Anxiety, career, responsibilities, self-love, ... These are just a few things life throws at you during your (early) twenties. We know it's hard, we know it's confusing. Been there, do- ... still there. Look at Stuck Between as a safe space to have a laugh, cry a little and know you're not alone.
In this episode, Shay talks about how she hasn't been feeling in touch with herself lately and how she's struggled with living in the present. She dives a little bit deeper into the topic of Living in the Moment, opens up about her own life and shares some exercises that can help you live more in the present and become more mindful.
PS. Soof is having her hot girl summer in France, so it's just a 1-1 with Shay this episode.
Summer's in town and we all know what that means... Time for our social media timelines to get flooded with "tips to get that perfect summer body" and weight loss ads being shoved in our faces. In this episode we discuss the "Summer Body" trend and give you tips on how to free yourself of the toxicity of this trend.
Did you wake up at 5 am, make green smoothies, did a workout, some yoga and some journalling. Oh and of course had some avocado toast?
Chances are that you are that girl
But is that really all that we need to get our lives on track and all figured out?
In today’s episode, we explore the idea surrounding the That Girl trend and what it actually stands for.
Join our train of thoughts to see what it is and more importantly: how can we improve it?
Do you look at yourself as a 'people pleaser'? Then it might be that you struggle with setting healthy boundaries or even might lack them overall. In this episode, we cover what boundaries are, the importance of having them and tips on how to start setting healthy ones. However, this isn't done in 1,2,3, but it's a process and listening to this episode might be your first step!
In this weeks episode, we cover the topic of the Body Positivity Movement vs the Body Neutrality Movement. We speak about what exactly both of these movements are, what they stand for and some criticisms they've received. Most of you are probably familiar with the term 'body positivity' but might not be so familiar with 'body neutrality'. If you struggle with body image or even just struggle with having 'bleh' days sometimes, body neutrality might just be the perfect thing for you.
WELCOME BACK!!!
We have missed talking to you all so without further ado: Welcome to Season 2 of Stuck Between IDK, IDC & IDGAF ✨
Our first episode of this season is one that we find very exciting and interesting. We will dive a bit deeper into the different mindsets and how we can go to the ultimate 'growth mindset'.
While sharing some research and some anecdotes, we try to figure out in which mindset we recognise ourselves.
At the end, we also share some tips & tricks on how to grow towards THE mindset
Starting something new is inevitable but that does not make the process easier! In this episode Shay & Soof will dive deeper into some aspects of their lives where they had to start something new and the feelings that came with it.
It is very difficult to get out of that 'comfort zone' but remember that life is a bumpy ride anyways so you better take that leap of faith!
Cancel Culture... We're pretty sure most of you are familiar with this term, but what do you think about it? Is it always justified? Is it healthy to live in a society that thrives off of cancelling people?
In this episode, Soof and Shay dive deep into this topic and share with you their thoughts on different cases such as the Johnny Depp - Amber Heard case, Gabi Demartino Case and the Tati - James Charles Case. They also speak about their opinions on cancel culture itself and what they'd change about it.
Welcome to the second episode of our series 'Breaking Taboos'! In this series we'll be discussing topics that are still considered to be taboos in today's society and that most people and the media prefer to stay quiet about. This episode covers the following topics: Abortion, body hair & plastic surgery.
These are some topics that are actually (very) personal decisions but often society and other people are pressuring their views. It is just important to take with you that you only need to do what you are comfortable with!
We hope that you all also enjoy this second episode X
In this episode, we will be talking about a very sensitive topic: Abuse. Abuse can take many forms and is sadly something that still happens far too often.
Shay shares her story on the subject and we'll also focus on what you can do as a friend, family member or somebody noticing that someone else is in a difficult position.
Disclaimer: this episode contains references to sexual, emotional, physical & mental abuse. If you have been affected by any of these issues, then please listen with caution.
March is 'Endometriosis Awareness Month'. In honour of this very important subject, we wanted to dedicate an episode to this condition. Endometriosis is something that 1 in 10 women are affected by and that can have an impact on their fertility, therefor we found it very important to dedicate a whole episode to it. In this episode, we share a story of Shay's mom who has had this condition but we also further break down the importance of talking about this unknown but very important subject!
In honour of International Womens Day, we decided to dive into 'what it is like being a woman in a man's world'. We speak about the still existing double standards, the gender pay gap, violence against women and how even our legal system still succeeds to fail us.
Things need to change. Therefore we #ChooseToChallenge because a challenged world is an alert world.
This is the first episode of our brand new series 'Breaking Taboos'! In this series we'll be discussing topics that are still considered to be taboos in today's society and that most people and the media prefer to stay quiet about. This first episode covers the following topics: Girls being vocal about liking sex, masturbation and money. (We might also have slipped to the taboo that is periods and discharge for a bit lol).
Ever since we were young, these topics were never spoken about. Often people feel embarrassed about liking sex and masturbating while that isn't something you're supposed to be ashamed of. It's something natural and there's nothing wrong with it.
Hope you guys enjoy!
High standards, not feeling like you belong somewhere, just plain luck, undermine your own achievements and feeling like a fraud, …
These are just a few topics that we will address in today’s episode about “The Imposter Syndrome”
We will talk about some of the struggles that we had over the years with feeling like we are not good enough or not deserving of something in our lives. We will share some anecdotes of our academic lives, social situations, work & relationships.
This episode, we really wanted to focus one one of the groups that we feel are a bit neglected: the students.
We mainly talk about how we feel the government has “failed” them, what they can do and a few tips on how you can make it through this very confusing and challenging time. But know that we hear you and support you ❤️

This episode (by far one of our favs) has one main goal: help you embrace your inner badass!
We talk about how we used to portray ourselves differently and how we have learned to embrace who we are and who we want to become in life. As well as explain ways on how to stop caring so much about what others think of you and to start living YOUR life for YOU. We also share some of our favourite self help books and much much more.
Nothing makes us happier than bringing up some old, embarrassing stories about our drunk selves. So to ease the mood a little during these crazy times, we decided to tell you all about our craziest drunk memories. Hopefully, we'll be able to make some more soon. Hope you enjoy!
In this episode, we wanted to talk about how we’ve experienced coming fresh out of college. The uncertainty that comes with graduating is a feeling that a lot of students have at the moment and we want to give some tips on how we went about it. From graduating, applying for a job to the changed job market, we will discuss it all.
As girls, we’ve probably all experienced this at some point in our lives. Whether it was us giving another girl a nasty look or whether we received one ourselves for absolutely no reason. We see #girlssupportinggirls all over the internet, but why does it seem so hard to put into practice? In this episode, we talk about our own experiences, the reason behind it and how to deal with mean girls, or if you’re a mean girl yourself sometimes, how to change that.
In this episode, we are saying goodbye to 2020 👋🏼 Now that 2020 has officially passed, we did not want to dwell on what the year has been but focus on the future. Because of that, we are taking all the life lessons that we learned from it with us to the new year. We will share some of our personal discoveries concerning: self-love, keeping the magic in you, connecting with yourself and others and always being you. Perhaps 2020 was surviving, but 2021 will be thriving✨
Let’s take a trip down memory lane! From talking about buying our first bras to our favorite childhood toys and games, to Soof waving to the ice cream truck half naked. In this episode we bring up some lovely, but also sometimes embarrassing childhood memories. Take a break from the rollercoaster we’re going through with this whole pandemic and come along on our trip down memory lane to dig up some cherish-able memories.
This episode touches the newly and let’s be real great law in Scotland for making period products free! We will take a trip down memory lane and talk about our first periods and discuss some awkward moments. But for this episode, we also wanted to touch upon what society taught us about being a woman. Periods aren’t a taboo! Also, big love to our feminist men out there! (just know we’re not talking about you when we talk about toxic masculinity)
MERRY CHRISTMAS (hopefully)! In this festive episode, we want to focus on both the upside of celebrating Christmas differently and the downside of Christmas being the loneliest time of the year. Many of us are blessed with the access to technology and we can use it for staying in touch with loved ones, but sadly not everyone is that fortunate. This is why, we’re providing you with many ways of making the best out of this time. We also went over our bucket list of things that we want to have done these holidays. Stay safe & take care of each other. Remember: You are loved!
We wanted to start the podcast with a topic that is very important at the moment. Since Corona is still in the world, we wanted to take the time to sit down and talk about how quarantine has influenced our lives. Besides that, we also give some tips on how we are handling this crazy pandemic and how you can do too! But most importantly: STAY SAFE, STAY INSIDE & WEAR A MASK!
Welcome to Stuck between IDK, IDC & IDGAF! We are so happy you’re here and we can’t wait for you guys to dive in. Shay and Soof will take you on a trip through their minds and it can get messy sometimes hence this first episode. In this intro episode, we will introduce ourselves and the podcast but also talk about some subjects that will be touched along the way. As an animated cat (Garfield) once said: “I am not messy. I am organizationally challenged”
