Roisin is practising for Godiva Festival - she's putting together a woman band of pregnant women.
This is Samantha Unsworth, she’s 22 and 16 weeks pregnant and lives in Coventry with her fiancée Steven… We wonder what he thinks of her being in the band. Samantha was one of the first to audition to be a Contraction and she wowed us with a brilliant version of Alexandra Burke’s Hallelujah, lets hope she can hit the high notes in the middle of the War Memorial Park.
Meet Cara she lives in Kenilworth with her husband and she is 29 Weeks pregnant. We first met Cara when Roisin gatecrashed a Yogo Class to scout some new members. She asked around if any of the pregnant ladies could sing and Cara astonished us with the fact that she used to be a backing singer for Take That and George Michael! Let’s hope she can find her inner diva for Godiva Festival.
Meet Ronnie, she lives in Coventry with her Husband Alan and her son Oscar. She is currently 30 weeks pregnant with her second child and we think this one is going to be born a pop star! Roisin first heard Ronnie whilst singing in the Maternity Changing Rooms at H&M however before she built up the confidence to ask Ronnie to join the band she was gone. So we sent out a broadcast to try and track Ronnie down, after one thing led to another and finally we found her!
Meet Amee, she’s 30 and lives in Coventry with her husband Kam and their little one. Amee is 26 weeks pregnant with her second child and she first pleasantly surprised us with her performance of James Bay’s Hold Back The River.
