MRAC Connect - Community Voices is a platform to bring awareness and inform Torontonians of community issues across the GTA.  In today's episode we interview Margot Boyd from Friends of Toronto Public Cemeteries.  The goal of Friends of Toronto Public Cemeteries is to return the trust to the public and to restore and preserve the historic and heritage value it represents to the people of Toronto.  The Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a popular connection for runners, hikers, cyclists and walkers to gain access to the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail and the ravines.  Recently, due to Covid-19 social distancing, Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries closed their gates to the public, effectively blocking this access.  Intro music is composed and written by Maceo Burton from Toronto, On.  For more by Maceo visit her SoundCloud account at https://soundcloud.com/maceob.
