WHAT Shall We Do?
Bear fruit! We minister together for God's glory and man's good with excellence in mind and heart!
"Excellence is attained when we care more than others think necessary,
risk more than others think practical,
dream more than others think about and
expect more than others think possible."
HOW Did Jesus Describe Fruit-Bearing?
Jesus said, "...Every tree is known by its own fruit. A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, brings forth good; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure of his heart, brings forth evil." Luke 6:44a, 45 (NKJV)
WHY Are Fruits In/For Life So Treasured?
First, the Holy Spirit produces fruit to give to us for life!
(Gal. 5:22 Philip. 1:11, Prov. 11:30, 12:14)
Second. we produce fruit to give to God and man.
(Col. 1:10, Heb. 13:15, Romans 10:8
WHO Desires Excellent Fruit For God, Man?
Natural man? Carnal/Worldly man? Spiritual man?
Daily Excellence is... doing our best, with what we have, with the people around us, every chance we get, by God's power, for His glory and man's good.
Matthew 13:52
EXCELLENT TREASURE-HOUSE DIRECTION FROM JESUS:
#1. Storehouse? We're storing all we're learning.#2. Bring them out? Means living **out our learning.
Care more...
Risk more...
Dream more...
Expect more...
Whatever you do, do it all to God's glory!**
Matthew 13:44

We will find that our cost is far below the value.

Can you say, "I've found the kingdom of heaven"? What's next?**
Psalm 33:12, Proverbs 14:34, Exodus 19:5, I Peter 2:9, I Timothy 2:1ff, Matt. 22:21, Acts 17:24ff, Psalm 2:1-13, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Matt. 24:7, Acts 2:5, Isaiah 40:15, Matthew 28:19, Revelation 5:9ff, Proverbs 28:12, 29:18
What does God say about nations, people, politics, leaders, citizens / citizenship, and "the" church and "our" church and the future?"To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God."William Temple
Family Treasures!
Rare and beautiful family treasures come because:
We build our family life on God's wisdom. We establish our family life by understanding. We fill the rooms with treasures byknowledge.
Rare and beautiful treasures like...?
"Magi...bowed down and worshiped him. They opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh."The Wise Men's rugged and real experience of wonder and worship defines and demonstrates why it's still wise and wonderful to worship God "in spirit and in truth" as Jesus said. **Some "real worship" truths: Journey, Jeopardy, Joy, Jesus!
Sometimes we are called to worship when we are wounded.
You will become like what you worship.
Never lose the wonder.
Worship means "to bow down"...humble yourself."To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God." William Temple
Have you opened the gift of your life for Christ?**
Why does Apostle Paul open the Treasure Chest? (Colossians 2:1-5)
We believe and struggle side by side in life. (Vs. 1)
We thrive on courage, love and understanding. (Vs. 2a)
We get excited when we're "in the know" about God and where His treasures are hidden! (Vs. 2b, 3)
We overcome! "Wisdom and knowledge" defeat the deceivers' "fine sounding arguments". (Vss. 3,4)
We flourish as our faith in Christ "firms up". (Vs. 5)
**1) We "connect" with one another better.
2) We overcome "disorder", enjoy new "order".
3) Christ is our steering wheel, not the spare tire.
4) Our "testimony" has weight.
Are you living out of God's "treasure chest"?**

HOW IS JESUS CHRIST UNIQUE?
Definition: Being the only one of its kind. Incomparable.
Synonyms: Unequaled, unexcelled, unparalleled, unrivaled, second to none, beyond compare, peerless.
In His nature; He had a holy nature...John 1:1-2; Hebrews 1:8; Titus 2; 2 Peter 1; Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1; Romans 9.
In His voice...His words; by saying it, He could make it happen. Matthew 9:1-8
In His actions...Jesus is the only religious leader who said, "I will die for others sins". Then He rose on the third day. John 3:16
You can go to the grave of every religious leader and find their bones there. Jesus' tomb is empty!
Today we light the Angel's Candle on the Advent Wreath, illuminating the Power of Christ's future return.
Remember the true, real impact of Christmas! It's the incarnation of God in Christ!
Angels play and played a significant role in Christ's life. They ministered to Him at the cradle, the cross, and Revelation describes their role at His future coronation.
At His cradle angels revealed His purpose, ministry.
"An angel of the Lord appeared...suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.'" Luke 2:9ff
At His cross angels were at His call to release Him. "Jesus said, 'Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?'" Matthew 26:53; Isaiah 53; Hebrews 12:1-3, 1:14
At His coronation angels will revere, celebrate Him. "Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand..." Revelation 5:9ff
Do you believe the Christ of the cradle, the cross & the crown?
"But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law that we might receive the full rights of sons."**Galatians 4:4,5
Remember the true/real significance of Christmas - the incarnation of God in Christ!**
**Read Luke 2:8ff
We need God's purpose within us - usefulness!*We see God's* transcendence, leading to eternal life.
We've received Christ's gospel to communicate.
We commit our self/ego to God, His glory, our good!
Are you committed to Christ? How so?**
God prepared, readied the places, the people, the purposes for the birth of Christ - the Incarnation!
He prepared Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:1ff)
He prepared Mary and Joseph. (Matthew 1:18ff)
He prepared a body for Christ to be our vicarious substitutionary atonement (at-one-ment). (Hebrews 10:5-7. 2 Cor. 5:21, Isa. 53)
He prepares us to be prepared. (2 Timothy 4:2)
Others prepare us
We prepare ourselves
We prepare others
It is unwise, foolish, damaging, sinful, tragic to live unprepared for life/death when there's GOD!
Are you prepared? Make sure. (2 Peter 1:10)
Advent reports the coming of Christ from heaven to earth! The Advent Wreath visualizes the who, what, when, where, why and how God brought His Son to us.
How do we demonstrate these three to God and one another and our world?
Through the "new and living way" Christ opens for us, shown in the "Let Us" factor named Hebrews 10:19-25
First, let us draw nearto God...
Second, let us hold unswervingly...
Third, let us consider how...
Fourth, let us not give up meeting...
Fifth, let us encourage one another...
Beware! The Hurry, Worry & Bury Disease is near you. But God has a cure for this discouraging disease!
God's cure for Hurry is "Be still and know..."
God's cure for Worry is "trust...."
God's cure for Bury is "Lift up your eyes..."
Our treasure and His power are manifest in our lives, which are jars of clay.
God is stronger than strong! Through Him you can be stronger than you've ever been.
Strength is required for your journey, just as it was for the two disciples on the Emmaus Road.
From Bethlehem to Jerusalem; from an infant to a Messiah; from the cross to his throne in glory!
TNT - The New Testament Church
Let His church be our church. "I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it..."Matt. 16:18
Extraordinary Traits of Christians...A New Testament Christian is a person in whom Christ lives today! We must walk as Jesus did.
How To Be A Great Church
God-Inspired; Established; Amazing; Providential; Essential; Uplifting
Being a successful steward is not about money. A successful steward recognizes that God is creator/owner of all, then responds by faith as beneficiary, manager of life, fully accountable to God. God reciprocates!
