We're all hanging on by a thread, so come hang out with us for a while, just to chat. And let us know what hobby is helping keep you going...
Today we are joined by neuroscientist, psychologist, and professor, Dr. Abigail Marsh. Dr. Marsh, a Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at Georgetown University, is here to help us to better understand psychopathy and the variation of human behavior. Her research, as well as research by others, have shown the importance of early screening in order to recognize the neurotype and the formulation of interventions to help reduce the development of the less desirable or more violent behaviors.
We're finally back! Taking a break from our series about more serious topics to invite you all to our Halloween party! We're hanging out with Priya & reading cards to see what to expect for the upcoming year.

Raising a child with psychopathy is to wonder if ever siren you hear is because of, or for, your kid. Parenting children with psychopathy changes you and the way you perceive and navigate the world. It forces you to find coping skills that most people never need; but it's the only way to survive. So, if you are one of these families, please know that you are not alone.
In Episode 3 of this series, we discuss the mistaken belief that psychopathy is caused by trauma. Naturally, trauma doesn't help anyone, but it doesn't cause the neurodevelopmental disorder.Lillyth Quillan, the first parent to publicly use her name and face to say she is the parent of a child with Conduct Disorder/Psychopathy and the founder of as online support groups for such parents, joins us for a series about Psychopathy, entitled Decoding Psychopathy & Conduct Disorder: An Exploration of the Most Important Neurodevelopmental Disorder You've Never Heard Of.
In Episode 2 of this series, we discuss the need for an entirely new diagnostic paradigm. Part 2 of Joell's story, parenting a violent child. Unfortunately, there is a glaring lack of resources to provide treatment for these kids and suppor to their families.
Listener, Joell, saw Summer's videos about her experience parenting a child with psychopathy, and contacted us to tell her story, as well discuss the appalling lack of resources for these kids & their families.
As mentioned on our TikTok account, Summer recently received a letter from her daughter, who had to be removed from the home for the safety of the family, earlier this year. She chooses to be vulnerable and discuss this and welcomes perspectives from those with similar experiences.
Age, trauma, mental illness, neurological profile, etc. do not exempt us from accountability when we cause harm. Additionally, we deserve to heal and putting in the work to heal our own trauma history is so worth it.
We Missed Y'all! Sorry that we missed our last upload date, but we're back with a vulnerable look at the struggles that caused us to take a momentary step back & what we are doing for self care.

Continuing our experiment with recording without masking our ADHD, we meander through topics of historical oppression-curtesy of colonization-, psychopathy, and grooming. Share your similar experiences in the comments...if you can keep up with wth we're topic we're even on at any given moment. :D

Join us for a discussion of the roots of compulsory monogamy & how deconstruction led us to non monogamy. Very often, the conditioning that we've all received causes us to attempt to force ourselves into artificial social structures that may not fit us as people or our lives, causing harm to our mental health & our relationships. We encourage everyone to find relationships that enrich your life, rather than straining it; and to have many, healthy relationships beyond romance. Humans are social creature, we need community.
Listener submitted question: "Spring is Red Flag Season. What's up with exes trying to come back?" Do you have any stories of exes circling back around? Drop them in the comments.
This video wasn't originally recorded to be aired. It was simply us catching up and discussing daily struggles and ADHD. We decided to share it after receiving multiple comments from people expressing that they "wish they had it all together like we do". We assure you, you are not alone. Nobody has it all together. No one is ok all of the time. And there is no shame in that.

Last episode, Summer promised to answer the audience question "what was it like to date a disciple of Kevin Samuels?"; so today she's going to do just that. The take away from her experience: you can't opt into patriarchy (or relationships with patriarchal men) & still hope to somehow be exempt from the harmful, negative effects, so don't ignore red flags. Choose healthy dynamics instead of spinning your wheels in the sand, because you'll only hurt yourself.
Today, we answer questions from the audience. What else would you like to know? Leave a comment.
Let's talk about love & marriage...which are two entirely separate concepts that should not be confused or used interchangeably. Come discuss the conflation of these ideas and our belief that we should prioritize healthy relationships above legal contracts.

The title seems self explanatory…Priya & Summer rant about patriarchy and give a good demonstration of how it affects our lives on so many levels, from grave injustices to every day, seemingly mundane things. Just us for an update on Felina & Summers' lives and a discussion on how important it is to not give up during the struggles, and to celebrate your successes.
Summer recently made her third appearance on Lisa Landry's "Womenace to Society", and she graciously gave us permission to share with you all. Listen as they chat about police brutality, qualified immunity, and Summer's penchant for offending people.
Felina shares some of her journey of grieving the loss of her mom, including a recently discovered letter that her mom, Melody Lea Quinnett, left for her.
Felina,
I don’t want you to look back at your childhood with regrets that you didn’t live with the perfect family.
I want you to draw from the experience and build a successful life for yourself.
I live in fear that you will grow up to resent me for not being with you every step of growing up. I hope that you know that I have been growing up with you!
I’ve learned from the pain of our separation to become a more compassionate person. We can use our life experiences to either pull us down or lift us to higher levels of understanding.
The greatest joy you will experience in life will be when you have somehow touched another life with the beauty found deep within your soul. You’re born with a soul but it develops from your life experiences and how you choose to use them.
When things are getting you down look into the depths of your heart and see the special person you have become and are becoming. I know you’ll be proud because I have seen your inner beauty and strength!
Don’t worry that life is not perfect. Use its disappointments to strengthen others.
As much as I would like you to be mine, you’re not. You belong to yourself and the world surrounding you. You have an energy that is transferred to others (including me!) that makes them feel good! If you use this energy and your talent for the good of others you will be more successful than the richest person in the world.
I love you,
Mom

A message from Felina: This is my brave face. No makeup, no filters, no bullshit. Because today I’m in an immense amount of pain due to a fibromyalgia flare up. If you look behind that smile, you’ll see dark, heavyset bags under my eyes, swollen cheeks, and a hint of pain in that smile. My evening consists of detox tea, massage machines, hot epsom salt baths, alternating hot packs and ice packs... in hopes of gaining some relief from painful, swollen joints, burning hot inflammation in my kidney’s, up my spine, the huge knots literally all over my body that are presently causing my left arm to go numb, and the tension headache caused by the muscles in my neck that have become rock hard. Tomorrow, I will go to work, and put on my brave face again. I’ll add some makeup to hide the dark circles, and suck it up as I persevere. Because I have to. Anyone who suffers from #fibro and is working their ass off to continue to thriving has to. I know a lot of other #singlemoms who deal with this auto-immune issue are suffering too. In fact, millions of women deal with #chronicpain every single day and put on their brave face. They wear their brave face to show their boss how strong they are, to provide for their families, to create more opportunities, to spend time with friends and family, to have a life. Along the way, some succumb to addiction to pain pills. Such was the fate of my deceased mother. I am choosing a different path. It’s still painful, but we are all doing what we think is best, hiding our pain behind our smiles, our under-eye creams, and lipstick. We are all putting on a brave face. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing my personal story with chronic pain and fibromyalgia. As well as recapping my mother’s battle with chronic pain due to #rheumatoidarthritis #lupus and #fibromyalgia issues and her addiction that ultimately took her life. I am asking for your input. If you have dealt with any of these issues, send us your #braveface and we’ll contact you. We’d love to include your story on this topic in this series.
