This podcast is intended to be an alternative "prayer meeting" type place where you can gather with me (through this podcast) and encounter Jesus Christ through the Scriptures and experience Matthew 18:20 ("Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them") coming true. It is a scary and exciting time. I believe we could all use some direction and encouragement the Scriptures offer for times just like these.

Genesis 18:16 - After this, the men set out from there and looked out over Sodom. Abraham went with them to send them off. 17 - "Should I hide from Abraham what I'm about to do," the Lord asked.
Genesis 17:17 - Abraham fell to the ground, laughed, and told himself, "can a child be born to a 100-year-old man? Can a 90-year- old Sarah give birth?"
Genesis 16:1 - Now Abram''s wife Sarai had not borne a child for him. She had an Egyptian servant girl whose name was Hagar.
It was a great victory for Abram. The forces who had taken Lot hostage were defeated. Lot, his family and all his possessions were recovered in addition to all the other families, possessions and spoils of conflict. It is here that the king of Salem, Melchizedek, priest of the Most High God pronounced a blessing upon Abram.
What seemed as a logical sound decision to move to where life would be easy turned out to be a disaster for Lot and his household as he was thrust into a conflict which ended in Lot losing his home, his stuff, and his freedom.
Genesis 13:1-4 - Abram traveled from Egypt, along with his wife and everyone who belonged to his household -- including Lot -- to the Negev. Now Abram had become quite wealthy and livestock silver and gold. He journeyed by stages from the Negev to Bethel, the place where his tent had formerly been, between bethel and AI, where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.
On our way to the promised land we have to pass through this sin-infested place called Earth. Let's not take our eyes off the prize of heaven but call upon God always in every situation.

Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the Lord with all of my heart in the assembled congregation of the upright. Psalms 111:1. God truly does amazing things. Let's reflect on this Psalm today and know that the greatest acts of God have always been within our reach.
Being in contact with Jesus, the Word made flesh, awakens within us a powerful transformation. Let's take a brief look at how one man's life was changed forever.
In God's advice to Laodicea He said: "therefore I advise you to buy from me gold purified in fire so you may be rich, white clothes to wear so your shameful nakedness won't show, and ointment to put on your eyes so you may see. Revelation 3:18
Angels are God's super soldiers. The supreme army of God that defies human imagination. One day they will come with Jesus to deliver us from the forces of evil in this dark world.
Matthew 26:36 says: Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane. He told the disciples, "sit down here while I go over there and pray." Let's travel to Gethsemane with Jesus today and witness for ourselves His prayer and His pain as He made His decision to save you and me.
living in a sinful world means every day is filled with incidents in which we need to make sure we are up-to-date with God. We have a document, the Bible, which describes who we are, who God is, and all the benefits that come with choosing God. Let's look at Psalms 103 and remember all the benefits of having God as our Lord.
God invites us to come to Him. Let's come to Him today and discover all over again how much He loves us and wants us to be with Him for all eternity.
Ever thought of applying for the position of apostle? After reading what Paul has to say one might have second thoughts. Let's be diligent in following the Scriptures and not go beyond what God wants to teach us.
I don't have to be envious of others over what I don't have because in the end it all belongs to God anyway. Besides the world can't give us what God is preparing to give us. So let's boast about God because everything belongs to Him.
"...no one can lay any other foundation than the one that is already laid, and that is Jesus the Messiah." 1 Corinthians 3:11. Let's take care on how we build our lives upon this foundation. It's time to work on the building project of our lives.
Romans 8:8 says: Indeed those who are under the control of human nature cannot please God. Today let us focus our minds on the Spirit which leads to life and peace instead of the human nature which leads to death (Romans 8:6)
John 19:23 - When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts one for each soldier, and took his cloak as well. The cloak was seamless woven in one piece from the top down.
Has there ever been a time like this: pandemic economy unemployment distancing and now rioting? Let's continue watching, praying and passing on the hope of Jesus Christ to the generations coming after us.
Jesus' timing is always perfect - it doesn't always seem that way but when we look back we will see that He was right all along. May our hearts rest in the knowledge that Jesus has got everything figured out and we don't have to fear.

Jesus encouraged His disciples in John 14:1 - Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me. He also told them that they knew the way where He was going to go. If we know Jesus, we will know the way too!
There's a desperate search going on for a cure to Covid-19. This search seems to have eclipsed the search for cures to all other diseases. Jesus is still giving out immunizations against the much greater threat of sin and death. Let's receive a fresh dose of immunity today.
God is awesome! He deserves our worship and our obedience. Thanks for pausing for a few minutes today to worship God with me through Psalms 95. May we learn to understand His ways and listen to His voice.
Jesus is the Savior of the World. Don't just take my word for it. Spend time with Him for yourself and see that even though He knows all about us and our failed attempts at seeking fulfillment from the world, He still invites us to drink form His living water. He desires to be your Savior.
If the feeling of thirst means I'm already dehydrated, how much more my thirst for Jesus Christ? Let's grab a drink from the unending supply of living water that Jesus offers us today.
Which side of the bed will you wake up on today? Which resurrection will you wake up in? God's plan is for you to awake to everlasting life - that makes every day a good day!

Praise God, out future with Jesus Christ will involve the end of the devil, the end of all sin, a new heaven and earth, and a new government under God's rule that will be forever stable. Praise God that we can live under His rule staring now for He has always been King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
The people of Israel as described in the Bible, in the book of Numbers, were complainers. I'll admit, I'm a complainer too. When they started dying of snake bites God gave them a solution to their problem. He gave them Jesus. Let Jesus be your solution too!
Jesus did many signs and the people in His day were ready to make Him king. This was not the recognition He was looking for. Jesus wants to fill our hearts with His love. May we believe and be rooted in Him because of His love today.
The process of cleansing and change is not going to be easy. It'll take a miracle! But with Jesus, His cross is my sign; my motivation; my agent of change. May the cross of Jesus Christ be your agent of change too!
A Canaanite mother in the Scriptures displays great faith! I am thankful to Jesus for mothers who are willing to have tough conversations with Jesus over their kids who are unable to pray for themselves. May your desire be done!
We've reached the seventh day in our weekly cycle. May this Psalm awaken within you the need to praise God for all He has done for you. Trust Him and His plans for your life and know that He will always be just and never unfair.
In the gospel of John, Nathanael's faith was rewarded when he was willing to see Jesus who said to him "I saw you." Let's reach out to Jesus by faith in our private places of prayer and in our actions. One day soon when Jesus returns He will say "I know you"
John the Baptist spent his working career influencing people away from himself to Jesus. Jesus will end up with a following without number. We can be a part of that number and ultimately stay where Jesus is for eternity.
When God teaches He doesn't call those with abilities; He gives abilities to those who are willing to answer His call. Moses was taught by God and we can be taught by Him too if we are willing.
The Scriptures describe John the Baptist's answer to the question: Who are you? He was the voice of one shouting in the wilderness. Who does the Bible say you are?
The Word that created everything in the beginning; the Word that was with God and is God; this Word is Jesus Christ who became flesh and dwelt among us. Our Heavenly Father's only begotten Son is Jesus Christ. This is my Father's Word.
In a day when we are struggling with rights and freedoms, there comes shining into view the light of Jesus Christ. Receiving His light gives us a right that supercedes all others...it is the right to become God's children and heirs to eternal life.
The Scriptures encourage us to ask God for where the old reliable paths are so we can walk on them and find blessing and peace and rest.
There are times when we are hurt, grieving, or in trouble, and it feels like God is not there or not listening. You are not alone. King David felt this way and put it into many Psalms, one of which is Psalms 13. Listen to his words and pay attention to his conclusion!
Jesus designed within Eve and within each woman a creation mechanism with which to create human beings. You and I and the incarnate Jesus Christ were all formed through this mechanism. You are of incredible worth.
The voice of God can create worlds, wake the dead, and speak forgiveness to the most hardened sinner. Let His voice reach your life today.
