Even young children can learn to listen or attend to what their bodies are saying. This is especially true with food. Children can learn to sense and label when they are hungry or thirsty or full or sick. Guide your child to be aware and respond to what their bodies are telling them. We should honor that and not override what their bodies are telling them. It is a useful skill for each of us to be aware of our bodies and the signals they send us. It can be learned at a very young age.
