Curious about Jesus? About God? What is this about “God” being 3-in-1? How can anyone be 3-in-1, that just doesn’t make sense? The best way to answer and to understand these and other questions about “Christianity” is through the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. Join me as I travel through the Word of God to uplift the children of God, create unity through the Holy Spirit, and help people to know and understand who they are in Christ. What is a kinsman redeemer? What does Boaz have to do with Jesus? And why did Luke record a different lineage of Jesus than Matthew?

There are many in churches across this great nation that are "churched", they look like "Christians" or "Believers" but it doesn't go much deeper than looks. And there are those in the church who mature in the Word of God, they go from the milk to solid food and that allows them to be used by God to do great things in this world for the Kingdom of God.

Acts 1:1-5 tells us that Jesus taught His disciples while He was with them, but also that He taught the apostles during the 40 days after His burial and resurrection. This is vital to the body of Christ because He has shown us the importance of the Teacher who taught the apostles to be teachers of teachers and so on. This is legacy teaching. Now, don't confuse this type of teaching with Holy Spirit teaching, which is direct and personal for each of us, these teachers are important for the equipping and maturing of the saints so that they can hear clearly from the Holy Spirit.

From being anointed spiritually by the Father to being anointed in the flesh multiple times before His death and burial, Jesus was prepared for His walk in this world. Several scriptures display for us the precious gift of anointing:
Luke 4:18-19, Luke 7:36-50, John 12:1-8, and Matthew 26:6-13.

Division in the Church is something the Lord put on my heart, not just this last week, but this year and now is the time for this message. This will eventually be a three part series as the subject matter is too much for just this one message. Don't shy away from this message, listen to it, consider what God is saying at this time. It's not the only thing He is saying right now, but it is one of the things that He is saying emphatically right now. I hope you enjoy the message.

Build yourself up on your most holy faith!
Jude 1:20 is our scripture for this episode.
Let's start by clearing out any stumbling blocks of Old Testament teachings that lead people to believe that God is cruel and unjust and moving through to seeing God through the eyes of His Son, Jesus. Once the stumbling block is cleared away, we are on our way to freely building ourselves up on our most holy faith which is critical to a believer's survival in this world.

God has sown the Seed of Goodness, the Seed of Righteousness, the Seed of Truth into every Believer and the fruit thereof is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.

Thanks for joining me today, I had the privilege of being invited to preach this message for First Baptist Church of Tonganoxie and it was such a Blessing to me. The Shepherd is based on a vision that the Lord had given me in July 2021. I love the way the Lord will lead us, if we allow Him, to personalize the message for the congregation or the people that we are with at the time. This is a great message for the Christmas season and fit so well with Pastor Childs message from the week before, which was "Don't Leave Jesus In The Manger." I hope you enjoy this message and that it Blesses you as much as it has me.

Are we predestined to die at a certain day and time? Or has God promised us a long life? Is there a purpose for a long life? Or are we just afraid to die? Let's see what the Word of God has to say about it.

The Holy Spirit has been dealing with me on this part of the night. He re-enforced to me that we make light of Hell. That in our arrogance and lack of understanding we do not give serious thought and consideration to what Hell truly is. Instead, we think of it as something that we can defeat by ourselves or, because we can’t see it from here, it doesn’t exist. It’s just an old tale meant to scare people into believing a certain way.
The Holy Spirit showed me just a little of what it was like, helping me to compare it to things of this world but magnified 10,000 times over. Let’s look at some of what He showed me and then we will go to Scripture to see what it says.

It is important that we know the will of God for us, especially in the areas of our current struggles. Maybe we are dealing with sickness, disease, or poverty. Maybe we have a "yoke" of bondage that we need broken off of us. No matter what the issue, we need to seek God's Word on that issue, stand in the authority of Jesus' name and apply the Word (take action). A dear friend invited me to speak at his church and it was an honor to do so, thank you both for having me.

This is something that the Lord put on my heart to speak about and it's an important topic. We see these words in Malachi 3:13, yet they still apply today. No matter what we are dealing with, our words have much to do with it and today I hope to make it relatable for you.

Today I want to encourage you through the Word of God. There is a lot going on in the world right now that, for most people, doesn't make sense. Right is wrong and wrong is right, disasters, chaos, deceit and greed, among many other things, can leave you drained and on edge. That is why we need to turn off the news, tune out the world and tune in to God's Holy Word for encouragement, to refuel our spirit man so that we can withstand the wiles of the enemy.

Jesus’ baptism
The Work of the Holy Spirit
Luke 3:21-22 MEV Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son. In You I am well pleased.”
Here we see Jesus, after being baptized in water and then praying, receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as the “Holy Spirit descended...on Him,”.
Acts 19:4-7 MEV Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in the One coming after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all.
Again we see here that after being Baptized in Jesus, Paul laid hands on them and then they received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a separate baptism.
What are the benefits of Spirit Baptism?
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is for fruit bearing.
The infilling of the Holy Spirit is for service.1
1 Kenneth E. Hagin, The Holy Spirit and His Gifts, page 36.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 MEV But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyone for the common good. 8 To one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But that one and very same Spirit works all these, dividing to each one individually as He will.
The work of the Holy Spirit related to a person’s prayer language
Romans 8:26-27 MEV Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not
know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
1 Corinthians 14:2 MEV
For he who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to men, but to God. For no one understands him, although in the spirit, he speaks mysteries.
He intercedes for us and helps us to pray according to the will of God. My experience with the Holy Spirit
I had a lot of doubt when I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Doubt of self - could I receive - will I sound stupid - etcetera
Started with one word and over time grew.
Now I can be in prayer and slide right into praying in tongues without consciously
deciding to do so.

One of the issues that we run into after receiving Jesus is that worldly people, whether it's family, friends, etcetera, will come against us and our beliefs. Even people who claim to be Christians will come against us. This is part of the persecution of this world that we can expect to have happen and it doesn't have anything to do with us other than we chose Jesus and the world hates Jesus. Don't take it to heart and don't act out in anger, let's take about 30 minutes and discuss it, and while I don't have all the answers, perhaps I can shed enough light on it to give you a greater perspective.
Ephesians 4:17-24 MEV
Therefore this I say and testify in the Lord, that from now on you walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their minds, 18 having their understanding darkened, excluded from the life of God through the ignorance that is within them, due to the hardness of their hearts. 19 Being calloused they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20 But you did not learn about Christ in this manner, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off the former way of life in the old nature, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 and that you put on the new nature, which was created according to God in righteousness and true holiness.
Titus 2:11-14 MEV
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and in godliness in this present world, 13 as we await the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
Galatians 4:4-7 MEV But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born from a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth into our hearts the Spirit of His Son, crying, “Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a servant, but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Sorrow can be replaced with pain, hurt, toil, sorrow, labour, hardship.

Ephesians 1:19-23 NKJV
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

In this episode we see how Jesus' victory is our victory and how we can, as believers, look on every aspect of life in this world from the position of victory.
John G. Lake
From “The Strong Man’s Way to God,”
“There is an ultimate not in the heart of the Christian. It is the note of conscious victory through Jesus Christ. The nearer our life is tuned to that note of conscious victory, the greater the victory that will be evidenced in our life.”
“Beloved, there is a victory in God, the victory that characterizes the common walk of a highborn Christian. It is the strong man’s salvation. It is the salvation that comes from God because of the fact that the spirit of man touches the Spirit of God and receives that experience that we commonly speak of as the blessing of salvation from God. But beloved, the should that receives from God into his spirit that heavenly touch, knows, bless God, he does not have to be told by man, he knows by the Spirit of God that he has become the possessor of the consciousness of union with the Spirit of God which has enlightened his heart, filled his soul with holy joy, and caused his very being to radiate with God’s glory and presence.
The hunger of my soul for many a long day has been that I might be able to so present that high true note of God, that the souls of men would rise up in God to that place of power, purity and strength where the presence and character and works of Christ are evidenced in and through them. There can be no distinction between the exercise of the real power of God as seen in Jesus and its reproduction in a Christian soul. There is a purity, the purity of heaven, so high, so holy, so pure, so sweet that it makes the life of the possessor radiant with the glory and praise of God.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 MEV But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Oral Roberts - The New Testament Comes Alive, Volume Two
“Therefore, Christians,” he (Paul) says, “I thank God for this victory we have in the Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, be strong, be steadfast, do not move about in your faith; do not listen to everybody coming along trying to take away your faith in the resurrection of our Lord, for your labour is not in vain even when the persecutions hit.”
Romans 8:14-17 MEV
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. 15 For you have not received the spirit of slavery again to fear. But you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified with Him.
1 John 5:5 AMP Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.
John 16:33 YLT these things I have spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation, but take courage -- I have overcome the world.'

In this episode we break down part of Paul's prayer in Ephesians chapter 1, verses 17 & 18.
Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory (splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace, majesty) may give (bestow a gift) unto you the (through the Holy Spirit) spirit (they were already believers baptized by the Holy Spirit) of wisdom and revelation (disclosure, laying bare) in the knowledge (full discernment) of him (God):
That God desires to bestow a gift, through the Holy Spirit, of broad and full intelligence, laying bare the full discernment of God Himself.
18 The eyes (eyes of the mind, the faculty of knowing) of your understanding (deep thought, mind) being enlightened (to light up, to bring to light, render evident); that ye may know (perceive) what is the hope (joyful and confident expectation) of his calling (invitation), and what the riches (fulness, abundance, plenitude) of the glory (splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace, majesty) of his inheritance (possession) in the saints (most holy thing, believer),
That the eyes of your mind be increasingly brought into the light of His knowledge, His wisdom, His understanding that you perceive what is the joyful and confident expectation of His invitation to be His sons and daughters, basking in the fulness of the splendor of His inheritance in every believer.
That God desires to bestow a gift, through the Holy Spirit, of broad and full intelligence, laying bare the full discernment of God Himself. That the eyes of your mind be increasingly brought into the light of His knowledge, His wisdom, His understanding that you perceive what is the joyful and confident expectation of His invitation to be His sons and daughters, basking in the fulness of the splendor of His inheritance in every believer.

2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
James 3:3-6 NKJV
3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.Three-Fold Man
- Spirit
- Soul (mind, will, emotions)
- Body
The tongue can be a tool of my spirit or of my soul and what comes out of the mouth is what is in the heart (spirit) of the man.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Matthew 15:18 MEV But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man.The five physical senses of the body give information to the mind, but the mind is responsible for translating that information appropriately (according to our values).
Romans 7:23 MEV but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Refreshing and renewing my mind daily with the Word of God helps ensure my values are in line with God.
Romans 12:2 MEV Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

In this episode we take a look at casting down imaginations.
2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
John 10:10 NKJV The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Isaiah 14:12-15 NKJV 12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
Colossians 2:15 MEV And having disarmed authorities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them by the cross.
1 Corinthians 15:57 MEV
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Philippians 1:6 MEV I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:20 MEV For all the promises of God in Him are “Yes,” and in Him “Amen,” to the glory of God through us.

In this episode we take a look at why should I be obedient to the Lord?
I believe this to be a question that every believer has asked at least once in life. For non-believers, I want to enlighten your ignorance and for the rebellious I want to leave you no excuse.
Romans 2:12-16 MEV
12 As many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and as many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law, 13 for the hearers of the law are not justified before God, but the doers of the law will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, not having the law, are a law unto themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, while their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them, 16 in the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:19 MEV
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced, and all the world may become accountable to God.

In this episode we see a small part of what the Victory that Jesus Christ secured for us entails.
Colossians 2:14-15 TPT
14 He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all-our sins, our stained soul-he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.
15 Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!
1 Corinthians 15:57 KJVS But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:4 KJVS For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Deuteronomy 28:13 MEV The LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you will only be above and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today, to observe and to do them.
Romans 8:37 TPT Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors (1), and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything (2)!
Love has made us more than conquerors in four ways: (1) No situation in life can defeat us or dilute God’s love. (2) We know that divine love and power work for us to triumph over all things. (3) We share in the victory spoils of every enemy we face (Isa. 53:12). (4) We have conquered the Conqueror with merely a glance of our worshiping eyes. We have won his heart (Song. 4:9; 6:5).
Clearly implied in the text with the Greek word hupernikao. The love of God gives us “a glorious hyper-victory,” more than can be described or contained in one word. God’s love and grace has made us hyper-conquerors, empowered to be unrivaled, more than a match for any foe!

Psalm 34:4-10 NKJV
4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. 8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9 Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. 10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
Psalm 91:11 NKJV
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
Matthew 4:11 NKJV
11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Psalm 107:20 NKJV
20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

As Babes
Need physical care and nurturing the most
Everything is a new and exciting discovery
Spiritually, we have unfettered access to the Father
Spiritually, we enjoy Him but need Him the least
As Youths
Physically and emotionally we are more self-sufficient
We have learned some things but there is still a lot of exciting discoveries awaiting us
Spiritually our access to the Father becomes more challenged by the world
Spiritually our need for Him is on the increase
As Adults
We consider ourselves completely self-sufficient
Physically and emotionally we “feel” many things even for the first time
Spiritually the world is increasingly challenging our belief in our Father
Spiritually we need Him more now than ever before
As Seniors
We begin to consider what we need to give up
Emotionally we begin to consider death
Spiritually we wonder if our relationship with God the Father is enough
Spiritually we may have a legacy for multiple generations

Let's look at how Paul corrected the believers in Corinth when they started separating into groups based on who had taught them, very similar to how we have become so many denominations within what is supposed to be one Body in Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:1-11 TPT
1 Brothers and sisters, when I was with you I found it impossible to speak to you as those who are spiritually mature people, for you are still dominated by the mind-set of the flesh. And because you are immature infants in Christ,
2 I had to nurse you and feed you with “milk,” not with the solid food of more advanced teachings, because you weren’t ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready to be fed solid food,
3 for you are living your lives dominated by the mind-set of the flesh. Ask yourselves: Is there jealousy among you? Do you compare yourselves with others? Do you quarrel like children and end up taking sides? If so, this proves that you are living your lives centered on yourselves, dominated by the mind-set of the flesh, and behaving like unbelievers.
4 For when you divide yourselves up in groups— a “Paul group” and an “Apollos group”—you’re acting like people without the Spirit’s influence.
5 Who is Apollos, really? Or who is Paul? Aren’t we both just servants through whom you believed our message? Aren’t each of us doing the ministry the Lord has assigned to us?
6 I was the one who planted the church and Apollos came and cared for it, but it was God who caused it to grow.
7 This means the one who plants is not anybody special, nor the one who waters, for God is the one who brings the supernatural growth.
8 Now, the one who plants and the one who waters are equally important and on the same team, but each will be rewarded for his own work.
9 We are coworkers with God and you are God’s cultivated garden, the house he is building.
10 God has given me unique gifts as a skilled master builder who lays a good foundation. Afterward another craftsman comes and builds on it. So builders beware! Let every builder do his work carefully, according to God’s standards.
11 For no one is empowered to lay an alternative foundation other than the good foundation that exists, which is Jesus Christ!

Join me as we walk through scripture and see the majesty of God at work through His Faith. There is nothing in existence that exceeds the ability God’s Faith or can exhaust God’s Faith. And He put a measure of His faith in every born-again-believer.
He is Faithful
1 John 1:9 NASBS
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Hebrews 10:23 NASBS Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
2 Thessalonians 3:3 NASBS But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 NASBS Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NASBS No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

1 John 1:9 KJV
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
James 5:16 MEV
Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.
James 5:7-9 MEV
Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Notice how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until he receives the early and late rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is drawing near. 9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, lest you be condemned. Look, the Judge is standing at the door.
John 15:5-6,9-10 MEV
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing. 6 If a man does not remain in Me, he is thrown out as a branch and withers. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also loved you. Remain in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.
No public confession - embarrassment - being judged by others
My father in the faith is who I turn to if personal confession is not working.
Normally, as soon as sin becomes obvious I turn to the Lord for forgiveness and know that I have what I ask for.
I fellowship with the Father many times throughout the day and when I find a lack of understanding I turn to Him in prayer for the answer.

In this episode:
Jeremiah 29:11 MEV
For I know the plans that I have for you, says the LORD, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Do you know that God, our Father in heaven, isn’t concerned if we are worthy?
As if we could ever do anything righteous enough on our own to be considered worthy. Instead, He counts us worthy and He loves every one of us whether we choose Him or not. The Father says here that He has a plan for you.
We are the seed of Abraham and the promises He gave him are ours also. Jesus saw to that when He brought the Blessing of Abraham into the New Covenant.
Galatians 3:14 MEV so that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Not only that, but a better covenant that the old one as seen in:
Hebrews 12:24 AMP and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant (uniting God and man), and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks (of mercy), a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel (which cried out for vengeance).
Genesis 12:2-3 MEV I will make of you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless them who bless you and curse him who curses you, and in you all families of the earth will be blessed.”
Genesis 13:2,6 MEV Abram was very wealthy in livestock, in silver and in gold. 6 But the land was not able to support them both dwelling together because their possessions were so great.
Deuteronomy 6:10-11 MEV Then it shall be when the LORD your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you great and fine cities, which you did not build, 11 and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are full,
His plan for you included Jesus and salvation or soteria: rescue, safety, deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.
Spirit of Life: Romans 8:2 MEV For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
Healing: 1 Peter 2:24 MEV He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.”
Rich: 2 Corinthians 8:9 MEV For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that through His poverty you might be rich.
Deuteronomy 30:19 MEV
I call heaven and earth to witnesses against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
It is our choice to make.

Today we look at Psalm 150:1-6 and why it's good to praise Him! Where is the sanctuary today and partying, praise style.
Psalm 150:1-6 MEV
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the firmament of His power! Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lyre and harp! 4 Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with stringed instruments and flute! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with the clanging cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Sanctuary
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 MEV
What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? 20 You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Excellent Greatness
Philippians 4:8 MEV
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.
Party
1 Chronicles 15:29 MEV
Now as the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal the daughter of Saul was looking down from the window, and when she saw King David dancing and spinning, she despised him in her heart.

Luke 6:27-28 MEV "But I (Jesus) say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.If we are not walking in Love:
It can be also said this way:
1 John 2:11 MEV But whoever hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness,
and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
1 John 3:15 MEV Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no
murderer has eternal life remaining in him.
1 John 4:20 MEV If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar. For

Today we are talking about the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and their personal connection to born-again-believers.
Romans 8:14-15 NKJV
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Romans 5:8-10 NKJV
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
1 John 1:3 KJV
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
John 14:26 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Romans 5:5 AMP
Such hope (in God’s promises) never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Today I want to visit with you about a question that I hear often. Why should I? Why should I believe in God, in the Bible? It's a subject that brings up hard truths that many take offense too, yet they need to hear it. Why? Because the reward we receive is decided by who we follow, the devil or God. It doesn't matter how hard we argue that there is no devil or there is no God, the truth is both exist and the responsibility to decide for One and against the other is still ours and we can't get away from it. The Body of Christ can come together in one accord and make drastic changes to this world and we have all that we need to do it...God's Word.

Today let's look at Adam & Eve in the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:9,17 MEV
Out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, along with the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”
God walked with Adam in the cool of the day and taught him His knowledge just as He sent Jesus to us to be the fulness of His knowledge.
God gave to Adam the good.
He wanted to protect Adam from evil.
The fruit contained the knowledge of BOTH good and evil.
Like protecting a child from a hot burner on the stove.
The burner does good when used properly.
The burner can harm when not used properly.
God is Spirit. John 4:24 KJV
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
God’s wisdom is spiritual.
Man’s wisdom is worldly.
1 Corinthians 3:19 MEV
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness,”
1 Corinthians 1:21 MEV
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
Not our typical subject, but something that the Lord had on my heart to speak about. There is a need for people who have ambition, who have a drive to do something exceptional. Have you considered starting your own business, creating and patenting a new creation, offering a service to fill a need...have you considered being an entrepreneur? Your ability to create and start a business etcetera is vital to a strong society.

Today let's talk about worshiping God.
When you worship God, you minister to Him (waiter)
I worship Him, I minister to Him, because I love Him and I care for Him as He first loved me and cared for me.
Take time as you read through the Word of God to recognize His attributes, His characteristics, what it is that makes Him God.
We worship God for who He is:

Today we look at the last in the series of "I Am" in the book of John. In chapter 15, Jesus says "I am the vine..." and He labels God the Father as the "vinedresser" and believers as the "branches." What does this mean to us?
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:1-8 MEV
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that bears no fruit, He takes away. And every branch that bears fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean through the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, neither can you, unless you remain in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing.
6 If a man does not remain in Me, he is thrown out as a branch and withers. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.
8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Corporate praise is important and is simply a gathering of believers praising the Lord together. When each of us comes into an assembly already praised up, God can multiply our energy and anointing. We can elevate it even more when an assembly comes together and praises in one accord.
Matthew 21:12-16 NASBS
12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. 13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER'; but you are making it a robbers' DEN." 14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were shouting in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they became indignant 16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these children are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes; have you never read, 'Out OF THE MOUTH OF INFANTS AND NURSING BABIES YOU HAVE PREPARED PRAISE FOR YOURSELF'?"
Luke 18:43 NASBS
43 Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.
Luke 19:37 NASBS
37 As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,
Acts 2:1-4 KJV
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Today we look at Jesus' statement to the 11 apostles that He is the way, the truth, and the life.
John 14:6 MEV
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Let’s put it into context - this is taking place at the last supper. Judas Iscariot has just left and Jesus is telling the rest of them that He is leaving them to prepare a place for them with the Father and they cannot follow. Thomas says they don’t no the way to where He is going and this was the answer Jesus gave.
When Jesus gave up His Spirit on the cross, the veil that separated the holy place from the Most Holy was ripped in two from the top to the bottom.
Exodus 26:30-34 MEV
30 You shall set up the tabernacle according to the plan which you have been shown on the mountain. 31 You shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim, the skillful work of a workman. 32 You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks also shall be of gold on four sockets of silver. 33 You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, so that you may bring in the ark of the testimony within the veil; and the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the Most Holy. 34 You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy.
Matthew 27:50-51 KJVS
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Hebrews 9:8 KJVS
8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Hebrews 10:19-20 KJVS
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

In this episode we see, through scripture, why Jesus is worthy to be praised.
Three things to receive
1. Romans 8:2 NKJV
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Psalm 34:1-3 NASBS
1 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul will make its boast in the LORD; The humble will hear it and rejoice. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.

Today we take a look at the 5th in the series of Ministry Shorts called "I Am," with "I Am the resurrection..."
John 11:25-26 KJV
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11:25-26 AMP
Jesus said to her, “ I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (ad- heres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies; 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me [as Savior] will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus said to Martha, the sister of Lazarus, I exist as the One through Whom man shall be raised to life again and He Who gives the God-kind-of-Life.
He that has Faith in Me, though he may die, his Faith in Me shall cause him to live.
And whoever lives and has Faith in Me, The Consecrated Son of God, The Anointed One, The One Who has purchased rescue, safety, deliverance, health, and salvation for all, this person will never die.
Do you have Faith for this?
Note: Jesus “raised” Lazarus from the dead, He did not resurrect him at this time. We know this because Jesus is the 1st born of the resurrected and once a person is resurrected, they do not die again.

In this episode we take a look at what praise is and at our personal responsibility to create a praise element in our daily lives. Also, we look at how we use our personal praise lifestyle to bring an increased charge to our corporate praise atmosphere.
Definition according to the Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary:
The expression of gratitude for personal favors conferred; a glorifying or extolling.
To extol in words or song; to magnify; to glorify on account of perfections or excellent
works.
I’ve been taught that in Christianity, we praise the Lord for the things that He has done
for us.

Psalm 34:1-3 TPT
1 A song by King David composed after his escape from the king when he pretended to be insane Lord! I'm bursting with joy over what you've done for me! My lips are full of perpetual praise. 2 I'm boasting of you and all your works, so let all who are discouraged take heart. 3 Join me, everyone! Let's praise the Lord together. Let's make him famous! Today we continue to look at the famous phrase that Jesus uttered "I Am". This is the fourth instance in the book of John that Jesus proclaimed "I Am" and this time He said "I am the Good Shepherd..." or I exist as the Good Shepherd. We also take a look at three Greek words and how they are translated in the New Testament:
1. Zoe
2. Psuche
3. Pneuma
John 10:11 MEV (Jesus speaking) I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Isaiah 40:11 He shall feed His flock like a shepherd, He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
Ezekiel 34:23 MEV I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David. He shall feed them himself and be their shepherd.
Hey 13:20 MEV Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep.
John 10:10-11 KJV
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life (Zoe), and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life (psuche) for the sheep.
John 19:30 AMP
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and (voluntarily) gave up His spirit (pneuma).

In the final episode of Faith Hope Love, we take a look at God's Love that has been shed abroad in our hearts with the infilling of the Holy Spirit; what it is; what it does; what we are expected to do with it.
Faith, Hope, and Love are bound to each other. Where one is so are the others, even though they are not of the same importance.
_1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV_
_And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love._
_1 Thessalonians 1:3 MEV_
_remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patient hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of God and our Father._
_1 Thessalonians 5:8 MEV_
_But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation._
_We know that:_
Hebrews 11:1 KJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We have a Blood covenant between God and ourselves as believers. This is signed and notarized by Jesus Christ. It is a legally binding contract which gives believers the well founded expectation of good founded on God’s gracious promises in His Word. That is where the evidence is, in His contract, His Word, to us.
It is conditional, just like any other contract we enter into. Yet this contract is limited only by our hearts, our minds, and most importantly, our mouths.

We see in these verses that:
John 10:1-9 AMP
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up from some other place (on the stone wall), that one is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep (the protector and provider). 3 The doorkeeper opens (the gate) for this man, and the sheep hear his voice and pay attention to it. And (knowing that they listen) he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out (to pasture). 4 When he has brought all his own sheep outside, he walks on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call. 5 They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what He was talking about. 7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep (leading to life). 8 All who came before Me (as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders) are thieves and robbers, but the (true) sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved (and will live forever), and will go in and out (freely), and find pasture (spiritual security).
Matthew 7:13-14 AMP
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to (everlasting) life, and there are few who find it.

In this episode we dig in to Hope with the purpose of enriching our understanding of the Word of God and His promises to us, His children.
Merriam-Webster defines Hope as:
to cherish a desire with anticipation;
to want something to happen or be true Hope (the expectation of good)
According to Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary it is “Confidence in a future event; the highest degree of well founded expectation of good; as a hope founded on God’s gracious promises;”
Romans 5:1-2 KJVS1 Therefore being justified (being shown to be righteous) by faith, we have peace (the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation, its preservation, its deliverance, its safety) with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom (Jesus Christ) also we have access by faith into this grace (this gift of righteousness) wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope (rejoice in the well founded expectation of good) of the glory of God.
Romans 5:5 NLT
5 And this hope (well founded expectation of good) will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Psalm 71:14 KJV
But I will hope (have a well founded expectation of good) continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
Romans 8:24-25 MEV
For we are saved through hope (a well founded expectation of good), but hope (a well founded expectation of good) that is seen is not hope (a well founded expectation for good), for why does a man still hope (have a well founded expectation of good) for what he sees? 25 But if we hope (have a well founded expectation of good) for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for (that we have a well founded expectation of good for), the evidence of things not seen.

In this episode we look at John 8:12 "...I am the light..."
The Greek word used for light in this verse is used 56 times in the New Testament.
Today we look at three different verses supporting John 8:12.
John 8:12 TPT
12 Then Jesus said, "I am light to the world and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness."
Acts 22:6-8 MEV
“As I journeyed and came near Damascus, about noon suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. 7 I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?’ 8 “I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ “He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’
1 John 2:10 TPT
But the one who truly loves a fellow believer lives in the light, and there is nothing in him that will cause someone else to stumble.
1 John 1:7 NKJV
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Isaiah 58:11 is a verse that is very dear to me and so I wanted to approach it in a different manner today. Instead of breaking the verse down and expounding on it, I painted a picture with words of what it means to me. I hope you enjoy this and have a Blessed Wednesday.

So, what is faith?
Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." But what does that mean? That's a great question and we look at the Word of God, Wuest's Word Studies (Kenneth S. Wuest), The New Testament Comes Alive (Oral Roberts), and the mini-book, What Faith Is (Kenneth E. Hagin) to answer that question and to answer the question; where do we get faith?

In this episode we take a look at John 6:35, Jesus as the bread of Life. How good are God's promises! Here we see that Jesus, given as a gift to us from the Father, is the "bread" of life and bread is a substance that sustains us, without it, we wouldn't exist. Jesus also says that any that believes on Him shall never thirst and we see in John 7:38 that He says those that believe on Him - out of their belly shall flow rivers of living water. In Matthew 4:4 He says that man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Interesting isn't it that the devil would tempt Him with bread when He IS the bread of life. Hope you enjoy this Ministry Short and have a Blessed day.

Sometimes we doubt faith, hope, love, and feel as though things are just too much. That is when we need our Father in heaven the most. When the enemy comes to steal from you, you want to have your Faith tank full, which will keep Hope high and help you walk in Love in this world.
Faith, Hope, and Love are bound to each other. Where one is so are the others. They are not of the same importance,
“...the greatest of these is Love...”1”...without Faith it is impossible to please God...”2”...who against Hope believed in Hope...”31 Corinthians 13:1-2 YLT
1 If with the tongues of men and of messengers I speak, and have not love, I have become brass sounding, or a cymbal tinkling; 2 and if I have prophecy, and know all the secrets, and all the knowledge, and if I have all the faith, so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing;
1 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
2 Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
3 Romans 4:18 KJV Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

In this episode the we see how, by being led of the Holy Spirit, the disciples cared for one another by ensuring that no one suffered from lack. We're not talking about equal distribution here, but that if someone had a lack, it was met through fellow believers. We see in Acts 4:34-35 that there were disciples who were wealthy and prosperous, having lands and houses (more than one) and, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, were led to sell properties (they sold/sowed out of their overflow) and sow the money back into the ministry of Jesus by giving the proceeds to the apostles to distribute to those among them that had need. The greek word for "brought" is permissive, meaning that they did of their own free will. I give an example of the causative with Matthew 5:45 where God "causes" the sun to rise...so you can see the difference for yourself. Thanks for listening and Be Blessed.

In this episode we welcome in the New Year by addressing three questions that a lot of us ask ourselves while reflecting on the previous year.
1. Where do I start? It's all so overwhelming!
2. How do I change?
3. Can I really have the life I desire?
Not only are these questions very common, they are also important and that's why this episode is necessary. New Year's Resolutions are neat and fun and hopeful the first few times you make them, but as many of us have come to realize, they are powerless and ineffectual. And so we find ourselves wondering if change is even possible, is it worth getting our hopes up over only to be eventually let down and disappointed that true change has evaded us once again? The ways of the world are what have gotten us in this spot and it's by design. When Adam fell, he gave this world over to the devil and he became the god of this world. Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand therefore "worldly" ways cannot elevate us beyond our present "worldly" circumstances. To have true change, we have to join with the only one who has overcome the devil...Jesus. Through God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit we can change...they are the only ones who can effect change in us. So, if you find yourself hopeless, unreconciled, and burdened by this world's issues then this message is for you and I pray it is the answer that you have been seeking. God Bless.

In this episode we see how expanding on the Greek in Psalm 23 adds much richer content and a deeper understanding of all 6 verses.
1 The LORD is my shepherd (He tends to me) ; I shall not want (I do not lack any good thing).
2 He makes me lie down (to stretch oneself out) in green pastures (pastures of tender green grass); He leads me beside still (peaceful) waters.
3 He restores (returns to original condition) my soul (living being, mind, will, and emotions); He leads (guides) me in paths (trenches) of righteousness (rightness) for His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear (be afraid, will revere) no evil; for You are with me; Your rod (sceptre, mark of authority) and Your staff (sustenance, support of every kind), they comfort me.
5 You prepare (arrange, lay in order) a table (of king’s table, a meal) before me in the presence of my enemies (adversaries, distresses, harassers); You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over (saturation, satisfaction).
6 Surely goodness (pleasant, agreeable, excellent) and mercy (loving kindness) shall follow (pursue) me all the days of my life, and I will dwell (remain, sit, abide) in the house (dwelling, shelter) of the LORD forever.
This is personal for each of us and we are all in different places with our intimacy with God. It made a good difference to me when I began to realize that God wasn't some unknown being that I could never understand, but that He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As I grow in Word and in understanding, I come to recognize that all I have to do to know Him is to get involved with the Word of God, Jesus, through the written word, the Bible. As I read the word, I learn about God in His different persons and I learn about His intentions for me, for all who believe, and for the world. There is a reason behind God wanting us to grow beyond "the milk" into "solid food," and that is because we will get to know Him and His will for us.

In this episode we cover the great commission from Jesus, that is to go and make disciples of all the nations. Three things that we will cover here are:
- Love the Lord your God & Love your neighbor.
- Get planted in a good church.
- Become spiritually mature.
Scriptures include:
Matthew 28:16-20 NASB
16 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated.
17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations (gentiles), baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 22:37-39 NKJV
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Psalm 92:12-15 NKJV
12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,
15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 6:1-2 NKJV
1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

In this episode we see how God gave man free will, what happens when man chooses to give himself over to sin, and how Jesus expects us to behave towards our enemies.
Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
Hate is a tool of the devil and it allows him access to us, to use us to steal, kill, and destroy.
1 John 2:9-11 MEV
9 Whoever says he is in the light but hates his brother is in darkness even until now.
10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.
11 But whoever hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

In this episode we see how God takes us from being His enemies through redemption in Jesus Christ and seats us in a position of Victory with Jesus.
_His victory over the enemy!_
Colossians 2:15 YLT
15 (Jesus) having stripped the principalities and the authorities, he made a shew of them openly -- having triumphed over them in it.
_Proof that we share in Jesus’ Victory_
Romans 8:17 MEV
and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified with Him.
_Proof that we are heirs_
Romans 5:8-10 MEV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 How much more then, being now justified by His blood, shall we be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, how much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.
Ephesians 2:4-7 MEV
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and He raised us up and seated us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Join us in this 4th episode as we delve into feelings.
Our emotions, left unchecked, often lead to disobedience.
Fear doesn’t come alone, it comes with confusion and doubt.
Fear takes place in the mind and is amplified by emotions and the physical senses. Faith is in the heart and is amplified by the Word of God.
In this world we must walk by faith, not by feelings. Feelings will conflict with faith a lot of the time.
Abraham feared that he would not have a son, a direct heir and Sara feared she couldn't bare Abraham a child. Enter Hagar and we now find that fear over faith will not get you the desired outcome. Fear and disobedience is a roadblock to communication with God. It was 13 years from the disobedience of Abram and Sarai until God spoke again to Abram.
Even though Jesus warned Peter to remain awake and pray, thereby preparing himself for what was to come, Peter slept and was caught with weak faith.
Peter confused because Jesus reprimanded him and told him not to defend Him and Peter, weak in faith, stumbles in fear. Jesus warned Peter of the devil’s intent and that He had prayed for Peter and even though Jesus prayed for Peter, Peter slept when he should have been praying and his faith was too little to prevent fear from overtaking him.
The joy and the increase in faith at seeing the Lord again must have been immense and not only does Jesus restore Peter but He also places on him the call to pastor His people.

In this episode we see how God lifts us up out of our less than stellar moments in life.
God does not leave us in the condition that He finds us in.
He lifts us up and strengthens us.
He receives us as His own children.
He teaches us who we are in Christ, that is, in Victory.
Psalm 113:7 MEV
He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
Psalm 18:48 MEV
He delivers me from my enemies. You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.
Psalm 40:2 MEV
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and established my steps.
Psalm 145:14 NASB
The LORD sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down.
Join us in this 3rd episode as we delve into fear, reverence, and great faith.
There is a direct correlation between faith, fear, and perversity.
When there is a lack of faith, there is no authority and no power to command the enemy.
The world hates God and has the ability to kill the body, but does not have the ability to cast into hell.
Fear will convince you that you cannot overcome some “thing” in your life:
- sickness, disease
- death of a loved one
- appearance
- worth
- and so on
Great faith in God can overcome every obstacle, every fear in your life.
Jesus gave us authority through His name to do as He did.
Fear of the Lord is that unmistakable awe and reverence that we have for Him.
There is not a person in this world that is so unworthy that they cannot receive salvation. When we look at ourselves and see our utter lack, wherever that lack lies in our eyes, we need to know and understand that God, the Father, doesn’t see it as an issue. The only issue God sees is our fallen nature. He gave us Jesus, His one and only Son, as the remedy. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ we have, as a gift, redemption and salvation. When we receive our salvation, it removes the impediment of our fallen nature from between us and God. We now receive full adoption as sons and daughters and we receive God as not only God, but as Father. When we look in the mirror, we need to see the refinements our Father is performing in our lives through Jesus Christ. Stop looking at the things in you and about you that you believe make you someone who is not wanted, someone who has little or no value, someone who is not worth loving. If you are to receive only one precious gift, receive this: The Godhead has placed great value upon you. God gave Jesus, His Son, to gain victory for you in every way through redemption. Jesus, when He went to be seated at the right hand of the Father, sent you the Holy Spirit to be your constant companion, your teacher, and counselor. They purchased it for you so that all that you would have to do is to receive it through salvation. So, you see, you are of great value and don’t let the world tell you differently.

Today's verses are Hebrews 10:23-24 RSV
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful;
24 and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
Join us in this 2nd episode as we delve into the relationship between faith, fear, and perversity.
God is Love
1 John 4:18 KJVS There is no fear (G5401 phobos - dread, terror) in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (G5401 phobos - dread, terror): because fear (G5401 phobos - dread, terror) hath torment. He that feareth (G5399 phobeo - to be alarmed, reverence) is not made perfect in love.
Deuteronomy 32:20 NKJV And He (God) said: ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be, For they are a ::perverse:: generation, Children in whom is ::no faith::.
There is a direct correlation between faith, fear, and perversity.

Today we visit Christ as our High Priest!
Hebrews 9:11-12 NKJV
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Join us for this biblical look at fear and hate. In this series we will go in depth with vocabulary and context to better understand the living Word of God. With 8 variations of the word “fear” in the Greek and 4 variations of the word “hate” in the Greek, it’s easy to see why reading the Bible can be a bit challenging and it also shows that no matter which version you are using, you have to cross check and verify which leads to better understanding and clarity.
Luke 14:26-27,33 MEV
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
27 And whoever does not bear his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.
33 So likewise, any of you who does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
1 John 3:15-18 MEV
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.
16 By this we know the love of God: that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
17 Whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, but closes his heart of compassion from him, how can the love of God remain in him?
18 My little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.
Matthew 5:43-48 MEV
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47 And if you greet your brothers only, what are you doing more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
48 Therefore be perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
The simplicity that is in Christ...
2 Corinthians 11:3 KJVS But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Christ and what He does for us is not some complex thing that we can’t understand.
1 Timothy 2:4 say God wants all men to be saved so why would He make it difficult for us to comprehend?
The answer is, He wouldn’t.
In 1 Corinthians 3:19 you see that the wisdom of man is foolishness to God. We will never grow and understand Christ with our mind, only with our spirit is it possible.
Romans 10:9 NASBS that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
So if God’s not making Christ hard to understand, then who is?
Satan.
2 Corinthians 4:4 NASBS in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
And go back to our first verse 2 Corinthians 11:3
Two Judgements, Two Seats
As we study through scripture, we see that there is indeed two different judgements. One judgement is for all of those whose names are NOT found in “the book of life”, the unsaved, and take place at the “great white throne” of God. The other is for all those who ARE found in the “book of life...”, the saved, and takes place “...before the judgement seat of Christ...”
Join me as we take a brief trip through scripture and learn about the doctrine of eternal judgment.
Revelation 20:12 NLT I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.
2 Corinthians 5:10 NIV For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Notice the description in Revelations 20:11 of God’s throne; “And I saw a great white throne...” White is used here, but I believe a better description from the Greek would be “brilliant” as in brilliant light. So we can visualize that, as God is light, His throne would be masked with His brilliant light, His glory, also. That’s a much better depiction than simply “white.”
Galatians 6:7-10 MEV
7 Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.
8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
9 And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not give up.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Verse 7 Because we have free will, God can’t be mocked because He is not the one who sows the seed. We sow the seed and reap a harvest in line with the seed sown.
Verse 8 If you’re walking with the world, then you are sowing according to the world and the world has been corrupted since the fall of Adam. If you’re walking with the Lord then you will sow according to the Lord, the incorruptible seed.
Verse 9 stand on the Word of God and sow the good things of the Lord, stay in the Word daily to strengthen yourself and rebuke doubt and unbelief and in the proper season you will reap your harvest.
Verse 10 God is no respecter of persons and He is our source. He will present us with every opportunity to sow His goodness to everyone without prejudice but especially to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are a lousy witness if we can’t do good to the Body of Christ, if we can’t honor and respect the things of the Father.
Join us in episode 6 and learn more about the resurrection of the dead, one of the elementary principles of the doctrine of Christ.
All of the resurrected will die again except Jesus who is the first born of the resurrected. Revelation 1:5
Old Testament Resurrection
1. Elijah raises the widow’s son in 1 Kings 17:17-24
2. The Shunammite’s son 2 Kings 4:18-37
3. The Israelite Man 2 Kings 13:20-21
Resurrections in the ministry of Jesus
1. Widow of Nain’s son in Luke 7:11-15
2. Jairus’ daughter in Luke 8:51-55
3. Lazarus in John 11:1, 17-44
The Resurrection of Jesus
1. Jesus in Matthew 28:1-15
Resurrections after Jesus
1. Tabitha in Acts 9:36-41
2. Paul in Acts 14:19-20
3. Eutychus in Acts 20:7-12
Galatians 3:13-14 NASB
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE ”— 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Join us as we explore the laying on of hands, part of the elementary principles of Christ.
Hebrews 5:12-14 MEV For though by now you should be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God and have come to need milk rather than solid food. [13] Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. [14] But solid food belongs to those who are mature, for those who through practice have powers of discernment that are trained to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 6:1-2 KJV Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Just like any other gift from God, a person must believe in God’s power to perform a thing and have faith that He will perform it. It’s not the person who performs any act of God’s power, it is the Holy Spirit that performs it through that person. So the person is not the focus here, the Holy Spirit and God’s will is the focus.
If person A is not willing to submit to God and be led of the Holy Spirit, then God can’t use him until he is willing and obedient. This doesn’t stop God from accomplishing His will, in most situations He will call on the next person and the next person and the next person and so on until He finds that person who is willing and obedient. The receiver must also know God’s will and have faith that He will perform it for them. In some instances, a new born can rely on the faith of the administer, but for the most part, we are expected to develop and stand on our own faith.
Matthew 6:33 NASBS 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:19-21 NASBS 19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Our Text for this series:
Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 6:1-2 NKJV
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
In this episode we discuss "the doctrine of baptisms," which include:
Blood baptism (baptized into the body of Christ)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Water baptism
We will be adding "Ministry Shorts" as bonus content to be released on Wednesdays and regular podcasts will be released on Sundays. Again, thank you for joining us and please be sure to visit us at truepatriotministries.org and on our Facebook page.
This is the 3rd in a series in which we are covering the “elementary principles of Christ,” also referred to as “milk.” In order to go on to the “solid food” we need to get these foundations set first. In the last episode, we covered “repentance from dead works” which is in its simplest form, making a mental decision to turn away from where you are and turn to God. In this episode we will cover “faith toward God.”
Rick Renner, who is very knowledgeable with biblical Greek, translates “faith toward God” as this: “it is the picture of complete trust; it depicts no self-reliance; a faith that rests ONLY on God.”
This is a great depiction of the phrase because in the natural, that is, in and of ourselves, we can do nothing to wipe out the sin and death that has been left to us as a legacy by Adam.
Romans 5:12 MEV Therefore as sin came into the world through one man (Adam) and death through sin, so death has spread to all men, because all have sinned.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Let’s look at a few of these words in our concordance in order to get a better understanding of what is being said here.
“Substance” can also be assurance or confidence. “Things hoped for…” can be expect, hope, or trust. Then we see that complete trust in God is the confident assurance of things expected. So the next question here is what is “the evidence of things not seen?” It is the Word of God, it is every promise that He has given to us through His Word and it is the Word, Himself, that ratified God’s new covenant with man through Jesus’ Blood.
Today we are going to talk about “repentance from dead works.” Jesus didn't call us to acceptance and to love everyone unconditionally. He didn't call us to tolerate, or to put up with, or to join in with worldly ways. Jesus called us to repent, which in the Greek means to change our mind, to make a decision to change, to turnaround from the direction we are headed . It is a mental decision, it is not to be confused with the emotional feelings of regret. As Christians, when we come to Christ we need to understand that it's not about acceptance and tolerance and unconditional love, just put that aside along with any other preconceived ideas of what “coming to Christ” looks like. Let’s keep it about getting planted and rooted in Christ and growing up in him and becoming full sons and daughters, let’s set that as your vision. The goal of this series will be understanding what the “elementary principles of Christ” are so that you can build a strong foundation.
This series of episodes will cover the basic foundations of the doctrine of Christ which are found in Hebrews 6:1-2 NKJV Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, [2] of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Paul spent two years teaching these foundations in Ephesus so don’t get disappointed if two months from now you are still learning these principles. There is obviously a lot of depth to them and, since they are foundational, you want to learn them correctly so that your foundation in Christ is solid and can be built upon successfully. This episode is an overview and we will discuss in more detail each of these teachings in future episodes.
Proverbs 4:23 says "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." What are the issues of life? And how do we guard our hearts so that we don't have these issues? These are great questions and, as Christians, we need to understand how important it is to understand this and to understand how to guard against them. We cover a couple of great examples that I think help with clarification. And I cover a search of the Bible that provided some surprising results. If you are enjoying these podcasts, please help us by sharing with a friend.
Equipping Christians for Success in every age is a vital role of the church, especially its ministers, pastors, elders, and deacons. Christians need to have a strong understanding of the Word of God and how to put it to work in their personal lives. The value of our testimony is partially based on how well equipped we are and how intentional we are about our spiritual growth. We are responsible for our growth and our spiritual walk and as we grow and mature in the Lord, our fellowship with God will be greatly improved as will our ability to walk in Love with others.

In this episode, I define patriotism, anarchy, and treason according to the Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. I also delve into the Word of God to show examples of each in the Old and New Testaments. I then discuss briefly what it means to be "combat ready" spiritually and why that it so vital that we are spiritually prepared for battle. History repeats itself so long as history is forgotten or wisdom is not gleaned from it and we, as believers, are not powerless against the enemy. It's fitting that the Lord put this on my heart at such a time as this, today marks the 19th anniversary of 9/11/2001 and I wonder, with the current actions of some in our nation, if we have already forgotten this day in history. May the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, Flight 93, and all those who lost their lives and the hero's that stepped up be in our hearts this day. Be Blessed.
Anxiety, n.
A lot of people have suffered and do suffer from anxiety and medically there has been limited success in “curing” it.
If the medical approach has had little success for you, then walk with me as we look at it through the Word of God. Don’t be surprised that anxiety is in the Bible, it’s not a new thing, it’s quite old. In this episode, we cover briefly what it is, why it exists, and how to use the Word of God to defeat it. There are 2 additional podcasts that I recommend listening to with this one, they are "From Suicide To Salvation" and "Fill In The Cracks."
We often think of walking in God's love as something personal, that it only affects us. Join me in this episode as I discuss the different ways that our love walk affects not only ourselves, but the unsaved also. We have a responsibility to grow as son's and daughter's and our love walk is a large part of our witness to others. There are two areas where walking in love is so vital in this world. The first is in the body of Christ (the Church) and the second is everywhere else (the world). Division and splits in the church are simply not acceptable and every born-from-above-believer has an important part to play in the prevention of them. Our witness to the world is not just what we tell people, it's what they see when we think no one is looking and when the whole world is looking. Are we fully convicted or merely impassioned? Is God in our heart or merely on our mind?

Today we are talking about how God prepares us to combat the enemy. It's important to understand the importance of Faith, Hope, and Belief and how they relate to the Word of God and us as believers. We also need to understand that the devil comes against us all to steal, kill, and destroy and God, through Jesus, gave us everything that we need to stand against the enemy. Some of the scriptures that we look at today are John 10:10; Hebrews 11:1, Romans 10:10, 17; Ephesians 6:14-17; Matthew 26:28; 1 Peter 1:18-19; and Revelation 12:11.

Frozen by fear of failing? You're at that tipping point, come find out what's next.
Praise and Worship is so powerful! It is also an essential part of our intimate relationship with God and it brings peace and joy to us personally. How it impacts us in our marriage, kids, etc. is important to understand along with how it can help to defeat addictions, sickness & disease, and for Veterans, a sense of loss of value and meaningfulness. There's a camaraderie experienced in the military that is found in few places. The Church of Christ is a place where it can be found and where healing takes place. As a Veteran, I have a special place in my heart for fellow Veterans and I want them to know there is a place for you in this world and in the next. God love's you and I love you.

Today I'm taking about 15 minutes for this trailer and speaking to you about the gift that God gave us through Jesus. It's important for people to know who they are in Jesus, to have a rock solid identity that will help them walk through this life. God has redeemed us from the sin and death, from sickness and disease, and from poverty. Are we receiving what He has done for us?
