Your faith has the power to shape the way see your present circumstances and even how you look ahead to the future. No doubt, we all face challenges in this life. But if your trust is in Jesus, then your faith empowers you to face anything with hopeful and confidence.
Discipleship means learning to follow Jesus. It means letting Jesus influence how you think and how you live. It's a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus so that you can be more like Jesus in the day to day. Every now and then following Jesus results in a life-altering, paradigm shifting moment that changes everything. In this week's message, Pastor Jared unpacks a moment when the 12 experienced something just like that. And it changed everything for them. It can for you too.
It can be easy to get overwhelmed by everything happening in the world today. Sometimes we can get down feeling like we live in a "bad news" world. But the status quo won't be the status quo forever. God's kingdom will come because God's will shall be donw. In this week's message Pastor Jared unpacks two parables Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God.

When the church experiences hardship or persecution, it never results in a net loss for the church because the church thrives through challenges. The church cannot be stopped because Jesus builds the church.
The path of least resistance is not the path of Christ. If we want to take a hold of Christ, we must first let Christ take a hold of us. If we want to see God accomplish great things through us, we must first see God accomplish great things in us. If we want to see Christ change the world, we must first let Christ change our church.
When we truly come to grips with what it means to follow Christ, when we realize we are in the world but not of the world, when we truly understand that we don’t have anybody but each other, we can finally begin to understand what Christ wants for us.
If we are going to live on mission, then we have to be committed to thinking like missionaries. That means we have to evaluate what we’re doing, how we’re doing it, why we’re doing it, and what we consider successful.
Most of us find ourselves exhausted by all the demands of life because we’re doing too many things that don’t really matter and failing to focus on what matters most. If we’re going to reclaim the call of Christ, then we have to prioritize the priority of Christ.
Jesus never calls people to be glorified cheerleaders. He always calls people to become kingdom contributors.
Within the final words of the letter of 1 Peter, Peter concludes with an Encouragement, a Warning, and a reminder of the Hope we have.
The church has an opportunity to show the world a better way to live. One of the best ways we can do that is by how church leaders relate to church members and how church members relate to church leaders.
Following Christ will create friction in your life. There will be moments of spiritual crisis where the values of this world and the values of Christ collide. How you respond in those moments matters because how you respond in those moments reveals something about the authenticity of your faith.
In this message pastor Jared challenges us to live for Jesus because Jesus is the only one worth living for.
7.19.20 - What does it mean to be the “head” of the house? Or what does it mean to be the “man” of the house? How does a husband “lead” his wife? What does that look like?
7.12.20 - What does the Bible say about how a wife relates to her husband? What does it mean when it says that word no one likes - submit?
6.21.20 - We model good conduct, and we eagerly serve our community because that’s what God wants us to do, and that’s how we represent the heart of God to people far from God.
6.7.20 - To influence others for Jesus, we must let Jesus influence what we think and how we live.
5.31.20 - The difference between living blessed and not comes down to this: whose values do you embrace? God’s values? Or the world’s values?
5.24.20 - Lots of distractions creep into the Christian life that steers us off course or slow us down. This text makes the case that we need to eliminate distractions so that we can keep the main thing, the main thing.
5.10.20 - Are there characteristics that define enduring faith? What qualities describe faith that endures? What separates faith that finishes the race from faith that falters?
5.3.20 - We all go through tests in life. Tests are hard, but tests are important because tests prove what is other wise unproven.
4.26.20 - We all need hope. We all have hope. People hope in various things. Normally we don’t realize what we hope in until we lose it. But there is a hope that will never fail.
4.19.20 - How do we live well when life is disrupted? Where do we find hope when everything seems so hopeless? Is it possible to lead a fruitful life when so much of life has been put on hold?
3.15.20 - We can’t imagine not recognizing a famous celebrity. It’s hard to miss being in the presence of someone who is larger than life. But what if Jesus showed up? What if you stumbled into the presence of God? Would you notice? Or would you miss it?
Why are you asking for what you're asking for? Seeing God answer your prayers for provision has less to do with what you ask for and more to do with why you're asking for what you're asking for.
