In one of Jesus’ most significant interactions, He challenges a devoted young man to sell everything and follow Him. As devoted as he thought he was, he wasn’t devoted there… and so he went nowhere with Jesus. In this installment, we are challenged to identify our “there” so that we follow wherever, wherever and however Jesus leads.
God built us to give. Now, that's probably a cue most take to skip this installment, but why...? What are you afraid of? In this installment we'll discover that we are built to give collectively as the church and we'll see how when we give individually it enables us to give more collectively. Let's be what we were built for... givers.
You have to build community before you need community; otherwise, you're gonna want community and not have community because you didn't build community when you could. Discover the community God built you to need and how you can find it personally as we continue to be BUILT FOR IT.
We are built to serve. To use our gifts and talents for God to benefit others... and to save us. See, serving will save you. Not in a "go to heaven" kind of way, but as a way of protecting, guiding, leading and directing us. Lean in today and let's do what we're built to do, serve.
