Hey there, amazing human!
In this episode, I'm share my thoughts and practical tips about something we don't talk about enough: celebrating ourselves. And I mean REALLY celebrating - not the surface-level stuff, but the deep, radical act of seeing and honoring your own journey.
As a neurodivergent leader, I know how easy it is to get caught in the trap of negative self-talk. That inner critic who whispers you're not enough, who makes you second-guess every decision, who makes holiday gatherings and work meetings feel like emotional marathons.
Today, I'm sharing my personal toolkit for:
- Recognizing that most people's reactions are about THEM, not you
- Understanding rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD) and how it shows up
- Making intentional choices about your energy and obligations
- Celebrating wins - and I mean ALL wins, no matter how small
Bonus? I'm pulling back the curtain on my 6-week program designed specifically for neurodivergent women leaders who are ready to transform their inner narrative and show up powerfully in their careers and lives.
Pro tip: Your thoughts are a choice. You get to decide which ones to keep and which ones to kick to the curb.

In today's episode, I'm happy to have another guest.
What do you get when you blend 24 years of international adventures, three growing daughters, and a natural gift for connecting with others? Meet our fascinating guest, who's transformed her journey through Dubai, Amsterdam, London, and California into a unique approach to coaching that touches hearts across continents.
Her path to coaching is as colorful as her passport stamps. Starting as a parenting trainer, she noticed something fascinating during her group sessions - beneath the typical parenting questions lay deeper patterns and challenges. This spark of insight led her to pivot into one-on-one coaching, where she could help people unpack not just their suitcases, but their full potential.
With three daughters (19, 16, and 12) and a lifetime of cross-cultural experiences, she brings authentic wisdom to every coaching session. Her specialty? Supporting fellow expats, particularly women who've embarked on the bold adventure of international life. Because who better to guide you through the maze of cultural adjustments than someone who's navigated it all while keeping a family thriving?
Some might raise an eyebrow at coaches who specialize in their own life challenges, but my guest sees it differently. Her eyes light up as she explains how living through these experiences allows her to truly understand her clients' journeys. It's not just empathy - it's the kind of deep recognition that makes clients feel instantly understood.
Today, she's passionate about helping women rediscover their confidence, especially those feeling somewhat lost between time zones and life transitions. Through her work, she's proving that every challenge overcome becomes a lantern to light someone else's path. Now that's what we call turning global experience into golden wisdom! ✨

Charlotte shares how she stumbled upon coaching while feeling unfulfilled in her project management job and the transformative impact it had on her personal and professional life. She opens up about her unique journey from being unsure about coaching as a career to fully embracing it, especially after moving from Switzerland to the U.S., where the coaching culture is much more established.
Charlotte also discusses her approach to coaching, focusing on helping her clients navigate their personal and professional lives. She emphasizes the importance of finding one's identity, balancing personal and professional fulfillment, and the power of self-reflection in achieving transformative change.
Throughout the conversation, Charlotte offers insights into the tools she uses with her clients, like the "Wheel of Life" exercise, and shares advice on how to prioritize personal projects and goals during life transitions.

In this episode, I’m announcing the launch of a three-week email series designed to help you gain clarity on your next career move.
Launching next week, this series is perfect for the slower pace of summer, allowing you to reflect and plan while still enjoying your time off.
The series requires only 5 to 15 minutes of your time on weekdays, leaving weekends free to relax or catch up.
NOW is the time for those of you feeling unfulfilled in your current roles, struggling with motivation, or dreaming of something different but feeling stuck.
Now, let’s move on to this week’s tip for building your curiosity muscle and welcoming discomfort for growth.
A favorite tool of mine for tracking progress is a jar where you can add a bead or a piece of paper whenever you accomplish something challenging. This week, I’m focusing on networking, a common pain point for my clients.
If you hate networking, feel unsure of what to say, or think it’s a waste of time, you’re not alone. Here are three steps to make networking events more enjoyable:
The purpose of these steps isn’t just to make you uncomfortable but to help you learn and gain a new perspective on your capabilities. View it like a game, where completing the challenge unlocks the next level of self-discovery.
As always, thank you for joining me today. If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe and leave a review to help grow the show and reach more people.
Remember, striving for a career that brings joy and fulfillment is possible.

In this week's episode, following mother's day in the US, I bring you some tips and insights, drawing from a timeless quote, "a l’impossible nul n’est tenu" ("no one is/should be expected to do the impossible"), sharing why I believe imperfection is so important.
Whether grappling with neurodivergence or striving for achievement, my message for you today is: you owe yourself compassion, not the burden of the impossible.
Then, I invite you to braindump all the things you wish you could delegate and pick 1 where you could ask for some help right now. Brainstorm some ideas to put it into action and let me know what a difference it makes.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about my first favorite mom tip.
When I was about 10 years old, my mom bought me a printed poem in the south of France.
The poem was called “the gift of a smile”.
As it was hanging in my bathroom, I remember seeing it several times a day, getting ready for school in the morning, brushing my teeth at night. And I can still remember most of it to this day because of that repetition.
The first 2 lines read as follows:
“Il ne coûte rien et produit beaucoup.”
“It doesn't cost a thing and produces a lot.”
Then it goes on to show all the benefits for the one smiling and for the one(s) receiving it demonstrating it’s clearly a win-win! (Link to the full poem (in French) if you're curious)
So today I'm grateful, even though I didn't always say or felt so, to my mom to have anchored this message in my head.
Why Smiling Matters and How to Smile More
It goes deeper than a smile. I think it matters how you show up in the world. Even with our personal likes and dislikes when it comes to style , we can all agree that our choices are a chance to be on our side.
I try and remember the power of a smile and challenge myself to smile more, especially when I feel too stressed, driving the kids to and from school, running not to be late to a meeting, or just because some days I don’t want to do what I have planned so carefully.
You can think of a Mona Lisa smile, or the Budha's if it helps.
(I like those because they feel calm and full of serenity)
Just like coaching, smiling intentionally, even when you don’t feel like it, will help you shift your perspective and reconsider what’s happening, what’s in your control and what you would like the outcome to be.
By the way, Sunday's international laughter day and that should be celebrated too!

In this episode of the podcast, I focus on the often loaded topic of debt and borrowing money.
Here are some interesting questions to ask yourself when it comes to debt and the money you owe:
When you think of your own experiences with debt, considering who you borrowed from, the amount borrowed, and the process of repayment, what comes to mind?
What about lending money?
Consider your expectations and boundaries when loaning money to others.
How comfortable are you when having conversations around money, such as splitting bills at restaurants? It can reveal underlying beliefs and attitudes towards your financial confidence and freedom.
It matters that you are intentional and aware of your borrowing habits and financial goals. It is also important to evaluate the cost and return of borrowing money.
In conclusion, I invite you to assess your current debt situation, comfort level with it, and plans for managing or reducing it.
The more intentional and conscious about financial decisions, the faster you can achieve financial freedom.
Next month, I'll share some life and career's advice from all the mothers in my life, not just mine, but maybe yours too?

In this episode, I dive into the intricacies of the spending money mindset, emphasizing the importance of aligning our thoughts with our actions in both professional and personal realms. As high achieving women in leadership positions, understanding the connection between our beliefs and spending habits is pivotal in achieving financial empowerment.
I invite you to examine:
and reflect on why you think it is you feel this way. Because each carry profound lessons. By delving into the emotional responses evoked by these purchases and tracing our evolution in the months following, we unravel the significance of financial decisions beyond mere transactions.
How did these help you grow?
In the coming weeks and month, I'd like to encourage you to ponder your spending choices.
Prioritize alignment with you values (listen to episode 15 to learn more about that).
Whether it's investing in professional development, supporting causes you believe in, or indulging in self-care, each expenditure becomes an opportunity to reinforce your identity and aspirations.
You can use this episode as a guide to cultivate a harmonious relationship with money, ensuring that every expenditure reflects your values, aspirations, and journey towards personal and professional fulfillment.

Welcome to another episode of "Without Judgment"!
In honor of Financial Literacy Month, here is another episode on our money mindset.
Have you ever stopped to consider what beliefs shape your relationship with money—both in acquiring it and having it? Today, we're lifting the veil on those (possibly limiting) beliefs and exploring how they impact your financial well-being.
When it comes to making money, our thoughts can range from contentment to perpetual dissatisfaction, regardless of our income level. But here's the kicker: it's not about the numbers; it's about our perception. Do you believe you're fully accountable for your earnings? How has your income evolved over the years, and what sacrifices have you made to achieve it?
Next up, let's talk about having money. Do you associate wealth with negativity? Your upbringing and personal experiences heavily influence your answer. Whether you're content with a modest lifestyle or yearn for more, your mindset dictates your financial trajectory. Are you open to abundance, or are you gripped by scarcity?
To help navigate these reflections, I am inviting you to use this coaching tip: journal about the questions that resonate most with you. Start small, focusing on one to three inquiries to avoid overwhelm. And before we part ways, ponder this: how much money do you truly believe you're capable of making in a year? The answer might surprise you.
Thank you for tuning in to "Without Judgment." Your support means the world to us. Remember, your career should be more than just a paycheck—it should align with your dreams. Until next time, keep exploring, keep growing, and never stop believing in your potential.

In this episode, I discuss the concept of money mindset, exploring its definition, significance, and practical implications.
Money mindset encapsulates the set of beliefs you hold about money. It is shaped by your upbringing, experiences, and societal influences. I encouraged you to identify your personal money narratives, acknowledging both empowering and limiting beliefs without judgment.
Your money mindset is important because it directly impacts your financial success and overall well-being. Whether fostering feelings of scarcity or abundance, mindset influences your decision-making and behavior related to finances. This is especially true when I think of my clients who are high-achieving women in leadership roles. Trusting yourself when it comes to money helps boost your confidence, clarity, and wealth creation abilities.
I walk you through 2 exercises I bring my clients to identify where you are at and where you'd like to be on your financial freedom journey.
To bring you to a point where you can make strong decisions in an easy way, I want to invite you to ask yourself: "what do you believe is possible?"

In this episode, I'm sharing some tips and ideas around setting an evaluating your goals.
First, I want to invite you to reflect on your accomplishments over the past three months.
Think about:
Start by identifying ONE main priority or top goal.
Without taking inventory of time, effort, and energy levels, you won't be able to assess or tweak what's working and what's not.
Those coaching tips can help you achieve any goal by starting with your thoughts. How you plan and think about what you want, why you want it and all that is in your control when obstacles show up. Just like a professional athlete preparing for a race, see yourself at the finish line. Imagine what it'll look like.
and have fun with it!

Hello, hello!
In today's episode, I want to discuss how to use your values to create a career that aligns with who you are.
I want to show you that leveraging your core values can lead you to being happier at work.
We may not think about what our values are when thinking of our professional life but they can help us gain clarity and confidence.
Our values are the deeply held beliefs and principles that guide our actions. They reflect what's most important to us and shape our perceptions of success, fulfillment, and purpose. When our career aligns with our values, we experience a sense of meaning and satisfaction that transcends mere job satisfaction.
When you are not aware of your values, one of two things usually happens:
a- you’re perfectly aligned and embody your values because they are second nature to you.
b- you don’t realize there’s a disconnect bc you’re not used to listening to your red flag signals.
For example, let’s say you work in communication and value creativity, autonomy, and social impact. However, in your current role , you have little opportunity for creative expression, limited autonomy, and lack a clear sense of purpose.
As a result, you might feel disengaged and unfulfilled.
To help my clients gain clarity around what they want I like to do a values assessment.
(You can grab a list of values on the web or go to this episode and download mine here)
Once you’ve identified your core values, you'll have a clearer guide to what you seek in your professional endeavors, when looking at responsibilities and job descriptions for example.
With this, you can also start evaluating your current career situation and start identifying areas of misalignment. From then, you can explore a variety of career paths that better reflect your values and aspirations. Think of exploring new job opportunities, pursuing additional education or training, or even starting a business.
Remember that it all starts with the thoughts you're having. Whether you like them or not, pay attention to what's going on in your brain.
Do you keep repeating yourself you're stuck or unsatisfied? Evaluate why you're thinking that? And be curious to figure out other ways to think about how someone else might look at your situation.
Finally, I invite your to do a little evaluation of your day (or week) and see how your values are reflected (or not) in the actions you've taken.
If not, what others might you see you're following without paying attention.
And decide what values you want to be yours.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
Without judgment,
Virginie

In this episode, I’m going to bring you some ideas about how to nurture your professional relationships and I’m going to tell you why it can help you be more fulfilled at work.
This is especially relevant for those of you listening who are thinking about a career change.
1: Understanding the Importance of Professional Relationships
A lot of coaches and neuroscientists have researched this topic around people’s mood, success and even depression levels. The way we think about any situation will impact our results.
Why do you think networking is such an important step for people looking for a job? Because, interacting with others will leave an impression that is much more impactful than words on paper.
And then it continues when you are working. We work with people and for people, whether you think about your clients, your team, your colleagues or your manager.
The better you are at having good relationships, the better you’re going to feel.
If you imagine having a good relationship, it usually means that:
Positive relationships can lead to more job satisfaction, productivity, and career growth.
When you think of someone you’ve loved to work with, compared to someone you’ve hated working with, what’s the difference?
Mostly their attitude, and yours.
So I want to invite you to jot down your thoughts about what defines the way YOU want to show up, because you’ll never be in control of how the person in front of you will act. --> Focus on you.
2: Building Strong Professional Relationships
Now I’d like to share some practical tips for developing and nurturing professional relationships:
Networking strategies (on and offline)
Offer to help others in your network by sharing resources, providing advice, or making introductions
Effective communication skills
Practice clear and concise communication.
Be an active listener
Find common ground
Look for shared interests, experiences, or goals.
also reflect on how to overcome Challenges like:
Conflicts and disagreements
Miscommunication
Lack of trust
How do you want to show up in these situations?

Today I'm interviewing Ada from Marmalade+Kindness in London. She’s going to share her story with us and how she created Marmelade+Kindness, her online cooking journal she launched to inspire and encourage people to find moments of mindfulness and creativity through cooking.
On that journal, she’s sharing tried and tested recipes, featuring organic, seasonal produce and she aims to inspire you to develop a daily cooking habit.
Her recipes encourage you to develop your intuition as a cook – to use all your senses, and adapt recipes to your tastes and those you cook for.
I feel completely aligned with her philosophy of ‘mindful cooking’ that is quite unique and I love that all recipes incorporate wellness tips at the bottom under the ‘practice makes progress’ section.
today I wanted to share a super simple episode about my favorite summer produce and recipes, and some of my favorite farmers in the Bay Area...
Today in episode 19, Jonas Pariente is sharing his perspective on food and telling us about his project: "Grandmas Project", a collaborative web-series sharing the recipes and stories of grandmas around the world, filmed by their grandchildren.
It all started in 2013 when Jonas realized he could tell more than his family's story. Not only could he share his grandmothers' food, recipes and cultures, but also those of dozens others who shared his love of food and cultural heritage. Capturing the diversity of the cultures and the unity of families, around food, is universal. So the Grandmas project was born.
I hope you enjoy the episode and I'll leave you with Jonas's and his grandma's words of wisdom: "cooking takes time" and "the more I cook, the happier I get!"

I'll discuss what I've seen and learned, especially how processed foods can affect our daily behaviors at any age and the impact it has, at any age, not only on ourselves but on people around us. Because a lack of good nutrients and vitamins has such an impact on our daily behaviors, it is important for us individually but also as a group to realize how much can change when we nourish ourselves in a better way.
Finally I'll tell you what kind of diet seems to be most helpful for our brain to function well.

Today I would like to talk to you about 2 things:
And I say this without any judgement because I know first hand how difficult it is sometimes to make nutritious food.
Some days, we don’t have any time, or the fridge is empty, or we are just too tired! I know I am sometimes, and, more often than I used to since I had kids!
Jessica co-founded Teuko with another French mom, Alexandra Gabalda.
They met while volunteering at their kids' school and later found out that they were both trying, separately, to create a system to pack healthy lunches that their children would enjoy.

Hello, everyone, this is Virginie and this is episode zero of What Gets You Cooking.
I am launching this podcast today to create a community around the food we eat.
I would like to share with you what we do to make it easy and more simple when cooking.
This is really about interviewing the people who work around food from chef to Food Bank, to cooking school to farmers, to help us simplify the food and to share our perspectives.
My inspiration comes from my family. I grew up in the south of France and my mom and my grandmother cooked a lot, so it's a part of my identity and why it's important to me.
Since I moved to the US in 2010. I've heard so many people expressing not having time or energy to cook, people who don't feel good in their bodies, or people who have kids that are picky eaters.
that's why I'd like to share my own knowledge but also to take the time to get more knowledge from all the people that I can find to interview so we can learn from them too.
Later, I'll add everything on my website to what gets you cooking.com. I hope you like it. See you next week.
