Triple J's Mix up started way back in the late 90's this was one of the first of the Saturday night series to go live on air nationally around Australia at Nation @ the Tivoli SA on April 30, 2000. Banging trance goodness from the peak of Trance in the late 90s and 2000's. Adelaide sounded so great (Intro by DJ Brendon)
One of the only recordings done with Josh Vs Ericson AKA DJ JoSH and Tim Ericson who have worked on numerous productions and remixes such as the popular release STAR RIDER JvE FEAT AMI. The Chillout mix can be found on BeXta MiXology vol 9 on Central Station Records. "Star Rider" (DJ Archie remix) is also available on "Fresh Air" Vol 2 through Fresh Fm or Itunes. Tim Ericson is one half of the "SKIPRAIDERS" famous for their tune on "Kevin and Perry go large" soundtrack released on Paul Oakenfolds PERFECTO label with featured the SKIPRAIDERS ode the Adagio for strings "Another Day". Josh and Tim only did a few gigs together and this recording is one of them. This Mixed Tape was one of my most popular house sets ever recorded and distributed back in the days of Q club, Cargo, Heaven and the height of Adelaide's clubbing scene. I did'nt play house music as much as I did trance, not through personal choice but by popular demand I was better known for my uplifting sets of High energy and banging Trance. But those who followed me in the earlier years know I was brought up on Italio house and big Diva vocal house "when house was just house music" way before I discovered Trance. Adelaide legend and artist Emma Hack was the one person who always booked me for her events playing house this one is dedicated to her for all the opportunities she gave me in my early years as one of the original female DJ's breaking out into the main stream. PART 2 of the infamous mix that sold over 300 cassette copies back in 1999 it was available at Central Station records in Rundle Mall where you could find your favourite DJ's buying up their weekly vinyl and purchase one of their mixed tapes from the counter! This recording was done during the course of Wednesday night CARGO, Thursday night CHEMISTRY, Friday night SODA ROOM (Absolut Friday), Saturday night SYNAGOGUE, Sunday Night Q and Sunday morning at DREAMERS. This reflects the DJ JoSH style from 1997 to 2000 when only the hardest of hard core could party every gig every week - long live the E generation!
Part 2 as promised the 2nd installment of Dreamers taken from 10 years ago! Dreamers was the place to be every Sunday morning upstairs with JoSH and downstairs with Movin Marty! Club 199 has never been the same since.
