It was Isaiah who was sent to Ahaz to tell him not to fear. However, Ahaz was told to ask for a sign from God as proof that He was going to do what He said; Ahaz, acting like he was trusting God, refused to ask for a sign, yet God gave a sign anyway despite his lack of trust in God; Ahaz was already planning to put his trust in the king of Assyria by seeking his help.

The disciples continue to show their lack of faith even though they participated in the miracles of Jesus feeding a group of 5,000 and 4,000 men, not including women and children.

The Woman's daughter who was being oppressed by a demon was in a terrible state. This woman who came to Jesus had a desperate need and she would not go away disappointed.
After the Lord had fed the 5,000 (not including the women and the children), He dismissed the crowd and went up the mountain to pray. we see that Jesus is keeping an eye on His disciples who are battling a storm.
After Jesus fed the five thousand men besides the women and children, Jesus had an encounter that he had to handle himself to prevent a further problem.
What Jesus can do with two fish and five barley loaves can't be done by anybody else. We need to learn to bring to Jesus what we have.

God's judgment has a way of stopping us in our tracks. After God had given the Children of Israel clear warning of what would happen if they sinned, they sinned and continued to sin nevertheless. God sent his angel on two separate occasions to Manoah's wife about the son that would be born to her. Even though Manoah's wife was never named, God used her mightily.
God is not obligated to hear the prayer of sinners unless they are repenting. When the Children of Israel were preparing to go into the land of Canaan, God gave them a remedy that would help them be successful if they obeyed Him.
Before the Children of Israel enter the promised land, God lays out that if His people will obey Him, He would send rain at the proper time and ultimately meet all of their needs.
Many people condition their service to God based on feelings and what they expect Him to do. Far too many people leave off following God because they have mistakenly felt He was taking too long. We see people running after blessings rather than the blessing Giver. We need to know that blessings are a result of obedience to God's Word.
The world minimizes how seriously God takes His name. It is interesting that when God gave His law to Moses at Mt. Sinai, every situation was not clearly laid out of what should happen when a problem arose. However, the important thing to remember is that Moses took the problem to God. Discipline must be a part of every family and society.
Isn't it interesting that when the guards told the religious leaders what happened at the tomb, they believed what the guards said and told them to lie. It is also interesting to note that you do not have Pilate, the religious leaders nor any guard going to look for the body of Jesus. If His body had been stolen, clearly they would have gone to the Disciples to get the body or question them.
Jesus knew what His Goal was in this life; he would not be deterred nor taken off course. If Jesus did not stay the course, we would not be saved. On His way to the Cross, Jesus stopped to help two blind men.
One day we are leaving this life, and the question is have you made preparation to live?
Living a Holy life is not popular with the world, but it is absolutely required by God. Being Holy must be reflected in our work and in how we relate to people. Today we pick up with Leviticus 19:9,10 and consider how work is a part of God's plan.
God's Holiness demands that sin be punished. I am convinced that many people only want to hear about God's love because it makes them feel better about themselves. But God's character is Holy and we cannot do anything that we want. We are to be set apart for God's exclusive use.
While many people may not want to acknowledge God's laws, they are nevertheless affected by them. God's laws were put into place to protect us and His sexual laws were also given for our protection. Today we address a very sensitive matter regarding sexual relationships.
Anytime we try to add anything to the Blood of Christ, we taint it. There are no good works, absolutely nothing that we can do to bring about our salvation. In Leviticus, God says that the Life is in the Blood.
The Day of Atonement was the most Solemn Day of the Lord. Aaron could not just go into the Holy of Holies when he wanted. He had to present himself as God said and he could not enter into the presence of the Lord without blood.

The Priesthood was established at Mount Sinai and Aaron and his sons would now be the ones to go before the Lord to offer sacrifices on behalf of the people and for themselves. While Moses had been the mediator, God was going to work through the Priesthood.
There is a prevalent thought today that skin color should be more important than truth. In none of God's laws were skin color or favoritism of any person or group to be the standard of making decisions. God instructed Moses that the priests and the judges were to investigate truth and make their decisions based on truth. We also need to remember that we reap what we sow.
When the Israelites left Egypt, they were camped at Mt. Sinai for some time. The Lord initially spoke to Moses on Mt Sinai, but when the temple in the wilderness was built, The lord spoke to Moses from the Tent of Meeting.
Jesus' birth is the most celebrated birth of any child in history and will forever be. God used Mary and Joseph and because they were obedient to their call, God blessed them tremendously.
Luke gives the most detailed account of the events leading up to the birth of Christ. God oversaw the process of Zechariah being the priest on duty at the temple at the right time.
The Lord told Paul that he was going to Rome. Some people get sidetracked by the process God is taking them through. If you want to reach your goal, there is a process that you have to go through.
There are things in our lives that we value, but many of these things need to be thrown overboard. We are carrying cargo, but when it comes to our lives being saved, we need to throw the cargo that we have taken up overboard.
The Lord told Paul that he was going to Rome. God even used Rome to pay for Paul to get there. We have to trust God even though it does not look like things will always work out.
Paul languished in prison on charges that was not true; yet when he had the opportunity to speak to a new audience, he preached the Word of God. There can be no compromise when it comes to preaching God's Word.
When the Lord stood by Paul and told him that he was going to Rome, Paul did not know all the details of how he would get there, but he knew that he was going. As Paul is left in Prison by Governor Felix for two years, Festus becomes the Governor and Paul has to continue to deal with false accusations and plots against him.
It is indeed incredible to see God at work. No matter what the enemy may try to do to you, God is ultimately in control. There are times where our faith waivers, but we need to be faithful in carrying out the will of the Almighty God. While Paul's life was in danger, God kept him safe.
The book of Acts repeats Paul’s conversion three times. Apparently, God saw this as an important event to have it recorded three separate times. In this second part of the message, Paul is telling of his experience with the Lord for the Second time.

The Religious leaders hated Paul so much that they hired a lying lawyer to bring trumped up charges against Paul. Paul was not a man that could be bribed and he stuck to the truth no matter the cost.
Even though John Mark left Apostle Paul and his uncle Barnabas to go back to Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabas continued to honor the call that God placed on their lives.
