We continue our "Truth - Seeing Black and White in a Grey World" with this message by Mike Shreve
When we pursue God for his power in our lives, the results can be unexpected but always wonderful.
The Christian life is nothing without power. We need the Holy Spirit to be all that we were meant to be.
Sometimes, we just have to pray God's promises. Our faith in His faithfulness has power.
When we walk with God, we can take advantage of any moment to teach and lead our family to his glory.
As Christians, followers of Christ, believers in Jesus we are all models. In the natural world most of us fall miserably short of being a fashion model. It's a certain look and a determined commitment to maintain the proper standards to stay in the business. Christ has qualified us to be models and examples of His grace and love through his work of LOVE on the cross and through His working of POWER by the Holy Spirit. The power that now dwells within us to transform us and others into the image of Christ and for the glory of Christ. He himself is LIFE. He has given us LIFE to live out the passion, the patterns, the fashion of Kingdom living in this lifeless, broken world which has patterned itself after the whims and wants of this world which has brought shame condemnation and death! He himself is LOVE. We are honored to model the fashion and patterns of our designer who is our creator, redeemer God who is LOVE. He has loved us with a never ending, unstoppable love and now we get to style and profile. We get to show it off. He Himself is LIGHT. We are privileged to live out our life of light in front of our family, friends, and those who are wandering in darkness. Jesus said the fashion, the pattern and design of your life as you live for Jesus on the runway of human experience is to show others the light of the gospel in the face of Jesus Christ. JESUS LIFE, JESUS LOVE and JESUS LIGHT is our new "get-up", our new wardrobe, our fashion, our design as we live our lives for Jesus...MODELING!
