"This song was inspired by my collaborator and producer YAYAN. He gave me the line 'Earphones in the Smoking Area' and challenged me to write something to it. Did I deliver or nah?"

"This work was easy, the type of thing that comes to life through light conversation. Yet what was made is phenomenally heavy and mixed. If I am being honest, I don't what kind of artist I am. I just enjoy making things with people who also enjoy making things and YAYAN is one of those people who makes the process smooth and equal. Although I mention my lack of commitment in this piece, I would say that a loyalty I do maintain is one towards mental health advocacy. This poem came from a place of pain and just trying to figure out how to move forward in despite of it. I hope that at least one person will be soothed by this. Thank you for listening."
