast host, Anna Parker-Naples, about the reason behind this modestly, and how to overcome it in order to get visible with your business. Because, to be honest, getting visible to your target audience is not just about great marketing, or understanding your target audience. It’s actually more about knowing yourself.

How much time a day do you spend ruminating over the past, or fretting about something coming up in the future? Be honest. Most people find it difficult to let the past go, especially when it didn’t turn out the way we had expected. And that increases our worry about the future – what if we are in a similar situation? Surely, we need to be prepared for that, right? And the more prepared we are the less anxiety we’ll feel, correct?
No! That’s the scare tactics and manipulation of anxiety talking, playing off the fear of your past experiences.
Today we’re talking with Life Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, Podcast Host and Survivor Advocate, Matthew Pappas, about the anxiety gremlin that sits on your shoulder, affecting every aspect of your life, and the steps you can take to stop allowing it to define and control you.

Have you ever received a second chance in life? Maybe it was a second chance at love, friendship, or in your career. What about your mental health? Have you ever had something life-changing happen that caused you to literally change your life?
Today we’re talking with Swedish artist, singer, songwriter and businesswoman, Yajna, about the second chances, or revelations, you can have through depression, to drive you through not only your own recovery, but in making a difference in the lives of others.
Yajna’s entire mission is based on helping others out of depression and unhealthy relationships. That’s because, after her divorce left her a single mother, Yajna fell into not only a deep clinical depression, but into psychosis. She went through electro-convulsive therapy an astounding six times. To say she was on death’s door is an understatement. Yajna had to literally pick herself up off the ground and put back the pieces of her life, rising like a phoenix. And that's what she's helping you do today.

How many times do you think you turn things down out of fear – whether it’s a fear of the unknown, fear of failure, or even fear of success? On some level, we’ve all been guilty of this. But what if instead of letting your fear get the best of you only to be disappointed later for not giving “it” a try, you could use your fear as a motivator?
Today we’re talking with International Vocalist and Performer, Shari Vandermolen, about the coping strategies you can adopt in the face of fear, so that you never again lose out on something you want to experience.
In a pivotal moment in her life, when battling bone cancer, Shari decided that life’s too short. During that battle, she lost a promising career and her fiancé, not to mention her health. But she also gained something incredibly valuable – the desire to ensure fear never again stopped her from doing something she enjoys doing.

What are you capable of? It may sound strange to hear, but most of us have no idea what our strengths and talents are, therefore what we’re capable of.
Take for instance, if you’re diagnosed with a disability or serious illness. Nearly every single piece of information you’ll find about living your life with this condition will outline everything you can’t do. But what about everything you CAN do?
Today we’re talking with Elaine Hopkins, a writer and speaker living with dyspraxia, about all the things we tell ourselves we can’t do, instead of discovering what we’re actually capable of doing. Our minds effectively hold the key for the transition we’re looking to make here, going from “I can’t” to “Oh yeah? Watch me!”

Are you happy in your career or are you like many people who are asking themselves if there is more to life than this? On that note, are you clear on what you want more of AND what you want less of in your life?
For those of us in our 40s and beyond, it’s quite typical to drone on with life, spending so long chasing “the dream” that the next thing you know, you realise you’re working a job that no longer satisfies you. Maybe it never did. Or perhaps, like many, it started as your dream job, or the ticket to lead to it, but somehow, you’re now realising that your day is overwhelmed with tasks that you just don’t enjoy.

Maybe you’re dreaming of leaving your corporate 9-5 to become an entrepreneur, but you know you can’t leave your job and be able to pay for your lifestyle. Or even better yet, you have these grand ideas for something, like your New Year’s Resolutions for example, and when making your plan to implement them, you set yourself up for failure instead of success.
Today we’re talking with Kinesiologist, Herbal Medicine Practitioner, Naturopath and Personal Development Trainer, Rachel Shackleton, about the excuses we make for why we’ll never be good enough; never have the money or the time to make our dreams a reality.

How much does stress affect your life? Let’s face it, we ALL have stress in our lives, right? But the amount of stress we face in each moment of the day varies, as do the causes of that stress. What causes some people stress is a walk in the park for others, and vice versa.
Some things I do on a regular basis in my business are things that would cause others a great amount of stress. And I’m sure there are many things in their lives that they’re comfortable with that I would find too stressful to consider.
And of course, over the holiday season, some people find themselves seriously overwhelmed, while others relish the entire season and wish it would never end. It’s the rest of the year that causes them stress.
Today we’re talking with medical intuitive, Catherine Carrigan, about how important a role stress plays on our health and state of mind, and more importantly, the tools you can use to help handle your life more easily. And let’s face it, Christmas time, or any holiday season, is the time when most of us need to be pulling out ALL the tools from our bag of tricks!

Just 10 years ago, self-care was thought of as indulgent, and even selfish. It was commonplace to think that to be the best mum, dad, employee, or person, you had to put everyone else, and their needs, ahead of your own. That was especially true when it came to your kids.
Today we’re talking about how far we’ve come with self-care. Now we understand that when we take proper care of ourselves, we have more to give to others. We have more energy, patience, and even creativity. And there’s no greater time to invest in yourself, then under times of stress, such as in the holiday season.
Let’s talk about Chris Atley’s top tips to either starting or maintaining a self-care routine over the holidays. Whatever the time of year, self-care is the key to manifesting your dreams. Instead of ditching self-care in favour of “more time” during the stresses of the holidays, let’s learn how to stand our ground.

If you’re in business for yourself, then no doubt you know how empowering it is to be your own boss, set your own schedule, have the freedom to work when you want, for how long you want, right? The truth is, most entrepreneurs work so hard, especially in the first couple of years, that the main reasons they went into business for themselves – time and financial freedom – are moot.
Today, we’re talking about the steps you can take within yourself, and your business, to create an atmosphere of success.
My guest today, Rob Moore, is a self-made multi-millionaire, sought-after public speaker, author, co-founder of Progressive Property – the UK’s leading property training company – and Progressive Success. Have you ever wondered, or perhaps even realised, that the dramas you’re trying to fix are actually all in your head? I know I’ve caught myself many times over the years mulling over an experience from the past, coming up with all the brilliant things to say in the moment that has now long passed.
I’ve even caught myself thinking about an upcoming conversation I need to face, planning out all the possible results of that conversation. It makes me feel prepared – that I’ll have a plan no matter what the outcome, so I don’t need to fear the situation.
Today, we’re talking with Kenny Mammarella-D'Cruz about how this keeps you in your head, facing dramas and traumas that don’t even exist. By asking yourself, “Am I safe?”, “Am I accepted?” and “Am I going to be rejected?”, you’re giving your power over to these situations, and even to other people. You’re gaining your sense of self from the outside. And it’s dis-empowering because it’s based on fear and fantasy.

Living through a major illness such as cancer changes you. It can leave you with internal wounds, feeling lost, bitter and wondering, “Why me?”.

Getting out of an abusive relationship can be so difficult. Getting out of any relationship, after determining that it isn’t serving your Highest good, can be easier said than done. But once you are out, the battle is actually only half won. The challenge now becomes breaking the pattern of accepting abusive or lacking relationships. Without doing some deep self-reflection, how can you guarantee that you won’t make the same decision, and attract the same type of partner again?
There is something to be said about where your mind is at when it comes to building healthy relationships that are worthy of your time, space and energy. If you don’t tackle your beliefs in what you deserve, and all the aspects of your previous relationship, you’re likely to repeat the pattern. Getting out isn’t what breaks that pattern. The work that follows is.
My guest today, Kelle Salle, is a writer, blogger and owner of Kelle’s Space, a lifestyle website launched in 2017, dedicated to educate, inspire and empower millennial women through storytelling. She isn’t afraid to explore topics such as healthy and unhealthy relationships, friendships, wellbeing, mental health, travel and so much more.
Kelle’s inspiration for speaking out on some difficult topics comes from personal experience. She was in her own abusive relationship. Three years into her first serious relationship, and engaged to marry, Kelle realised this wasn’t how someone who loved her should treat her.
She struggled with the idea of leaving, mainly because her finance wasn’t physically abusive. Like many, he started the relationship as a loving and supportive partner. This allowed Kelle to believe that was his true nature, and the abusive turn he had taken was just a phase. She waited for him to change – not into someone she hoped he could be, but back into the person he had been.
I know so many listeners can relate to this, whether it’s an abusive relationship or just one that doesn’t honour you. That’s why it’s so important to talk openly about this subject. Kelle gives so much excellent advice and tips in this episode. If you’re curious about her tips to breaking the pattern of abusive relationships so you can build healthy relationships from this point forward, then you don’t want to miss this.

I think most of us aren’t naïve enough to think that someone in an abusive relationship can always leave easily. There are so many factors to consider, from safety and having a support network in place to financial viability and the level of assistance that is available.
Today we’re talking about what it took for our guest to leave her domestically violent relationship, even while she was supporting other victims and vulnerable people to do the same.
Jodie Marshall works with young girls and women who have been abused or are in violent and abusive relationships. She also delivers training to professionals both in the UK and Brazil, working with sexually exploited girls in the UK and young people involved in gangs in both countries.
Jodie’s work is inspired from her own experiences with domestic abuse and the lack of support and understanding she faced in her quest to find safety.

How do you heal after child abuse? The statistics for survivors of all the various types of child abuse are staggering. One of the many things we don’t talk about often enough is the fact that these children grow up to become adults.
Like any other adult, survivors are expected to be normally functioning members of society: we work, date, marry, give back to our community, and perhaps even have children of our own. But when violence, neglect, or inappropriate love is all you received in your childhood, how can you go on to have a normal, loving, successful adulthood?
Today we’re talking about the steps my guest takes everyday along her healing journey. She is Caryn Walker, a qualified life coach and counsellor, author of her memoir, “Tell me you’re sorry, Daddy”, and survivor of child abuse and rape.
Caryn knows what it’s like to not want to talk about her past, and the revelations it took to realise that’s exactly what she needed and wanted to do. Once she was in a place in her life when she felt secure enough to be vulnerable, had a soft place to fall, and had learned to trust her own gut instincts, she came forward. As a result, her abuser was arrested, charged, and sentenced to 16-years in prison. It took her 30-years to speak up, but she’s now found her voice. She tells her story in order to help other victims find their voice.

My guest today, Jess Bramhall, was brought to the brink of death four times by her eating disorder and was diagnosed with sever osteoporosis at the age of 21. She was even asked to plan her own funeral! In 2010, when Jess was 28, she arrived at City Hearts, dragged there by her mum to join a residential programme called Restore. She weighed four stone due to her eating disorder, OCD, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, and was adamant nobody could help her. In fact, she was convinced she couldn’t do life.
Thankfully, her experience at City Hearts was different from all the other treatment she had received. They believed in her and treated her as an adult. And in doing that, Jess finally began to see that she could be helped.
Now, she’s a Health and Wellbeing support worker at the very place that saved and changed her life, helping others find freedom from their own fears. And she’s on the show today to share not only her story of battling and recovering from anorexia and more but gives her top tips on coping day-to-day.

How well do you know yourself? That might seem like a very strange question but so many people go through the actions of living, without paying a whole lot of attention to it. They don’t understand themselves. For instance, what’s your “go-to” when you’re upset, happy, exhausted…? Most of us reach for comfort food, or drinks, when there may be many other comforting rituals that you could adapt that would give you the same feeling of comfort, without the pain of eating an entire bag of crisps.
Today we’re talking about re-framing your comfort zone, to create healthier habits that meet your needs. It’s not about giving up a lot of things you enjoy, but about adding and changing key components in your life.
Today's guest, Karen Cummings-Palmer, is a certified integrative health and nutrition coach, speaker and founder of 79 Lux. She specialises in age management, weight management and beauty from the inside out. She doesn’t believe in rules, diets or fads. Award-winning Coach, Chris Atley, blows the roof off in this episode. We hear people throwing around these ideas about manifesting your dream life, but they always make it seem like you say a mantra a few times a day and abracadabra! Rarely does anyone talk about the work involved, the concept of opening yourself up to receive, getting clear on the outcome you desire, holding yourself accountable, your mindset surrounding failure, or your interaction with and expectation of the Universe. Never mind the most impactful concept Chris spoke about today, in my opinion: your beliefs.
If you don’t know what belief is running the show, and unpack those beliefs, challenge them and re-write their script, you’re simply going to keep getting in your own way to success.
We talk about so much more in this episode too, like how the idea that everything will just ‘flow’ if it’s meant to happen is a bunch of BS, the influence the film ‘The Secret’ had on her life, the challenges and down right obstacles her and her family faced when trying to manifest her dream of living in California, how to know when to stick with it and persevere or throw in the towel and redirect your energies, and how to use a vision board effectively as a manifestation tool.

The way we view the world and our place in it depends on many factors, like our past experiences. When you grow up with domestic violence, it doesn’t just affect your view on healthy relationships or your expectations on how to be treated when in a relationship. It also affects your emotional, psychological and mental health.
My guest today, LaNette Kincaid, is a Christian businesswoman, author, and the founder of Women with Gifts, a non-profit organisation supporting low-income women. She is no stranger to the long-term effects of domestic violence. She is also no stranger to a sudden and baffling illness threatening to end her life. But in the midst of it all, she was given new purpose. Instead of listening to the mantra telling her she couldn’t do it, she battled back. She founded Women with Gifts as a way to help educate other women about the three silent killers of women, at the time: Domestic violence, sexual assault, and breast cancer. She wrote her book, Women Are Roses to inspire women, showing them that if she could get through her challenges, so could they.
Are you ready to learn how LaNette surpassed it all to build her organisation, become an author, and dedicate herself in the service of others? I’m telling you now, we cover so much goodness in this episode.

Have you ever thought of writing a book?
Maybe it’s not a book you’ve been contemplating. Maybe it’s starting your own business or branching out in your field. Maybe what you’re contemplating is a lifestyle change, or even a change in where you live.
What’s stopping you?
Today we’ll be talking about overcoming that voice in your head that says “I can’t do it”, “I’m not good enough”, “I don’t know enough”, “I’m not the expert in my field I need to be to have the right to do this”. You know that voice, don’t you?
Daniella Blechner is the founder of Conscious Dreams Publishing, best-selling author of Mr. Wrong, and Book Journey Mentor. She knows exactly what it’s like to face that voice, threatening to stop her in her tracks. Like most of us, she constantly asked herself who she thought she was to write a book. Have you ever been pushed outside your comfort zone so hard and fast that the only way you could even consider carrying on despite the discomfort, was to count on that one person that had your back, no matter what? It’s probably the person that nudged you in that direction in the first place. It’s definitely the person you know will have your back regardless of the outcome. And that dedication, support and unwavering belief in you holds you upright.
What happens when you lose that person? Maybe it’s a relationship breakdown where you suddenly find yourself single, feeling vulnerable, without support. Or maybe it’s your relationship with your best friend, that very gradually fades off in the distance with life just getting in the way.
My guest today, singer and songwriter, former Philippine Idol contestant, and World Championships of Performing Arts medal winner, Red Tan, knows exactly what it’s like to lose that constant support system, her soft place to fall, her number one fan: her husband. In 2017, Red Tan lost her husband to illness, and instantly became a single mother to their son.
Faced with this insurmountable loss, Red Tan had a decision to make: how did she want to be defined?
She put all her focus on her “why”: Helping others and making a difference. She’s not afraid to take risks, putting herself out there, wearing her heart on her sleeve through her song lyrics, all to help others realise how important they are.
Her debut EP, Don’t You Dare, dedicated to her late husband, inspires everyone to use the challenges, failures, rejections, criticisms and even mental health setbacks as stepping-stones to rise-up, stay on track, and reach their goals.
Are you ready to learn Red Tan’s tips for building confidence, dealing with rejection, and the importance of having a “why”? I promise, you won’t want to miss this episode with this incredible inspiration.

Teresa Bulford-Cooper and I dive deep into some of her obstacles over the years, specifically dyslexia, and what it took to decide to continue with her dreams despite the impostor syndrome that threatened to engulf her. She gives her top tips on overcoming this potentially dream crushing condition.
Whether it’s someone telling you that you aren’t good enough, your experiences making you feel like you’re not good enough, or a poor health diagnosis standing in your way, you have the power to make the decision that you can have this, you will have this, and you do deserve this, whatever ‘this’ may be.
I’ll leave you with this quote from Teresa’s A-Level Chemistry teacher, when she was literally pulling her hair out in class over not understanding the information in front of her, about to let those feelings of not being good enough engulf her: “It’s not always the bright, clever ones that make it you know, it’s the ones that have stick ability and don’t give up that make it.”
