Here are my tips: 1. Always remember to look out for number one which is yourself. You can't take care of others until you take care of yourself first.
Work with your care team when it comes to managing diabetes. You can't afford "bad advice" and it is dangerous to change your regimen without consulting your care team.
Finally, have a support system in place. Don't live your life with diabetes alone. Educate your friends and family on how to support you. It also helps to get a diabetes educator in yourcorner!

Diabetes is a condition that affects the whole human being: 1) mentally, 2) physically, 3) spiritually, 4) socially, etc. In his experience, thriving with Diabetes requires being intentional about educating, caring and continuously improving oneās health. Working at it requires a decisive commitment at some point. Make it your priority. Learn as you go. Ask for help. Make necessary changes. Work on one thing at a time, if necessary.

Hello to all of my Diabetic Loves, and people loving someone with Diabetes!
Welcome to episode 8! This is part two of last month's Loving Friends, episode. I was asked by a few folks to have a continuation because the previous episode was a bit short. We were able to have an amazing Zoom call, and instead of me asking questions, I asked My Loving Friends to ask me anything they'd like to know. The video episode is available on Instagram, and the link is below. I thought it was important to show that we, as diabetics have people, our friends who love and care so much about us. If you're able and willing to and open about Diabetes, we should give them as much information as possible about our diabetic companion.
